"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"exclaimed Jaune at the top of his lungs as he fell a few dozen feet into a really big bush.
"Sorry."said Mew as he flew close to Jaune." I forgot that you can't fly."
"I don't exactly have psychic powers to help me fly around."said Jaune as he spat some leaves out of his mouth.
Jaune then preceded to get out of the bush and dust himself off as other than a few leaves on his clothes he was otherwise fine. As Jaune finished dusting himself off, he looked around and was marveled by the scenery before him.
All as far as his eyes could see was a tropical tropical Paradise filled with palm trees, the greenest grass, and the freshest air he has ever breathed, salty fresh air..."Hmmmmm...ahhhh..."
"This place feels so peaceful as there's not a wall to protect humanity from Grimm anywhere near here."said Jaune, as no matter how far he looked he couldn't see a wall of any kind.
"Are you talking about those dark creatures that tried to attack you in the Emerald Forest."said Mew, as Jaune looked at the new species Pokemon with a shocked look.
"What do you mean?!"asked Jaune, as he didn't remember being attacked by any Grimm.
"Well they were going to sneak behind you and attack you but I defeated them all. The weird thing is that when I defeated them they started releasing smoke."said Mew, wondering what the smoke was all about.
Jaune couldn't believe that this small adorable creature could defeated any Grimm, much less by himself! Just how powerful was he?! Was he one of those all powerful creatures that reside in a cute fluffy body.
"Well, either way you won't find any creatures like that on this planet. Only humans and Pokemon."said Mew, pointing to a few Pokemon that look like woodpeckers to Jaune.
"Those are Pikipek, just one species of the many Pokemon that call Melemele Island their home."said Mew, as Jaune looked around and sure enough there was a bunch of Pokemon roaming about without a care in the world, at least he believed they were pokémon.
He saw some bug like Pokemon that look like grubs with powerful looking pincers.
He saw another Pokemon that sort of looked like a crab that had boxing gloves for pincers.
And he also saw a bird Pokemon that kind of reminded him of a cheerleader.
Jaune was amazed by all these different kinds of creatures as they were so cute, but if there were anything like Mew, he knew that meant they were powerful.
"These are just some of the many kinds of Pokemon that call Alola their home."explained Mew as he flew around Jaune.
"These creatures are so much better than Grimm in every way. Their probably more powerful but I'm glad they're on humanity's side."said Jaune, as he was glad that these creatures seem to completely ignore his existence instead of downright attacking him for no good reason.
"Well there's no such thing as a perfect society. Like any society there are bad guys and jerks. Some pokémon are straight out jerks. Take Spearow, the tiny Bird Pokemon. Most of that species are straight out jerks that attack Pokemon and trainers for no good reasons."said Mew, as Jaune wondered what a Spearow even was.
"Well, take these Jaune Arc, you are going to need them."said Mew as he handed Jaune two items.
A card and some kind of cube.
"What's this?"asked Jaune, wondering what these items were.
"The card is filled with poke dollars, the currency that is used in this world. You are going to need that card if you want to buy food and other essential items on your journey. So I highly suggest you make damn sure you don't ever lose it."said Mew, as Jaune looked over what was basically a debit card.
"The second item is a storage cube. It's a special device that uses the same technology as pokeballs to allow you to store a lot of items on your person without being affected by their weight. So you can bring things like a whole bunch of food and maybe even a bike and not even be affected by the weight at all."said Mew, as Jaune could certainly see the advantages of having this storage cube.
"Thanks, Mew. I will make sure not to lose these."said Jaune, as he figured he would be a goner without any of these items, especially the debit card.
"It is my pleasure. Now I have to get going as I have to go meet a friend for a playdate. See you Jaune, and try to behave yourself so Tapu Koko doesn't get mad at you. He's the legendary Pokemon that protects this island."said Mew, before Jaune grabbed him by his tail.
"Wait!" shouted Jaune, as Mew freed himself..
"What?"asked the new species Pokemon.
"How exactly am I going to get a Pokemon in the first place?"asked Jaune, as he couldn't exactly get a Pokemon with his own two hands alone.
"Oh, sorry. I sometimes forget the important details. Well the fastest way to get a Pokemon here on Melemele Island is to talk to the kahuna of Melemele Island."said Mew, as Jaune just gave the new species Pokemon a confused look.
"And what is a kahuna?"asked Jaune, as again that's the first time he has ever heard that word.
"Oh, a kahuna is basically the strongest trainer on the island. They are the representatives of the legendary Pokemon that protect all four islands that make up the Alola archipelago. And the kahuna of Melemele Island is a kind soul who will give any nice aspiring Pokemon trainer of Pokemon if they just ask."said Mew, as Jaune could certainly see this working.
"And what does this kahuna look like?"asked Jaune.
"He looks like a kahuna."responded Mew.
"Again, I'm going to need more details than that "said Jaune, as he couldn't find someone who look like a kahuna if he didn't know what a kahuna even was in the first place.
"Well... he looks like a sumo wrestler!"said Mew, as Jaune could certainly work like that as sumo wrestlers stand out like a sore thumb.
"Okay, I can work with that "said Jaune, even though he was sure Mew was off with his information just a tiny bit...
"Well, if that's all you needed I'm going to go now."said Mew, as Jaune once again grabbed him by his tail.
"Sorry, but can you let my friends know that I'm okay so they don't worry."said Jaune, as although he was angry with some of his friends for stupid reasons on his part, he knew better than to let them worry as he knew they didn't deserve that, especially Ruby and Pyrrha.
"Okay, I can do that. Now can I go?"asked Mew, as Jaune nodded his head.
"Good."said Mew before he teleported away.
"Okay, Jaune. The first thing you need to do is find a way to get back to civilization. Now where exactly is civilization...I should have asked Mew for directions."said Jaune, realizing he should have kept the new species Pokemon around longer or at the very least had Mew teleport him to civilization.
"Well, you're not dealing with Grimm so you should be okay... I think."said Jaune, as he began listening in soon her the sound of a waterfall.
"Where there is a waterfall there has to be people."said Jaune, as waterfalls were full of places people could be.
From kids playing around the waterfall to workers of a power plant that's may be attached to the waterfall
Either way, that was a good place to start.
"I just hope I can find someone who can take me to civilization so I can find the island kahuna. Now what am I going to tell this guy, "Hey I'm from another world so can I please have a Pokemon?". No...That would never work in a million years."said Jaune, realizing he would sound crazy if he said that to the island kahuna.
"I think the best option right now is to pretend I'm some kid who got off some plane and I'm just here on vacation. That is technically the truth so I wouldn't be lying "said Jaune, justifying his actions for when he spoke to the kahuna of Melemele Island.
"Now, I think I see a bridge so maybe there's people on the other side."said Jaune, before he noticed someone approaching the bridge.
That someone was a girl about Ruby's age with long blonde hair wearing a white sleeveless sundress with a white sun hat. She also had a red and white duffel bag that appeared to be moving in soon a creature that sort of looked like it was made out of space energy came out of the duffel bag and headed to the middle of the bridge.
The girl meanwhile was about to fall from being pulled, so Jaune being the gentleman that he was quickly ran over and caught her before she could fall.
"Up you go."said Jaune, noticing the girls deep green eyes.
'They're just like Pyrrha's.' thought Jaune, before hearing some noise going on on the bridge.
As Jaune looked over he saw three sparrow like Pokemon approaching the cosmic energy looking Pokemon at extreme speed and soon out of nowhere began attacking it by deliberately pecking at it while flying around it in a circle.
"Nebby!"said the girl with worry, but she did not move from where she stood.
That is when she turned to face Jaune.
"Please help...Save Nebby... I would do it myself...But I'm just so scared, I can't even move my legs..."said the girl, as Jaune noticed that the girl was shaking in her boots so badly that it was no wonder she couldn't move
Jaune looked over at the rickety bridge and wondered if he should go and help the creature before he noticed one of the sparrow like Pokemon attacking it again and he decided to make up his mind then and there!
"Okay!"said Jaune as he began making his way across the bridge as fast and as carefully as he could as the bridge did not look stable.
As Jaune was making his way over to the space energy like Pokemon aka Nebby, he felt the bridge getting rickety from all the motion going on at once! Jaune knew that he had to hurry as at any moment the bridge could give out and both of them would end up falling to the river below!
Soon Jaune arrived near Nebby and quickly put himself on top of the poor pokémon as he neither had his sword nor shield to scare off the sparrow like Pokemon. As Jaune use this body like a makeshift shield he felt his back getting struck and packed multiple times by the sparrow like Pokemon.
Nebby meanwhile was shaking before energy began to release from its body and soon the entire bridge collapsed beneath him and Jaune!
Jaune grabbed Nebby and prepared to feel a lot of pain when out of nowhere he saw a strange creature that looked like it had a tiki mask for hands knock away the sparrow like Pokemon before whisking away and saving both Jaune and Nebby from what was almost a certain demise!
The strange rooster headed creature dropped Jaune and Nebby next to the young girl as it looked at them for a moment before letting out a Battle cry and disappearing to who knows where.
"Wait!"shouted Jaune, trying to get the creature's attention before it disappeared."Thank you..."
"Oh my goodness! Are you two okay?!"asked the girl with concern as she approached Jaune and Nebby.
"Yeah, just a few bruises on my back but it should heal."said Jaune, as his Aura should heal his bruise back in a little while.
Nebby also let out a cry that sort of indicated that it was okay.
"Oh, you. You try to use that power again, didn't you. Nebby, you shouldn't be using that power. You couldn't move for ages after using that power. I don't ever want to see you like that again. No... I shouldn't say that. You we're just trying to help me that time and I couldn't do anything for you. Sorry Nebby."said the girl as the creature known as Nebby began caressing her leg.
"So, who are you? You wouldn't happen to be the kahuna of this island, would you?"asked Jaune, as he just had.
"I'm Lillie, and this is Nebby."said Lillie as she introduced herself.
"I'm Jaune, and it's nice to meet you Lillie."said Jaune, as both he and Lillie shook hands.
Nebby meanwhile found a strange looking stone from where the rooster-like creature stood and quickly brought it over to Lillie.
"What is this shiny stone? It's almost warm somehow."said Lillie, who quickly looked over at Jaune.
"This stone must belong to you."said Lillie, as she gave Jaune the stone.
"Um, thanks."said Jaune as he accepted the stone, before noticing a strange pattern on it.
'A... Z? I don't know why but there's something about this stone that draws me to it so I guess I'll keep it.' thought Jaune as he put the stone in his backpack.
"Um, Lillie. I know we just met but can you help me find the closest kind of civilization as I'm kind of lost."said Jaune, trying his best not to sound ashamed as he didn't want to be embarrassed in front of a cute girl again.
Several times was enough.
"Sure. I was about to ask you if you could escort me back to Iki town anyway as I don't want Nebby to be attacked by wild Pokemon again."said Lillie with a sincere smile..
'This girl is as pure as Ruby.' thought Jaune, as he never thought he would ever meet another innocent girl like his cookie obsessed best friend.
"Um, sure. Just lead the way."said Jaune, figuring that staying with Lillie until they reached Iki town was the best chance he had on finding the island kahuna.
And hopefully getting his first Pokemon!
[After finally arriving in the Alola Region, Jaune has a memorable first day by almost falling off a broken bridge. Luckily Jaune was saved by none other than the guardian of Melemele Island, Tapu Koko! Now Jaune ventures with his new acquaintance Lillie to Iki Town with the hope of meeting the island kahuna.
