Planet: Tatooine

Jabba's Palace

It was unintentional, a meeting between two people having a long history. History can't be changed, neither can return to the past ever happen, what's done is done. Kara is forced to confront the consequential results by meeting a sluggish worm sitting lazily on a throne. It looked with a pleasant expression as though proud of his accomplishment. If Kara is right about her thought, worst things are bound to happen right after an exchange of words between old enemies.

It's a surprise Jabba hasn't considered involving decorative dancers, musicians or the various species that may or may not have sentience, especially not a crowd to watch her demise. This could be an advantage for Kara if she can bear the constant pain from the kryptonite exposure. Her collars are laced with kryptonite, burning away her strength gradually until she becomes far weaker than a normal being, which is why she needs to find the right moment to subdue Jabba before dealing with his bounty hunters.

Jabba speaks in Huttese language, talking to Kara. He knows Kara won't understand, which is the reason for a droid standing by his side to translate everything he says.

"The Great Jabba is aware of your possible escapes. Move a muscle, the collars will electrocute you. As a Kryptonian, the pain is unbearable.", the droid said, translating Jabba's words.

"Cautious, huh? Not the thing I heard about the Hutts they would rely on cheap methods to subdue a Kryptonian.", Kara said with mockery. Again, Kara listens boringly to Jabba's Huttese language.

"A mutual friend born from the destroyed planet you once resided gave us a find understanding how to take down Kryptonians with ease, and not waste bounty hunters in the process", the droid translated Jabba's words.

"A mutual friend born from the destroyed planet?", Kara muttered in a questioning manner. A destroyed planet Kara before lived in was what Jabba said the mutual friend was born from. Kara lived her life in two planets, Krypton and her adoptive world. Could he mean...?, she thought, starting to figure out who Jabba refers to.

"You are summoned before the great Jabba to explain your trespass prior your transfer to the Empire", the droid said.

"I will once you release me from these collars", Kara said. Jabba speaks again, this time, his tone sounded threatening, which slightly worried Kara. Is she now going to be executed?

"Jabba warns that if you do not respond to his question, Connor Queen will suffer the most as a result of your actions", the droid said.

"Connor?", Kara exclaimed in shocked.

"He's in the interrogation room as we speak. Electrocuted, beaten severely, on the brink of death", the droid said.

Kara shut her eyes tightly, an unpleasant expression displayed as she was unable to bear the pain Connor feels. Of course the Empire and Jabba are working together. Jabba has affiliated with the Empire since the time it was only known as Galactic Republic. The options are difficult. It's about possibly saving the Multiverse or letting the world rot with the Empire's rising power growing exponentially till it devours all life over the whole Multiverse.

Jabba's palace is heavily guarded by his Bounty Hunters covering every part of the area. They are wielding weapons in case they encounter something proving a danger to Jabba or at least what it is a part of. They trooped around the troops, watching from above since they have a clear sight of what's below. Or so what they thought. What they did not come to notice is a pinkette next to the rotunda.

Aelita has arrived with the guidance of the Force that brought her here. The Force showed her Kara is here, and it implies she might be in danger. The issue that holds her back, forces her to pause is seeing two bounty hunters with weapons. Aelita knows she can defeat every single Bounty Hunter even if they all tried to surround her, and attempt to overpower her. They are not difficult to defeat. The difficulty arose because Kara is inside with likely kryptonite increasing her suffering. The moment the bounty hunters see Aelita is when disaster occurs for Kara.

A little climb was needed. She wasn't much of a wall-crawler like her friend Odd, though in situations she did have to resort to wall-climbing. Aelita doesn't know why she casts her mind back to Lyoko doing this missions. The past doesn't matter. She moved along the steep roof, each foot sliding rightward until she finally reaches the door.

She landed, and used the Force to telekinetically slam two bounty hunters' heads onto one another, knocking them down unconscious. She used teleknesis again to open the doors in order to get an entrance to the palace. As soon as the door opens, she ran inside the palace.

"The great Jabba wishes to hear your response for if you decline, the Grand Inquisitor will not hesitate to hurt Connor Queen", the droid said, translating Jabba again.

Kara is very hesitant to withdraw the reason. The family or the Universe. Is she intending to relinquish the long hard years of trying to destroy the Empire in exchange for Connor, one of the two pieces left of her connection to her husband Oliver Queen? She lowered her head, thinking about what is the right way. In fact, neither of the options are the right way. The right ways seem to have their own errors, opens a new path to countless futures based on her actions. Is it worth sacrificing Connor to keep her reasons for coming to Tatooine in the dark?

Jabba waits patiently, and calmly for Kara's answer. Regardless of seeing her answering or staying quiet, he has yearned for this moment to happen, to punish Kara even though his way is indirect. He wouldn't resist letting the Empire hurt Supergirl's adoptive son.

A hologram appears near Supergirl.

Kara saw Connor Queen, shirtless, fastened to rack, shrouded with intense flows of electricity. The marks on his face indicate he was maltreated by the Inquisitors. The sight of individuals wearing gray bodysuits with black armor plates and shoulder plates confirm they are accountable to the beating of Connor Quuen. The Empire really wants to break Kara both physically and mentally.

"We meet again, Kryptonian", the bald Inquisitor said, communicating with Kara using a holographic communicator.

Not so hard to forget about him. Kara and him fought recently, which was when Connor was subsequently captured.

"You see with your own eyes, Kara. Your badly beaten son at the brink of death", the Grand Inquisitor said. "He shares many qualities with his father, he endures brutality, and resists being probed.".

"Tch!", Kara expresses frustration.

"I predict he bears anymore savagery he may die", the Grand Inquisitor said coldly.

Aelita has finally entered the throne room. Taking out the guards inside the palace with stealth wasn't hard. She saw from her very own eyes a blonde-haired woman with the same face she hadn't seen for years lowered, and collared by Jabba, and is forced to watch a boy's suffering by the Inquisitors.

"Have you firmly decided to reveal your reason for coming to Tatooine?", Grand Inquisitor said. "Surely, you have come for the same reason as us".

Kara looked at Grand Inquisitor with a confused expression.

"Deception is a foolish move. We know you are here in Tatooine to find the whereabouts of the Anodite.", Grand Inquisitor addressed. "What other reason would you have to travel to the dune sea full of ghosts?".

They know what she was doing in Tatooine, and they took that opportunity to stop her. If Aelita hadn't picked Tatooine as the planet for hiding, Kara wouldn't fall into this situation between picking choices. Luckily, she doesn't need. Aelita melds with the shadows.

"Now that you understand we have as much knowledge as you do, enlighten us on where you've heard the rumours from?", Grand Inquisitor said. "The Empire will gladly hand over Connor Queen for your cooperation". He glances at the breathless Connor. "limbless". Cutting off Connor's legs will fill the void of certainty he will never physically get involved in missions against the Empire.

Kara turns her head away, eyes shut tightly. Let the Inquisitors continue torturing Connor or reveal how she heard the rumours, both choices lead to bad things happening. There is no benefit that sucks consequential results away. In the end, the Empire will live with the last possible hope shattered. "I...", Kara finally speaks even though she did not have an option, which is shown as she paused. She looks up at the hologram. "I-". Before she could utter, the hologram suddenly fractured into fringes of hologram before shrinking until Kara couldn't the see the hologram.

No hologram, Kara thought. She looks at Jabba. He is as surprised as she is. She sees Jabba is trying to contact his bounty hunters. His communicator isn't working, and he subsequently realised his droid isn't active, which surprised Kara too.

Jabba exclaimed in Huttese language, wondering who turned his personal droid off.

From the shadows a hand emerges, igniting a pinkish emanation next to Jabba's head.

Jabba tried to twist his head as he noticed a pink light. He couldn't. His body froze, his lips are perpetual, and his eyes are covered by pink energy. He once sighted Kara, his last sight, until the eyesight blackens to entirely blackness.

Kara noticed Jabba fainted, much to her surprise. She did see a hand came that seemed to be the cause of Jabba passing out. "Who's there?!", Kara said loudly. She needed her voice loud enough to make the unknown being notice her question.

The individual came out of the shadows, approaching Kara.

The glimmer soars around the unknown individual's appearance as it becomes more visible. A lady with pink hair, covered with robes. Kara immediately recognised her. She's never changed in size, or appearance. "Aelita", Kara exclaimed in joy, smiling.

Aelita returned the smile. She lowered to her knees. Aelita uses the Force to shatter the collars laced with kryptonite that weakened her.

This is more than joy, this is a reunion between old friends, old allies. Their paths have finally intertwined.
