Chapter II: Jotoh

LEGEND arrived 25 miles south of the Kanto region to meet a lanky bifocaled man with a sharp and nasally voice. "you could really use a shower and a change of clothes. Why not go to the department store and freshen up" the gangling professor Elm suggested. LEGEND heeds the man's advice and changes his clothes. He is now wearing black jeans, a matching hoodie with green accents, and his black hair is untwisted and resembles a nappy medium length afro; he returns to the pokemon lab to discuss the growing problem Team Universe is becoming. "As you know, this Team Universe gang is getting out of hand" said Professor Elm. "There have been more pokemon disappearances that are causing the town folk to distrust one another" he continues. "The champion of this region might be in cahoots with them. On my way to the department store, I saw my pokemon. They were helpless and looked like they were being forced to commit crime" added LEGEND. "The only way to know is to face the champion and find out" said Professor Elm.

"Well, the Pokemon League have strict rules, so I have to collect the gym badges then" replied LEGEND.

(Current Team: Horsea, Magneton, and Charizard).

LEGEND, Use Curb Stomp

The first gym leader on the list was Faulkner. LEGEND effortlessly defeated the gym lackey's pokemon and literally flew to the top on Charizard's back. "Welcome, challenger! You will be the first to feel the power of my bird pokemon" an irritatingly shrill voiced teen said. "Magneton, play time" LEGEND called out. "Thunderbolt…Thunder wave…Arceus this is boring" said LEGEND as Faulkner's pokemon were zapped into defeat. "My..my BIRD POKEMON" he shrieked. "So…about that badge and TM" LEGEND said impatiently. Faulkner hands over the goods while LEGEND and Charizard go to Bugsy.

On his way out, LEGEND is met with an energetic Eevee. She was hyperactive, cute, and reminded LEGEND of the Ditto that Vaporeon fell in love with. "How adorable . Not today though. I have important work to do" LEGEND dismissed as he made his way forward. "VEE VEE EEEE" she said before tackling him. "Horsea, smokescreen" LEGEND commanded and ran while the pokemon coughed and fled. Upon entering the gym, LEGEND had taken notice of the puzzle and skipped it. "you can't do that," said Bugsy. "I have a Charizard that can burn your pokemon to a crisp" he said bluntly. "Scyther come out". LEGEND sighs "alright. Charizard, wing attack". "BEEDRILL" Bugsy yells as his pokemon is summoned. Charizard and LEGEND looked into each other's eyes and nodded before Beedrill was down and out. "I get the gist. Here's your badge and TM" he said pouting. "Thank you. Nice job, Charizard" LEGEND said before moving on.

LEGEND marched up to Whitney and demanded a battle. "you're on" she replies as Clefairy was summoned. Magneton defeated the pokemon with a super effective Mirror shot attack. "How about teaching your pokemon something else besides Metronome" LEGEND suggested. "Shut up, you meanie and take this" she responded summoning Taurous. "Earthquake" she yelled. Levitating pokemon can't be hit by ground type moves, so Magneton was unharmed. One by one, Whitney's pokemon felt the Thunderbolt of defeat until Miltank came out. Brick Break disposed of Magneton and a lower level Horsea. Charizard used Flamethrower and won the battle with 25 (out of 111) HP left. "Sniffle…WAAAAHHH" she wailed. "Its not fair, I had 6 pokemon and they were supposed to be strong WAAAAAAAH" she continued. "Give her some time. She gets really emotional when losing" an NPC said. "Great, so now I have to baby sit a gym leader" LEGEND laments. "Sniff….I'm not a baby. I'm 14. I'm a big kid" she protested. She hands LEGEND his gym badge after collecting herself. "At this rate, I'll have my pokemon back" LEGEND thought to himself.

Reunion (arc)

"LEGEND, please make your way back to Kanto. We have an urgent situation to take care of" pleaded Professor Oak. Some suspicious looking people were seen at the Safari zone, where LEGEND's Vaporeon lived. The Safari Zone was remodeled into a safe haven for pokemon and had strict security measures. "Take one more step and these pokemon die" a rough neck threatened. "VEEEEE VEEEE" a rambunctious Eevee cried out before using Double Kick on the rough neck. (pokemon normally don't attack humans unless threatened). "I like you, you got spunk" LEGEND says to Eevee. "You just made a big mistake. Rhyhorn, double time" he calls out. "VEE VEEEEEEE" the pokemon cries out. It appeared to want to battle along side LEGEND. The rough neck sent out a Vulpix as well, but Eevee and Horsea were the victors, which caused Horsea to evolve into a Seadra. "Nice pokemon. Mind if I borrow em" the rough neck says throwing a net. The entangled Eevee cries out to LEGEND as she fails to break free. "Golbat, use Haze" the rough neck ordered as he fled.

"The Tattoo on that guy's arm. It said Team Universe" LEGEND noted. "Not them again" he says as he receives a call from Officer Jenny. "The rough neck appears to be a Team Universe grunt. Arcanine and I saw him heading towards the outskirts of Kanto. See you there" she says before hanging up. "Give up now or face severe consequences" Demanded Officer Jenny. "Piss off" he responds and flips her the dirty bird. "Charizard, Flamethrower" called out LEGEND. The rough neck trainer's pokemon intercepted the attack, and a short battle ensued. The grunt was defeated and arrested.

A few hours went by before LEGEND and Officer Jenny Discover that Team Universe had a functioning base in the Johto Region. The piece of paper in the grunt's pocket revealed two locations, one of them being the dilapidated Kanto Game Corner. LEGEND and Jenny explored every nook and cranny, facing junkies, Golbats, and whatever passes for mildew in the pokemon world. The duo eventually found Eevee; she was scared, hungry, and appeared to be stuck in some powerful thread made of "spider" silk. "Ariados. Bug bite" called out a regal sounding male voice. "Golbat, let's see what you can do" said LEGEND summoning his newly acquired pokemon. Sludge Bomb, Sucker Punch, and Bug Bite paled in comparison to Wing Attack, Confuse Ray, Bite, and Steel Wing.

The grunt was arrested, and Eevee was rescued. The next day, LEGEND was greeted with a surprise waiting for him at the Safari Zone. It was Eevee with her Vaporeon mother. The water type took a liking to LEGEND before he realized what was going on. "Vaporeon, its you. Its really you" he says with almost disbelief. "Aww, looks like you and Ditto started a family" he said. "Eevee is energetic and strong, just like her mother" he says petting Vaporeon and her child. "You show a lot of promise. Have you considered becoming a police agent" asked Officer Jenny. "I'll let you handle the justice department" LEGEND responds. "That Eevee sure is strong be sure to look after her, Vaporeon" he says to her. The Eevee hops with vigor and stares at LEGEND with eyes that crave excitement and battle. "huh…you…want to tag along" he suggests. She affirms the suggestion and joins LEGEND's team. LEGEND and Vaporeon enjoy a couple of days playing together before he heads back to Johto to rescue his trade trio.

(Current team: Magneton, Charizard, Seadra,Eevee, Golbat)

It's A Challenger, MMMMorty

LEGEND enters a dark and musty room filled with a sense of uneasiness. "BOOOO" an NPC cried out, which startled LEGEND. "What is your problem, lady" he asks furiously, but the sound of her cackling drowned out his words. He defeats her redundant team of four Gastly(ies?). The room didn't light up. "I get the impression that the room is supposed to light up for some reason" LEGEND notes as he walks. "BOOOYAKASHA" another elderly woman shouts out. "OK, ENOUGH. THIS WILL NOT CONTINUE" LEGEND vehemently protested after summoning Eevee. The cackling woman was defeated, and LEGEND calls out Charizard. "your tail flame will make a great torch" he says. After a few more steps, LEGEND says "don't even try me. I can see your feet". Another elderly medium trainer attempts to scare him.

When it was all said and done, LEGEND finally got to challenge Morty. "Wwwelcome to my gym, gr-gr-grandpa Rick" the inebriated gym leader said. Am I a disappointment to you still, you old bastard" he continued slurring. "Uhh...go Eevee?" LEGEND says completely lost in what was happening. Misdreavus was summoned, but Morty kept telling her to use shadow ball on an EEVEE, which is a NORMAL type pokemon that are immune to GHOST type moves. She took Misdreavus down and faced Morty's last pokemon: Gengar. (Morty only kept two ghost pokemon because using only the Ghastly line is just deplorable). Fearing the worst, Golbat was sent out. "Gengar, use psychic to blaaaaast him to smithereens" commanded Morty. Golbat fainted, but that was the only logical thing Morty did for the rest of the battle. Eevee defeated Gengar using bite and became an Espeon that learned Psybeam. LEGEND takes the badge, TM, and hightailed it out of the gym.

A False Hope

As LEGEND exits the gym, he spots two men loading a giant black crate into a truck. Just as the men got into the truck to pull off, a massive hole appeared. "Machamp" the pokemon cried out. It turned its gaze towards LEGEND, and it rushes to him. "Golbat, front and center" he called out. Machamp grabs LEGEND and hugs him a little too tightly. "this pokemon is not yours, so give it back" demanded a male voice. "Back off" replied LEGEND. "Have it your way. Weezing, Show them whose boss" the man with purple hair said. the pokemon used self-destruct. Machamp tosses LEGEND out of harm's way and faints from the attack. The man using Weezing returned Machamp to a strange looking pokeball. "Not so fast, Charizard, Flamethrower on the truck" Called LEGEND. The truck was burnt to a crisp, and the black crate had become damaged. Dozens of pokemon fled capture and turned to the purple haired man they all fire an attack at him, but he couldn't escape. He blasted off into the sky. "Nice work" said Officer Jenny. "Sorry I couldn't make it in time" she says. "I was so close to getting my pokemon back" LEGEND says through gritted teeth. "Several pokemon trainers will be reunited with their pokemon soon, if it makes you feel better" she said. It didn't make him feel better. "I'll go to the next gym, get stronger, and get my pokemon back" LEGEND said with conviction. "sin" a tiny voice echoed from the destroyed crate. A cute yet emaciated fire mouse pokemon crawled its way out. "Cynda…..quil" it said weakly. It locked eyes with LEGEND before fainting. "This pokemon needs emergency care. LEGEND, take this pokemon to Nurse Joy. I still have to reunite some pokemon with their trainers" she commanded. He obeys.

"This pokemon hasn't eaten in what looks like days" says Nurse Joy. The pokemon was struggling to breathe, its flames were dull, and the pokemon shed a single tear, fearing the worse. "Cyndaquil. You poor thing. Hang in there" She encouraged. LEGEND is filled with pity and frustration. "This Team Universe. Have they no limits on what they'll do to get what they want" he says. "I have to train my pokemon. Charizard can help strengthen Cyndaquil's flame" he suggested. 45 minutes go by, and LEGEND is met with good news. "The pokemon is going to be fine. It has been fed, Charizard helped its fire, and it'll be good to go in a day or so" she chimed happily. "Unfortunately, we don't know where its trainer is. My guess is it either doesn't have one, or it abandoned Cyndaquil" she said somberly. LEGEND and Cyndaquil looked at each other. "I could take it with me" he says quietly. "QUI…QUI" the pokemon hops with excitement. "Then its settled, welcome to Team LEGEND" he says heartily.

(current team: Magneton, Charizard, Seadra, Golbat, Espeon, Cyndaquil)

Cyndaquil's Tale

Over the next month, LEGEND made changes to his team, trained them to an even level, and prepared himself to face Team Universe after he got all of the gym badges. He discovered that Cyndaquil did have a trainer. Why it abandoned Cyndaquil was never discovered, but the pokemon suffered because of it. Cyndaquil had become a timid pokemon that had trust issues with other trainers and pokemon. To alleviate this, LEGEND paired it with Charizard. The two fire types would develop a student teacher relationship. Over time, Cyndaquil would become healthy and normal again. It also developed a quirk where it would hop in the air and flail its nubs and feet as if it were imitating Charizard's ability to fly.

LEGEND arrived at Jasmine's Gym, but she wasn't there. "Yeah, she's at the lighthouse" a NPC said. LEGEND sighs and flies to the lighthouse. "oh, Amphy, OH AMPHY" she cries out from inside a room. "Oh Arceus is she doing what I think she's doing? That's really gross. I know people and pokemon did things with each other long ago, but ew, that's gross" he internally monologues. "To hell with her lovemaking, I need that gym badge" he says before busting into the room. "Amphy….I'll get you back to health sooner or later…please hang in there" she says sadly. "Sooooo I guess that's a no on the gym battle then" LEGEND says sheepishly. "Ampharos is sick and needs medicine. I won't battle anyone until its feeling better" she protested. LEGEND took note of the fact that she is fully clothed and neat looking. "So she wasn't trying to make a human pokemon hybrid baby. Heh heh…" he thought.

"there is a special medicine that-" "OH MY ARCEUS not this filler Bouffalant crap" LEGEND exclaims. "sigh…there's a special medicine on Cinnabar island or some dumb location where I have to retrieve the medicine give it to you so you can give it to Ampharos. I'll be back" he says and he flies out of the light house window. "I guess we're alone again, Amphy" said Jasmine…she and the pokemon resume their love making. Moments later, LEGEND returns empty handed. "Where the heck is that stupid medicine" LEGEND asks furiously. "if you would've let me finish, I was going to say that I have the last box of it. At the gym. I was going to ask you to watch Amphy while I get it. The only reason I left it there was because I forgot it". She explains. "So does that mean we can battle now" he asked exasperatedly. "I mean. I guess" she replies. "…I'm going to enjoy curb stomping you FAAAAAAR more than I should" he said.

(current team: Kingdra, Cyndaquil, Golbat, Steelix, Espeon, Charizard)

Power Trip

Jasmine sent out Steelix right out the gate and told it to use Stealth Rock. "You better keep Charizard in battle, otherwise those rock will clip its wings" she sadistically taunted. Flamethrower took out Steelix which caused Charizard to learn Fire blast after leveling up. Her Magneton came out and paralyzed Charizard with Thunder wave. "Stupid low accuracy Fire blast" lamented LEGEND as Charizard went down for the count, thanks to Thunder. Cyndaquil popped out of its pokeball as if it wanted to avenge Charizard. Magneton and Forretress fell to Cyndaquil's fire type moves. The fire mouse pokemon evolved into Quilava. The pokemon confidently took out Jasmine's last pokemon and secured the victory for LEGEND.

Quilava became a handful shortly after defeating Jasmine's pokemon. Any time Charizard was selected for battle, Quilava popped out instead. During their double battle training, Quilava wouldn't share the spotlight. It disobeyed LEGEND's commands, attacked teammates, and became argumentative with them, especially Charizard. LEGEND had spent two months trying to resolve the issue, only to have little to moderate success. Worst of all, Quilava was not even that strong. Magneton, Kingdra, and Espeon almost always one hit K.O'd it every time they had sparring matches. Despite all of this, the two fire types can and have gotten along every now and again.

Fuego Flu (arc lasted 4 days in universe)

"Stop right there" a hiker said. "I want to battle you for glory" she said. The battle began with Quilava vs Noctowl. "Use Fire Spin" LEGEND called out. The move landed, but Quilava seemed a bit winded after using it. Psychic did enough damage to activate Quilava's Blaze. Flame wheel took out Noctowl, but Quilava fainted, too. "Flame wheel doesn't cause recoil damage" LEGEND noted as Quilava laid on the ground breathing heavily. "Charizard popped out of its pokeball and panted heavily . "Charizard…Quilava, what's going on" LEGEND asked with concern. LEGEND summoned the rest of his team, but they were fine. Knowing something was off, he rushes to the nearest pokemon center.

"I'm afraid its Fuego Flu" says Nurse Joy. "It's an illness only contagious to fire type pokemon. If left untreated, the illness can become fatal" she adds. Charizard and Quilava look at LEGEND with eyes desperate for relief; their flames are sporadically hot and dangerous or low and warm. "There's a cave near Cianwood City. It has special coals for pokemon suffering from Fuego Flu" She said while dodging the fire coming from LEGEND'S pokemon. "Espeon…Kingdra… keep any eye out on Charizard and Quilava's flames" LEGEND commanded. Kingdra is a water/dragon pokemon, so it had a quad resistance to fire. Espeon's psychic powers could contain the fire if it got too out of control. "I'll be back as fast as possible, so don't worry" he says petting his pokemon before leaving. (Current team: Steelix, Golbat, and Magneton)

Near the outskirts of route 47, LEGEND ran into a familiar fashion statement. "You're interfering with important business" the man said. "Leave the area or face the consequences" he added while clutching a pokeball. "Have it your way. Golbat, come out" called LEGEND. "Houndoom,Umbreon, show em whose boss" the grunt responded. LEGEND's pokemon were defeated, but the grunt didn't stop there. "Chow time" the Team Universe sadistically said. Before LEGEND could become dog food, a Hitmonlee sprang into action while a Hitmonchan followed suit. The Dark type pokemon were quickly defeated, and the grunt fled. "There's no need to thank me" the burly shirtless man with the bristly mustache said triumphantly. The two trainers began talking about their reason for being on route 47. "So you need these coals, too? Then we shall work together to heal our ailing pokemon" he says with a hearty chuckle. By the way, the name's Chuck; I am a gym leader, but I can't accept challenges because of my Heracross." LEGEND corrected Chuck "Heracross isn't a fire type". "Mine is" Chuck replies implying it was a secret.

Quilava and Charizard were battling the Fuego Flu as best as they could. Charizard was in poorer shape than Quilava. Charizard's tail flame struggled to burn hot enough to sustain life, while Quilava was occasionally coughing up smoke. When the flames on either pokemon got too hot, Kingdra would use Bubblebeam to balance the heat. Espeon protected the pokemon center room from being burnt to a crisp with her psychic powers. As the fire types fought for their lives, Charizard kept encouraging Quilava not to give up. Quilava would in turn help Charizard keep its tail lit by coughing the smoke on its tail.

LEGEND and Chuck finally arrived at the cave of healing. It was a beautifully lit cave that reflected many colors of the various gems and coals that were found there. The cave itself was simple yet spacious, as if it were literally a massive rock that had been hollowed out. "So this is the cave of healing. It sure is purty" noted Chuck. The duo found a small pile of smoky black coals that were the size of pokeballs; they were dry, frigid, and oddly smooth to the touch. "This ought to be enough" said Chuck as He and LEGEND helped themselves to a few coals from the pile. Suddenly, a massive burst of flame hit LEGEND and Chuck. The two mildly burned trainers found themselves eyeing a Houndoom, Arcanine, Ninetails, Flareon, Magmar, and Rapidash. The pokemon attempted to incinerate LEGEND and Chuck without success. "We didn't mean to steal from you. We just needed to borrow a few coals" LEGEND pleaded with the pokemon unsuccessfully. "looks like they aren't open to reason. That means we have to battle them" Chuck said holding a Great Ball. "So be it" LEGEND remarks with a stern look on his face.

Back at the pokemon center, Charizard's tail flame was too low, which indicated its health being in critical condition. It didn't think it was going to survive, so it kept giving its food to Quilava. Quilava became remorseful of its argumentative and egotistical behavior. From that moment on, Quilava vowed to be a better teammate and began shooting fire on Charizard's tail. It was a temporary yet effective for short periods of time. The two fire type pokemon began rekindling the relationship they had.

At the cave of healing, LEGEND and Chuck engaged in a fierce battle against the fire type pokemon. LEGEND's steel type pokemon were at a disadvantage, but their high level gave them the ability to hold their own. LEGEND's pokemon took out Flareon, Magmar, and Rapidash, while Chuck was going all out on Ninetails. Chuck's Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, and Hitmontop were down for the count. Arcanine and LEGEND's Golbat were the only pokemon left. The Arcanine appeared to use Thunder Fang, but Golbat avoided and countered with poison fang, which caused Arcanine to become poisoned. Golbat survived the Thunder Fang attack with yellow hp, landed Wing Attack, and knocked out Arcanine. Golbat then evolves into Crobat. The newly evolved bat pokemon explained the situation to the other pokemon, and they stand aside. LEGEND and Chuck continued to help themselves to the coals, bid farewell to the fire type pokemon, and made their way back to Cianwood City.

An hour later, LEGEND arrived and healed his pokemon. The coals balanced their internal heat structure and restored their flames, thus curing them of the Fuego Flu. The healed pokemon were too weak to travel and battle. Charizard needed substantial rest, so LEGEND deposited it into the PC box. Quilava wanted to make good on its promise, so it wanted to be deposited alongside Charizard. LEGEND treats the rest of his pokemon to a special dinner, and take a short break from their journey.

(Current team: Crobat, Magneton, Espeon, Steelix, and Kingdra)

The Flaming Heracross

"The way you handled yourself back there was impressive, but this is where the camaraderie ends. Now I will face you as a gym leader, so PREPARE YOURSELF….KIYAH" Chuck says. Steelix was first; it landed Toxic and survived fire punch from Hitmonchan. "I made sure to train my steel types specifically for you" LEGEND taunted. "That's what I want to see. Show me your power" Chuck responded. Toxic, Fire Fang, Dig, and Iron Tail were used well, but both pokemon took each other out. Hitmonlee Blaze Kicked Magneton; Thunder Wave was useless because of Hitmonlee's Limber ability. Crobat was able to pick apart Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan like they were nothing , but it had 34hp left (out of 23). Chuck held an ultra ball and smirked. "Heracross, show em your burning passion" he said. LEGEND stood there bewildered by what he saw. It was a Heracross, but it wasn't shiny. It looked like a Heracross, but its horn had flame pattern, its body was orange, it was a foot taller than normal, and it appeared to have a small fiery tail. "I told you my Heracross was special" gloated Chuck. "Beetle Blaze" he called out. Heracross was engulfed in flames and charged at Crobat, knocking it out. Heracross was then shrouded in a fiery aura that lingered for more than one turn. "Espeon, its up to you" LEGEND called out. Psybeam did remarkable damage, but it wasn't enough. Beetle Blaze ravaged Espeon leaving it hanging on by the skin of its teeth. Heracross dodged Psybeam, and Seismic Toss took out Espeon. A weakened Heracross stood and faced LEGEND's last pokemon: Kingdra. Beetle blaze's aura effect amplified its weakness to water moves, unbeknownst to LEGEND. Either way, he wins the battle and earns himself another gym badge.

A Glitch In The System

Legend walks out of Pryce's Gym with his new gym badge because fire, steel, and water type pokemon and ice type gym leaders don't mix. "Alright, Time for some training" LEGEND says before a deformed pokemon appeared in the tall grass. It looked like a Porygon but different. It was blue, misshapen, about a foot smaller than a normal one, and its body appeared to be comprised of circles. "Please...help…" it said in a statically robotic voice. "STEP AWAY FROM THE POKEMON" a demanding male voice called out. Team Universe; what were they doing now? The deformed pokemon hid behind LEGEND. "Have it your way. Arcanine, show them what real fear looks like" the man said hopping off of his pokemon. LEGEND summoned Kingdra and won the battle. The Team Universe grunt called for backup, but was ordered not to waste anymore time on LEGEND and fled. "Thank you. I am Psygon. I am a failed experiment of those awful men" it said.

Psygon explained that it was a regular pokemon that was caught and experimented on. Team Universe tried to alter its dna to produce stronger and rarer pokemon through artificial means. Many of the other test subjects didn't survive; out of the few that did, only two were deemed successful. The unsuccessful ones were taken to a near by room never to be seen again. The only reason Psygon was able to escape was because it used its now psychic typing to its advantage. "I would be grateful if I could travel with you" the glitchmon asked. Glitchmon is a term used to describe Pysgon's kind. LEGEND accepts and is caught by LEGEND. "This is one heck of a birthday present" he thought. (he's 22 now)

(current team: Crobat, Magneton, Espeon, Steelix, Kingdra, and Psygon. Charizard and Quilava are in the pc storage system)

Glitchmon

LEGEND was able to use Psygon in battle as a regular pokemon. However, it must disguise itself. If LEGEND used it as is, then other trainers may want a glitchmon, and some may go through illegal and amoral means to get one.

As mentioned earlier, glitchmon were failed experiments that Team Universe produced. Their abilities, typing, moves, and appearance can be altered. Glitchmon still think and behave like regular pokemon to an extent, but they can't be deposited into a trainer's PC box due to their corrupted DNA. Many of them die or reset themselves, but how and why is currently unknown. it took some time for LEGEND to get used to Psygon's being, but he got the hang of it.

Psygon's moves were:

Digit Pulse. (Accuracy 100, power 70, 10pp, special, The user blasts the opponent with digital waves.)

Psyhorn( Accuracy 100, power 100, 5pp, physical, the user attacks with a horn coated in psychic energy; 25% chance to flinch)

Recover

Grab Bag (50 Accuracy, 10pp, status, the user randomly afflicts poison, burn, ...to the opponent)

Ability: No Touch: the foe's physical contact moves do not land (body slam, iron tail, ect are ineffective, but rock slide, liquidation, earthquake, ect will land)

I Declair War…

Clair's gym was the only one left on LEGEND's quest to face the girl who stole his trade trio. Clair was an arrogant 18 year old know it all who flaunted her abilities to everyone she met. "Look, that's nice and all, but I'm just here for a gym badge" LEGEND said. "Do not address me in such a sarcastic manner" she demanded. "Address me like you would a seasoned gym leader or see your way out" she continued. "I'm sorry, your majesty. A lowly peasant don't know no better when faced with royal beauty" he mocked. "That's it. Screw you and your gym badge. Remove yourself or I'll have you escorted off the premises" she ordered.

Lance and LEGEND (literally) bumped into each other. "Are you reading porn in public now" asked LEGEND who noticed Lance's new book. "uh...err. Let me guess. Clair's being a cunt again" asked Lance. "Every time with her" he mumbles to himself as he entered her gym. What seems like an hour passed before he reappeared. "she's good now" he says quietly with a look of shame on his face.

LEGEND entered the gym while noticing the smell of rubber and sweat. "Nope. Not even worth the trouble " he says. "Well, hurry. Let's get to it" she rushed. Both sent out their Kingdra, but Clair's was superior. Magneton landed Thunder Wave and Thunder. Dragon Breath paralyzed Magneton, and Dragon rage almost took out Magneton. Thunder missed but Kingdra's paralysis kept Clair's Kingdra immobile before Thunder ended it. Dragonite was left; Brick Break took out Magneton. Steelix was next, but earthquake was a one hit KO. Psygon was called out. "Ew, what is that weird duck thing" she asked in disgust. "I may. Not. Be human. But I do. Have feelings." is said robotically. "IT CAN TALK...focus, Claire" she said. Dragon Claw and Fly failed to hit while Psygon's Grab Bag move missed. "Get it together, Psygon. USE GRAB BAG" LEGEND encouraged with desperation, and the move landed' "Foe's Dragonite became paralyzed" the text box appeared. "No fair, that's cheating" Clair protested. " Take this. EARTHQUAKE" Claire said with fire in her eyes. Psygon had low HP, but Psyhorn got him a victory.

"Well done, Psygon" LEGEND praised, as Psygon began to glow. It appeared to evolved, but its did so in a glitchy and spastic way. "Congratulations, you're fnf3oi4ng9q evolved into gngn43njren" the text box said. The newly evolved Glitchmon learned a new move and fell to the ground twitching. (The new move was called "Gamble" accuracy-, power- 20pp, status, the user lowers its defense stat to sharply raise its attack and special attack stat.) "Psygon, what's wrong" LEGEND asked. "My evolution...its killing me" it said in a refined female voice. I can't be saved. It used Recover and was back at full hp. "I'm fine ...for now, don't worry" it said.

"Ahem, I believe you're forgetting something" LEGEND says. "mmmmrrrg. Fine. Here" she reluctantly hands LEGEND the Dragon Claw TM and gym badge. LEGEND shakes with adrenaline. "My pokemon. I'm coming for you" he said as he makes his way to the Pokemon League he says before changing up his team.

Will. .Not

"Thanks for coming to me, mmmmm" said Will in a low seductive tone. "Uuuhhhh" LEGEND stammers. "Mmmm now that you are in my sight, my pokemon will" he is interrupted. "Nnnope. Not today" LEGEND said as Psygon was called out. It looked back at LEGEND with uncertainty and worry. "Xatu, I choose you, mmmmmm" said will. LEGEND shudders and the battle begins. Xatu, being the pokemon it is (fragile and borderline useless), fell to Psygon's Gamble, Psyhorn, and Digit pulse. Slowbro put Psygon at red hp, and it began to panic. LEGEND swapped it out and used Espeon. She then massacred the rest of Will's team with Shadow Ball. The battle ended, and Psygon used recover to heal itself.

(current team: Quilava, Charizard, Steelix, Kingdra, Psygon, Espeon)

Safe Word

As LEGEND walked up the stairs to Karen's room, he hears the yelping sound of a pokemon and a faint smack. "SAY IT" he hears her say. HE entered a dimly lit room that smelled like latex. Standing before him was Karen in a leather bodysuit. . She was about middle age but passable in looks. She had a pokeball in one hand and a whip in another. "Hmmm, so I get to play with you she says circling him and analyzing him. "What do you think, Houndoom" she asks. Houndoom sits there panting and barks happily while ignoring the throbbing red marks on its back. (do dog pokemon bark?) "I don't have time for this" said LEGEND. "The safe word is bone" she whispers playfully in his ear.

The Houndoom was up against LEGEND's Kingdra. Houndoom missed Fire Blast, but Kingdra missed Hydro Pump. "you MISSED" she said angrily. She Cracks Houndoom with her whip, and the pokemon cries out in joyful agony. "Arceus Genesect, lady" LEGEND said taken aback by what he saw. "GET it right or I'll hit you again" she tells Houndoom with a growl. Houndoom landed a Dark Pulse attack that flinched Kingdra. Houndoom then ignored Karen's order to use Dark Pulse. "So be it then, you NAUGHTY BOY" she she says whipping Houndoom, who seemed to enjoy it way too much. LEGEND used the distraction to KO. Houndoom with hydro pump.

Umbreon was next. Toxic missed, but Hydro Pump didn't. "YOU MISSED?! GET IT RIGHT!" Karen yells at Umbreon, which enjoyed the verbal aggression. Toxic landed, and Kingdra fainted from the poison. "This is getting weird" LEGEND said as Steelix came out. Steelix used Toxic; Umbreon was hit, but Synchronize was useless. Steelix took out Umbreon, and Murkrow. "WORTHLESS" she yelled at them, but they hum with glee. "Get me out, I want out, let me out of here" LEGEND muttered to himself. Sneasel was last up. Brick Break took out Steelix. Sneasel turned to Karen, but she ignored it. "You don't get rewarded for doing you job" She tells the pokemon. Quilava was next. Sneasel was too fast and almost dropped Quilava with Quick Attack and Faint. Blaze boosted Lava Plume ended Sneseal, giving LEGEND the W. Despite his victory, the door was still locked. "I won. Let me out of here" he demanded. "Whatever you say big daddy" she says.

LEGEND made his way onward as a chill races down his spine.

JANINE

LEGEND walks into the next room. He notices Janine twerking and listening to music from her headphones. "Her booty isnt much, but she's working that thing" he comments to himself. She disappears into a cloud of smoke. "I've caught you red handed, you pervert" she says behind him. "Don't flatter yourself" LEGEND respond. "Now are you going to battle me or what" he impatiently asks. "Hmp, I'll show you how to have some patience and decency" she says while summoning Weezing and Venomoth. "That's more like it" he says with Steelix and Espeon summoned. Her pokemon knew toxic and double team. Espeon scored a lucky hit on Weezing, and Venomoth fell to Iron Tail. Tentacruel was next. It's special defense made Espeon's Psychic attack seem like a joke. Steelix fainted, so Kingdra was up. When Weezing's health got low, it used Explosion, which took out every pokemon on the field. Charizard and Quilava faced Gengar and Qwilfish. Both fire tyes attacked Gengar with Flamethrower, but it survived with low hp. Qwifish alsmost took out Charizard with a critical Hydro Pump. "Quilava, hop on Charizard's back" LEGEND commanded. They were high in the air, but so was Gengar. "Thunder Punch" Janine ordered. Quilava intercepted the attack to protect Charizard. Quilava falls, and Qwilfish used Poison Tail. With both fire type pokemon powered up by blaze, they finish off the poison types, giving LEGEND the win. Quilava tried to delay its evolution, but Charizard "spoke" to it. Quilava became Typhlosion. The two pokemon talk for a bit before LEGEND moves on. (Quilava refused to evolve until it had made amends with Charizard).

Lancealot

LEGEND arrived to see a familiar face reading another adult novel. "Reading porno books again" LEGEND teased. "Wait...You're the Champion of Jotoh" he asked. "Yes" Lance replies. "Then who's the Kanto champion"?

"Some mute kid in a red hat" he answered. A moment of silence passes before LEGEND asked Lance " So did you and Clair bang each other or…"? Lance began to sweat. "Aren't y'all cousins or something" he continued. "Enoughtalkplayepicjotohchampiontheme" Lance says rapidly. "I'm not the same guy you defeated in Kanto. I'm stronger this time" Lance said calling out Dragonite. Steelix was summoned. Earthquake activated Sturdy, and Steelix missed Rockslide and fainted to Dragon Claw. Espeon's Psychic did good damage, but Dragon Claw was too much to handle. Charizard came out, flew into the air to avoid Dragonite's attacks, and finished it off with Flamethrower. "Figures" Lance said eyeing the camera. Kingdra was his last pokemon, but it was 18 levels higher than Steelix, which was LEGEND's highest level pokemon. "So you're a dragon master now" LEGEND noted. Dragon Breath, Hydro Pump, swift, and smokescreen took out LEGEND's pokemon except Psygon. Kingdra had low hp. It landed it last Hydro Pump and almost took out Psygon. Psygon panicked, but LEGEND calmed it down and told it to use Psy Horn. Kingdra faints, and Psygon used recover at the end of battle. LEGEND becomes the new Johto Champion.

(current team: Charizard, Kingdra, Steelix, Psygon, Espeon, Typhlosion)

Trade Trio Reunion

LEGEND got to enjoy his status as champion for eight days before a familiar face resurfaced. It was the woman with long red hair, cherry lipstick, and the Team Universe uniform. ( Jessie never gave her name to LEGEND, so he doesn't know it.) "You've got some nerve to come here" LEGEND says with hostility. "Is that how you talk to a lady" she says facetiously. " Machamp, Show this twerp how to be a gentleman" she says with a devious smirk. Machamp was summoned, but it hesitated to attack LEGEND. "Machamp" LEGEND says quietly. The two stare at each other for a moment. "Fine, hard way it is" she says as the collar on Machamp's neck whirrs. A sad look falls on its face before Machamp was encased in a Red and purple aura. Its eyes became lifeless, its color changed into a black color with white spots, and, its body became even more muscular. "Attack the twerp, NOW" she demanded. Espeon's Psychic attack did no damage as Machamp attacked with Cross Chop. "Psychic is super effective on fighting types, yet Machamp took no damage" LEGEND said out loud. "Use Dark Strike" she commanded. Machamp was shrouded in a black mist before it attacked. Espeon fainted. Charizard used Fly which was super effective. "You turned Machamp into a dark/fighting type" LEGEND said with disdain. "Maybe" She responds. Fly took out Machamp, so she summoned Alakazam. This pokemon had grey skin, its whiskers appeared bug like, it was holding sticks, and its eyes were lifeless. "Let me guess. bug psychic" LEGEND said before he told Charizard to use Flamethrower. It failed to land, but Nest Blast didn't Charizard was swarmed with bee-like powder that did chip damage. Fly landed, but it wasn't super effective. Charizard fainted. "Bug steel" LEGEND said to himself. Typlosion decimated Alakazam with Flamethrower. Gengar was last. It was orange, spiky, and had one giant eye. "Fire something" as LEGEND swapped Typhlosion for Kingdra. He was right.

LEGEND had defeated his modified Trade trio. Jessie attempted to attack LEGEND, but Psygon interfered and badly injured her with Digit Pulse. She hopped on Dragonite that didn't battle and flew away. Psygon used its powers to steal LEGEND's pokemon back without her noticing. Legend recaptured his old pokemon, but something was wrong. They looked sickly and fragile. "They. Will not survive as. Pokemon" Psygon's robotic female voice said. "If they battle again. They will die. Their DNA. Is corrupted." it continued. "How do you know this" LEGEND asked in disbelief. " how. I was made." it responded. Psygon went on to explain that the collars had corrupted the trade trio to the point that fainting was no longer a game mechanic that applied to them. If they fainted in battle, they died. It also explained why Psygon was so skittish in battle. Psygon lost its fainting mechanic when it evolved, and it was slowly dying. "I have two days left before my entire being is corrupted" it said. I want to use my last bit of life to free your pokemon. They will. Not . Remember you, but they'll be. Able to live as regular pokemon again. "I'll recapture them again then" LEGEND said. "No. They. Will no longer be compatible with pokeballs. They. Technically won't be ." LEGEND looked into the lifeless eyes of his trade trio. He heavily sighs and decides to let them be free. Psygon told LEGEND that it can use its life energy to disable the collars, and give the trade trio another chance at life, and he agrees to it. Psygon becomes a plasma like creature, entered the trade trio's bodies, and removes the collars. They jump through the hole in the wall and leave. LEGEND watches them walk away before there was nothing left to see. He is disappointed, but he's happy his pokemon can be free to live as they wish.

Timeskip...Again

Ok, two years should qualify as a time skip. LEGEND, now 24 spent his time traveling between Kanto and Jotoh as the champion of both regions. (He beat Red, but he didn't know he could be campion of more than one region). Espeon left the team to live in Kanto's upgraded Safari Zone with her parents Ditto and Vaporeon.

As kanto Champion, LEGEND made a hefty salary off of his victories from challenger. Professor oak became a head researcher, Officer Jenny is now Chief Jenny, and Blue is a Pokemon teacher. Team Universe was scattered here and there, but they weren't on anyone's radar. In Jotoh, Team Universe was more prominent which caused LEGEND to become more active in stopping their plans (which were never revealed to the public). He hooks up with Clair every now and again, but they're incompatible dating wise. LEGEND grew bored of being Champion. His pokemon were almost one hit ko'ing every challenger's pokemon. The money, sex, and recognition started to get boring to him; he was craving a new start. So, he loses his titles as champion, changes his team, and heads to the Hoenn region to start a new life for himself.
