Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Sun and the Inventor. Enjoy the 3700-word chapter. I don't own MLP, Hasbro and a few others do.

He sighed to himself before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. There was going to be more coming to mind when it came down to it. He was going to be more nervous if he spent any amount of time around this place. Then again? He rather liked it here

"There will be more insanity here than I think it's possible at the time," Maverick said while he ran a hoof down his temples before this ended.

There was a lot more on his mind than there had been before. It was a lot more interesting; he hadn't expected them to slowly walk around this place. Maverick questioned what in the name of the woman had made him question what was going on.

He smiled and looked around the room. It'd be a lot cooler if he wasn't shy about what was going on here. There were two princesses… Former princesses, one of whom had been his friend, yet here he was terrified about what was to come if he was 100% honest with himself. A lot more interested in what was coming at the time.

Still? He was fun that had been interested at the time. there was a lot on his mind than this and he knew that better than anything this was going to come down to it. He hummed as he tilted his head before he sighed to himself. He crossed his hooves across his chest.

Here he was being terrified of two people who had to do more as of the second. He cursed himself, he was constantly acting as if he was an idiot that he had been screaming in terror internally. This had made him so ticked off at the time. he was making a fool of himself, an idiot who apparently couldn't be bothered to not trip over his head.

He rubbed at his chin before finally and slowly walking back across the room and sighing as he realized something. He hadn't spoken to Celestia for a few moments and she had been rather confused at the moment.

Celestia lounged on her bed. It had been a fun moment of silence, but it had to end as all things seemed to need to. She cleared her throat before watching as Maverick returned to the couch next to her. She watched with a small smirk and a raised eyebrow.

"Sorry, just tired," Maverick said as he hummed and longed on the couch while he rolled his eyes more at himself than her.

"You act as if I'm going to hurt you if you say something stupid. Do you know how silly and hurtful that seems when it comes down to it? because it does seem silly at the end of the day, I will not at all lie about that." Celestia stated as she turned so he didn't slip and could make himself comfy. He cursed his metallic hooves as he almost seemed to slip off the couch and onto the floor as of this.

He sighed mentally before he finally pulled himself onto the couch next to him, dragging himself onto the sofa as he did so. There was a lot more on his mind than that at any rate yet he didn't concern himself with the minor details. It had gone down to it. There was a lot more on the line if he questioned before he hummed before he sighed as of the second.

Still? There was a lot more on the line before it came down to it. He sighed to himself before he clicked his hooves together. He had to control it before he questioned what to do next. It had been to as of the second before he tilted his head and sighed.

He could almost seem to feel the anxiety in the air as he tilted his head before he hummed to himself. He had a lot more as of the time.

Maverick found it almost entirely impossible to lay down next to the alicorn as he seemed to wish to do. She only smiled and seemed to slowly reach a hoof out. Maverick said nothing as she gingerly wrapped a hoof around his chest. He blinked at her before he hummed slightly, surprised and a bit worried before she seemed to roll her eyes. She hugged him gently, making his snout and muzzle rest against the fur of

"I can't hug someone?" Celestia questioned with a smile that almost seemed to widen more and more with each second as he sighed and seemed to glance around the room.

Only she could make a hug seem so terrifying. It wasn't as if he hated the gesture, Maverick couldn't remember the last time he had been hugged before, and seemed as if she had been a lot more.

He hummed before he glanced around the room. Why did everything seem to be next to impossible as of now? It was almost maddening if not for the idea that there had been more to fathom and question. A lot more was to come sooner or later. It had to end sooner or later and sooner honestly was better than if he hadn't been kidding himself.

Still? More was needed to be done when it came down to it, this was going to need to end one way or another way. This was going to be a lot funnier at the end of the day.

Celestia could only roll her eyes at her friend before she hummed to herself. This had been a lot more interesting to her either way.

It'd be a larger pill to swallow if not for the fact that she had so much more on her mind at the end of the day.

This was going to be something that he had to do slowly and painfully.

He had a lot more time on his mind. It'd be a lot more curious if not for the simple idea they had to deal with so many problems at once. It'd come down to how fast he could properly. It had to be said when all was said and done that this was a lot more interesting at the end of the day. it had to be done before the deadline or else he'd probably end with something then.

He'd be a lot more to do next. This had to be a lot more to say and do next before. It'd be a lot more exciting if given that chance.

This had been a lot funnier than it was at the end of the day. this had been a lot funnier than it came down to it. this had been a lot funnier than she expected it. She had been a lot funnier than she expected when it came down to it. this was a lot funnier at the time. She clicked her hooves together, interested in what he'd say or do next when it came down to it.

Maverick seemed to calm down before he turned to look over at her before he sighed. He ran a hoof over his temples. He'd be happy if not for the second when all was said and done. It'd be a lot more as of the time.

he turned to see the Alicorn who was closer than he had expected. It'd be a lot worse if he didn't laugh.

"I'm sorry, I'm just so tired from the work… This had been a lot funnier than I expected. It'd be so much more fun than this was said and done. He'd be a lot happier when all was said and done." Maverick stated before he rubbed at his eyes before he hummed to himself.

He sighed before looking back at her. She knew better. He was just tired. If it was anything like what she usually seemed to deal with at the end of the day? Well, they'd a be a lot more when it came down to it.

Then why in the world had he chided himself so much? It was a little terrifying thing for now. This had been something odd for now, it had been part of his mind after all. The tactics and trappings had been oh so much of a boost.

It had been a lot odder though if he was honest. The idea had little promise at the second. His mind raced with every little piece of the idea when all had been done and dusted… It was a fun little part of his mind, a fun little distraction from the hustle and bustle of this. This had been a lot more fun for them. Whatever little part of this came with it. The idea had been something odd for now. It had been more to handle. Whatever came next was going to be a nightmare on his mind. Whatever it was now? it was going to hurt his brain for now. It had been something cool and exciting.

Celestia could only laugh before now. She had been a lot amused by the Pegasus. Not in the way, one found a puppy to be exciting, but it seemed as of now. This had been a fun little distraction before as of now. She had been a lot more curious before now.

"Are you sure you, ok?" Celestia questioned before he nodded. "This had been a lot more of a good thing. It's not often you get to deal with hero work, is it?" Celestia questioned as Maverick hummed and nodded to himself.

This had been something fun for now. He sighed and tried not to stretch out his arms towards her as he did so. It's not as obvious as he seemed to think… And she didn't seem to mind the metal poking her side as she turned to see that he had a lot more to do next. It had made her amused before now. It had a lot more of an oddity as of now.

Still, the alicorn princess… The former princess smirked to herself before tapping him on the head and once more wondering as of now. It had been a lot more of an interesting thing for now.

"I'm fine, just a little thrown off if I'm honest," Maverick added before he sighed. "My brain is honestly fried from all the stuff I've been through. Today just wasn't the best day when it comes to mentally being prepared for now. I don't know what's going to happen next if I'm all honest. I don't know what will come next. Sometimes I don't know if the day after is even going to be worth it with how odd and weird it is. Seems a little off in my mind." Maverick stated before he sighed as of now.

Maverick added nothing for the time being as he considered what to say and do for now. It had been odd for him to handle, for now, but it had been something he was beginning to get used to knowing, what came next was all too weird for the Pegasus to just ignore or act like it meant nothing to him, the idea was probably a lot worse than this.

Celestia hummed, looking at him with a bemused smile that seemed to be thrown off by what was coming next. There was more to this problem than it seemed. What little problems had been coming onwards for now? it had been a little thrown off by this problem.

She watched as Maverick hummed, tilting his head to the side, all too curious for now, she tilted her head before smirking at him, what he seemed to know was she was enjoying this. It was a little thing that had made him laugh more than anything.

"Are you always this amused by someone being a bit skittish or am I just special like that?" Maverick questioned to which he tilted his head to the side.

It had been a lot weirder than she expected, but the odd thing was just as odd as she made it.

"No, it's just your so skittish for no reason. I'm not going to do anything. It isn't as if I've not retired…" Celestia said as Maverick rolled his eyes.

"Retiring doesn't mean you don't enjoy certain things. I'm going to retire soon, don't exactly think of any problems like they can just be handled with metals and such." Maverick said before he shrugged, his metallic wing folding inward slightly.

"Then why haven't you already? It isn't exactly like you've been doing poorly at your job, isn't it?" Celestia questioned to which Maverick hummed.

"Guess I just enjoy doing what I do. Comes with the job I guess and I enjoy what I do. Kinda makes it hard for me to quit I guess, too much fun doing little things with little amounts of problems." Maverick said before he rubbed at his snout. "Sure, there might be problems here and there, but it ain't like you give up just because something is tough. I'm sure you may know something about problems and how to beat them?" Maverick asked with a knowing smile at his muzzle as he did so.

She pushed at his shoulder. She liked this, liked knowing that there was a problem that couldn't be handled so easily. She liked the banter that she had with her friend, knowing he knew her struggles yet didn't cause more problems to be dealt with, he didn't pry at her wounds as he seemed to know the problems had been for now. it had been a lot more of a weird bit of respect between them, something that she rather enjoyed the more she spent her around a friend.

Yet? Part of her wondered what would happen of a weird for now. What she seemed I lot more of a weird little thing for her to handle, a weird little niche at the end of the day and she was growing to like it the more it came along with enough time and effort long enough.

He wasn't thinking enough, wasn't enough to properly focus his efforts on fixing it before now. He had a lot more to question and a lot more to focus on.

He had a lot more to question before today was done and dusted before now. He rubbed at his nose, perhaps it had been an odd little thing that had hadn't been able to focus upon anything.

He had a lot more to do anyway when he got home. There was a lot more to focus on now. He was tired, he was wearing down, and he'd like to be able to lay his blasted head down properly and focus on it if nothing else. There was just too much for him to take, for anyone to take, for him to want to properly wear himself down while it was.

He yawned, too unable to process it and not at all willing to wear himself down if at all for anyone or anything.

It still made him question what to do as Celestia wrapped a wing over the pony, making him glance at the princess as he tried his best to handle it and his best to breathe in and out, focusing on what little he had left to do. He yawned to himself while clearing his throat.

"Sorry, I'm usually not this tired when push comes to shove. It's the long hours wearing me down." Maverick stated that he questioned before now what would be happening and how to do next.

He knew she was going to be an odd little woman to him. It was written over his face… It was always going to be written across her muzzle while she hummed, tilting her head to the side in merriment and wonder. There was more going on tonight than she had hoped that there was always going to be more to her little game.

She watched as Maverick cleaned off his hooves. There was more on his side, he questioned before it came down to it. There was always something grilling him, always something here.

He turned to Celestia, watching the spry smile cross her lips, making her look more like a doll that had been dressed up rather than a former princess. Then again? He rarely saw Celestia in person so he supposed there was room for interpretation. There was only so much he could have done, for now, so much he could yawn and suggest to the princess. But? He supposed that was just her, maybe she just wanted it a certain way. He didn't know, but he did know it was fun and he liked fun, there was more fun coming.

"Are you going to be, ok?" Maverick stated before he questioned before he sighed.

Celestia nodded, a lot more thrown off than she tilted her head, looking around for now. There was a focus on what else could go wrong for the time being.

He hadn't the proper idea for now. There was a lot more to question for now. There was a lot more focus upon what to do next, he smiled and slowly trotted back over, a pep in his step as he did so. It only made Celestia roll her eyes at this.

Her ponies had seemed to be focused more on what to handle for now. There was more to this little idea than he had believed. A lot more, something that hadn't yet been handled for now. He seemed to question for now what she'd do as he took a seat next to her and she once again placed a wing around his side, making him look over at her before he yawned, all too focused before he sighed was to tilt his head, glancing at her before he sighed, looking at the second for now.

He questioned what to do as he sighed, nuzzling his head into the sofa. There was a lot more to handle before now. He seemed all too unsure of what to do.

Celestia could only roll her eyes. There was more to this game. A lot more that she didn't need on her plate. There was a lot more on the plate than usual, a lot more she found to be more amusing than usual. It almost made her laugh… But she supposed it wouldn't do more than make her friend roll her eyes. Life was all too sweet for now. She questioned before he hummed while he sighed as he hummed. There was something else for now. There was something else upon the mind.

Something odd, something that whistled through it like it was just more or less a nightmare.

She wrapped her wing further over Maverick, ensuring that he didn't fall off and over the couch. It might have been funny for a moment, sure. However? She was not someone who took such amusement in someone's pain. No, she just didn't feel much of anything as she rubbed a hoof over her nose, feeling as if she was as worried as this time.

She watched as Maverick slowly yet surely laid down, ensuring that he didn't fall off as he laughed, snickering ever so lightly as he did so. Such things constantly bothered her if they would have happened, the idea of someone smashing into the floor like so? No, simply horrible when it came down to it. Simply horrendous.

She looked at him, watching as he curled his wings inwards, draping them over himself to hide his face which only served to bring a giggle as she did so.

Yes, it would be rather funny for now, much funnier
