Here we go guys… the final chapter in the gold Ranger arc. I am honestly glad that you guys enjoyed the last two chapters, even though I'm being a total jerk with the cliffhangers. That's just the kind of writer I am… and by that, I mean I'm EVIL!
Going back on topic, this arc has been fun since I got to revisit one of my favorite anime and have them react to the Power Rangers, as well as showing off Kaicilious. After this chapter, we won't have the next Ranger appear for a while cause I admit… having Ed join only a few chapters after Spike was kinda dumb. Still, if you guys have a fun chapter idea, please let me know.

To recap: Things for the Rangers were taking a drastic turn when Natsu and Spike discovered the holder of the Gold Dimension Crystal was Edward Elric. Elsewhere, the others began meeting up with others from the world before Vektor teleported them back into the Legacy. Once they explained the situation to Edward and his allies, the two groups opted to work together in order to free Amestris of Kaicilious' forces. Splitting into small groups, they begin diverting attention away from the hostages, though Kaicilious ended up attacking Yusei's group.
How will Yusei's team handle the ambush? And will the others get there in time? Let's find out…
'Several minutes earlier'
Kaicilious was not in the best of moods, though no one could really blame him. After all, he had both Vektor and the Black Ranger in the palm of his hand, ready to end both of them.
And yet somehow, in some way… they were able to escape! Sure, he was able to beat down Vektor and injured the other Rangers, but not being able to take their lives was just so irritating. The worst part about it was that the Rangers and those other humans were MUCH weaker than the original ones, yet they still avoided him!
'I swear the next time I find a Ranger, I'll rip out their throat.' Kaicilious thought with an irritated expression as he cleaned his blade with a rag, making sure it was in prime condition for his next battle.
The doors to his room opened up, revealing one of his Ravenger bots, blaster in hand. "What is it?"
The Ravenger began beeping several times, and although most wouldn't understand what it was saying, Kaicilious understood easily.
"An attack? Is it the Rangers?" Kaicilious questioned the machine, which beeped in response. Rubbing his chin, Kaicilious soon began to smile as he realized what this meant. "Find where the Golden Crystal holder is located. We shall strike there first and gain the others afterwards. And leave… no… survivors."
All the Ravenger was beep as Kaicilious stood up, putting on his helmet as he sheathed his sword.
Now… he was going to make the Rangers suffer.
'Present time'
"Hello there… Gold Crystal carrier." Kaicilious said to Edward, who was held in place by two Ravengers. Armstrong was in no better shape as his face was shoved on the grass, much to his annoyance. As for Yusei, he stood up from his recent crash and attempted to pull out his Dimension Blaster, only for two more Ravengers to grab his arms and pull him towards the others.
"Why are you doing this? All for a rock?!" Edward shouted at Kaicilious in anger, not realizing the hypocrisy.
"A rock?" Kaicilious questioned before he suddenly backhanded Edward, making him spit out some blood. "That 'rock' happens to be a part of an even greater power! If it were up to me, I would break your neck!" He then gave Edward a dark glare. "However, Oblivion may find some use in you. Though your friend here is another matter."
"Leave them alone!" Yusei shouted as the Ravengers threw him in front of Kaiciluous.
"Ahh. The new Blue Ranger. What do you look like under that helmet?" Kaicilious questioned before he snapped his fingers. The Ravengers complied with the command and unclipped the sides of Yusei's helmet, pulling it off and revealing his glaring face. "What an… interesting face you have."
"You want the Dimension Crystals, right? Then why involve the people here?" Yusei demanded, not lowering his glare. "They're innocent."
"Perhaps. But it did force all of you to come here, didn't it?" Kaicilious said in a callous tone before he kneeled down to Yusei's level. "Static has told me of you, Blue Ranger. How you are capable of merging with Vektor's broken scrap pile. How you continue to shield your friends… how you failed to say one of them."
This got Edward and Alex's attention as Yusei's glare deepened. "Don't."
"How did it feel to lose your friend when he was so close? And what about those two children? I'm sure Static was VERY thorough with his research." Kaicilious continued to provoke Yusei, smirking under his helmet as he saw the stoic Signer's glare deeper. "For heroes of the weak, you Power Rangers do enjoy putting your friends in danger, don't you?"
Yusei wasn't one to let anger get the best of him, despite how many people had tried to push his buttons. But even he was having his patience pushed by the alien in front of him.
But little did Kaicilious know… he was being watched.
'With Natsu and Ichigo'
"HHHHAAAAA!" Natsu and Ichigo let out battle cries as they rushed Demolition once more, only for him to block Natsu's claws with his staff and Ichigo's sword with his own. The trio's fight had continued for some time and while none of them were showing any signs of slowing down, the faster they finished this fight the better.
"More! Keep pushing harder, Rangers!" Demolition shouted before he pushed them away, firing a blast of dark energy at Natsu. The Dragon Slayer quickly crossed his arms to block the attack before Ichigo swung his sword at a rapid pace, forcing Demolition to do on the defensive.
"Getsuga Tensho!" Slamming his foot on the ground, Ichigo spun his body, black energy surrounding his Lion Sword before he launched a close range Getsuga Tensho, sending Demolition crashing into a wall.
"Dark Blade: Rohan!" Gripping his weapons tightly, Demolition launched an X-shaped energy slash at Ichigo, who used his sword to block it. However, it was too strong and the former Soul Reaper was sent flying back.
"Man, he doesn't know when to quit. I like it." Natsu admitted out loud with a grin under his helmet. Despite being an enemy, Natsu was surprised how battle driven Demolition was.
"We can't keep wasting time like this." Ichigo added as he stood up, grunting at the pain he felt. It was clear that despite his brave face, he was still sore from his earlier battle with Kaicilious.
"Natsu! Ichigo!" Neo suddenly shouted through their Morphers, much to their surprise.
"What's up, Neo? Something wrong?" Ichigo asked, keeping an eye on Demolition.
"Our plan backfired! Kaicilious just appeared and took Yusei's group hostage!" Neo explained, much to their shock. "We need you to go help them now!"
"What about the others? Can they help?" Natsu questioned, narrowly dodging a quick slash from Demolition.
"I'll try to reach them. But since you and Mustang are the closest, I thought it'd be best to call you. Please hurry! Neo, out!" With that, Neo cut the transmission.
"It seems my master is one step ahead of you Rangers." Demolition said like it was the most obvious thing in the world as the three once again stepped back.
"Natsu, take Roy and go help Yusei." Ichigo told his team leader with a serious tone. "I'll stay and hold him off."
"No way. I'm not leaving you." Natsu argued, only for Ichigo to turn towards him.
"Better you guys than me. You're faster and stronger than I am right now, so you're Yusei's best chance. I just hope the others can help too." Ichigo reasoned with Natsu, who gritted his teeth since it did make sense.
"If I might interject, perhaps you should leave, Red Ranger." Demolition of all people told the two. "Truth be told, I would rather fight Kurosaki alone than you. He and I have unfinished business."
"... Fine!" Natsu finally blurted out before he pointed to Ichigo. "But when we're done, we'll come back for you, got it?"
"Sure. Take your time." Ichigo responded with a nod. To be honest, even Ichigo wanted to fight Demolition off alone since they had something of a rivalry. Without a moment to lose, Natsu began to run towards Mustang, who just shot another Crekor in the head with his borrowed blaster.
"Huh. These handguns are pretty useful. And light." Mustang muttered to himself as he examined the weapon he was holding. "If we can somewhat manufacture them, then Amestris can be-"
"COME ON, ROY!" Before he could finish, Natsu suddenly grabbed the older man's arm and tugged him towards the direction of Yusei's last known position.
"Hey! Stop dragging me, dammit! I can run on my own!" Mustang's yells of defiance were heard in the alleyway, leaving the two swordsmen alone.
"Surprised you'd let them go off." Ichigo confessed, making Demolition shake his head.
"They are not who I wish to fight. Besides, they are facing the man who taught me the way of the sword, so I have nothing to be concerned about." Demolition closed his staff before storing it in his belt, gripping his sword with both hands. "Now, let the real fight begin."
Ichigo didn't respond as he lifted his morpher up to his face. "This better work." He muttered to himself before pressing a certain button, allowing the device to transform. "Armor of Johton!" His body began to glow, revealing the new armor the Rangers had gotten in Povis.
"Hmmm. I assume this is how you defeat the bounty hunters my father boosted recently?" Demolition asked curiously.
"Considering it's you, I figured I should go all out." Ichigo admitted as he too grabbed his sword with both hands.
Both swordsmen looked at each other with a serious gaze before they rushed towards, clashing blades.
'With Yang's group'
"Come out, Rangers! Stop being cowards!" Longshot shouted as he fired shot after shot from his gauntlets, hitting several spots where he assumed the Rangers and their allies were hiding. It infuriated him that they were faster than him, even though he was built like a walking tank. Not only that…
THEY WERE RUNNING AROUND LIKE RATS!
"Over here!" Yang poked her head out of the corner of an alleyway she was hiding in before blasting Longshot with her blaster, though he was able to block some of it with his left arm. He quickly returned fire, forcing Yang to take over once again.
"This is pathetic, even for you, Yellow! I thought you loved an upfront fight!" Longshot taunted in hopes of drawing Yang out. But much to his disappointment, she wasn't coming out. "Fine!" Reaching into his belt, Longshot pulled out what looked to be a small square. However, when he pressed the blue button on top of it, the square suddenly sprouted eight mechanical spider-like legs. "Go get her, boy!" With that, Longshot threw the spider-like drone on the ground, causing it to run towards Yang's last position like an actual spider.
*Boom*
As soon as the spider drone went to the alleyway, it exploded, a sizable cloud of smoke coming out of it. Satisfied, Longshot began to make his way towards where the explosion erupted, though he kept his arms out in case.
"There you-what?" But as soon as he reached the alleyway… there was nothing there, aside from the explosion point.
*Clap*
Longshot then heard a clap from above. Then, a large stone wall rose from the ground, sealing him in a small space.
"What the?!"
"Surprise." A box struck the ground next to Longshot, with several sticks of dynamite rolling out of it.
"Tick tick, boom." A lone laser shot struck one of the dynamite sticks…
*Boom*
Once again, an explosion erupted in the alleyway, though this time, Longshot was the one caught in it.
"Stupid… little… bugs!" Longshot shouted as his armor was covered in soot, though other than that, he was fine. He looked up just in time to get a gauntlet to the face, courtesy of Yang Xiao Long.
"Look out below!" Yang jokingly shouted as she landed in front of Longshot before delivering a strong uppercut to his jaw, sending him crashing into the wall. She didn't stop her assault as she rushed him and started striking him like a boxer. After the sixth punch, Longshot was able to recover enough to catch Yang's fist, throwing her against the wall.
"My turn!" Clenching his fists, Longshot began punching Yang right back, forcing him to block them with her arms. However, just as he was about to continue, a metal bat struck him from behind, though it was little more than an inconvenience.
"Spike, now!" Alphonse called out as he ducked under Longshot's arm swing at the last minute. Spike jumped off the roof and fired several laser shots at the general, causing him to stagger back. Alphonse took this chance to use his Alchemy to create a large mace before he swung it hard against Longshot's leg, making him slightly grunt. Yang moved in to strike Longshot with another strong punch, only for the hunter to block it with his hands before he tossed her to the middle of the street.
"Try running from these!" Longshot took out two more of his spider drones before tossing them to the ground, allowing them to spread their legs. Detecting the enemies, the drones began to beep before they started crawling to Spike and Alphonse.
"How many weapons does he have?!" Alphonse shouted as he slammed his mace down in order to hit the drone. However, it moved to the left to dodge before it started climbing up the mace, lunging towards Alphonse, latching onto his arm.
"Stupid little!" Spike swung his leg around as the other spider drone latched on, refusing to let go. Noticing the blinking light flashing faster, Spike realized what it meant. "Shit! It's a bomb!"
"Shut them off!" Yang ordered Longshot as she jabbed at him, though this time, he was able to block each punch with his gauntlets.
"Make me!" Longshot taunted her before the sound of motorcycles in the distance rang in their ears. "Looks like my backup's here."
"Spike! Yang!" Neo called out from their morphers.
"Little… busy… right now!" Spike slammed the spider drone with his blaster, causing it to slightly loosen its grip before he kicked it to the side.
"Yusei's group got ambushed! Kaicilious caught them and they need help!" Neo revealed to them, making Alphonse widen his eyes.
"WHAT?!" He shouted, forgetting about the spider drone for a moment. Spike took this chance to pry the drone off the youngest of the Elrics before he tossed it in the air, blasting it as it fell on the ground with a fresh blaster mark.
"Natsu and Mustang are heading there now, but they might need some help." Neo continued with a concerned tone.
"Spike! You and Al go after them!" Yang ordered the two, dodging a close up gauntlet shot from Longshot. "I can handle tall, fat and ugly here!"
"I'M NOT FAT DAMNIT!" Now more irritated than ever, Longshot fired a shot into Yang's left leg, making her yelp in pain before he slammed a palm in her stomach, pushing her back.
"Yang!" Alphonse was about to run over and help when Spike held him back. "What are you doing?"
"Trust me, kid. She's mad. And when that happens, it's better to be as far away as possible." Spike told him with an amused tone, much to Alphonse's confusion.
"That…HURT." A yellow aura surrounded Yang as she stood up, her eyes glaring at Longshot through her helmet. Without a moment to spare, Yang raised her morpher and typed in a certain code. "Armor of Johton!" Like with Ichigo, Yang's body began to glow before she donned her new armor. Slamming her Ape Gauntlets together with enough force to make a shockwave, Yang got in a fighting stance, her red eyes glowing within her helmet. "BRING IT!"
"New armor? Let's go!" With that, both Yang and Longshot clashed fists, causing the very ground under them to crack.
"See what I mean? She's mad." Spike repeated to Alphonse before he saw the Riders coming towards them. "I found us a ride."
"Okay… but how do you plan on-" Alphonse didn't get to finish as Spike ran to the middle of the street.
"Over here, tinheads! You want me, come and get me!" Spike shouted as he fired a laser at one of the Riders, hitting it in the chest as it crashed. However, the other Riders paid no heed as they continued to drive towards the Ranger, firing their arm cannons. "Come on!"
"O-Okay!" Not really sure what Spike was planning, Alphonse decided to run with him, dodging laser fire.
"On three, duck." Spike ordered him as he glanced back, noticing the front Rider coming closer. "One… Two…" The Rider used its other arm to raise its sword, ready to decapitate Spike or Alphonse. "THREE!" Just as it was about to slash them both Spike and Alphonse ducked under its blade before grabbing onto the sides of the modified duel runner, hoping on. The Crekor noticed them on its vehicle and prepared to strike back. "Mind if I take this?" Spike then put his Wolf Blaster on its head before firing, leaving a smoking hole in its temple. The Green Ranger threw the Crekor off the vehicle before he quickly took over, with Alphonse sitting behind him.
"How did you know that would work?!" Alphonse questioned as he held on tight.
"I didn't! Just shoot back at them!" Spike told him as he handed him his blaster. Alphonse reluctantly took the weapon as he tried firing at the rest of the Riders, leaving Yang and Longshot to continue their grudge match.
'With Rias'
The crimson haired beauty quickly flew back as Kyra once again tried to strike her with her energy whip, only to hit nothing but air. Pulling on her bow, Rias fired five crimson arrows, only for Kyra to backflip in order to dodge.
"What's wrong, pink? You don't like fighting on the ground?!" Kyra shouted as she aimed a fist at Rias. "Then again, it's fitting for someone with such ugly wings."
'Ignore her, Rias. Just stick to the plan.' Rias thought to herself as she continued to fly back, making Kyra snarl in annoyance before she started following her once again, dodging additional fire from the Crekors escorting the assassin. Like they had planned, Rias would divert some of the Crekors away from the hostages while Hawkeye dealt with the rest of them.
"Kyra, have you destroyed the Pink Ranger yet?" Static questioned from Kyra's communicator.
"Not yet. She's still flying away like a coward. And where's Kaicilious? He should've been here by now." Kyra complained as she dodged yet another crimson arrow, though it hit an unfortunate Crekor who was nearby.
"I was informed he went towards what the humans call 'Central', where the Blue Ranger and the Gold Crystal Holder were last seen." Static explained before he let out a grunt. "For now, you are responsible for capturing the Pink Ranger."
"What about you and your sniper?" Kyra asked curiously.
"I will handle them. Static, out." Static said through his communicator before he turned it off, grabbing an officer who was about to slash him with a Crekor's sword. The man looked in horror as Static looked at him. "Fool." With that, he unleashed a burst of electricity, causing the man to scream before his body was charred, allowing the head scientist to drop him. For some reason, the hostages believed the sniper shot was their opening to rebel back, yet despite their numbers, Static and the Crekors were overwhelming them.
"Hold it down!" One of the humans shouted as he and two other officers held down a Crekor, only for it to slowly stand back up.
"What are these things?!" An officer questioned before the Crekor pressed its arm cannon in the man's chest, firing a shot before letting him fall to the ground.
However, its moment of victory was cut short when another shot came from the sniper, hitting the Crekor clean in the face.
"Trajectory, analyzed." Static concluded, having scanned where the shot came from. He motioned the Crekors to move towards a nearby clock tower. "Foolish humans. They think they can defeat us all."
The Crekors soon reached the top of the two, ready to attack whoever it was that was shooting their commanding officer. Beeping to another, the lead Crekor slammed its foot into the wooden door, shattering it as the rest of the robots opened fire on whoever was inside. After several blasts, the Crekors stopped and went in to investigate…
Only to find the room to be completely empty, save for an old rifle that was perched outside an open window.
The lead Crekor beeped into its communicator.
"What do you mean there isn't anyone? My calculations were perfect. Investigate at once." Static ordered the Crekors slowly entered the room… unaware of a rope that was tied to the bottom of the door.
*BOOM*
Static and the remaining Crekors all jumped when the clock tower suddenly exploded, debris flying everywhere.
"What the hell?!" Kyra stopped her fight with Rias as she looked over to see smoke rise from the now destroyed clock tower.
"Hawkeye, are you there? Is everything alright?" Rias questioned through her Morpher.
"I'm fine. Just set a little trap for the Crekors. Now starting phase two." Hawkeye answered, repelling down from the back of the tower before landing on the lower roof, detaching herself while equipping her borrowed rifle. Getting behind the remainder of the clock tower wall, Riza peeked over to see the Crekors once again setting the hostages back on their knees. Looking through the scope of her rifle, Hawkeye took a calm breath before she aimed at a Crekor looking over a young mother, who was holding her crying child.
*Bang*
The Crekor in question soon got hit in the head by a blaster bolt, causing it to topple over. "The sniper again? Return fire." Static ordered his remaining Crekors as they looked towards where the shot came from. Hawkeye was unfazed by this as she continued to pick off the Crekors one by one.
"Kaicilious is attacking Yusei?!" Rias questioned, having heard from Neo what had transpired.
"Yes, but Natsu, Mustang, Spike and Alphonse are heading to assist them. You and Miss Hawkeye focus on your mission. Hopefully, we can send reinforcements." Neo told her, though even the A.I seemed to be concerned by all this.
As worried as Rias was about the Head Signer, she knew the battle in front of her was more important. Deciding to go on the offensive like Riza, Rias flew towards Kyra as fast as she could, firing arrows towards her enemy.
"Finally!" Kyra exclaimed, glad to see Rias was actually going to attack her directly. Dodging the arrows(and unintentionally allowing the last of her Crekors to fall), Kyra waited for Rias to swoop towards her before jumping, throwing a knife towards the Pink Ranger as it struck her back, though luckily, it didn't pierce her skin. Even so, Rias was forced to retract her wings as she rolled on the ground hard, eventually using her feet and free hand to come to a stop. Kyra charged Rias, who fired arrow after arrow before being forced to block her whips with the Tiger Bow. However, this is what Kyra expected as she tugged her whip, causing the bow to fly right out of Rias' hands. Kyra jumped forward, spinning her body while delivering several kicks, forcing Rias to make small magic circles to block each one.
'Remember your training with the others.' Rias thought to herself before she deactivated one of her circles, grabbing one of Kyra's legs before throwing her over her shoulder. Kyra, being the close range fighter she was, slammed her hands on the ground before she wrapped her legs around Rias' head, dragging her down to the floor. Though a bit disorientated from the sudden motion, Rias was able to get back up to her knees just in time to block a quick throat chop from the assassin. She used her other hand to block another attack, only for Kyra to flip over Rias before striking her with a swift kick.
"I haven't noticed before, but your hand to hand combat skills need work." Kyra rudely stated as she took out a knife, running a finger along the blade. "I'd rather fight against the Yellow or Black Rangers. Or… maybe I'll have fun with the RED Ranger."
Hearing her speak about her friends in a threatening manner, especially Natsu, caused anger to grow in Rias as she stood up, holding her Morpher up. "Armor of Johton." Like with Ichigo and Yang, Rias' body began to glow before she donned her new armor. Pulling her leg back while raising her left hand forward, she said five words that she never uttered.
"Come at me, you bitch."
'With Yusei's group'
"So… are you willing to give me your Crystal now?"
*Smack*
"... Never…"
"Hmmm… how about NOW?"
*SMACK*
"N… No…"
Kaicilious let out an annoyed sigh as he once again backhanded Yusei in the face, causing him to spit out a loogy full of blood. He was trying to see how much punishment it would take for Yusei to finally relent and willfully surrender the Dimension Crystal(the Ravengers tried opening his Morpher, yet for some reason, it remained shut).
"I'm being VERY patient with you, Blue Ranger." Kaicilious told him with a calm tone. "If I wanted to, I could have severed your arm. Maybe take your leg or your foot to break you. But I'm not. Do you know why?"
"Because… Because…" Though he was a strong person, even Yusei was not immune to the punishment Kaiciluous was inflicting on him. His face was red and swollen from the slaps and a trail of bloody saliva ran down his left cheek. "Because you're afraid… of Oblivion… and what he'll do…" At the mention of his friend, Kaicilious glared down at Yusei before grabbing his hair, pulling his head up.
"Do you truly believe I'm afraid of a man who is my equal? You humans are truly pathetic." Kaicilious stated in a matter-of-fact tone. "Still, I suppose you do have a point. The last thing I would want is to make my old friend an enemy. Then again…" He used his free hand to draw out his sword. "He never said you had to speak."
'Dammit. Where the hell's everyone?' Edward thought with gritted teeth as he saw how close Kaicilious was to making Yusei a mute. If it wasn't for these damn Ravengers, he and Armstrong would've pounced Kaicilious right then and there.
Then again… without Alchemy or even his borrowed weapon, there wasn't much Edward could do. He looked at his pocket, where the Gold Dimension Crystal was and considered using it… though the question remained: HOW? He didn't have a Morpher with him and he was still reluctant to actually be a Ranger. It was times like these where he wished he still had his powers.
One of the Ravengers guarding the area heard its head, hearing the sound of a motor vehicle nearby. It used its rifle to get a better view… and found Spike and Alphonse driving one of the customized Duel Runners towards them. The Ravenger took out its communicator and beeped into it…
*Slash*
However, before it could finish, the Ravenger was struck from behind, causing it to stumble forward, though it regained its footing.
"What the? It's still standing?" The attacker was none other than Natsu Dragneel, who lowered his Dragon Claws while looking at the Ravenger. Besides the slash marks on its back, it was still operational, unlike the usual Crekor. Seeing its new enemy, the Ravenger aimed its rifle at Natsu, who quickly ducked down as it began firing. Rising up, Natsu quickly slashed the rifle, cutting it in half. He then moved in to strike the machine, only for it to catch his arm before twisting it, making the Dragon Slayer grunt in pain. "You son of a-!"
The Ravenger grabbed Natsu's neck, slowly choking him. Letting out a small series of gasps, Natsu opened his free hand and aimed it towards the Ravenger's face. "Fire… Dragon… Grip Strike…" With that, he unleashed a torrent of flames from his hand, engulfing the Ravenger whole. However, much to his shock, the Ravenger moved its head closer to Natsu, revealing that the magic flames weren't damaging it in the slightest. "Oh… come… ON!"
*Clap*
A large stone pillar suddenly rose from under the Ravenger, causing it to release its grip on Natsu's throat, allowing him to breathe. "Stop messing around, Dragneel." Roy told Natsu as he helped him stand back up.
"You… try… burning… that… thing!" Natsu responded between breaths, though he did appreciate Mustang's help. The two noticed Spike and Alphonse drive towards them. "Good. Now we have-"
And behind the two… was a small squadron of Riders, each one shooting at them.
"... Backup." Natsu finished with a flat tone.
*Crash*
To make matters worse for them, the Ravenger Roy sent flying up jumped down, ready to fight again. "... Wonderful." Roy bluntly stated, getting in a fighting stance.
"Roy, go with Spike and Al to help Yusei and the others." Natsu told him as he slammed his claws together. "I'm finishing this guy."
Roy raised an eyebrow at Natsu before he smirked. "Alright. But don't go dying on me, soldier."
"Wouldn't dream of it." With a nod of understanding, the two went to do their respective jobs.
"Can't you shoot better?!" Spike shouted to Alphonse, having one of the rearview mirrors shot by the Crekors.
"Can't you drive better?! Besides, I never fired a gun like this!" Alphonse countered as he aimed back and fired, only for one of the Crekors to dodge as they increased in speed.
"Of all people, why'd I have to bring you?" Spike muttered to himself before he slammed the brakes, causing the Duel Runner to turn 180 degrees, taking the Wolf Blaster from Alphonse before he shot three lasers, each one striking the Crekors.
"... Wow." Was all Alphonse said as Spike turned around once again, driving towards the group.
"Hmm?" Kaicilous released Yusei as he heard the sound of an engine in the distance. Looking back, he narrowed his eyes as he saw the Green Ranger and a male who looked like the Gold Crystal holder driving towards him. "Shoot them down."
The Ravengers acknowledged the order and began firing their rifles at Spike and Alphonse, forcing them on the defensive.
"Shit. Shit. SHIT!" Spike grunted as he swerved left and right to dodge, with some blasts hitting the engine of the vehicle. "JUMP!" Seeing no other choice, Spike and Alphonse jumped off the vehicle, which landed on its side before exploding. Rolling on the grass before reaching the concrete, Alphonse clapped his hands together before slamming them on the ground, causing a barrage of long stone fists to launch towards Kaicilious and the others. However, Kaicilious was unfazed as he drew two of his swords, slashing the fists at impressive speed. But as he did this, a large blanket of dust spread throughout the area.
"NOW!" Seeing the Ravengers distracted, Armstrong used his almost superhuman strength to stand up and throw the Ravenger's arms off him. He then tackled one of them before striking at them with several hard punches from his gauntlets.. Edward, seeing his blaster in one of the Ravengers' belts, quickly grabbed it as he began shooting it several times, only for it to not go down.
"Oh crap." Was all Edward said as the Ravenger grabbed his neck and slammed him on the ground, attempting to snap his neck.
"EDWARD!" Yusei found the strength to kick the Ravenger holding him in the leg, making it move down enough to loosen its grip. Grabbing his shield from another Ravenger, Yusei proceeded to bash one of them in the head, each strike leaving a visible dent. However, the other Ravenger grabbed Yusei from behind and threw him off its brother, though Yusei quickly drew his dimension blaster and began firing on them.
"A… little… HELP!" Edward croaked as he tried pushing the Ravenger away, only for it to continue choking him.
"Brother!" Alphonse rushed in, seeing his brother being choked as he clapped his hands, dragging them on the ground before a large mace came out. With all his might, Alphonse swung the mace up before bringing it down to the Ravenger, only for it to catch it with its free hand. Looking back at Alphonse, the Ravenger slowly squeezed the mace, bending it until it was pointed at him. Releasing his weapon, Alphonse jumped back and prepared to clap his hands again, only for a stray laser shot to hit his shoulder, making him howl in pain.
"Al… no…" Was all Edward muttered as he saw his brother fall to his back. He looked to the left and saw Armstrong continuing to punch his Ravenger opponent, only for one to come from behind and pull him away, keeping him down. Yusei was still firing on the other Ravengers, only for them to knock away his weapon before the Signer was forced to go on the defensive.
His vision getting blurrier, all Edward could do was wheeze as he slowly closed his eyes, his consciousness slipping…
*Snap*
However, before he could fully faint, a burst of flames hit Edward's Ravenger, causing it to fly to the side. "...ric… Elri… ELRIC!" Running to Edward's field of vision while shaking his body was Roy Mustang, who had an annoyed expression on his face. "Don't tell me after all you've been through, THIS is what does you in." He told the blonde male, who coughed a bit while breathing in some air.
"Man… can't believe I'm saying this… but it's good to see you, Mustang." Edward confessed, making the older man smirk a bit.
"Well don't fall asleep yet. We've got a battle to win." Mustang informed him as he helped Edward stand up, only to dodge another laser, courtesy of the Ravenger he blasted away. "Is there ANYTHING that can stop these things?!"
"Yeah. ME!" Spike suddenly ran past the two before he kicked the Ravenger, though it merely stumbled back. Taking the chance, Spike ran towards it before jumping on top, aiming his Wolf Blaster on its neck, rapidly pressing the trigger. "How. Does. This. Taste. You. Piece. Of. Scrap. METAL!" Each shot made the Ravenger tumble as it attempted to take the man off its body, yet with every shot, its inner mechanisms were being damaged. Soon, The Ravenger let out some sparks from its neck before it fell on its knees, allowing Spike to jump off it as it collapsed. "That was a pain in the ass."
As the battle went on, Kaicilious observed how the Rangers and their allies would handle his Ravengers and needless to say… he was mildly impressed. He looked over to Yusei, who somehow was able to keep a Ravenger on the ground before he slammed his shield into its neck for the uptenth time, causing its head to roll off. Even the muscular human seemed to recover as he slammed his fist into one of the Ravenger's rifles, causing the barrel to transform into a small metal version of the man… for some odd reason.
"Curious. These humans are more resourceful than I anticipated." Kaicilious mused to himself with his arms crossed. "Now… let's see if they can handle this." Taking out his communicator, Kaicilious called the Apocalypse. "Fire the Ragna Cannon on three of my Ravengers. Make them grow."
Above the planet, the Crekors in the bridge of the Apocalypse all beeped in agreement before they powered up the Ragna Cannon, aiming it at the nearest Crekor before firing.
"RRRRAAAAAAHHHHHH!" With a scream, Natsu rammed one of his claws into the Ravenger's head, finally piercing through its thick metal coating. All the machine could do was beep before it turned off, allowing Natsu to pull his weapon back from it. "Good. About time I got rid of it."
However, his ears picked up a strange sound as he looked up, only to widen his eyes as the Ragna Canon beam flew towards Yusei's group. "LOOK OUT!"
The beams then struck one of the Ravengers, causing everyone to look at it. "Did they just fire on one of their own?!" Mustang questioned with a shocked expression, not seeing the point of blasting an ally.
"GET BACK!" Spike shouted at everyone, knowing what the Ragna Canon was capable of. Much to the shock of the residents of Amestris, the Ravenger began to grow large, easily surpassing the size of their buildings.
"HOLY SHIT!" Edward shouted, unintentionally cursing as he and Mustang stepped back, gawking at the size of the Ravenger.
"He can even grow foot soldiers? What's the limit?!" Yusei questioned as he glared at Kaicilious, who mockingly waved his hands in a 'come at me' motion.
"If you want this to stop, Blue Ranger, then submit to me. Otherwise…" Another beam struck a Ravenger, causing it to grow alongside its brother. Then a third beam came down, making the third and final Ravenger grow. "There won't be anything left." With a snap of his fingers, the Ravengers swung their legs towards the heroes, causing them to roll out of the way as their feet slammed into Central, demolishing a large portion of it. Seeing no other option, Yusei then rushed Kaicilious, with Armstrong following suit.
"Kaldon, we need the Zords, now!" Natsu shouted as he began to run towards the Ravengers.
"But without the others, you won't be able to control the Megazord, Ni-Ni." Kaldon responded sadly, making the Dragon Slayer growl in frustration.
"Natsu, there is a way." This time, it was Vektor who spoke. "For now, I will allow you to use Master Control."
"Master what?" Natsu asked as he stopped running for a moment.
"It allows one person to control the Dimension Titan Megazord, though it would also drain more of your energy. The choice is yours, but I suggest making it now." Vektor grimmly responded.
Natsu didn't even hesitate as he typed in the numbers 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
"Dimension Zords, activate!" Five portals appeared in the city before the Dragon, Tiger, Phoenix, Ape and Lion zords began to run through them. Taking a big leap, Natsu entered the Dragon Zord's cockpit. "Alright guys, I'm in control for now. Let's finish this and help out the others!" Natsu told the other Zords, each one making a noise as if to agree with him.
"Okay, I can handle aliens and magic and robots…" Mustang listed off before he pointed to the Zords. "BUT I DRAW THE LINE AT MACHINE ANIMALS!"
"Trust me. Pinky's got the right idea." Spike told him as the two rushed to Edward's side.
"You okay, Al?" Edward asked his brother in concern, seeing Al's shoulder turn dark red from his blood.
"I'll be fine." Alphonse grunted as he sat back up, only to look at the Zords and large Ravengers, making him widen his eyes. "What's going on?!"
"Zords, combined!" The Dragon Zord flew in the air before it folded its limbs into its body. The Ape Zord pounded its chest before it was split in the middle, forming large yellow arms. Next, the Tiger and Lion Zords roared before they folded their legs and tilted their bodies, making makeshift legs. Both the arms and legs soon attached to the Dragon Zord, with the Phoenix Zord folding its body into a chest piece before attaching to the main Zord. The Dragon Zord let out another mighty roar before its jaw opened up to its neck, revealing a metallic face. Natsu emerged into the main control center of the Megazord, though the other four spots were empty.
"Dimension Titan Megazord, ready!"
"... ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" Edward shouted with bugged out eyes. "WHY DIDN'T YOU GUYS USE THAT BEFORE?!"
His answer came when the Dimension Titan Megazord stepped forward… unintentionally destroying one of the statues in Central.
"... You're paying for that, Dragneel!" Mustang shouted before Spike pulled him away while Edward carried his brother out of harm's way.
"Bring it on, jerks!" The Megazord charged towards the nearest Ravenger, thrusting a strong fist forward, though the Ravenger caught it. However, the Megazord quickly threw a wide kick, striking the Ravenger and freeing itself from the grip hold. But this was all the distraction the other Ravengers needed as they quickly grabbed the Megazord's arms. "Let go, dammit!" Recovering from its earlier thrashing, the third Ravenger began punching the Megazord in the chest, dealing hard blow after hard blow. "Vektor was right. It's hard to control a Megazord without everyone else!"
"Spike!" Yusei called out as he blocked one of Kaicilious' sword slashes, though the strength behind it began to weigh him down. "Go help Natsu! We'll hold off Kaicili-AHHHH!" Kaicilious took the chance to kick Yusei in the chest, sending him crashing into the ground.
"YOU WILL NOT HARM MY ALLIES!" Armstrong shouted as he threw a hard right punch, only for Kaicilious to block it with his sword, causing lightning to shoot out of it. But even with that, the blade remained the same, much to Armstrong's shock. "How?"
"This blade was forged by a metal none of your humans have ever seen. And I'll use it to KILL YOU!" Shoving the man's fist back, Kaicilious then sent Vampa forward, stabbing the muscular man through his right side.
"ARMSTRONG!" Mustang shouted as Armstrong coughed out blood, the pain of being stabbed coursing through his body. To add salt to the wound, Kaicilious used Vampa to lift Armstrong in the air before he tossed him aside like a piece of trash. "BASTARD!" Furious, Mustang began snapping his fingers even more, sending burst after burst of flames onto Kaicilious. Spike saw this and then turned back to the Elric brothers, with Edward helping Alphonse get to some cover.
"Keep him safe, short stuff. I'll be back." Spike told him, making Edward twitch a bit.
"I'm not-forget it. Just go!" Edward practically shouted as Spike ran to an open area.
"Kaldon, I need the Zords!" Spike shouted at his Morpher.
"Got it, Ni-Ni! Get ready for some extra muscle, Ni-Ni!" Kaldon told him as he put in his own code.
Both Yusei and Rias' Morphers began to glow briefly, indicating that their Auxiliary Zords were being summoned by Spike.
Soon enough, another set of portals appeared in Amestris, with the Wolf, Vulture, Frog and Bat Zords coming out of it. Spike leapt in the air and landed inside the Wolf Zord. "Alright, combined!"
The Vulture Zord, like the Dragon Zord, folded its limbs into its body as the other three Zords formed the limbs, merging into the main body. A head popped out of the Vulture Zord, with a red visor covering its face. "Gunslinger Megazord!"
Pressing its legs on the ground, the Gunslinger Megazord hopped high in the air, performing a series of rolls as it fell towards the Ravengers. It soons kicked the left Ravenger with enough force to make it fall on the ground.
"Thanks, Spike!" Seeing the other arm was free, Natsu commanded the Megazord to struck the Ravenger hold its other arm. The third Ravenger attempted to strike the Megazord once again, only for the Gunslinger Megazord to come in and block the attack with the Bat Zord wings. Then, the Gunslinger Megazord fired several close range shots from its arm, making the Ravenger stumble back. Both Megazords were back to back, with the three Ravengers recovering from the attacks. "About time you got here."
"Ha. Funny, Pinky. You try fighting that Kaicilious asshole." Spike responded through the Morpher before the Gunslinger Megazord got in a fighting stance. Grinning under his mask, Natsu summoned the Dimension Titan Sword, aiming it at another of the Ravengers both it and the Gunslinger Megazord continued their battle.
"Are you DONE?" Kaicilious slashed his sword again as he marched towards Mustang, who continued to snap his fingers. Annoyed, Kaicilious launched Vampa forward, causing it to pierce his right hand.
"DAMMIT!" Mustang let out a painful grunt as Vampa pulled out of his hand, making him hold it. He attempted to snap the fingers in his other hand, only for the sword to cut his palm, leaving him unable to continue.
"As interesting as your power is… you are unneeded." Kaicilious came face to face with Mustang before he kicked him hard in the stomach, sending him rolling away. The General noticed a certain head of hair entering what remained of Central, making him smirk.
"I think we're fine here." Edward whispered to his brother as he tore some of the fabric of his shirt, using it to tie up Al's bleeding wound. "Does it still hurt?"
"Not as much. I think I can still fight." Alphonse told him as he prepared to stand up, only for Edward to keep him down.
"You crazy? You saw how strong that guy is. We can't fight him." Edward explained before he stood up, feeling the ground rumble due to the giants fighting outside. "Look… you stay here until Mustang or anyone finds you. I'm gonna try and lead Kaicilious away."
"What?!" Alphonse knew his brother was reckless, but to actually use himself as bait? That was way too much! "He'll kill you!"
"Maybe not. He wants this." Edward took out the Gold Dimension Crystal, looking at it before grabbing Alphonse's hand, placing it in his palm. "Hold onto this. Give this to the Power Rangers."
"But this is yours. It chose you." Alphonse countered.
"It's not fate, alright? It was… just a mistake." Edward grudgingly admitted. "What's so special about me? I don't have Alchemy and I have a prosthetic leg. You'd be a better choice than me. Maybe ask them if they can swap people… or something." Alphonse frowned deeply, hearing how little his older brother felt about himself.
Just as he was about to retort…
"Elricccccccc… Elricccccccc…" Both brothers froze up when they heard a familiar voice in the hallways, along with the sound of metal dragging on the floor. "That's your name, isn't it? The man with the flames mentioned it. You must care about your friends, correct?" Kaicilious asked rhetorically. "Why not join me? I promise to treat you better. After all, my forces outnumber the Rangers a hundred to one. Besides, we can leave this planet and everyone would be safe." Opening one of the office doors, Kaicilious peeked in and found nobody. "If you resist, however… I can't guarantee anyone's safety. The powers you all have are unique… perhaps Static would have fun experimenting on them."
Hearing his taunts made Edward grit his teeth while he clenched his fist.
"If not… perhaps your brother would be more than willing to join us. After all, he seems far more useful than-"
"PHOENIX BLITZ!" Kaicilious quickly turned around just in time to block a bird-shaped flame from hitting him. Running down the hallway was none other than Yusei Fudo, who took out his dimension blaster and began firing on Kaicilious. "Edward! Alphonse! If you're here, run!"
"How dare you!" Kaicilious clenched his left fist before slamming it on the ground, causing a shockwave to launch towards Yusei. The Head Signer quickly ran up the wall to dodge before thrusting his Phoenix Shield forward, only for Kaicilious to block it with his sword.
"Come on!" Finding an opening, Edward helped Alphonse out of their hiding spot as they ran down the other end of the hallway.
"Annoying!" Kaicilious kicked Yusei's leg, making him grunt as he lowered his body, allowing Kaicilious to slash his chest. "Irritating!" Marching up to the fallen Ranger, Kaicilious grabbed Yusei's uniform before tossing him to the wall, cracking it. "Insect!" He then kicked Yusei through the wall, dust and rubble scattering in the office. Yusei tried to stand back up, only for Kaiciluous to slash him once again, making him crash into a nearby table. Once again, Kaicilious marched over and grabbed Yusei, throwing him into the hallway.
"We have to help him!" Alphonse told his brother as he attempted to help Yusei, only for Edward to pull him back.
"He's giving us a chance. We need to go." As much as Edward hated to run, even he knew this wasn't the best time for heroics.
"And you aren't going anywhere!" Seeing the Elric brothers, Kaicilious sent Vampa towards Edward with the intent to kill. Looking over his shoulder to see the sword, Alphonse did the only thing he could.
Save his older brother.
So with all his strength… Alphonse pushed his brother away…
*Slash*
"AAAAAHHHHHH!" A pain-filled scream echoed through the hallway as Edward crashed on the floor, the push his brother gave him still leaving him in shock. Edward turned his head… only to widen his eyes at the sight before him.
"AL!" Lying on the floor with a gash on his back was Alphonse, blood leaking out as Kaicilious pulled his sword back.
"Damn. I hit the useful one." Kaicilious muttered to himself. "Oh well. I suppose I'll-"
"I WON'T LET YOU!" Yusei suddenly came from behind and grabbed Kaicilious, tightly wrapping his arms around the general's stomach to keep him in place.
"Al! Al! Say something!" Edward desperately said as he shook his brother.
"B-B-B-B-Brother…" Alphonse responded with a panicked stutter. "M-M-M-M-My back…"
"What about it?" Edward asked, looking at the wound.
"I-I-I-I-I can't… I c-c-c-can't feel m-m-m-m-my legs…"
Hearing this, Edward gasped in horror. Of all the things today: surviving a grenade blast, getting choked by a Ravenger, but hearing that his brother couldn't feel his legs? That was too far!
"ENOUGH OF THIS!" Kaicilious managed to get Yusei off his waist before he brought his sword up, slashing his helmet and making the Blue Ranger flip on his back. "Now boy… give. Me. The. Crystal."
"Edward…" Yusei groaned as he turned his body to look at the brothers, his helmet broken to show his left eye. "Take your brother… run…"
Run… run… that was all Edward had been hearing since the attack. That's all anyone wanted him to do and even he thought about it.
Yet what has running ever done for him? Mustang, Armstrong, Vektor, Yusei, and now his own brother were hurt because he kept trying to run away due to the Gold Crystal, yet he couldn't blame it.
It was all his fault for touching it and bringing Kaicilious to Amestris.
"No…" Edward gently put his brother done, his hair covering his eyes. "No more running… no more people getting hurt because of me…" He clenched his fist in anger as he gritted his teeth. "I'M DONE WITH IT!" Kaicilious looked at Edward with mild curiosity while Yusei widened his eyes. Edward lifted his head, showing an extremely angry face. "I WON'T LET YOU KILL ANYONE ANYMORE, KAICILIOUS!"
"Then by all means…" Kaicilious aimed his sword at Edward. "Stop me."
Without a second thought, Edward charged the general while letting out a battlecry. He ignored Yusei's pleas to stop and even his brother begging him to run.
No, he was going to stop Kaicilious' reign right here and now.
But as he ran through the hallway… the Dimension Crystal Alphonse had begun to glow.
Kaicilious launched his sword towards Edward, though the older of the Elric brothers narrowly dodged it(though he did get cut in the shoulder).
Edward pulled his fist back… unaware that the crystal flew through Alphonse's pants and towards the fist, entering it as it began to glow. Noticing this, Kaicilious pulled his sword back and brought it up to black it.
It was then that Edward's fist struck the sword.
*BOOM*
However, what Kaicilious didn't expect was for the punch to actually have some power behind it, causing him to fly back.
"Huh?" Edward opened his eyes, only to see Kaicilious land on his back harshly. Looking down at his fist, Edward gasped as he saw something glowing in it. Opening his palm, he found the Dimension Crystal in his hand. "How the hell?" Looking at his left hand, he found a Morpher attached to his wrist.
"A Morpher?" Yusei said out loud as he stood up, holding his ribs.
"This is… mine?" Edward muttered as he stared at the new Morpher. This one had an all gold color scheme, which matched the Dimension Crystal Edward had. Thinking back to his last attack, Edward did recall feeling something enter his hand before the impact, which must have been the crystal itself.
"How… DARE YOU!" Kaicilious stood up, glaring heatedly at the two. "No one sends Kaicilious flying like that!"
"Edward… it's time to morph." Yusei told him in a serious tone.
"Morph?" Edward did recall how the Rangers morphed into their Ranger forms back on the Legacy and for some odd reason, he knew just how to do it. Looking at the crystal and Morpher, Edward actually smirked as he looked at Kaicilious. "It's Morphin Time! Dimension Crystal, ready!" He held the crystal out before opening the Morpher, inserting the stone inside. "Code 1!" He pressed the number 1 button. "Unleashing the Dimensions!" With that, he thrusted his fist in the air, causing an orb of gold energy in the shape of a helmet to fly out of it as it surrounded Edward, causing his own body to glow. Soon the helmet opened up, chomping on Edward as the light died out.
Standing next to Yusei was Edward Elric, only he donned his new Ranger uniform. The Ranger uniform consisted of a gold spandex suit with long gold gloves with three whites rings on each one, a black belt with a buckle that had the Alchemy circle on it, gold boots, A large white V on the chest, and a helmet that resembled a knight.
Edward slammed a fist over his heart. "Heart of a warrior!" He put his right foot forward while pulling his left hand back and his right hand out, his pinky and ring finger closed while his other three fingers were out. "Gold Dimension Ranger!"
"ANOTHER Ranger?" Kaicilious questioned with an annoyed tone. He wanted to end this before Edward had the chance to morph, but it seems that was futile.
"Woah… why did I pose?" Edward asked while looking at his hands. For some reason, he just FELT like posing after he morphed.
"It's something the crystal puts in your head. Don't think about it too much." Yusei answered him. "But how do you feel?"
"Honestly… I feel stronger." Edward clenched his hand a few times. "I don't know how, but morphing like this feels… right. Well… besides how tight the suit is." Yusei couldn't help but chuckle a bit from that since he was right. "But right now…" He looked at Kaicilious with a glare under his helmet. "We're ending this."
"Funny. I was about to say the same thing." Kaicilious got over his initial shock and aimed his sword at Edward. "Come at me, Gold Ranger!"
Without saying another word, Edward rushed Kaicilious, throwing a flurry of punches and kicks that actually forced the general to go on the defensive. Catching Kaicilious' sword, Edward twisted his body, wrapping his legs around the general's neck before throwing him to the ground. Kaicilious wasn't affected as he thrusted his sword at Edward, who quickly dodged each attack before he rolled back.
"Yusei, watch Al!" Edward basically ordered the Blue Ranger before he began to run out of the building.
"Get back here!" Angered by the new Ranger's act of cowardice, Kaicilious began to run after him.
"Come on, Al. I got you." Yusei quickly ran up to Alphonse and put him on his shoulders.
"Thank you… Yusei…" Was all the younger Elric could say as the two began to exit the building.
'Outside the building'
Edward rolled out of Central to dodge another energy blast from Kaicilious, landing on his feet while getting back in a battle stance. Reaching the exit, Kaicilious jumped down and brought his sword down, making Edward backflip to dodge.
"Dimension Gauntlet!" Edward's right arm began to glow before a new piece of equipment was put on him. Attached to his right arm was a golden gauntlet that resembled his old automail arm, though it had three buttons on it. "Nice. Let's try… this one." Edward pressed the button on the left, causing a blaster barrel to come out his gauntlet. With a grin, Edward aimed it at Kaicilious, firing several gold energy blasts.
"Are you mocking me?!" Kaicilious began blocking the shots from Edward with his sword, though some were able to get through and hit him. Annoyed, Kaicilious used his left hand and slammed in on the stairs, causing another wave of earth to shoot towards Edward. Using his newfound power, Edward leapt in the air, firing even more lasers that pelted Kaicilious. "Fine. You asked for this." Deciding to draw his other sword, Kaicilious rushed Edward as he landed on the ground. Thanks to his new gauntlet, Edward was able to block each slash, yet despite that, he was still hit thanks to Kaicilious' years of experience.
"Let's try this one!" Catching both swords with his gauntlet, Edward pressed the middle button, causing a blade to come out his arm, much like how he used to summon one with his alchemy. Dragging his gauntlet up the swords, Edward was able to slash Kaicilious in the chest, making him grunt in pain as he stepped back. "Just like old times." With a satisfied smile, Edward rushed Kaiciluous, slashing his new blades towards the general.
As they fought, The Dimension Titan and Gunslinger Megazords pushed the three giant Ravengers together, each one damaged from their battle.
"Spike, ready to end this?" Natsu asked his fellow Ranger rhetorically.
"Like you need to ask Pinky." Spike answered with a smirk as the Bat arm extended its wings while the Wolf arm attached to it, forming a makeshift crossbow. The Dimension Titan Megazord soon began to move its arms in a circular motion with its sword, charging energy.
"Dimension Victory Slash/Final Shot Fire!" The Dimension Titan Megazord brought its sword down on the Ravengers while the Gunslinger Megazord fired a beam of green and purple energy. The three Ravengers could do nothing as the attacks hit their mark, causing them to explode.
"Grrr…" Kaicilious backed up from Edward, annoyed by the turn of events. Looking back, he caught a glimpse of his three giant Ravengers being reduced to nothing thanks to the Megazords. 'This is not what I had planned!'
"Hey Kaicilious!" Edward called out with a serious tone. "This is for everyone." Pressing the last button on his gauntlet, Edward's fist began to glow as he brought it back. "Warrior Final Impact!" With that final word, Edward punched the ground with all his might, causing a wave of golden energy to shoot towards Kaicilious began to he was engulfed in an explosion, allowing the Elric to turn his back while holding his arm. "It's over."
"Brother… you did it!" Alphonse called out as Yusei helped him out the building, a genuine smile on his face,
"Good job, Ed." Yusei congratulated the new Ranger with a small smile. Edward smiled under his helmet as he began to walk towards his brother and fellow Ranger. Finally, the fight was-
"ELRIC!" The ground suddenly began to shake as the three looked at where Kaicilious 'exploded', their eyes widened as several energy slashes were launched towards them.
"GET BACK!" Edward quickly used his gauntlet to block the slashes, but even he could hold them all back as he was knocked off his feet. Jumping out of the smoke was Kaicilious, whose helmet was cracked, revealing his furious eyes. "I WON'T LET YOU WIN WITHOUT A CONSEQUENCE!" Looking at Yusei and Alphonse, a dangerous look replaced Kaicilious as he leapt towards them.
"NO!" Yusei tried to run back, but he was too late as Kaicilious landed behind him, kicking him hard in the back as Alphonse fell off his shoulders. The Blue Ranger turned back to punch Kaicilious, only to get slashed in the chest.
"You are coming with ME." Kaicilious told Alphonse as he grabbed the young teen by the neck, lifting him in the air.
*Clap*
In a last ditch effort, Alphonse clapped his hands together and put them on Kaicilious' arm, hoping it would do something. However, much to his horror… it didn't. "We're leaving." Throwing the crippled boy over his shoulder, Kaicilious turned on his communicator. "All forces, we're retreating to the Apocalypse. This planet no longer interests me."
"And the Gold Dimension Crystal, master?" Demolition asked, making Kaicilious turn to a standing Edward.
"... It will come to us soon." Was all he said before he turned off his communicator. "Say goodbye to your brother, Elric. He will be in GOOD hands, I assure you."
"GIVE HIM BACK, YOU BASTARD!" Enraged, Edward began to run towards Kaicilious as fast as he could. The general smirked cruelly as his and Alphonse's bodies began to glow. "AAAAAAALLLLLLLLL!"
Edward reached a hand out, inch by inch closer to his younger brother, who also reached out to him.
"Brother…"
A sad smile grew on Alphonse's face as his body continued to glow. Though he was able to say a few last words.
"... Fight on."
Just as Edward was about to reach Alphonse… he and Kaicilious disappeared. The Gold Ranger fell on the ground, unable to stop himself from catching his brother.
"Yusei! Ed!" Natsu and Spike ran towards the fallen Blue Ranger, with the latter helping a wounded Roy Mustang carry an even more injured Armstrong. Natsu quickly went over and helped Yusei up. "You okay?"
Yusei said nothing as he looked over to Edward, who was on his hands and knees.
"Is that… Elric?" Mustang questioned with a surprised expression, not expecting to see Edward in such a strange uniform.
"Hey. Where's Kaicilious? Where'd he go?" Spike asked Edward, though he and the others saw Edward clench his hands.
"Edward? Where's Alphonse?" Armstrong asked, ignoring the pain in his stomach.
"I… he was… I couldn't…" Unintentionally demorphing, Edward allowed several tears to run down his eyes as he gritted his teeth. "I WAS RIGHT THERE!"
Without hesitation, Edward punched the ground, leaving a hole in it as his hand bled. Soon, he let out an extremely angry roar.
He was angry at Kaicilious.
Angry at the lack of help.
But most of all… he was angry at himself for not saving him.
The day was technically won… but at a cost.
Wow… that is such a depressing way to end a chapter, huh? Even more than when Vektor cried over the message Orion left him. But that was my intention for this chapter to show that things were gonna get more serious.
Hope you guys liked this rather long chapter. I wanted to spread out some of the fights, though as you can see, most of the focus was on Edward. I mean this chapter is dedicated to him morphing, so I had to make him the main character. I know some things were rushed, but I wanted to get this chapter out. But hopefully the next chapters will be more even.
Bet you guys can't guess what Edward's Zord will be. It won't be revealed for a while since it is a BIG reveal.
