After a dark, cold, and stormy night, neither Billie nor Franny got a long rest before morning came and they had to hit the road again. They had left the "haunted house", which wasn't as scary in the daytime. The two of them made their way to a nearby train station across town. Honestly, if they were going to get in any more trouble, it was going to be in town, and neither of them wanted to stick around just so they could cause trouble.

It had been forty-five minutes since they bought their tickets, and there was no sign of a train coming over.

"God dammit, when is it coming?!" Billie said impatiently

"Calm down… It has to come sometime soon, I just know it." Franny reassured her

"It better come… I can't handle this mayhem much longer."

"Same here."

"YOU!" Came a voice that was familiar to both our heroines. It was a voice Franny recognized and a voice that made Billie shiver

"I've been waiting for the day I would find your filth again…" He was clearly talking to Billie "You're going to pay for what you did to Joe…"

Billie shrieked and hid behind Franny for protection.

"Goob…?" Franny recognized the vengeful boy as Michael Yagoobman, someone both Franny and Billie went to school with before they dropped out.

"I thought I told you not to call me that! I hate that name!"

"Heeeeeey Michael…" Billie said softly from behind Franny

"Don't 'heeeeeey' me, you know what you did!" He made it seem as whatever Billie did in the past made him furious. "You're the reason Joe tried to kill himself!"

"Excuse me, what is even going on?" Franny asked confusedly

"Stay out of this. This is between me and her." Goob snapped at Franny "Speaking of which, I highly recommend dumping this abuser before she does the same thing to you that she did to my boyfriend."

"What happened to Joe wasn't Billie's fault…!" Franny refuted, knowing what he was talking about "Plus, Billie has been nothing but a sweetheart ever since we got together."

"That's what she wants you to think." He said in a harsh whisper "Just watch your back." And with that, Micheal walked away.

Billie was still shaking after Goob's words. Franny put her hand on Billie's shoulder to comfort her.

"He's right..." Billie said, sniffling "It's my fault Joe tried to kill himself."

"No, it's not. What happened to Joe had nothing to do with you. It was something else." Franny replied "You need to stop blaming yourself."

"I can't… I want to die." Billie whispered.

Franny hugged her tightly. "I'm not going to let anything happen to either of us."
