Blake the Outcast Part 2
(Blake's POV)
I didn't know for how long I lock myself in my room thinking about everything that just happen, I reunited with Hiccup and the others but it was all supposed to be a dream
What should I do now? Should I go back to Berk with the others? Or, should I stay here with Alvin? I don't know what to do know
After probably another hour of thinking I decided to go for a snack, walked towards the Great Hall to look for a fruit or something, luckily, I found some berries that where able to fill the void in my stomach
Then I decided to go back to my special spot, if Thunder is still there maybe I could talk to him, I know that I won't be able to understand him but I really need to talk with someone
Once I arrived, I noticed that Thunder wasn't there anymore so I sat at the edge of the island looking at the ocean
Suddenly I heard a soft growl behind me so I looked behind me to see who made that growl and for my surprise Thunder was there looking at me
"Thunder, I thought that you were gone" I said, then Thunder walked towards me before curling up around me in a protective way, I couldn't help but smile as Thunder placed his head on my lap
I began to rub Thunder's head who let escape a soft purr of pleasure "It's good to see you again" I said
"It's good to see that you are still you" someone said behind me taking me by surprised I looked behind me again and I saw Hiccup standing there
I quickly got up and tried to run but Thunder blocked my way "What are you doing here?" I asked looking at Hiccup
(Some minutes earlier) (Hiccup's POV)
After Blake run away from us, we tried to find him again but we didn't find him, it was like he vanished from existence
But I know that he is still in there, I don't know what's wrong but I know that I can help him, we returned to the cave where we left our dragons to think about what to do next
"How are we supposed to find Blake again?" Snotlout asked annoyed "We're lucky that the outcasts haven't find us first"
"I'm more concerned about why he ran away from us" Fishlegs said
"I already told you, he lost his memories again" Ruffnut said placing her arm on Fishlegs' shoulder
"Hiccup, I know this might sound crazy but, I think that Ruffnut is right" Astrid said surprising everyone "I don't find any other explanation"
"I still refuse to believe that, Astrid" I said looking at her "When we found him, he looked more confused that scared, I know that something is wrong and it has nothing to do with his memories"
Suddenly Thunder landed laned in front of us getting our attention "Thunder, did you find Blake?" I asked and Thunder nodded
"But where is he?" Tuffnut asked confused "I don't see him anywhere"
Then Thunder walked Towards me and bowed his head down, I quickly understood the message, he was allowing me to ride him so I got on his back as the others looked at me
"We'll be back" I said as Thunder began to fly "Thunder probably knows where Blake is so we're going after him"
After a few minutes of flying, we arrive at the edge of the island, I got off Thunder's back as I looked around confused, but then I noticed that Blake was sitting there looking at the ocean
Thunder walked towards Blake growling softly getting his attention "Thunder, I thought that you were gone" Blake said not noticing me
Then Thunder continued walking towards Blake before curling around him and placed his head on Blake's lap
"It's good to see you again" Blake said as he rubbed Thunder's head
"It's good to see that you are still you" I said taking Blake by surprise, he looked behind him and saw me, he quickly tried to run but Thunder blocked his way
"What are you doing here?" Blake asked looking at me
"I'm just here to talk" I said giving a few steps towards him "Why did you run away from us?"
"I… I'm not sure, okay!" Blake said "When I saw you, I thought that I was crazy or something"
Blake sat at the edge of the island again hugging his legs trying to hide his shame, I walked towards him and sat next to him
"Just calm down and tell me what happen" I said placing a hand on his shoulder, Blake looked at me and took a deep breath before talking "When I was in my room at Berk, Thunder and I heard something so we went to investigate"
"The next thing that I remember after that is waking up here at the outcast island and Alvin told me that after my training my opponent throw his hammer at me" Blake said
"But what about the bandages?" I asked
"Alvin told me that I accidentally cut my eye when I fall unconscious" Blake said standing up before walking towards the ocean "He also said that I probably had a scar, but it's time to see if its true"
Blake removed his bandages and looked at his reflection in the sea and noticed that he didn't have a scar, he analyzed his eye before placing a hand on top of if
"This could not have been caused by the cut of a sword" Blake said "Hiccup, this happen to me the day we fought against the Red Death, right?"
"Yeah, some of the fire got into your eye" I explained standing up and walking next to him
"So, it wasn't a dream" Blake muttered but I was able to hear him
"I'm sorry?" I asked confused
"When Alvin told me that I was unconscious for a day after the incident I thought that all my life on Berk was a dream" Blake explained surprising me, so that's what happen
"It's not like that" I quickly said "Let's go back to Berk"
"No" Blake said "I can't go back, unless I know what really happen that night"
"So, what are you going to do?" I asked
"I'm going to confront Alvin" Blake said putting his bandages back on his forehead and eye "You go back with the others and tell them what happen, we'll reunite back here in an hour"
I nodded and got on Thunder's back but he didn't move "Don't worry, I'll be fine, I promise" Blake said calming Thunder down
Then Thunder began to fly leaving Blake behind, we quickly returned to the cave where the others were waiting for us
"Did you find Blake?" Astrid asked once Thunder landed
"Yeah, we did" I said getting off Thunder "And he already explained everything to me"
"Turns out that Alvin tricked him to make him think that all of his life on Berk was a dream" I explained "He also went to confront Alvin but he also told me where to find him"
"But he'll be there in an hour" I said "So right now we'll have to wait"
(Blake's POV)
I was able to return to the village with no one noticing me and I was looking for Alvin, it wasn't so hard to find him, I heard him talking with Savage
"Are you sure about this?" Savage asked
"I'm completely sure, if he doesn't remember anything of his life of Berk, he'll help us to take over Berk" Alvin said
I felt how my heart shrank after Alvin spoke, even after what happen he still see me like a weapon then a headache appeared making me remember what really happen that night
After that Savage left so I hid and luckily, he didn't saw me, then I heard Alvin talk "However I still missed him, he's my son after all"
When Alvin said that, I froze in my place, even though he is decided to make me participate in his plans to take over Berk, he still loves me as his son, what should I do now?
I guess that I'll go back to see of Hiccup and the others are there, I was able to avoid every outcast that I found successfully returning to the edge of the island
Hiccup and the others were already there with their dragons, once they noticed me, I decided to talk "So you're all here, good"
"Why did you want us to be here?" Fishlegs asked
"This spot is especial for me" I said walking towards Thunder "I used to come here all the time when I wanted to disconnect from the world"
"So, what now?" Astrid asked "Are you going back to Berk?"
"I am but everything is still so weird for me" I said starting to remove the bandages
"First I lost my memory and arrive at an island that I called home for months, then I started to remember my past but it only made me feel insecure and afraid" I said as I finished to remove the bandages
"Finally, when I thought that I went through it, I got kidnapped and make me think that everything was a dream, I can't believe that I was so blind" I said frustrated as I sat on the ground
"Well, to be fair only your right eye works so-" Tuffnut tried to say but I interrupted him "Tuffnut if you complete that sentence I'll throw you into the ocean!"
"Sorry, I'm still processing it all" I sighed ashamed of myself "But my time here make me realize that I missed Alvin"
"What!? Are you serious!?" Astrid asked
"I know that it sounds crazy but he's still my father, even if I like it or not" I said
Suddenly someone threw some nets trapping everyone but me, then Alvin appeared with more outcasts
"Well, well, well, what do we have here" Alvin said as he walked towards me "Good gob finding the intruders Blake"
"Take them to the cells!" Alvin ordered
"NO!" I yelled surprising everyone
"Blake, these are intruders, and they should be punished for invading our island" Alvin tried to reason with me
"Don't play all innocent" I said surprising Alvin "I heard you talking with Savage and I know what you were really planning"
I gave a few steps towards him before charging at him but instead of attacking I hugged Alvin confusing him but he returned the hug
"I'll be honest, I missed you too" I said with a few tears on my eyes "But I know what I have to do"
Before Alvin could react, I pushed him giving me an opportunity to free Thunder "Let's finish this" I said to Thunder who nodded allowing me to get on his back
We started to fly and Thunder shot three lightning blasts at the outcasts leaving most of them out of combat however the remaining outcasts threw nets at us however Thunder saw them in time so we dodge them
"There's too many of them" I said noticing that more outcasts were approaching but Thunder seem to have an idea
Thunder flew up and let escape a powerfully roar and some electricity went through his body and freed it hitting the outcasts who were forced to retreat
Unfortunately, I didn't escape intact, the electricity also went through my body shocking me and everything went dark
(Third person POV)
Thunder was able to catch Blake and leaved him on the ground before helping the other teens to get free from their nets
"Is he okay?" Astrid asked walking towards Blake's unconscious body fearing the worst
However, Blake groaned a bit meaning that he was alive making the teens sigh of relief "We need to take him back to Berk" Fishlegs said
They were able to put Blake on Toothless back and they all flew back to Berk
The next morning Blake woke up in his room in Berk, first he was confused not recognizing where he was, but when his vision wasn't blurry anymore the first thing than he saw was Thunder sleeping on the floor next to his bed
"Thunder?" Blake asked sitting on his bed, when Thunder heard Blake's voice he woke up and started to lick Blake who chuckled a bit
When Thunder stopped Blake cleaned himself with a rag that he had, then he got out of bed to walk around Berk
However, when he was going to open the door, Thunder stopped him "Thunder, what's wrong?" Blake asked confused
Before Thunder could do anything, the door opened and Thunder walked away from it, who opened the door was Hiccup who went to check on Blake
"Blake, you're awake" Hiccup said
"I am, but for how long I was out?" Blake asked
"For a day" Hiccup said "But we're all relived to have you back"
"It's good to be back home" Blake said
Hiccup and Blake decided to walk around Berk to distract Blake from his bad thoughts of him being kidnaped by the outcasts
But they noticed that Thunder's behavior was a little weird, if anyone was carrying something that could be used as a weapon Thunder growl at them if they got too close to Blake
Thunder also roared at the dragons if they got too close as well, that really worried Hiccup and Blake but they thought that he would be back to normal, but they were wrong
When Blake and Thunder returned to the forge before Blake could enter Thunder began to move every weapon than he could find to make sure that Blake wouldn't get hurt
That night while Blake was sleeping Thunder was really paranoid, the minimum sound was able to put him on alert making him search for any dangers
Suddenly Thunder heard something outside so he went to investigate, however when Thunder opened the door of Blake's room, he accidentally woke Blake up
"Thunder, what are you doing?" Blake asked standing up half asleep but Thunder gently pushed Blake back to bed
Then Thunder walked away but Blake decided to follow him, once Thunder was outside, he noticed that the sound was made by a sheep who was eating some grass
Thunder began to growl at the sheep scaring it but then Blake intervened "Thunder, it's just a sheep" he said "Come on, let's go back to sleep"
Blake walked inside the forge followed by Thunder who stopped to growl one more time at the sheep making it run away
Thunder became more overprotective of Blake the following days, he wouldn't leave Blake's side and he would also neutralize anything that could be a threat to Blake unless he stopped Thunder first
Blake tried to reason with Thunder but it only made him more paranoid, in fact Thunder was so paranoid that he spend a whole night making guard outside of Blake's room to make sure that he was completely safe
The next night Thunder wanted to do guard like he did last night but Blake already got a plan, he fell from his bed on purpose getting Thunder's attention
When Thunder saw Blake on the floor he immediately started to check if Blake had any injuries but when he was close enough, Blake started to scratch Thunder's cheek making him purr in pure bliss
Eventually Blake scratched Thunder to the point where he put him to sleep, once Thunder was sleep Blake sighed before going to sleep
Thanks to Thunder's lack of sleep he overslept, so when he was fully awake, he noticed that Blake wasn't there so he immediately started to look around the forge searching for Blake but he didn't find him
Then Thunder started to sniff trying to find Blake's scent and luckily, he found it, so he started to follow it hoping that Blake was okay
Meanwhile with Blake, he was in the Great Hall with Hiccup
"So, it's been really that bad?" Hiccup asked confused
"You have no idea" Blake sighed "Thunder has been really overprotective these days, and he has also been really paranoid"
"He didn't sleep one night in an attempt of protecting me" Blake said "Last night I forced him to sleep, I don't know what should I do now"
"You should talk to him, and let him know that you're okay" Hiccup said
"I've already tried that, and it only increased his paranoia" Blake said before standing up "Anyway, I think that I should go back before Thunder wakes up"
Suddenly Thunder entered the Great Hall looking for Blake "Too late" Hiccup muttered
When Thunder saw Blake, he rushed towards Blake and started to analyze him from every possible angle to make sure that Blake was completely okay
"I'm sorry Hiccup" Blake apologized "But it looks like I have to deal with an overprotective and paranoid Skrill"
Later that day Blake took Thunder to the forge to talk about Thunder's paranoia hoping that this time he'll listen
"Listen, Thunder, I know that you want to protect me, especially after my kidnap" Blake said "But I can take care of myself, but you're taking things too far, you've seen me fight multiple times"
Thunder wasn't convinced, instead he tensed up when Blake said "fight" so now he thought that Blake was in danger so he started to look for any dangers
"See? This is exactly what I'm talking about" Blake said making Thunder realize what he was doing "I appreciate the fact than you just want to keep me safe, but you can't keep overreacting by some little things, okay"
Thunder looked at the ground sadly admitting his defeat, so Blake pet him to cheer him up and it worked
The following days, Thunder's behavior changed, now he didn't act aggressively towards others and didn't overreact anymore, however he was still a little alert
The next week after Blake's kidnap, he and Hiccup were walking around the plaza having a conversation
"So, Thunder is okay now?" Hiccup asked
"Yes, now he looks more relaxed, however he's still alert sometimes" Blake explained
"Okay, but how you been doing since, well, you know" Hiccup said trying not to touch a delicate theme
"Well, it's been a little difficult to me" Blake said sadly "But I've realized of something, and it's the fact than in all my time on Berk, I've been learning more about myself than all my life in the outcasts island"
"I've also learned that all of my forgotten memories probably don't matter anymore, what's done is done, and its time for me to move on" Blake said
"If I concentrate to much in a bad past, I'll never be able to see a better future" Blake said knowing that if he continued to look to much into his past, he'll never be able to look ahead
