A/N: Hello! Thank you very much for all your kind comments. Some people didn't believe I'm Rebecca's cousin. That was so mean. Although it is true that she is helping me write this story, I am really twelve, thirteen next week. I have no reason to lie. Please, if you only want to say mean things to me, just go away and don't say anything.
Everyone else, you were super kind. I thought nobody would read this story, it was only to practice my English. But you were so nice! It's awesome to find people who love HP like I do, and that you are reading my story... that's sooooo coool!
I hope you like this chapter too. Hermione and Draco are getting close, just like most of you wanted!
Getting to know you
Harry looked like the world had ended. He tried to talk to Hermione but she wouldn't let go of Draco's hand, and they were all over each other, so he waited until they were alone in the Common Room after dinner.
"Hermione, what happened to you?" said Harry, "Why are you with Draco? Is he blackmailing you or something?"
Hermione didn't know what to answer first. She bit her lip."No one is blackmailing me, Harry. I know it's very sudden, but Draco has many good qualities," she said, lying through her teeth. She couldn't confess the truth to Harry because he would tell Ron.
"Good qualities? Like what?"
"He gets good grades, he's good at potions, he is romantic…"
"Romantic!" shouted Harry. "He's a bloody Death Eater! How can he be romantic?"
"He's rich, he's handsome, he has a nice fashion style…" she added, eyeing Harry's clothes with distaste. "His hair is very cool, he has a cute face–" Hermione stopped talking when she saw that Harry was about to throw up. Maybe she had gone a bit too far with the compliments. But thinking about it, some of them were true.
Just then, Ron and Lavender entered the Common Room holding hands. As soon as Hermione saw Lavender, she ran to the girls room. Ron looked at her with disbelief.
"What's wrong with her?" asked Ron.
"She's dating Malfoy."
"No way, mate. You didn't believe it right. She's only doing it because she's jealous of Lavender. But she's not really dating Malfoy."
"I don't know… I just talked to her and she seemed pretty in love with the Ferret."
Suddenly, Ron felt as if he had eaten something bad. Could it be possible that Hermione had really fallen for Draco? Draco was a mean bastard, but he was handsome, smart and a lot richer than Ron himself. If Hermione had really fallen for him, then…
No! No! ¡Imposible! He refused to believe it.
The next morning, Harry, Ron and Hermione went to the Great Hall to have breakfast. Lavender was there, waiting to sit next to Ron, but Ron only wanted to watch Hermione. He still couldn't believe Hermione was dating the ferret. Suddenly, Draco approche the table.
"I brought chocolate croissants," he said, sitting down next to Hermione. "I saw you eating some at Hogsmeade the other day, so I know you like them."
Harry and Ron were pissed off. They looked at each other. He doesn't even know Hermione's tastes, they both thought.
But Hermione was touched. She knew it was all fake to teach Lavender and Ron a lesson, but the last person to buy her favorite treats had been Viktor.
"Thank you, Draco," she said shyly.
Draco felt his face heating up so he looked away. "It 's nothing."
Ron's worries increased tenfold. This looked way too real for him to dismiss it.
After they had finished breakfast Draco offered Hermione his hand and they walked together to the first class, Transfiguration.
"Hermione, do you want to work together today?" said Ron.
From the corner, Lavender was looking at Ron like she wanted to kill him, but he didn't notice.
"Sorry Ron, I was going to work with Draco" complained Hermione "Another day maybe…"
In reality, Hermione would have preferred to work with Harry or Ron than with Draco, but she had to stick to the plan. However, after McGonagall gave them their assignment – to turn a ring into a kitten – she was pleasantly surprised by her study partner.
Unlike her two friends, Draco didn't ask her for help. He was capable of working on his own. Soon, she found herself comparing notes with him.
"How did you get the orange color in your kitten's fur?" she asked him. Her own kitten was black and white.
"Easy. I just thought of my own kitten at home. How did you make his ears so pointy? They are cute."
"Oh, you just move your wand like this, see?" she shows him. "There you go!"
At the end of the lesson, McGonagall gave them both 10 points for their houses. Hermione couldn't believe how fast time had gone by while they worked together. She knew that Draco wasn't a complete fool, but he was much smarter than she had suspected.
They continued working together the rest of the day. Hermione was having so much fun in her classes, actually more than with Harry and Ron.
When the last class finished, Draco saw Pansy and Ron walked away in fury. They had bought their lie and now they were suffering, just like they should. However, even though Pansy and Ron weren't around, he found himself looking at Hermione. She had been a great partner, much better than any he had had before. And he didn't want to part ways yet.
"Do you want to come to the library to study?" He asked her before he could stop himself. She looked at him in surprise, and he felt like an idiot. Of course she didn't want to spend time with him. They were enemies. She was just a mudblood. He hated her and her kind. He couldn't wait to get away from her.
"That'd be lovely," she answered, surprising him and herself.
All previous thoughts disappeared. Draco offered her his hand again. Together, they walked off to the library.
Here you have the second chapter. What do you think? Sorry it took me so long to write it, I was reading the fifth book and that took forever u.u
The sixth one is so much cooler! I read it in one week :D
Do you think Draco and Hermione are getting close? Do you have any ideas for the next chapter?
