Slight AU where Aang and Katara never kiss on the submarine or at EIP, and don't get together on Iroh's balcony after the war. They remain close-best-friends, though, and when Aang reaches adulthood and leaders and nobles try to pressure him into a relationship, he seeks out Katara's help in avoiding them.

Modern, AU. Katara is assigned to the Southern Air Temple for a medical school practicum. Aang joins her as part of his assignment as a diplomat, allowing them to see the Air Nomad way of life and how the people there confront life and death daily. Can this new wisdom gives them a new perspective as a married couple as they prepare to start their new family? NSFW content.
