If you traveled around Remnant, you would notice a special city out of all on any continent. The city was surrounded by a large wall full of guards and robots, seeking anyone inside or outside the city. That was designed to protect the city from any coming danger. Either it was Grimm, who didn't become the main threat anymore, or the rebels.

The wall was fixed and upgraded a few times, especially after the last time.

Inside the city, there were normal buildings with people moving around casually yet nervous at the same time. They were nervous because of the main tower in the center of the city. The building seemed to be large, tall and surrounded by many guards from anyone that tries to enter.

That was the place, you guessed it, where Cinder Fall was located at.

Inside the high building was Cinder sitting on her throne and looking at the windows that showed most of the city. Cinder put her legs above each other with a small yet noticeable smile but at the same time, it didn't show her satisfaction.

Cinder had trouble dealing with the resistance as they became so problematic for her plans. She knew that they wouldn't go down that easy as she sent many to stop them but to no avail. It seemed like there was someone who could help them at the last second when it seemed like it was over. She didn't let them win that easy and as result, it caused this year and a half fight between her and the resistance.

She stood up and headed out of her throne room to see what were her circle up to and the updates about her army.

The scene changed to a different place where it had multiple people were working or forced to work for her. She smirked and walked around to see how everything was working. Most people were scared as they knew how powerful she was and found themselves focusing on their job instead as she could do much bad stuff to them. She didn't make them rush their work very often as the good work was the one that was made professionally and not so quick it resulted in many failures for her and her plans.

"All hail for the empress!" Cinder turned to the voice of one of her circle members and kneeled in front of her. "How do I serve you, my queen?"

He was a pale man with gold eyes and a brown ponytail braided to resemble a scorpion's tail. He wore a white sleeveless jacket with leather belts strapped to it, along with white pants. His jacket was left open, exposing his bare chest, which was crisscrossed with prominent scars. His arms were covered with cream-colored bandages and leather armbraces. He also wore leather boots covering his entire shin with a knee guard. On his lower back, he had a long scorpion tail, resembling that he was a scorpion Faunus.

"How are you today my dear Tyrian? I just need to check how things are and if there were any updates." Cinder responded to the Faunus known as Tyrian.

"There is a lot of good news, my lady." Another person came and this time he seemed like he was from Atlas.

He was a tall middle-aged man with a slim build and slightly tanned skin. He had a short black and gray hair as well as a thick mustache and eyebrows, and green eyes. He wore a grey overcoat with yellow linings, a yellow dress shirt, and a black necktie. His pants were the same color as his overcoat. His yellow-buttoned undercoat and fingerless gloves matched his cordovan shoes, under which he wore yellow socks.

"It seems like we are doing a magnificent job. We have a lot of backup in terms of trained troops, Atlesian droids, and the giant robots to fight the resistance at once and still have more to keep our power if they destroyed them while dying." The Atlesian scientist informed. "However, I didn't get any information about the attack we sent as Jimmy didn't arrive yet for some reason."

"I'm sure he had some problems getting to here but when he arrives, I want some good news." Cinder said sternly. "Anything else, Arthur?"

The man referred to as Arthur fixed his tie and spoke. "W-Well, in terms of recruits in special operations, we have interesting ones who could do quite the job after watching them carefully. This way, please." Arthur showed her the way before the three started moving.

Below them by a couple of floors, there was a place for shooting practice alongside other stuff to work with. Standing there was two individuals talking to each other.

The first was a female that wore a mint green crop top with off shoulder pulled back sleeves beneath a cropped white quilted leather, double-breasted biker jacket contrasted with black notch lapels with matching cuffs alongside her emblem on the back in black as well as a belt loop at the bottom of the jacket's hem. She wore white, skinny jeans and brown chaps that ended at her thighs. She had weapon holsters attached to the back of the belts. She completed her outfit with a pair of brown ankle boots with metal toe plating. Her hair was a light, mint-green with a straight fringe and bangs as well as two long locks on each side in the back. Finally, her skin was brown with dark red eyes.

The second one was a male who wore a blue zipped-up top to the neck with orange trim, covered with a gunmetal gray, double-breasted leather zippered biker jacket with his sigil across the left side his torso. He was also wearing gray armbraces that extend up to his biceps atop black fingerless gloves. He also had black pants with zipper lines along the thigh, and wore an orange keychain hanging down his belt which reads "M80-495". Finally, he had gray hair with bangs that covered the right side of his face and gray eyes.

"I'm telling you, Mercury. I'm afraid of her snapping any time soon. Do you remember when she got so angry?" The girl asked.

The male known as Mercury nodded in confirmation. "Yeah, she was about to destroy half of the old base we used to stay in after Ace kept stopping her and started to make us step backward. Also, there is the last time she was so angry that she broke the windows off three floors just from being very angry when the resistance did a lot of damage when they attacked the city, Emerald. I don't know about you but I feel like she will get angry so soon."

"Yep." The girl known as Emerald nodded before she turned to the sound of the gunshots. "Also these recruits seem like they could be good."

Many were doing practice shooting, fighting training bots, or talking with each other. However, there were two who seemed to grab the attention of Emerald and Mercury.

The first was a female that wore a white vest with a sort of gray armor under it. The armor also had many blueish green circles and lines around it. She wore black and brown leather pants and belts, and yellow glasses. She wore a certain type of fingerless gloves that were infused with dust. Her boots also were designed to seem like jet boots. It had dust fused with it shown from the lines that showed what type of dust was used. Finally, she had hazel eyes with short brown hair.

The second was a male who seemed to be a bit loaded in his outfit. He wore a black ballistic helmet with one eye hole that had a visor to use. He wore a bulletproof red-and-black vest and bodysuit, with many holsters, containing various firearms at all times. The bodysuit seemed durable enough to handle bullets, explosions, and strong impacts. On his wrists, he wore gauntlets that contained machine guns with the option to change the type of shot. On his back, he had a sniper designed in a way that could able to shoot 30 bullets in one go, giving him great opportunities to kill his targets without the need of reloading it so soon. Finally, he wore black boots that were designed to store a gun or a pocket knife to use.

Both of them caught the attention because both of them were shooting and got their targets so quickly and so smoothly.

The female was quick a blink of an eye could miss as she was giving headshots and heart shots so fast with the gun in her hands and didn't allow the targets to breathe for a second. The male was similar to her but was using multiple weapons and only hitting headshots. He used any weapon offered such as an SMG, a normal sniper, and his handguns.

Mercury whispered loudly and Emerald's eyes were slightly wide open before she commented. "They look pretty good."

"Very good." Mercury nodded with his eyes drifting towards the lower side of the brown-haired woman.

Emerald noticed him staring at her and poked his ear to grab his attention. "Hey, don't do that. You know that she could kill you in a moment of weakness."

"You better listen to her." Both turned to the voice of the brown-haired woman looking at them while reloading her weapon. "Many did that before and learned the lesson shortly after."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever, Maicon." Mercury rolled his eyes and shrugged.

The woman named Maicon snickered while continuing to check her guns.

DING

Everyone turned to the elevator's voice, which revealed Cinder with Watts and Tyrian entering the room. Everyone besides Emerald and Mercury stood still and looked at Cinder walking and looking at them.

"Ah, what do we have here? I assume these are the recruits." Cinder put her left fist on her waist.

"Yes, these are the chosen ones. We're talking about many talents who could benefit us for later." Mercury said.

"Very well." Cinder took a look at them again and saw that she could use those for her before she spoke. "Greetings. You may know me as Cinder Fall but I prefer to be called queen, empress, boss, or any name that makes you comfortable just no insults because I don't like them, especially when I'm here. You have been chosen after some research from Doctor Arthur Watts." Cinder pointed at Watts. "You will attend missions that vary to different topics but the most important is stopping the resistance by any chance and anyway. Do you understand? I think you do. Now, you will be provided with any weapon or tool to assist you in coming missions. There's also a room to house every single one of you so make yourself at home but once it gets serious, you will obey my orders. Understand?" The recruits nodded quickly in approval. "Great, you're dismissed." With that, everyone returned to their normal activity.

DING

Everyone turned to another ring from the elevator. This time, a person seemed like he was hurrying to enter with papers in his hands. Cinder turned to that man as he was important to her. "It's about time you arrive, Jimmy."

The man known as Jimmy stood in front of Cinder and huffed. He wore an official uniform that contained a white shirt, black button-up jacket, black pants, and black boots. He had wavy hair with a small mustache and glasses.

"I would have been here if someone knew how to register my identity quickly!" Jimmy exclaimed before he became calmer. "A-A-Anyways, I-I have bad news."

Cinder pinched the bridge of her nose and took a deep breath before she glanced at Jimmy. "What is it?"

"W-W-Well, after sending a small drone to detect the resistance leaders' location, the troops that got sent to the resistance leaders have been d-d-destroyed, including our new project," Jimmy said nervously.

Cinder's mood changed as she got irritated and gritted her teeth. After sending a small drone behind them, they were able to fight and survive. "What else?"

Jimmy got too nervous from telling her the next information and decided to step backward. "I-I-I-I can assure you that there's no more stuff." Jimmy laughed nervously.

"NO!" Cinder objected. "There's more."

Jimmy closed his eyes and took a very deep breath before he reported Cinder the big stuff. "Okay, remember the energy factory that got destroyed a couple of days ago? Well, I want to inform you that it was connected to an underground prison. The place that contains A-A-Ace Storm."

Cinder gritted her teeth harder and her anger started to get clear as the presence became heavier and everyone was backing off from the anger.

However, someone wasn't scared but shocked.

Maicon got frozen when she heard the name Ace Storm while hearing the entire report from Jimmy. She got confused as to why Ace made her angry so she paid attention more.

"AND?"

"The prison's power got down as a result and it caused in freeing every prisoner and it became chaos. Ace was one of them and used that opportunity to disable the chip on his neck and escape the prison with someone else once the second they had before the generators got activated. After checking the prisoners, I got reported that he and that guy else escaped." After Jimmy reported, she covered his face with the stack of paper.

Cinder wasn't able to contain it and released fire that destroyed a giant training robot. The recruits understood why they shouldn't mess with Cinder or make her angry. After a minute she calmed down and took a deep breath to calm down.

"Excuse me for this sudden side." Cinder sighed and looked at Jimmy. "If it weren't that your usefulness, I would have killed you on the spot. Now, find him and bring him to me. Don't put your guard down or he will kill you on the spot, even if he was weaponless. If he contacted the resistance, which he probably did, we will go down in the final battle." Jimmy nodded and got out on the floor.

Maicon was shocked at what she listened to. She grabbed her weapons and headed to her room quickly without saying anything. When she entered her room, she saw that it had a big bed, a dresser, 2 desks, a giant window that revealed the city, and a wide screen.

The brown-haired woman looked around the room for any cameras and found one hidden inside the lamp desk. She smirked and put her weapons in front of it. After that she took off her vest and armor, revealing that she wore a black tank top before resting on her bed.

'I never thought I would hear that name ever again.' She closed her eyes. 'Now that I heard that he was dealing with her and something related to prison I need to find what happened exactly.'

On the island of Patch, there was a 13 years old girl. She wore a brown shirt, a brown skirt, and black shoes. She had hazel eyes, long brown hair, and a pair of glasses. She was standing outside of a house and next to a car full of packages.

"Come on, Milena. It's time to go, sweetie." A voice called her name seemed to be her father walking out of of his car.

"I'm coming," Milena informed in a low and sad tone.

"Don't be sad. I know you will miss your friends but there's a chance to make more friends. Besides, you have most of their numbers." The father patted his daughter's shoulders.

"But that's unfair!" Milena complained. "I'm used to living here with amazing friends. I can't leave them because of your job."

"I understand, sweetie but I'm not the person who can control where I should stay or travel in this type of situation." He stood up and got into the car. "So, come on, I will buy you a smoothie on the road."

"Yes, dad." Milena lowered her head in sadness and teared up. She didn't want to leave the place she used to live in but she can't do anything about it.

"HEY! MILLIE!" Milena heard something yelling her name from behind. When she turned, she saw her friend Ace running to her house. She turned to her dad and he nodded in approval before she went to see her friend.

Ace was younger back then as he wore a blue shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes. His hair was short and had most of it blue with the front being black.

"Millie! Thank goodness I was able to get here quickly." Ace stopped and huffed before Milena got to him. "I just heard about you leaving Patch and it seems like it's true."

"Y-Yeah, I-I didn't want to but my father's job required moving and I-I can't do anything about it," Milena confirmed before she started to tear up.

"H-Hey, no need for crying." Ace tried to comfort her. "Look, I can't do anything, too but don't let that put you down."

"B-But what should I do?" Milena asked as she looked down. "I-I-I don't want to leave you, Ace. We had a lot of a great time together with the others. I can't just t-throw all of this away."

Ace sighed and patted her shoulders. "Millie, I can't do anything. You will have that time in your life that you need to rely on yourself and other people." Milena raised her head and looked unconvinced. "Since you will move to a new home, you will make new friends and discover new places."

"B-But I love Patch. I love this place as it's the place where I was born and the place that makes me comfortable. I can't start all over again." The brown-haired girl retorted.

"Hear me out this once, Millie. You might be shy and a nerd but don't let that stop you. You can be better if you started to get used to the changes around you or even change yourself. You can become more than who you are and this is not a bad thing at all. It's a good thing to develop ourselves sometimes like what I do in training. Don't let any obstacle from moving forward. I know that you can do that, Millie. Just remember to not let anything stop you."

She didn't understand what hit her but she felt something inside her appear all of the sudden after Ace's advice. She wasn't able to contain herself and hugged her friend so hard before she started crying. "Thank you, A-Ace. I will make sure to remember this advice."

"Hey, I said no need for crying. It's okay, it wasn't a thing." Ace hugged back and tried to comfort her.

After the hug and tears, she waved goodbye to him before he started to fade away. It was difficult for Milena but she would remember Ace's words until the end. She didn't know when will she met him again but years would tell.

Milena opened her eyes and put her hands behind her head.

'I loved him a lot when I was young and now it will be my chance to meet him again soon enough.' Milena said in her thoughts. 'Ever since then, I took his advice from the heart and used it in my life. It helped me a lot when I became a spy. I was reminding myself of what Ace said to me and it was motivating me to do the best until I became professional.' Milena took her glasses off and smiled. 'I wonder if he was single or not. Maybe not but we will see. Also, I wonder how his reaction will be after he knows what happened.' Milena laughed at the last thought.

Milena grabbed her scroll and started to type some codes. "Let's see what shall we do."
