Chapter 4 – Omen (I)

In the crevice of the rocky mountain, still in the Britannia, Willard covered his eyes and tightened his hold on his staff. He told himself that it was something unavoidable. The Demon Clan's Revival.

It started with the awakening of the Ten Commandments.

Zeldris was awestruck and reached out to the figure who had woken them up "Big Sister Sophia".

The red-haired woman curled her lips into a thin smile. The sole Demon Princess, Sophia smiled fondly and spread her hands which Zeldris and Estarossa gladly accepted.

Zeldris tightened his hold around her waist "I thought we lost you, sister".

"Sup. Estarossa killed those Archangels before they could kill me, remember? Father and Mother saved me afterwards. Sorry, I must have scared you guys a lot, disappearing so suddenly like that", squeezing their shoulders, she told them to move "Let's move first. I will refill you guys before we fill in our energy. Once we have re-filled our energy, that's when we can start our conquer. Britannia is ours to conquer".

Inserting her forefinger and thumb into her mouth, she whistled and the Red Drake appeared in front of them. Caressing her pet, Sophia smiled softly "Long time no see you, Blair".

Derieri tilted her head "Your Highness, who is that Druid?".

"Let him be. Unless he makes a move to stop us, he's harmless", turning her head to her brother, Sophia glanced at him with unreadable eyes "What is your plan?".

"I have no intention but to be the witnesses of this war".

Melascula narrowed her eyes "He's suspicious".

Monspiet asked "Your Highness, is it really fine to let him be?".

Sophia grunted, "Yes. After all, he doesn't have an intention to involve himself in the Holy War. Don't make me say it twice".

The Ten Commandments bowed and dropped one knee behind her "As you wish".

Through telepathy, Sophia told the Wizard Druid, Willard "I will let you live because you helped me. Think of it as my last mercy, brother".

Willard pulled down his hood once they were out of earshot and eyesight, revealing his long straight white hair and the face which resembled so much Sophia, Merlin, and Isolde (only in a masculine way).

"Once more time, the Holy Way which had been stopped will start again. What will you do from now on, my sisters and my long-separated relatives?", Willard mumbled to no one in particular "I hope that whatever path you've chosen, you will be blessed, Children of Chaos".

Right now, they were resting and taking refuge in the ruins of Edinburgh Castle. After they waited for a while, Zeldris realized that his magic power did not come back.

"Do you realize it?", Sophia who rested, using Estarossa's thigh as a pillow and lying on her back, creaked her eyes open with a thin smile "As expected of Zel. Yes, it seems like the waves of the magic on the Earth has changed for these past 3.000 years".

Derieri who had rested her head on Monspiet's lap sat up immediately "What should we do to recover, Your Highness?".

Sophia smiled devilishly "Hunt down the humans and devour their souls. Do what you want".

To hunt down the human's soul, it was decided that Melascula and Galand went first.

Liones Kingdom

Guinevere shuddered full-body after Merlin cast the spell which successfully helped the younger's wings to fold and insert her wings back into her body. Yes, did not know why Guinevere could not insert her wings back into her body temporarily. She had to convince everyone that she was alright when suddenly, there was an urgent call from the Camelot Kingdom.

Guinevere barged outside "Emergency! We have to go back to the Camelot Kingdom, now!".

Camelot Kingdom

Arthur, Tristan, and Lancelot craned their head as they stood on the fort where Albion had appeared.

Lancelot saluted and narrowed his eyes "That thing did not move at all. Is it really a living thing?".

Tristan caressed his chin "If my memory doesn't fail me, this is called Albion. This creature is supposed to exist in the Holy Way only as the Weapon".

Arthur shouted and reflexively raised his sword "Argh! It moves!".

When Albion attacked for the first time, Guinevere appeared and reached out her hands to the front "Warp!".

Using the Galadriel Mirror, Guinevere created a 'Gate' sort of to divert the attack.

Arthur chirped in amazement "Great job, wife!".

Guinevere huffed and asked them all to evacuate "We still can't be relaxed!".

When the second attack started, Meliodas jumped from the flying Boar Hat "Nice move, Gwen!".

Activating his Sacred Treasure Lostvayne, Meliodas and his duplications swung his weapon "Full Counter!".

Fairy King's Forest

Gerharde stuttered "A-Albion! It's the living weapon, a Golem belonged to the Demon Clan! How could it be here?".

Elias shouted and waved his hand "Everyone, evacuate! Move to the safe place!".

While Ban and Elaine helped the Fairies to evacuate, Jericho pulled out her Sacred Weapon. It was time to test her new Sacred Weapon, the Ice Sword Sprite. Embedding the sword on the ground, she froze the surface of the ground successfully planting the Albion's legs on the earth.

Elias flew upwards and reached out his hand, activating his Sacred Weapon "Enkidu!".

After Elias rendered Albion immobile with Enkidu, Fairy King Harlequin attacked Albion and killed it in one blow.

Oberon whistled "I needn't do anything, eh?".

But still, with all seriousness, Albion's appearance meant that the Demon Clan had been revived.

Oberon asked them "So, what will you do now?".

Elias wanted to go back with Oberon to the Enchanted Woods "I'm worried about Lily".

Jericho, Elaine, King, and Ban decided to come with Elias and Oberon before they decided where they would go next.

Enchanted Woods

Oberon chirped "Mother! We're home!".

Lily was lying on the makeshift bed made of hay and feathers. She creaked her eyes open and reached out her hands "Oh. Come here, my sons".

Elias and Oberon hugged her.

Jericho, Ban, Elaine, and King were concerned because of how weak Lily looked right now.

Holding her biceps, Elias asked in concern "Oberon said that you've got a heart attack".

Lily smiled weakly and waved her hand "It's a light attack. Don't worry".

King gulped nervously "Also, does it true that...".

"It seems like our sons have brought some guests. Why don't you introduce them to me?".

They felt the dread crawling on their spine when they heard that voice.

They were shocked when Dahlia suddenly attacked Ban.

King shouted in alarm "Fairy King Dahlia!".

Elaine screeched "Ban!".

Holding her chest, Lily sat upright in alert "Dahlia!".

Dahlia glared and choked Ban's neck, holding him off of the ground and growling "Ho... there's a familiar face. A human, indeed. How could you be still alive, human?".

Oceanus Kingdom

"So... After their first round to hunt down and devour the human's souls, the Ten Commandments members named Melascula summoned and controlled the Dead while those two traitors, Gloxinia and Drole created Albion", Merissa leaned her head on her palm, tapping her fingers rhythmically on the armrest. Leaning her back on the chair, Merissa looked down at her 'awakened' dead husband "That's fast. So, what do you want after you are resurrected? Do you want to take revenge over your death?".

Aquila narrowed his eyes "That low your opinion on me, huh? If only you loved me, I wouldn't be so desperate. I wouldn't have done it".

Merissa clenched her fists and growled "Aquila. In case you have forgotten about it, it was you who chose to start the coup d'etat and almost assassinated our own daughter. Was it your fault? Was it not?".

"Then kill me".

"...What?".

"Kill me before I bring harm on you and our daughter again. This time, make sure that I will be unable to resurrect. Don't doubt it. You can do it once. What makes you unable to do it twice? For the sake of this Kingdom... and our daughter".

"...Farewell, Aquila".

Merissa stood up and reached out her hand. The Tide Jewels were shining and the Sea Gods Trident shook violently. The waves of the sea enveloped Aquila before the Sea Gods Trident shining brightly and piercing through Aquila's body. Nothing left from the place where Aquila stood, only the Sea Gods Trident embedded on the marble floor.

Covering her eyes, Merissa bit her lower lips harshly. If her eyes could shed tears, she would cry but she could not even cry.

Behind her blind eyes which glinted dangerously, she growled "...Ten Commandments...".

Canterbury Cathedral

The Bishops and Nuns ran back and forth. They were busy lately because more refugees from the villages near the sea came.

"Have you heard? Lately, the villagers from the outskirt of the Britannia, mostly from the villages near the sea have decided to move because there were terrible storms or earthquakes which caused the tsunami".

"I wonder what happened...".

Ignoring the Nuns who idly had their chit-chat, Bianca opened the door to the chapel. As expected, she found Melody here "Saintess! Arch Bishop Gio asked you to come for the Morning Pray—Wait, are you crying?".

Melody did not answer the younger girl. She simply patted the younger girl's head before scribbling down something on the paper which she asked Bianca to hand over to Arch Bishop Gio without looking at the paper.

Arch Bishop Gio screeched in shock when he was handed over that paper by Bianca "Saintess! You can't possibly leave the Cathedral!".

Yep, it was written on the paper

Arch Bishop Gio ordered the Templar Knights to guard the Saintess' Palace and not to let the Saintess leave. Unfortunately, before they arrived there, Melody had ordered her familiars, the Butterfly to go back and teleport her far away from the Cathedral. When the Templar Knights opened the door, they saw the Butterfly enveloped Melody's body and she disappeared into the thin air as all her butterflies were flying away.
