Team ACES was walking inside a jungle in the middle of nowhere. It was night and thankfully, nobody was following them and the place was so quiet. After they got out of the city, they were heading to their base. Around that time, Skyler woke up and felt embarrassed when she saw herself being carried by her leader.
Some things never change.
Anyways, it became night and it was perfect for walking with little of their guard down. As they were walking, Ace started to tell them what happened when he was gone.
"Let's start from the beginning."
The scene shifted to a big prison with tall walls surrounding it. Inside the prison, there were so many cells that contained so many prisoners with some cells having more than one prisoner. The cells had a bed or multiple beds depending, a toilet, a small window, and were locked with iron bars.
Inside one of the cells, Ace was laying on his bed. He looked younger as his hair was shorter, his beard was smaller, and wore the prison uniform that consisted of the normal blue shirt, blue pants, and a pair of sandals. Additionally, Ace had a heavy metal ball attached to his leg, preventing him from moving swiftly.
"I was inside one of the hardest prisons in Vale and things were very simple. I woke up inside a room with my lonely bed and toilet. I had a camera watching me all the time. I had guards watching me and the other prisoners but more on me. And outside where I break rocks using a pickaxe. Don't ask why."
The scene changed and showed Ace outside of his cell and carrying a pickaxe as he was using it to break the stone. There were many prisoners with him in the same place with many guards watching them.
"I was watched like crazy. They were hawks with their stern looks and their stone-like stances. Like damn, thanks for the attention. The only good thing about it was that they weren't looking at me when I was using the toilet."
The scene returned to Ace laying on his bed with a bored expression.
"It was boring. Nothing happened at all except fighting some of the prisoners and a visit from my sister."
"Storm! Someone visited you." Ace turned to the sound of the guard calling him and informing him.
Ace smiled and was pushing the attached ball with his legs as it was too heavy for him to carry every single time. After pushing the ball for five minutes, Ace reached the place where prisoners were talking with their friends or family members. Ace saw his sister Azure in a casual outfit and waving at him once she noticed him.
"The talk between us was nice. I had the chance to talk to her and update me on what happened. I told her to let Ozpin continue what I was doing until I get back in a way she understood. It was a mix of talking normally and using a different language. I told her to watch out for any danger that might happen to her, her husband Dimitri, and her girl Link. She told me that Link is eager to meet me again. It was sad, not gonna lie."
The scene returned to Ace inside his prison and laying on his bed, again. He was singing under his breath and enjoying his time until multiple guards with their shields entered his cell.
"After being inside the prison for nine months, there were many guards that entered my cell with shields up. I didn't know what they want or didn't resist because it wouldn't be nice at all. I was carried like I was some sort of weapon and later threw me inside a big truck. That truck's job was sending me somewhere else. I thought of Cinder but turned out to be different as it was a secret prison."
The scene showed a truck moving in the middle of nowhere and parked inside an abandoned building. Inside it, the ground shifted like an elevator and started to move the truck underground. After they reached their spot, Ace saw a giant prison and assumed it was full of some of the dangerous prisoners in Remnant.
"I couldn't believe what I saw. A fucking prison underground. UNDERGROUND! I looked around and saw how strict the place was. It was 5 times worse than the first one. They put me on a chair and strapped me to be able to plant a chip in my neck that could detect me, shock me, and explode at any moment with a button press. I can't describe how nerve-wracking that moment was. After that, they put shackles on my wrists, attached leg irons, and put the same heavy ball with it like what the fuck? I was like a war criminal. The security was much tighter. The only good thing about that place was the good cafeteria and a gym to keep my body fit. I don't know why there was a gym in the first place but okay."
The scene changed to Ace sitting inside the cafeteria and eating food. He looked around and saw the prisoners eating, talking, or doing nothing but staring at the food.
"I was sick of this. I wanted to get out of this prison one way or another. I spent so much time inside it I was able to pick a lot of information about that place like how everything was connected to the main computer. When I say everything, I mean that the cells, the chip, and the irons, all of them were connected to the main computer. I confirmed that when looking at the cuffs because they weren't locked by a normal key. But hey, it wasn't all bad."
Ace continued to chew his food and looked at the people who were sitting next to him at the same table. He noticed someone with a familiar look. Ace focused on him and saw how familiar his blonde hair and eyes were until he figured him out.
Ace spit in shock. "Oh my goodness, Wesker!" The blonde-haired man looked at him and got frozen from the shock.
…
"WHAT?!" CES looked at him in shock.
"Yep, out of all people, I found him with me. I didn't expect to meet him but it happened." Ace nodded.
CES blinked at that surprise. They didn't expect Wesker of all people to show up again after sending him to prison.
"Wow…what are the odds?" Carl commented.
"It was kinda awkward to see him but it wasn't bad, to say the least." Ace rubbed his neck sheepishly.
…
"Storm? What are you doing here?" Wesker narrowed his eyes and asked.
"Got accused of a crime I didn't do because I was a nuisance to an enemy for a while." Ace responded. "I gotta say, out of all people, you?"
"Let's say that I got into trouble last time. I was sent here and alone after beating the entire prison…multiple times."
"That bad! Wow, you're very stubborn!" Ace laughed out loud. "This is comedy in my book, man."
"Ha-ha, what a funny joke." Wesker laughed sarcastically. "But in all seriousness, why are you here?"
"As I told you, she got sick of me and used this perfect accusation to put me in a different prison before they brought me here without hurting a fly." Ace rested his elbow on the table and his face on his palm.
"She?"
"Cinder Fall. I'm sure you heard that name somewhere." Ace revealed.
"You are correct, Storm." Wesker nodded. "I indeed heard her name and met her in person. She knows what to do and see you here because of her made me astonished to see you alive. She offered me to join her and I refused politely. I was doing my stuff without a lot of help and you came along."
Ace's eyes got wide open slightly and nodded lightly. "I see…I'm very surprised to see you, too. I want to get out and finish what I started with her before she does her move so-"
"I'm sorry, kid. I tried to plan on getting out but this place is impossible for someone to get out. No one escaped this prison ever since they made it." Wesker shook his head. "They made it so no one can get in or get out that easy."
"Are you sure?" Ace asked with his hope hitting the surface so quickly.
"Trust me, I did my research and saw people trying to escape but none triumphed. I have heard and even seen people trying to escape but those damn chips shocked anyone that tried to get out. Half of them were lucky that they didn't get exploded." Wesker nodded.
Ace's mood got down and covered his face in failure. He couldn't believe what he heard and seemed like he was giving up for the first time.
"From that point, I gave up on the idea of escaping. The only hope was the system getting down or someone rescuing me which were near impossible to happen."
The next scene happened one year later. Ace was laying on his bed with a bland expression. His hair got longer and his beard grew up and got thicker. The hope of escaping was down ever since Wesker told him that there was no escape. He tried to think of an idea but nothing would work. He didn't know what happened because nobody told him at all. Nothing came out of the guards or someone big announced Cinder or Ozpin winning. He didn't know if Cinder was quiet or started her operation.
Everything was unknown.
"I was at the point of giving up. Nothing happened after that. I was repeating my actions all over again until I wanted to break the cell and beat up everyone. Of course, that was impossible. So, I started singing, singing loudly. I was loved and hated because of it and I was doing it whenever my mood wanted. It was the only entertainment besides fighting. I asked myself when and how I could escape until a miracle happened."
Suddenly, the lights got out, and heard a familiar sound from his cells and cuffs. Ace realized what happened and got rid of them quickly except for the chip on his neck. Ace got up and covered his eyes when he saw red lamps illuminating.
"Hey! What are you doing? Get back to your cell!" Ace turned to one of the guards who was talking to one of the prisoners that got out of his prison. Suddenly, more prisoners got out of their cells and many guards showed up with multiple non-lethal weapons to put down the prisoners.
"Let's say that chaos happened."
(Insert song: Bleed It Out by Linkin Park.)
The prisoners started to fight the guards which they fought back.
It was chaos as everyone was fighting and prisoners weren't afraid of hurting the prisoners with their weapons.
Ace took the chance and kicked the guard that walked in front of his cell before he took his shotgun that was filled with rubber bullets. Ace turned to see more guards and started to fight them with ruthlessness and bone-breaking hits. The first and second guard got smacked by the shotgun before shooting the coming third before he grabbed another weapon. This time, it was a weapon that shot electricity to immobilize the targets. Ace shot all of the rubber bullets at the coming guards in front and behind before throwing them to put down two guards at the same time.
Ace started to use his electric gun and shot the coming guards behind him before he started to run towards the control room. Ace was shooting and smacking everyone in front of him except prisoners who were helping him. While he was kicking some ass, he looked left and saw Wesker beating down everyone with his punches and semblance.
After punching his way through, Ace got to the end of the path and jumped to land on the first floor smoothly before he engaged in the mayhem and beat anything in his path. Wesker reached the end of his path and jumped before landing a punch on the ground so hard the shockwave made everyone close fly.
Both of them looked at each other sternly and nodded before they started to head to the control room. They beat everyone so quickly and so ruthlessly until they reached the path where it led to the control room. In front of them were multiple who blocked the road.
"Get back to your cells or we will use force!" One of the guards warned before they engaged.
Wesker growled and punched the guard in the front line. The hit was so strong it took most of the guards behind with him. Ace didn't stand there and watch as he started to shoot the standing guards and the ones who tried to get back.
They continued to do that until they found the room. They heard the voices of more guards coming their way so they entered the room before they appeared.
Inside the room was six individuals who got up and approached Ace and Wesker.
Ace attacked the coming two of them with a dropkick before getting back up and parrying a punch from one of the guards. He head-butted him and punched him to his face before he gave him a chop to his neck, knocking him down instantly. The other two got back and tried to attack Ace but the blue-haired male stopped their fists before he grabbed their heads and slammed them at each other before knocking them with a kick.
Wesker didn't seem to have a problem as he countered a coming attack with a jab on the approaching guard before delivering a punch to the chest and a back elbow to his face, knocking him down. Another guard approached him with a gun in his hand but Wesker was so quick and pushed the gun aside and hooked him with his elbow before taking off the gun and pushing him to the third guard. The third guard pushed his companion and Wesker punched him away and tried to hurt him but the blonde man smacked him with the gun in his hand before stomping his head to knock him out.
(End Song.)
"Oh, well. That was interesting." Ace commented while putting his hands on his hips.
"Indeed it was. So how are we supposed to remove our chips?" Wesker looked around.
His answer was delivered as the normal lights turned on and the computer was running. Ace chuckled at the quick answer before he started to find where he could disable the chips. It took him a minute before he found it and disabled his and Wesker's.
"Done. Now, let's find a uniform that disguises us and try to escape." Ace turned to Wesker who nodded in response.
"How about the other prisoners?"
"Let them have fun."
Ace and Wesker got out of the room sneakily and stole free uniforms. They started to move around the prisoners and helped them secretly.
"Well, that's it. Chaos was the spotlight. We were able to sneak around and get up without someone noticing us. It was hella funny but none of us cared and got to the elevator. After reaching the top floor, we saw multiple guards who were sitting around and waiting for any truck or people to come. We greeted them to not cause any suspicions."
The scene showed Ace and Wesker moving together with their heads revealed. They were walking in the middle of nowhere with nothing but stolen uniforms and grown-up hair that made them almost unrecognizable. They saw that it was sunrise and the golden rays were clearing the road more for them until they stumbled across a town.
"So, what are we doing?" Ace wondered.
"Simple, we go to our paths and never meet each other ever again," Wesker replied.
"Oh, come on, Wes. We seem to be good together. You can't throw it off like that." Ace nudged him lightly.
"Because we aren't supposed to be together," Wesker replied with a harsh tone. "This was all coincidental and it's a matter of time before they find out that we escaped."
"I understand but how about we keep close contact." Ace suggested.
"What do you mean?"
"I say that we should help each other. Cinder wants me down and it's a matter of time before she gets informed so how about working together. I promise to clear you from your crimes if you agreed on not getting back to them again." Ace offered.
Wesker thought about it and saw it was a great offer. He didn't have anything to work with outside of a hidden safe house for himself if things got messy. While he doubted him, he didn't have any choice. "Fine, I agree to your terms. I expect myself to be free to do my activities without a problem."
Wesker offered a handshake with Ace shaking him back in agreement.
"What happened after that was very simple. He and I got a way to travel to our spot. I was able to get to Patch and find my stuff. Unfortunately, I didn't find my family anywhere and it was worrying for me but I pushed it aside and brought my weapons from the hidden spot I put them in the house. After that, I took a long shower and removed a lot of the hair to make myself look decent at least. Then, I saw what happened and it was crazy how things changed. A year and half of conquering and resisting made me feel guilty for not being here and stopping this but I can't change the past and here we are."
…
Team ACES stopped at their place and was stunned by the story. There was a lot to progress as meeting Wesker and the prison break was crazy. They didn't believe that their leader was losing hope inside the prison because he wasn't the type of guy who gave up that easily.
"W-Wow…I don't know what to say." Skyler commented.
"Crazy, right? When all hope is lost, a blessing came out of nowhere and gave me a lot of hope and adrenaline I didn't feel in ages." Ace nodded.
Carl was silent while Violet was thinking before asking. "Wait, you said that the prison lost its power, right?"
"Yes,"
"I think I know where was your location. East Vale." Violet pointed out.
"Yeah, that's correct." Ace nodded.
"Oh my goodness! Guys, it's the energy factory. Remember that factory that used to provide the empire power? Turns out, it was somehow connected to the prison, and thus, it caused all of this." Violet revealed.
The other three got shocked with Ace being the most before he beamed up and hugged the three of them.
"HOLY SHIT, GUYS! THIS IS THE WEIRDEST AND THE HAPPIEST COINCIDENCE IN MY LIFE!" Ace exclaimed loudly. "THANK YOU FROM THE DEEPEST PARTS OF MY HEART! THANK YOU!"
CES smiled and hugged him back in response. What were the odds of having your team rescuing you when you didn't expect it the most?
"I can't describe my appreciation, guys. You helped me without doing that. I guess you're not so guilty about not being able to help me." Ace released his hug and smiled.
"I guess." Carl shrugged.
They continued walking for a few minutes until they reached a spot surrounded by bushes. Carl walked to a certain bush and removed it to reveal a metal door on the ground.
"A hidden door I see. Good thinking." Ace commented.
"Yeah, it's for the better. Having it underground has many benefits. Violet did a lot to make it invisible for them to detect." Carl explained while inserting a certain code and his fingerprints before it opened. "Come on, they will be happy to see you," Carl instructed as he jumped inside followed by Violet, Skyler, and finally Ace before it closed.
Things are getting hot.
AN: Boy, oh fucking boy.
Here it is. The start of this big boy. I think this will be my focus now until I get motivated to write One More Change again. I like writing this because it has so many ideas and potential for later.
Not much I could say than hope you have fun.
Sincerely, Eslam.
