In another part of the Isles, Odalia and Amity arrived at an old building seeing it surrounded by some kind of barrier over it.
"I will get in there and shut off the barrier, then you can come in and help destroy the weapons."
"How do I know you aren't just doing this to get his weapons yourself?" Amity asked.
"You'll just have to trust me." Odalia said.
Amity glared at her birther before giving a single nod, deciding to trust her since she somehow saved her life after Raine tried to kill her.
'I'm still not clear on how she did that exactly.' Amity thought.
Odalia nodded back as she approached the old building and passed through the barrier with ease. She went into the building and walked up behind one of Fitz's men. She put him in a choke hold and snapped his neck. Just because she was in prison, didn't mean she didn't still have some strength in her body. After she moved the body to hide and took his uniform to blend in, Odalia could walk through the building with ease to find the source of the barrier. She walked up to a table with some kind of remote on it.
"This must be it."
Odalia looked around for anyone and quickly grabbed the remote, quickly leaving the room to find a private spot to undo the barrier. Amity watched as the barrier went down and she ran inside. She found Odalia.
"Good, follow me." Odalia said, "We should be able to get this done in less than ten minutes."
Amity nodded to Odalia and followed her through the building.
"Where are these weapons located?" Amity asked.
"They're in the basement." Odalia said.
"How are you so sure?" Amity asked.
"You don't leave highly dangerous and illegal weapons somewhere easily accessible." Odalia said, "I know from experience."
'Oh yeah, Blight Industries was technically an illegal weapons operation.' Amity thought back to her mother and father's "security" company and all the presentations she had to help with.
Worst nights of her life before meeting Luz and becoming a vampire. They went to the basement and found a large assortment of stakes, Holy Water, Griffin Blood, Weapons, anything and everything that can kill a Vampire was there. Just the mixed smell of holy water and griffin blood in the air made Amity feel like she was choking.
"I hate it in here." Amity said.
"We just need to set these up." Odalia said, handing a few Abomination looking devices with a timer, "These were part of the family's private stash. Stick them somewhere and set the timer for three minutes."
"Got it." Amity said before seeping into her shadow, speeding around the room to plant the abomination bombs on the walls.
Odalia did the same as she planted bombs near the weapons, seeing each time for three minutes and having a trigger on her person to set them off remotely.
"That's all of them." Amity said.
Suddenly the door opened, and Fitz's men came in.
"Stop!"
"Shit!" Odalia cursed as she drew a spell circle, summoning several spirits to attack and distract them. "Amity, we need to go!"
The two used the spirits distraction to run. One of Fitz men fired an arrow at Odalia, who dodged it, but it managed to break her trigger. She knew the timers were set but she needed that for another reason. When they were out of the building, Odalia grabbed Amity's wrist. She pulled Amity into a hug and kissed Amity's head.
"Amity... tell your kids I'll miss them."
Odalia took a step back and put the barrier up.
"W-w-what are you doing?" Amity asked.
"They destroyed my trigger, I hoped I wouldn't need it, but knowing that there are more hunters in there... I can't risk any getting out."
"W-w-wait... that's-"
"Goodbye, Mittens." Odalia said, before running back into the building.
Amity ran and started pounding on the barrier.
"Odalia... Odalia... mom!" Amity screamed.
After a minute of trying to get in, Amity heard and explosion, followed by another, then another. Then one big one destroyed the building. Amity took a couple steps back before falling backwards and sitting on the ground for a few minutes. Odalia may have been a horrible person... but she also saved Amity's life when she was kidnapped, she gave her life in order to stop Fitz, she... she was still Amity's mom. Amity thought about this, when she realized something.
"Kids?"
Amity looked at her large stomach and put a hand on it. Elsewhere, Luz stirred as she opened her eyes. She was chained to a wall and looked around.
"You're awake... good." Fitz said.
Luz looked and saw Fitz.
"You." She growled.
Fitz pressed a button and Luz was covered in light, not sunlight but magic, which made her scream in pain.
"Don't worry, it won't kill you... not until I've taken everything from you first." Fitz said, pulling over a wheelchair with a bruised Eda tied to it.
"Let... her... go."
"Now where' the fun in that?" Fitz asked, pulling out a familiar object, "I'm sure you remember this, right?"
Luz did recognize it, and it made her furious.
"The same knife that Alaric used to kill your mother." Fitz said, "Only fitting that I use it to end your mothers replacement."
Fitz pressed the knife against Eda's check, making a small cut, just to get Luz riled up.
"Any last words, Owl Lady?" Fitz asked, pulling Eda's head back by her hair.
Eda slowly and painfully opened her eyes and looked at Luz.
"Luz... close your eyes." Eda said.
Luz felt her eyes get wet with tears and did as her mom said. Luz couldn't keep the tears in as she heard the knife cut through flesh and Eda gargling on her own blood.
