The next morning Marinette decided to dress up differently in purple pants, white shirt and purple converse. She was gonna change her hairstyle but decided to leave it alone. Once she got to school, Marinette decided to sit on the staircase and just go on her social media for a bit about Ladybug. A few moments later, Alya & the boys were near Marinette asking if she was okay and what Fei said to her yesterday. Marinette said "Yeah guys I'm okay. It's just Fei told me she has been noticing us from a distance and she did notice my actions towards you, Adrien". Adrien asked "Towards me? What did I do? I barely talked to her".
Marinette was waving her hands back and forth saying "Not like that. It's just that you have been pushing yourself on me and I just want us to be friends". Adrien was a bit heartbroken hearing the word 'Friend' come out of Marinette's mouth. Before Adrien could say anything else, the gang heard a motorcycle coming to school. It was hard to tell who it was because she was wearing a black helmet that really covered her face.
The motorcycle was all black, the seat was white and had two side mirrors. The driver had a black shirt, blue jeans, white converse and black fingerless gloves with a plain red backpack with a gold dragon keychain. The driver took off her helmet and the gang was shocked it was Fei. They were confused because they did see her dad drop her off the past few days. Marinette was shocked but in her mind she was excited that this girl was so cool with a motorcycle. She was thinking if Fei did wear a leather jacket then it would look hot on her. Marinette shook her head and thought "Stay focus Mari. Yeah a girl having a motorcycle is awesome but seeing Fei ride one alone. I kinda hope I can ride so I can squeeze behind her and feel her warmth'. Marinette felt her cheeks blush again but tried to keep it low. Even if Alya asked why she was a bit red? Marinette fanned herself and tried to avoid the topic by being her silly self.
Fei parked her motorcycle near the bike locks. She knows she can leave it in the street but doesn't know if anyone is gonna take it. Fei was on her way to class but did notice Marinette staring at her in amazement. While Fei was trying to hide her smile from seeing Marinette. Adrien was about to continue his explanation about the past days, the bell rang again and the classmates know they can't be late again this month.
After class was over, Marinette had to put in her stuff which took a while and none of her friends could wait for her because they had their own projects, homework or classes to attend. When marinette finished, Fei was a bit behind her in the staircase of the class and said "Wow, I wasn't expecting you to be last today. Normally you have everything under control.' Marinette jumped a bit, turned fast while putting her backpack on her back. Fei laughed and said "Note to self you can be a bit jumpy when you get scared". Marinette lowered her guard and said "Fei you scared me. I thought you left class too since we don't see each other until 2 more classes". Fei smirked and said "Cute Mari that you keep track of me like I'm yours".
Marinette felt flustered and said "Ohh no no.. I.. I don't mean like I'm keeping track of you as your mine or that I'm a stalker." Fei laughed again and said "I was joking Marinette. You're so silly but that's another charming thing about you that I like". Marinette felt her face turn red, turned away and put her fingers together shyly. She thought 'Wow I never had a girl compliment me and so straightforward'. Fei stepped forward towards Marinette who looked backed up and saw her close to her. Fei said "So we're still on for Saturday?".
Marinette was in shock for a bit before she could answer. Fei grabbed her left wrist and dragged her out of the class. Marinette snapped out of her state and said "Fei! We're not in danger". Fei said "I know but people are starting to come in and we have to get to class. Before I let you go, I need to know your answer". Marinette smiled, looked at Fei with her calming eyes and said "Yes Fei, we're still on for our da..da…" Marinette realized she was choking on the last word. At this point, Marinette wasn't sure if it was a date or them spending time as friends. Before Marinette could try again, Fei said "Girl time". Marinette put her right hand behind her head, giggled and said "Hehe yeah girl time."
Fei was walking to the staircase to go down but before she could take a step. She turned her face around to see Marinette, smirked and said "See you Saturday. Wear something nice & I'll pick you up at 12 pm." Marinette couldn't help but smile and say "See Saturday you.. I mean see you.. you .. you tomorrow." Fei giggled and walked to her next class. Marinette went down the stairs, hid behind a nearby pole with no one around and said "Tikki, I don't know what happened back there but I was stuttering again. The only time I ever did was with Adrien & Luka. I never felt that way towards girls but Fei seems way different than the others." Tikki said "Marinette you're still a teenager you're still growing mentally and physically. In this time you can learn that maybe you can like boys, girls or both or maybe be open into other types of relationships. So maybe Fei is someone who is opening you up to new possibilities of love." Marinette looked away, put her right hand on her left arm, smiled and thought 'Hmm I mean Tikki has a point I am still growing, every time I see Fei my heart just races and I feel safe being around her.'
When Marinette got home, she finished her house chores, helped her parents with bakery orders and homework. At night Marinette was in her pajamas looking out the window and thinking 'If Fei was a hero I would like to know what her outfit would be like. She has so many cool bad girl outfits'. Marinette looked at Tikki who was sleeping inside the Guardian box and decided she didn't want to wake her up. So Marinette decided to go onto the balcony just lost in her thoughts thinking about what she was going to wear or say to Fei.
All of a sudden Marinette hears a thump noise behind her. Marinette was shocked to see Chat Noir on her roof and said "Chat what are you doing here?". Chat said "I came to check to see if you are okay. How has everything been?". Chat grabs Marinette's hand to kiss it but Marinette lets it happen. Marinette said "Chat, take a seat." Then he was sitting on one of the chairs outside and she sat in the other. Chat looked at Marinette carefully and said "Mari you don't seem like you're fully here mentally. Everything okay? Anything exciting or crushes in your life?". Marinette felt herself jump a bit when she heard the word 'crush'.
Chat touched Marinette's leg and said "Princess you can tell me anything. You can always trust me." Marinette looked at Chat's eyes, looked down, closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She looked back at Chat and said "Yeah Chat I trust you with my life since you've saved it so many times. But I have been dealing with something difficult this past week. I don't know how it started but it was that Monday morning." Chat's ears peaked up when he heard Monday morning and said "Ohh that sounds interesting Prrriiinncess. So who's the lucky guy? The reason I'm asking this is because when I said crush I noticed you jumped." Marinette's eyes went a bit because she didn't expect Chat to notice her jump. Marinette said "I thought guys don't notice small things about girls. Yeah my heart and mind has been all over the place the past 3 days."
Chat was intrigued and said "Hmm tell me more about it. I mean besides me, a devilish handsome hero in disguise." Marinette giggled a bit and said "Silly Kitty..If confessions were easy I would have done it to my previous crush". Chat seemed confused and said "What do you mean? I heard from some people that you had a huge crush on Adrien Agreste? Which girl wouldn't want to be with him? Especially since he has a ton of money & is really popular in Paris." Marinette sighed, rolled her eyes and seemed a bit annoyed. Marinette shook her head and said in an annoyed voice "I mean I used to love him but these past 6 months he never noticed me after all I did for his ungrateful ass. Sorry he's not a bad person, I'm just a bit upset. Even if I was still into him I wouldn't go after him because of money to look like a gold digger. He's way more than his appearance and status in class".
Chat asked "If you see Adrien more than his looks which is a good thing. I know I have tons of fans following me too but I would rather have one girl see me for who I really am. What I don't understand is that. If you have a crush on someone and it's not Adrien. Then who is it? Is it another guy?". Chat did feel a bit jealous if it was another guy he knows in person. Marinette said "I wish it was a boy. My feelings have been really complicated for someone else who I never thought would flip my world upside down." Chat said "Come on, Marinette spill what you are trying to avoid. Let me help you."
Marinette was squeezing her pajama pants near her knees but got up and walked around for a bit while taking deep breaths, feeling her face turn red and having some tears fall down. After Chat grabbed her by the shoulders, looked her in the eyes to calm down and said "You can tell me anything." Marinette said "Please promise me you won't tell a living soul. I can't have everyone know this. If so it will ruin my self esteem". Chat was in shock, put his hands up and said "Cat's honor I won't tell a soul! I'll let you say it to others when you're ready." Marinette whipped her eyes a bit and calmed down. She said "The truth is Chat this past week I've been developing feelings for a girl. I never thought I would have these feelings for the same sex. A friend of mine did tell me that it's normal to be experiencing lo.. Lo.. crushes in many forms. I know I barely met her but I just felt this strong connection."
Marinette looked at Chat who was in shock then all of a sudden Chat put his hands on his head all confused. He said "Marinette, are you sure you have these feelings for a girl? It could be a phase or you think you can like both genders when you can like one later on?" Marinette felt offended that Chat was accepting how she felt. She was getting a bit upset and said "Chat! I thought you would be okay with me liking someone else. Don't tell me you're homophobic when we're in Paris the city of Love. I can't believe someone like yo-". Chat said with his hands waving back and forth "Wait wait wait Marinette! I didn't mean to come up as homophobic. I just think that this could be a phase and it's okay if you want to be with someone other than Adrien."
Chat thought 'I can't believe it would probably swing both ways but then again it can be hot'. Chat asked "Since you said it was a girl. Could you tell me who she is and what makes her special to you?". Marinette walked over to the balcony to look over the city of lights while warm air was blowing her hair. Marinette said "I may not know her fully but every time I see or text or talk to her. She makes my heart skip a beat and I can be my true self without going overboard. Not only because she has a black belt trophy winning martial artist and as much as I would like to see her practice. I would need to know if she would want me there. What makes her special to me is she seems very interested in me, wants to hear all my hopes & dreams, is very playful, observant of little details and protective of me when I'm in danger." Chat was just astonished on how Marinette was paying so much attention to this girl.
Chat gulped, slowly stepped closer to her and said "Wow sounds like you really have feelings for this girl. I don't see how you can feel so conflicted. You forgot to say her name?". Marinette turned around to see Chat and said "I guess I'm just conflicted if my feelings for her are true and if she maybe feels the same way." Chat was just staring at her to know he has her support now. Marinette took a deep breath and said "The girl I have a crush on is from school. Her name is…. Fei and I suggested we go around Paris." Chat's heart all of a sudden felt like it broke a bit. For Adrien it hurt a lot hearing that the new girl has Marinette's full attention and that she asked out a girl.
Chat crossed his arms but tried to talk in a calm voice saying "So you asked her out on a date basically but you can't say it. Am I right?." Marinette's eyes got big with shock, put her hands together all nervous and said "Yeah I did ask her out and can't say that word cause I'm not sure if it is a "date" or me showing her the place." Chat nodded and said "If you feel that you need someone to keep you girls to feel safe I can observe you girls from a distance." Marinette put her left hand as a stop sign and said "Ohh noo we don't need that. Fei can protect me. Besides I think it's better if we have alone time and we do have you and Ladybug. I would like Fei to meet the heroes of Paris but maybe another time." Marinette crossed her arms, thanked Chat for the suggestions and told him that it was getting late.
Before Chat could leave her balcony, Marinette grabbed his tail and he turned around shocked. Marinette said "Thank you Chat for listening to me. I know I never experienced this about a girl but this is something new I would like to discover on my own." Chat nodded, smiled and said "No problem. You're my friend and I made a cat promise. Get some sleep goodnight Marinette." Marinette got back inside to be in her bed and fell asleep feeling at peace knowing someone knows her feelings she has been dealing with these past days.
Chat was on his way from Marinette's house into his house and once Chat transformed into Adrien. He changed into his pajamas to get ready for bed. Plagg just went to sleep once he got home after he ate cause he was tired. Adrien got into bed fully knowing how Marinette feels about him when he started to have feelings for her. He did start to cry a bit cause he was heartbroken to learn that Marinette did have feelings for him back then. But he was starting to blame himself on how he never noticed it and if he did then they would have been together. Even if they were together, he wouldn't have known if Marinette would have secretly fallen for Fei or that he would have seen Fei take Marinette away from him.
Adrien doesn't have anything against any lgbt people since he know their friends Rose & Juleka are girlfriends while Rose is bisexual and Juleka is lesbian. However he never thought Marinette could be into both but he kinda believes it could be a phase. He wants to spy on her & Fei but he doesn't want to lose Marinette's trust in Chat so he will let her deal with that date. He knows he has to see her tomorrow at school so he has to remain calm and maybe keep an eye on Fei. He doesn't want Marinette to get hurt from this first girl crush but he can't show any jealousy unless he wants to ruin his friendship with Marinette. Remembering that this past week the way Marinette was afraid of Adrien for a bit and explaining why she didn't like what he did. He does regret trying to force himself onto her. After letting his tears out for a bit but crying quietly to not wake up Plagg and that he was taught to not show weakness.
I was gonna write Fei & Marinette going on that date in this chapter but I decided to include Chat to know Marinette's true feelings. Since she needed someone to talk to and have someone understand her instead of keeping it in. I will have Marinette make Fei a hero but I will try to include their love square in this series. I'm sorry it took me a while to write this because I have been binge watching stuff & trying to get a different job.
