This text marks a dream

Chapter 1, What is a hero?

Marshall and Chase stare at each other. Eyes locked and smiles on their faces. Zuma stood in the middle ready to announce the fight

'Round one of the tug of war tournament. Marshall and Chase, who is going to win, will it be chase with all his power, or will Marshall find a miraculous way to win? We will find out today.'

'You are really good at that, do it more often.' Rocky complimented

Zuma smiled 'Thanks, been working on it. Anyway, everyone knows the rules, when you pull the toy over your own line you win and move on, understood everyone.'

Skye laughed 'You take this very serious Zuma.'

Of course I do,' Zuma replied. 'it's the legendary tug of war tournament! Anyway I'm getting distracted, pups on your marks…get set, go!'

Chase and Marshall both ran to the tug of war toy and both pulled as hard as they could, competitively looking at each other. Marshall pulled with all his strength but he knew it wasn't enough, he pulled and pulled but eventually the toy went over Chase's line and Chase won.

'Good game!' Marshall gives Chase a fist bump.

'Sorry Marshall, I am clearly stronger than you.' Chase said in a funny way 'Maybe one day you can beat me.'

'Who knows, maybe I will beat you next time.' Marshall joked.

'Who knows.' Zuma said. 'Okay let's continue to round two, Rubble, Rocky, it's your turn.

The pup tags of Marshall and Chase go off.

'Cali is stuck in a tree again, can you two come and get her out.' Ryder asks the two pups through the pup tags.

'On it.' Marshall calls back.

'Ah not Cali again, she seems to be stuck on a tree every day at this point.' Chase says frustratedly

'Ah come on Chase, it will be fun. It's much better than having to chase down those bunnies again, those things have infinite energy.' Marshall laughs.

'Okay, but that cat just does it for the attention.' Chase calls out.

'It will be fun anyways. Come on, let's get that cat out of the tree.' Marshall says.

Chase and Marshall get in their vehicles and go to the location where Katie is already waiting for them.

'Sorry for the call pups, I really need to learn Cali not to go up the trees again.' Katie apologizes

'It's okay Katie.' Marshall reacts. 'Cats are cats.'

Chase sets up his net next to the tree while Marshall goes on his ladder to get Cali down.

'Come on Cali, come here kitty.' Marshall calls

Cali then jumps on Marshall's face which causes Marshall to fall down his ladder like always.

'I'm good.' Marshall smiles.

'Nice job Marshall.' Chase jokes. 'Come on, we need to get to the lookout so I can go on to round two of the game.'

'Okay, let's go!' Marshall replied.

'Thanks for the help pups.' Katie calls after the pups.

'No problem Katie.' The pups call back.

The pups return to the lookout and park their cars. They look around and see that the pups aren't outside. Chase and Marshall go inside and see the other pups watching Apollo the super pup.

'Oh hey guys, we thought while we wait for Chase we could watch Apollo, wanna watch?' Rubble calls out to the two pups.

'Sure!' Both Marshall and Chase answer.

The pups lay down with the rest of the pups and watch Apollo beat multiple bad guys.

'Don't you guys ever wish you were a super hero?' Rubble asks the others.

'Are we not super heroes?' Skye replies.

'I agree with her.' Marshall called out

'I don't really see me as a super hero. I think a person that has to protect the earth is a super hero, like in the MARVEL movies or the DC movies.' Rocky thought out loud.

'Bat-man doesn't protect the earth right, they call that man a super hero and he is the saddest human being on his universe, but I get your point.' Zuma replied.

'I think those heroes that protect the whole earth put way to much food on their plates.' Chase said

'Food, where?' Rubble reacted

'Figurative Rubble, you are right though Chase, I couldn't imagine someone having the responsibilities of protecting the entire earth on their shoulders.' Skye realized.

'I agree with that, we are great as a team, but protecting the entire world is a different cake.' Zuma said

'Cake, where?' Rubble joked.

'Come guys, now that the Apollo episodes have finished, I think it's time to continue the battle!' Zuma told everyone with a smile on his face.

'Yeah let's go!' Chase reacted.

Two hours later

'And your tug of war tournament winner is… Chase! Good job.' Zuma excitedly announces.

'Great job Chase, you are starting to be unbeatable, have you been practicing?' Rubble asked

'Thanks Rubble, yeah I did practice.' Chase admits with a smile on his face.

After celebrating a good game of tug of war the pups eat dinner and play some hide and seek. Night falls and the pups go to bed, it's been a good day in adventure bay, that's for sure.

Marshall is sleeping in his pup house and he's dreaming.

Marshall is in the forest next to Jake's mountain. The wind is calm and the birds are chirping. It's day time as Marshall looks around the forest. Then Marshall sees light in the distance, curious puppy Marshall goes closer to the mysterious light. Marshall is now standing right in front of it. It's a big half circle of light filled with five different colors. Red, cyan, green, yellow and blue. Then a voice calls to Marshall and tells him to step into the light. With no fear Marshall steps into the light. Marshall sees dogs in cool suits fighting and a tiny gorge next to where they are fighting. A giant robot destroying a big city and many drones attacking the fighting dogs.

Marshall wakes up, it's still night time. Marshall is confused with what he saw, but doesn't think to much of it, it's a dream, so Marshall decides to go back to sleep

That's chapter 1 for ya, hope you enjoyed it if not I'm sorry for wasting your time. I have been working on this project since at least 2020 so yeah it's been in the works for a while.
