The babies end up getting spoiled rotten, and there isn't much we have to buy before they get here.

Your nesting rubs off on me, and I spend a lot of time in the nursery, cutting tags off clothing and doing an insane amount of laundry so everything will be clean and ready.

The cribs are set up even though Esme and Carlisle got us a matching set of co-sleeper bassinets. It'll be a while before the babies are ready to sleep in their own room, but you want everything to be picture perfect.

Things at work are going great. Lauren and Eric fit right in and are eager to step in while Maggie is on vacation with her family. When she gets back, she'll be a full-time veterinarian, and I'll start working part time until I give birth. We haven't decided how long I'll take off for maternity leave, but knowing Jasper has reliable people will help when I make my decision.

I love being a vet, but I just know I'm going to love motherhood more.

I'm reading my pregnancy book when you poke your head in the room. "Hey, Lovely."

"Yup?"

"Would you like to drive into the city with me? Leah and Jake need some things for this weekend, and I thought we could hit up some baby stores while we're out there."

I smile. "Add a trip to the soft pretzel stand and I'll go just about anywhere with you."

You laugh and tell me to be ready in fifteen minutes.

I begrudgingly get up and change into a soft maternity dress your mom got me and a pair of flip flops because it's freaking hot outside.

You meet me at the door with a giant cup of lemon water because your latest worry is that I'm not hydrating properly. I humor you because I love you, and I know you have my best interest at heart.

While we make the drive into the city we talk baby names.

"Scarlett?"

"No. What about Hayden?"

"I like that one." I write it down in the maybe column. "Piper?"

You shake your head. "No. I knew one in high school, and she was a bitch."

We go back and forth until we come up with a more condensed list. While I munch on a jalapeno cheddar pretzel, we decide on the names of our children, and it's everything.

I know they need to bake for a little longer, but I can't wait to meet them.
