Day 26- Abandoned: Echo
Echo knew he'd never actually been abandoned by anybody. The only time he could qualify as abandonment was the explosion at the Citadel; but he knew that wasn't anyone's fault really.
Then, when he'd chosen to join the Bad Batch, he recognized that as his own decision. Rex hadn't told Echo he couldn't come back; it was his own choice.
But when Rex came to them and went with them to remove the Batch's chips, Echo felt…ignored in a way.
Yes, Rex had talked with him. It's not as though the captain had acted as though he wasn't there.
But, when Rex was leaving, he just…left.
He didn't say much, just sort of left.
But Echo wished that Rex had asked him to leave with him.
When Rex barely said a word when he left, that was when Echo felt abandoned. When Rex left without much to say at all, or asking Echo to go with him. That was what made Echo feel abandoned.
Author's Note: When Rex showed up in the Bad Batch, I was excited. Then i was kind of disappointed he barely said anything to Echo. I get that the show isn't about them, but like you guys are best friends! Be exict3 to see each other! It made me sad. So I wrote this. I am projecting on Echo.
