When you've been dead for a couple of decades, and you're a child, you must find things to do before you die again of boredom.

Luckily when you have two sisters and you're part of a trio, fun is bound to show up. Ether that or, you can create your own fun, and that's what the magician triplets Nikki, Lindsey and Ginny were doing.

In the grand lobby of the Last Resort, there was a giant table, and at that table sat three sisters. On the table sat three walnut shells and a dried pea.

"Come right on up, come right on up, play our game that will test your observance, your will and even all of your skills that you have to offer!" Ginny shouted into a megaphone.

Many ghosts had formed a line in front of the table. A slinker stood at the front of the line. "Um, just what's the game?" She asked.

"Just follow the pea," Lindsey explained. "My sister puts that pea under one of those shells. You follow the pea. Sounds easy enough right?" Lindsey grinned. "If you win, you get one of these items," Lindsey pointed to a pile of items that consisted of money, candy and other junk. "If we win, you put an item on that pile. Deal?"

The game looked pretty easy, and these girls were just kids. How could she lose to the triplets?

"Okay, deal." Nikki cracked her ghostly knuckles and put the pea under the middle walnut shell. The woman watched that Nikki was surprisingly fast and then it dawned on the woman that probably no one had ever won against these three and all of the items that the three had offered to give were items that other people lost. Lost their items and the game.

Nikki stopped shuffling the shells and asked, "where is the pea?" The triplets looked at the woman with the most interested looks ever. The woman began to sweat and finally mumbled, "is the pea in the right shell?"

Nikki picked up the right shell and revealed that there was nothing under it. Then she picked up the left shell and there the pea was.

"I'm incredibly sorry ma'am, but you just couldn't follow the pea. Hey I told you that this would test your observance." Ginny told the slinker. "Next!"

The woman handed her pack of gum to Ginny, who put it onto the pile of junk. Then the woman sulked and floated away.

By the end of the day, the junk pile was sky high and the triplets were cheering.

"Yes! Another successful day of the shell game!" Ginny cheered. "Lindsey, you were right! This was a good idea!"

"Good idea, bad punishment." A voice came from behind the triplets.

The triplets spun around to see what was behind them, but it wasn't good. All of the boss ghosts in the hotel except Clem was staring hatefully. "You girls robbed everyone here out of their junk, and we're not very happy about it." Steward started sternly.

The triplets gulped. "Um, you see mister Steward, we were just having some uh, sister time together. You see, you should be happy that we're having this time because our relationship wasn't good in life, so here we are just trying to be together forever mister Steward." Nikki nervously said.

"There are better ways to have your, "sister time", but this is no way to do it. So I'm not very sorry to say this but, you have to return everything that you took. Everything. That includes the gum Lindsey."

"But this is my favorite flavor!" Lindsey said after blowing a bubble.

"Oh! One more thing. We're taking your hats!"

The triplets just stood in shock at their punishment. Then they all started to beg. "Now please mister Steward! There is more ways to settle this, but this is just the worst way ever!"

There was no way out of this so the triplets hung their heads in shame. Then they reluctantly took off their hats and gave it to the adults. An empty box of doughnuts fell out of one of the hats.

"Hey!" Kruller shouted. "That's where my doughnuts went." Nikki and Lindsey shot a glare at Ginny. "You were supposed to get rid of that. That's nasty Gin."

Ginny blushed in embarrassment. "Let's just get back to the floor." The triplets made their way to floor eleven and the adults seemed satisfied.

When the elevator arrived, Lindsey and Ginny were going to get into their pajamas and into bed, but Nikki stopped them.

"Listen guys! The grownups don't know what they're talking about! I say we teach them a lesson for just trying to play a simple game."

The sisters thought about the idea for a few seconds. In the end, both Lindsey and Ginny agreed to plot revenge.

"So." Nikki went to the plan. "My idea is that we sleep all day tomorrow and at night, we prank the entire hotel! Genius right!" Nikki beamed.

"Hmmm," Lindsey thought. "I honestly agree with Nikki's plan and I want to do this. Ginny?" Lindsey looked at her youngest sister.

"I dunno guys. Today we pulled a simple trick and we got our hats taken away. Can you imagine what the adults will do to us if we do this plan?"

That thought never hit Nikki and Lindsey, so now all of the triplets were a tiny bit nervous about the plan.

"Well come on Ginny, if we get punished it'll only be temporary. Also, if we actually do this, we'll be legends in the pranking universe.

Nikki wasn't wrong and the whole plan was pretty tempting, but just how long would a punishment to this be? A month? Two months? A year?

Ginny sighed. "Oh fine. But if we get in trouble, I'm blaming you guys entirely and I'll turn you guys into rabbits and use y'all for a dangerous magic trick.

Nikki and Lindsey gulped at the thought. At least Ginny gave her sisters something: motivation. Motivation to not be used for a dangerous trick.

"Well, I'm glad(?) that you're going to do the plan with us, but we need to plan the pranks."

In the next hour, there was a giant list of pranks sitting on Nikki's lap.

"Great! Now how many pranks were there again?" Nikki looked at Lindsey.

"1,600 pranks on this list Nikki. 100 for each floor. Except ours of course." Lindsey answered.

"Great! Ginny, you do floors B2 through 3F. Lindsey, you do floors 4F through 9F. I'll do floors 10F through 15F. You're right Lindsey, we're NOT pranking our floor. Now girls, let's get tons of rest for our night of pranks!" Nikki yawned.

Lindsey and Ginny nodded in agreement and went to their beds. They would miss everything tomorrow, but it would be totally worth it. The looks of shock on the grownup's faces will make this all worth it.

The adults sat on their chairs in the lobby. They all sat looking a little guilty.

"So," Captain Fishook began. "Do ya think we might've been a little too hard on them? I mean, they're just kids."

Steward sighed. "They're teenagers Fishook. It's about time we stop their little acts and get them to become more mature."

"I know that, but taking their hats? That's like taking my hook. Plus, they died at the very beginning of teenager years. There's still children inside of them." Fishook said.

"Maybe he's right Fishook," Dr. Potter chimed in. "Although I do kind of like that child like behavior."

"Well, let's just hope that they aren't going to do something stupid. You know, like a prank."

"We just got to wait to see what happens."

The very next day all three of the triplets just slept. It was pretty weird to all of the other ghosts and they were a little bothered but still were good.

The thought was on Captain Fishook's and Kruller's mind.

"I've gotta feeling that maybe we must've accidentally broke the three. Do you feel that same way?" Fishook asked Kruller.

"I mean you might be right, but whatever comes on with today, we know this must go perfectly. We all can't afford another slip up." Kruller smiled.

"Oh! That reminds me, did anyone of us tell the triplets what's happening?" Fishook asked. "If all of them are unaware, this might go badly."

"I'm one hundred percent sure someone did, and ether way, I'm sure not even Nikki would be stupid enough to pull a prank right after getting punished."

Fishook thought for a few seconds. "Yeah, sure you're right man, I know it."

Unfortunately for both Kruller and Captain Fishook, they were both wrong.

It's now nighttime. Or early morning for the triplets. They had all set alarms for 9 o'clock in the afternoon and were rearing to go pull a bunch of pranks.

Nikki had really thought up a plan that would work in theory, but would fail if anyone was caught. Of course the triplets realized that they would need stealth for this mission. Unfortunately without their hats, the triplets would have to find a new way to be sneaky.

Honestly, as the leader of the Twisted Trio, Nikki thought up everything even down to the tiniest detail. Nikki even revealed that she had hair dye that would be useful if they were caught. Nikki called it, "using what you have to be useful."

Lindsey and Ginny thought that Nikki might have been overthinking things, but the hair dye was a nice touch. Reluctantly, they decided to listen to Nikki's strategies and was kinda forced to use the hair dye.

"Now listen girls!" Nikki pointed at the game plan on a whiteboard. "This is the biggest prank heist we've ever done. We've done one hundred pranks. Five hundred pranks, but never we've done over a thousand."

"Umm, what are you getting to?" Ginny asked. "What are your plans?"

"My plan is to use these!" Nikki pulled up the mattress from her bed. Lindsey and Ginny gasped in awe.

Under the mattress was all the pranking stuff a ghost could ever need. Nikki grabbed a can of hair dye.

"If we get caught and if anyone sees our luscious locks, we're after-dead meat! So, brown hair is a go." Nikki pointed the can towards Ginny.

"Um sis?" Ginny asked. "I'm not very comfortable with a new hair color, and I uh, think I'm allergic to ponytailed ghosts with a can of hair dye."

"Hey!" Nikki exclaimed. "This is the biggest mission ever, so we must be prepared. I was thinking of getting a suit of green for us, but I changed my mind. I think I might need to charge my mind again," Nikki grinned.

"No!" Lindsey and Ginny stammered. "Brown hair it is."

When Nikki was done with the can, all three of the triplets' hair had a dark brown shade to it. Lindsey and Ginny was hoping that they could just start the pranks already so they could wash out the dye.

"Oh shit! The dye's permanent!" Nikki gasped. Lindsey and Ginny ran up to Nikki and tried to get a look at the can.

"Just kidding!" Nikki laughed. "I knew you guys would fall for that!" She kept laughing and Ginny was heading towards her sister ready to punch. Lindsey grabbed Ginny and wouldn't let her punch Nikki.

"Let's just get to the pranks Nikki," Lindsey rolled her ghostly eyes.

In front of the elevator, there were three bags that carried tons of items that would become pranks to the entire hotel.

The trio got into the elevator and hit the button of their first floor.

"Good luck girls!" Nikki said smiling. "I hope we won't die again tomorrow!" Nikki got off at her stop. Next was Lindsey's stop. She got off after Nikki and smiled at Ginny. "Do good!" Ginny gave Lindsey a thumbs up in response. Now Ginny's stop is here. Now it's the time for the pranking part we've been waiting for.

(Let's be real, I can't tell you everything that the triplets did otherwise this chapter would take forever. Let's only see the good pranks.)

Ginny saw her first target: the garage. Many cars were parked there and nothing like a little mini water guns to attach to the door handles. When the car owner opened the door to the car, water would shoot them. Hehehehe.

In the laundry room of the basement, there were multiple washing machines. Ginny taped a sound effect machine to all of the washing machines that would make it seem that the washing machines were going to explode.

In the Boilerworks, Ginny had TPed the entire main area. She also put a speaker which said that the culprit of the pranks came from your nightmares.

In the grand lobby, Ginny hung TP from the chandeliers and put shockers into the drawers of the front desk. Whenever someone grabbed something from the drawers, they would be given a bad shock.

In the Mezzanine, Ginny put multiple fake rats and spiders. She also put film across the doorways and put honey on the film.

In the kitchen part of the Mezzanine, Ginny decided it would be a good idea to wrap the kitchen supplies into zip ties. Now no supplies could escape.

In the hotel shops, Ginny made the lights that were on the signs of the shops on for a while. That meant no turning off the bright lights tomorrow.

Ginny also had the bright idea to crawl into the vents and hung items into the bathrooms. The items were a bunch of junk she had found earlier.

Now the good pranks are out of the way time to get to the boring ones.

The pranks so far where going perfectly. There were still so many pranks to go. There were a couple of close calls though. At one point, Ginny was almost caught by a hammer, but she got away in time.

The other sisters were doing just as fine.

In the great fourth floor of the Last Resort, there was a Lindsey and that Lindsey was pulling tons of pranks. You see, she used her magic to put the auditorium chairs on the ceiling. She rearranged all the piano keys of Amadeus Wolfgiest's piano and turned the keys into pickles.

In the Great Stage hallway, there was a popcorn machine. Lindsey looked at the list Nikki gave her and saw the prank, "musicify the popcorn machine in the Great Stage."

What Nikki meant by musicify the popcorn machine, she meant to make the popcorn machine pop popcorn 24/7 while playing horrible music also 24/7.

While Lindsey was putting pranks all around the Great Stage, she noticed something strange. The floor was even more clean than normal.

The entire floor was completely clean and nothing was off about the floor. "Well, this floor is too clean and I'll test that out," Lindsey removed a couch cushion and to her surprise, not even a crumb was under it.

Ugh. Lindsey thought. Another one of those events again. Why did no one tell us though? Lindsey had a point. The staff always tells everyone in the resort about every little thing, so an event should definitely be told to the triplets.

But then something hit Lindsey hard. She began to panic as she realized what was going on. Her sisters would definitely need to know starting with Ginny.

Oh no. This is really bad.

Lindsey thought she might be sick.

Nikki was on the thirteenth floor. She was putting a match on the weights to make them incredibly hot. Nikki giggled. She imagined Johnny grabbing the weights and burning his hands.

Nikki heard a noise. She tried to find a hiding spot, but the room was an open space. Nikki panicked and prayed that she wouldn't be caught. Nikki did hear something though, people whispering for her help?

Ginny and Lindsey darted into the room and Nikki breathed a sigh of relief.

"Nikki!" Lindsey trembled. "It's 6:30 AM, and today is the day an inspector comes to the hotel to check it out! The inspector gets here at seven!"

Nikki stopped what she was doing, turned around and then she accidentally dropped a weight she was carrying. This made a loud noise that echoed across the entire floor.

"Hey! Who's there!" A voice called.

The triplets darted out of the room and into the elevator hall, into the elevator and down to floor eleven.

"What?!?" Nikki screamed which resulted into Ginny slapping her hand over Nikki's mouth.

"Yes! We don't have anytime to get rid of all of the pranks, so we have to get rid of them while the inspector is here!" Lindsey whisper-screamed.

A very sudden wave of nausea rolled across the triplets. Just how could they manage to get rid of every and all pranks. By now there was at least 1,250 pranks in total that were in the hotel.

"Okay," Nikki stammered. "We need to split up and get rid of the pranks that we can now, and then try to be stealthy to get rid of the pranks while that inspector is here."

For once Nikki had an idea that made sense. Unfortunately for the triplets, doing the plan would be even harder than they thought.

It would be thirty minutes before the inspector got to the hotel, and the triplets needed to get rid as much pranks as possible.

Unfortunately, there were so many pranks that even Nikki, the creator of the pranks forgot about some pranks. That's just how many pranks there were.

While Nikki was trying to get rid of one prank, she forgot about another one and ended up getting slimed.

"Ahhh! No! I forgot about that!" Nikki shrieked. Lindsey was with Nikki and all she was right now is helpless.

"HAHAHAHAHA!" Lindsey laughed. It was just so hilarious to see Nikki drenched in slime.

"Ugh, stop Linds!" Nikki growled. "We still have time to get rid of more pranks!"

Ding ding ding! Time is up for the triplets and almost all of the pranks were surprisingly almost gone. There were still a few pranks left and now, inspector Darry is here.

The entire staff was lined up in front of the hotel and in their best moods. The triplets were also in the line, but they had the most nervous expressions on their faces anyone has ever seen.

"Welcome Darry!" Steward greeted the inspector. "We are all so happy that you could make your way to this wonderful hotel. We all have done our part to make sure you are impressed."

Darry was looking at the hotel staff. Hmmm. All the staff members had excited expressions except three ghosts. They all looked the same and these ghosts had to be triplets. These triplets had tired and nervous expressions on their faces.

Oh well, Darry thought. These girls wouldn't exactly ruin the inspection. Unfortunately for Darry, he had no idea what would be in store for him.

Darry had asked to use the restroom and the triplets still had their nervous faces. By now, one adult had caught on.

"Hey, why do you all look tired and nervous?" Morty asked the triplets. Because of this question, now all of the staff saw just how tired, nervous and scared the triplets were.

"Actually, you do look tired. Wait. You all look more nervous than tired. What's going on?" Serpci questioned Lindsey.

Nikki shot a look towards Lindsey that said, please don't tell these guys. We could deal with our problems. Lindsey knew that not telling the adults was a stupid, but Lindsey didn't want to let Nikki down.

It was a very hard decision, but in the end just telling the adults and having them help with the problem is better than Darry walking into a prank and shutting down the hotel.

"We..." Lindsey began and Nikki began to mouth the word don't. "Me Nikki and Ginny kinda might've put up pranks in the entire hotel and didn't take out all of them so please help us or Mister Darry might shut down the hotel."

The staff sat dumbfounded and then slowly looked at the triplets with the look that seemed be the look that was enraged but silent.

"Okay, we'll help you, but the punishment of no hats for a while is going to be two weeks. We all don't want this hotel to disappear, so we must help you." Steward sighed.

Nikki showed the adults her list of pranks. "We put almost all of these pranks in the hotel, so please try to disable them before Mister Darry finds them."

Steward looked at the list and then the triplets. "You put almost all of these pranks in this hotel, unaware that there was an inspector coming here?!?" Steward tried not to to yell. That might get Darry's attention.

"Okay, if I must tell you, it was Nikki's idea." Ginny blurted out. "I tried to tell these two that this was a bad idea, but they didn't listen."

"Hey!" Lindsey gasped. "You were the one who agreed to do this, we never dragged you into this." Lindsey glared at Ginny.

The adults sighed. The triplets would have to do something, but they were almost helpless. The triplets never knew about inspector Darry coming to the Last Resort and they would never agree to a plan like this ever again.

"Fine, we'll all help you guys get rid of your foolish pranks." Chambrea sighed. She and all the other adults werewilling to do this for the sake of the hotel.

After a very long time of inspector Darry doing, well, inspecting, all of the pranks were completely gone. No paint buckets, no Whoopie cushions, and no water balloons. Everything was completely gone.

"Yes!" Nikki cheered. "We were actually able to get rid of everything! Thank you so so much!"

"Ahem,"

The boss ghosts turned around to see inspector Darry covered in glue. Everyone looked in horror seeing that the one guy that had the option to close down The Last Resort has been a victim of a triplet prank.

"I see that there are multiple practical jokes all around this hotel, and I would love an explanation." Inspector Darry glared at the boss ghosts.

It was all over. No more Last Resort. No more adventures. Steward looked at the triplets and then looked at Darry. An apology is needed.

The triplets sighed and floated over to inspector Darry. "We... did the pranks." Nikki sighed. "We, me and my sisters, never thought that any of this would happen."

"Yeah!" Lindsey chipped in. "Please don't close this place, it's the only home we all ever had,"

"Pretty please," Ginny whimpered. Darry stared at the triplets. How could he close down the one place that felt like home to three innocent girls?

"Oh alright," inspector Darry smiled. "I won't close this hotel,"

The other boss ghosts in the background jumped into the air cheering. The hotel would be forever!

"But... I do require someone to come over here and if said someone says this is such a good hotel, The Last Resort stays open. Call me later when you decide which person you'll choose." Darry floated out the front door.

"I knew he'd fall for that," Nikki grinned. "Thanks to these good manipulation skills, this hotel may still be up and running!"

Clem smiled at the triplets. "Oh no ya don't! Ya have da nerve day all of dat was fake! We all know dat those feelin's are real!"

"No it wasn't!" Lindsey smiled. She and the rest of the other ghosts knew that they had dodged a bullet, and now there was a bigger question on everyone's mind.

"So, who should we invite here?" Kruller asked Steward.

He smiled. "I know exactlywho to invite!"

I really hope that you enjoyed this chapter because this is the last chapter of Luigi's Mansion 3 After-Tales. I will start a brand new multi chapter story right after I write Luigi's Last Resort Stay!
