A/N: Hi, everyone! This is my first fiction in the justice league department so I hope I did an ok job! As you can see the inspiration for this story is the Injustice movie. Instead of making Superman accidentally kill Lois why not make Wonder woman accidentally kill Batman? If you are wonderbat fans then I am sorry for breaking your hearts.

Thank you in advance for reading and supporting this story, I hope you enjoy! Please leave a review when done!

New York City was, surprisingly, calm for the last few months. Although it is uncommon not to receive attacks from mad, lunatic villains in a few weeks but months? It's almost impossible to believe it. The citizens, welcomed it with open arms, happy to not deal with them running around going crazy on them and destroying their city. And that made Diana Wayne skeptical of their behavior.

Something was nagging in the back of her mind but she paid no heed to it and tried to have a relaxing day, for once. She wasn't that skeptical before but after years living with her husband has made her a little paranoidーbut in a good way. I guess you can say he rubbed off on her.

She was busy doing paperwork, her eyes set on the ink-printed paper until she briefly glanced at the rings that sat on her left ring finger.

Both rings are beautifulーthe engagement ring consisted of a blue sapphire with two small diamonds on its side that sits on an elegantly carved platinum band. The wedding band is a simple platinum ring. Inside there was writing engraved, which was only meant for the couples eye's only.

Looking at it admiringly she recollected all the hardships the pair had to endure to be where they are today. Even after five years of marriage she still loved him dearly. She had to chuckle as she remembered how she first arrived here and caught the attention of the dark knight. When she wasn't looking, he would constantly watch her, search for her background-origin, you name it. His paranoia got the best of him but in the end, though, he trusted and considered her as a respective colleague. What he doesn't know, at first, is that he also caught the Amazonian warrior's attention as well.

She wanted to know who this mysterious and dark figure was. It wasn't out of romantic interest, she just wanted to know her teammate on a professional level. And after a year of fighting and knowing each other, their feelings started to grow. Of course, both knew about this feeling, and as a result, Batman tried to push the princess away at arm's length. Though she wasn't having any of his antiques and kept on coming as hard as him. But after the incident in Paris and now knowing about his identity, things have been difficult for the two. If they were starting to cross a line then he would take a step back. If they were getting too close, then he would step back again.

After three more years and all the battles they've been through; Villains, feelings, relationships, etc. both finally admitted their love for each other (more likely Bruce letting go of his fears and insecurities) and the rest, as they say, is history. A year of dating was one of her happiest years, and when he proposed to her in Paris, she was ecstatic. When the paparazzi caught a picture of her left heart wearing a ring on an important finger, the whole nation went crazy about it. The tabloids and media were having a field day when they heard about it. Everywhere you go, you hear people talk about when the wedding will be.

Of course, their friends and family knew about the engagement first. They were either celebrating for winning big or were in a foul mood for losing bets. The two weren't surprised about it though, since Bruce already knew and told her about it. She was angry at them at first but in the end, she had to roll her eyes at her friend's antiques. All were enthusiastic for the weddingーespecially Alfred, who was their number one supporter from the very minute he saw the spark between the two heroes. The least enthusiastic of the bunch was her mother.

When her daughter told her that she was engaged to a man, Hippolyta had been against it. Saying that he has tainted her daughter, that he doesn't deserve her heart. This ended in an argument between the mother and daughter until Bruce stepped in, making a bargain with the queen. Of course, Diana was upset with both of them as Bruce readily agreed to the trial her mother had proposed to give her consent to their marriage.

If you were a mere mortal man then you would've died on the first trial alone. But knowing Bruce, he isn't just a normal man. In the trials, he has to take on obstacles and courses. Lastly, he has to face Themyscira's most skillful warriors. That includes Artemis, Menalippe, Antiope, and Hippolyta herself in a face to face combat. With a weapon in hand and head held high, he fought each of them and wonーbut not without a few bruises to gain from his fight. Finally, the battle between Bruce and the queen started and it was intense, everyone at the coliseum was on the edge of their seats, waiting for one of them to strike as both combatants circled each other.

Bruce made the first move instead of waiting it out like in the earlier fights. He was quick and agile yet Hippolyta was ready, although she was a bit surprised by his actions. Sparks popped out when their swords collided. Both moved so quickly and fluidly that all had a difficult time catching up with their movements. The queen managed to slash Bruce's left ankle, making him stumble and slowing his movements but other than that he seems to be ok at the moment.

Diana tried to hide her fisted palms. Donnaーher sister took notice of this and tried to comfort her. "Diana, it's ok. He's going to be ok. This is Bruce, the batman. He can handle anything."

Diana slumped her shoulders with a resigned sigh. "I know. But I can't handle seeing Bruce get hurt. Especially by our mother."

"I know. But Bruce is doing this for both of your sakes."

"And that's the problem. We're supposed toー" She was interrupted by the crowd's roar. The sisters quickly turned to look at the two combatants.

Bruce was on the ground, on his back. The queen's sword was pointed at his neck. She cocked a brow at him. "Do you yield, mortal?" She questioned. Digging the tip a little harder, she penetrated his skin, and a small trail of blood came flowing out of the wound.

Diana couldn't read Bruce's stony expression. She barely caught his answer as he whispered it throughout the air, not knowing if it was meant for her mother or her. She looked at her mother's eyes defiantly. "I'll never stop fighting for her."

It may be called a dishonorable move to others, however, you got to use trickery or the surroundings around you to survive. So, taking advantage of the sand beneath him, he fisted a bunch of them in his empty hand and threw them at the queen's eyes.

With the queen momentarily blinded, he quickly stood up, leaning heavily towards his right foot. When he lunged, she barely caught his sword with her own. She was slowly losing her footing as he kept coming at her. This gave Bruce an advantage as he caught her off guard by parrying her incoming attack and landed a drop spinning kick to her legs, making her stumble on her back.

The queen's eyes are focused on the tip of his sword, which was aimed at her face. Her sword was in Bruce's other hand. "Do you yield?" Bruce questioned her raspily, his chest rapidly heaving up and down from the lack of air in his lungs.

Both were extremely exhausted and bloody, (Bruce especially). It felt like they fought for hoursーwhich was probably true. His chiton was ripped and dirty, the queen was also the same. Hippolyta took a moment to study him. She admits he is one of the best fighters she has ever met. Although he may be broody and stubbornーhe has a warrior's heart. He is a person with a strong sense of justice. The way he looks at her daughter with such tenderness, such passion. The way he treats her, you can see the love behind those gestures. And when Diana talks about him her eyes lit up so bright like he was her whole world. She can see how strong the couple's bond is and if she denies their union they'll still end up getting married any way but her daughter might resent her for it. Hippolyta may not like him but she respects him nonetheless.

"Before I concede to my defeat, answer me this," She started, staring at him in the eyes. "If I agree to this union to whom will she wed? The man with charm or the man in the mask?"

He didn't answer at first, you can tell he was thinking about her question before he answered her. "Both. The man and the bat are a part of who I am. It isn't something I cannot and will not get rid of in my life. Ever since Diana came into my life she has changed me in ways I did not know I could."

"She somehow made this broken man whole again. I know she is capable of handling herself and she has proven it countless times. I cannot help but worry for her safety every time she goes out there to defend the people from vicious enemies. I've experienced the pain of loss many times yet I still kept on fighting to refrain from other people carrying the same loss. And if I lost her, god forbid I might do something crazy if that happened."

He took a breath, then looked at Diana as he said his final piece. "I may have flaws but I swear to myself that I will always love her, and only her."

Diana was in tears after she heard Bruce's speech, and Donna as well. Although from the looks of it, she was trying to hold it all in. The whole coliseum was silent with bated breathーyou could probably hear a pin-drop falling from the still crowdーwaiting to see if the queen would surrender.

From Bruce's position, he could see the queen's eyes held no anger or embarrassment. They held pride and newfound respect. "I concede. You have earned my respect and have proven yourself to be worthy of my daughter's heart." She offered his hand towards him and he accepted it, hoisting her up on her feet.

Still clasping his hand she gave him an overly sweet smile. "But if you hurt my daughter in any way, remember, I have an army of Amazon warriors at my command and myself included to tear you to shreds."

"Don't worry, I know your daughter will handle that job quite well." He chuckled breathlessly. Grabbing his wrist, she raised it high up in the air. "Your victor, Bruce Wayne!" The crowd cheered at the news. He may not have seen it but in the Amazons' eyes, they now held respect for the man.

A sudden force almost knocked him off his feet. If it weren't for Hippolyta quickly steadying him and the person wrapped in his arms, they would've landed on the ground. Taking a good look at the person in his arms, he held her tighter and buried his face in her hair.

Diana was crying in his bare chest, she wasn't sure if it was happy or angry tears but she neither cared about that as she has the man she loves in her arms.

After a bit of an argument and days of healing, the couple was then married on the shores of Themyscira. It was a private and beautiful moment between friends and family and when they returned to Gotham, they held another weddingーalthough this one was a fake for their aliases Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince. The couple also decided if they should also announce a marriage between Wonder woman and the dark knight. This ended in a lot of discussions between the two and the other founders as it was a possibility of disaster and a target.

In the end, they decided to make it go public. To the surprise of the couple, there were a lot of people who supported the two heroes. Although some were upset that the man of steel and the Amazon princess did not end up togetherーmuch to the amusement of Diana seeing her husband becoming jealous of the pairing and to the relief of Bruce of having the reminder that she chose himーthey were still delighted by the results. The people of Gotham cheered as they not only have the bat clan to protect their streets but Wonder woman as well. Of course, the rule of metas are prohibited from entering Gotham is still in placeーthanks to Batman but he made an exception to Diana.

You can see the influence the two had, especially Diana. She traded her one-piece bathing suit for a more functional, subdued, and flexible one. Now wearing a dark red top, and dark blue tights. Her accessories were traded for a silver palette and were now thinner and smaller. Beneath her bracelets are dark blue armbands. The stars that were on her outfit were now only limited to five; two are on the side of her pants. one for each on the back of her hand and they were colored in silver, the last one was red and it was located in the center of her tiara. She also tied her hair into a ponytail rather than having it lose cause it was sometimes bothersome when she had to fight with it flying around. Lastly, she added a sword to her equipment, leaving the lasso as the only thing that hadn't changed. She never thought she'd wear such dark colors but it fits her, and they cover more skin.

When she first showed up in her new suit there were some mixed reactions. She was thankful that the hoots and hollers have stoppedーbut she thinks it has something to do with Batman. Don't get her wrong she can pummel these men into a pancake if she wanted to but when she gained the title of Batman's wife, all she had to do was give a glare in their direction and they'll turn the other way. Other than that it was comfortable for her, so she continued to wear it.

Batman was a bit more subdued but if you observed his outfit more closely then you can see some of the changes. The knuckles on his gauntlets were tainted in silver, as well as the sole of his boots and his utility belt. His suit was darker than usual but other than that those were the only changes on his suit.

There were times the couple was a little wreckless during their missions. When they married they knew the risks and responsibilities that would come with them and the most terrifying thing the couple had to endure is the thought of losing the other. Their solution to this is to talk about their thoughts to each other so that there will be no secrets hiding between the two. There were times that one of them would hide something from the other and that resulted in fights, avoidance, or ignorance of each other's presence. Both know when to back off when one of them would be extremely pissed about it but they also know when to force these conversations on the other. Families and friends can back this statement as they witnessed some of their arguments.

In the end, they'll always come back to each other. No matter how stubborn they may be and their love for each other won't want them to be separated for that long.

"... in other newsHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Diana tensed in her seat as she heard the chilling laugh. Turning to look at the TV she saw the Joker cackling madly while waving his gun around in the air. "Oh, Gotham how I've missed you! Did you miss me though? Of course, you did! I made you all laugh, remember?! HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Completely unaware of crushing her armrests she continued to listen to the clown prince. "E-hem. Sorry about that. Anyway, let me tell you all the reasons I hijacked all the TV stations. Well, one," He started to count off with his fingers. "I want you all to witness this special occasion of course. Two, it's boring and I don't want to react to it alone. And three…" He trailed off to add more suspense. "This sweet message is for the one, the onlyWonderbabe."

The nation currently has all of its eyes trained on any technological devices, ears focused on the Joker's words. "Now I'm going to make this dialogue as short as possible. Wouldn't want to keep the audience waiting you know?"

"Now see, all you have to do is go to the docks, take down hundreds of my goons and rescue these poor innocent children before the timer goes BOOM! Simple enough? Good! Oh! I almost forgot…" He leaned toward the camera and whispered in a conspiratorial way. "You have to do this all alone. If I see one of your little league friends then it's buh-bye children! HA! I hope you'll enjoy the little present I left you. Now!..."

A timer replaced the screen. "You have 53 minutes left! It was supposed to be an hour but… oh well! Everyone knows that I don't play fair. So, if I were you, I better get to it! HAHAHAHAHA! See ya then Wonderbabe!"
