New York City, Earth-201718
BOOM!
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!" A woman cackled as she blew up a car thanks to energy blasts from her hands. She was a tall Black woman with wild black hair that had a white streak in it. She wore what looked like a black one-piece swimsuit/leotard-like garment with a yellow lightning bolt on it. She also wore black gloves and thigh-high black boots. The boots had the same yellow lightning-bolt design on it. She had yellow lightning bolt earrings dangling from her ears. "That's right, humans!" The woman known as Powerhouse taunted. "Run! Know that the mutants are your superiors!" She heard someone landing on the ground behind her. She turned around and saw the person behind her.
It was a teenage boy of Chinese-American heritage. He wore a black domino mask, and what looked like a blue deerstalker. His body was covered by a long modified Inverness cape that reached down to his ankles, the bottom of the cape jagged to give the impression of icicles. A smirk formed on his face.
"Hello, Powerhouse." He greeted. Powerhouse. Real Name: She snarled.
"You." She snarled. "The...Inhuman." She spat out the word like it left a foul taste in her mouth.
"The name is Iceman, lady." Jerry Chang retorted.
Iceman II. Real Name: Jerome "Jerry" Chang. Birthplace: San Diego, CA. Affiliation: Future Avengers. Physiology: Inhuman. Powers and Abilities: Cryokinesis. Perfect recall. Skilled detective and martial artist.
"Let me show you why I'm called that! Icicle Barrage!" Jerry quickly opened his cape, sending a flurry of icicles flying in Powerhouse's direction.
"Agh!" The mutant supremacist yelled as she instinctively crossed her arms over her face as a way of protecting herself from the freezing onslaught. She growled at him. "You have no right to appropriate that name, Inhuman! Iceman was a mutant!"
"The original is retired, and he gave me his blessing." Jerry snorted. "And I honestly do not care if it offends you, Powerhouse."
"Aerial Act!" Another voice yelled out. A wind kicked up and Powerhouse found herself dropkicked out of nowhere. The screaming mutant was sent flying into a lamppost. The source was a Japanese teenager, wearing a red-and-blue costume with blue boots and gloves, and a red domino mask.
Hurricane. Real Name: Makoto Musashi. Birthplace: Unknown location in Japan. Physiology: Human Mutate. Affiliation: Hydra (Formerly), Future Avengers (Currently). Powers and Abilities: Aerokinesis.
"Yeah!" He whooped, pumping his fist. "You shouldn't be messing with the Future Avengers!"
"Don't get cocky, Hurricane." Jerry warned. "Where are the others?"
"Codec and Ms. Marvel are dealing with the Taskmaster. Pyro and Charade got Equinox handled." Makoto answered.
"Right. Let's put this maniac on ice so we can help them." Jerry aimed his hand at Powerhouse, the hand glowing bright blue.
EEEEEEEEE!
Jerry fired a beam of blue energy, encasing Powerhouse up to her head in ice. The mutant woman growled.
"You...dare..." Cracking could be heard as she tried to break out.
Boom!
She managed to burst her way out. Jerry scowled.
"Annoying." He muttered. Powerhouse smirked.
"You two genetic throwback think you can outpower a mutant?!" She laughed mockingly, her fists glowing. "You will acknowledge the superiority of the mutant race!"
"Friggin' Magneto..." Jerry muttered in frustration.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
A sonic scream erupted out of nowhere, and slammed into the mad mutant.
"AIEEEE!" The woman screamed as she covered her ears. A blinking Makoto and Jerry looked at each other in confusion.
"Huh?" They both asked in unison. A pair of arrows sailed through the air, and then exploded. They released a green gas that made Powerhouse cough, then fall over.
"Is she dead?" Makoto blinked.
"Nope." A new voice announced to them. This voice was feminine, with a British accent. An arrow with a zipline attached to it attached itself to a nearby roof. The two young heroes saw a woman ride the zipline down to meet them. She was a British-Indian woman, her dark hair in a braid. She wore a yellow outfit with golden highlights. She had on a yellow domino mask, and on her head was what looked like a golden version of a tyrolean hat with a black feather in it.
Golden Archer. Real Name: Wynonna McDonald. Birthplace: London, England, Earth-712. Physiology: Baseline Human. Affiliation: Squadron Supreme. Powers and abilities: No innate superpowers. Skilled archer and martial artist.
Another woman floated down next to the Golden Archer. She floated down using textured cloth "wings" under her arms. She was an Eurasian woman, wearing a black costume with orange padding meant to resemble a one-piece swimsuit. Her eyes were covered by a black domino mask.
Lady Lark. Real Name: Linda Ling-Lewis. Birthplace: San Diego, California, Earth-712. Physiology: Cyborg. Affiliation: Squadron Supreme. Powers and abilities: Skilled martial artist. Hypersonic scream.
"Who?" Makoto blinked.
"The Golden Archer is m'name." The Archer tipped her hat. "And this here is me lady love, Lady Lark." She put her arm around her fellow heroine's waist.
"Nice to meet you." Lark smiled. "I take it you two are Avengers?"
"We're the Future Avengers." Makoto introduced himself proudly. He pointed at himself. "I'm Hurricane..." He pointed at Jerry. "And this is Iceman."
Jerry nodded and tipped his hat. "Greetings." His eyes narrowed at Golden Archer. "Your accent...London, yes?"
"Heh. Most Yanks can't tell English accents apart." Wynonna smirked.
"Did we come at a bad time?" Lady Lark asked.
"I am afraid we're in the middle of something at the moment." Jerry admitted. He glanced over at the knocked-out mutant villain. "Let's call Code: Blue to come pick her up."
Avengers Tower
Four youths walked towards the Avengers' meeting room.
"I wonder what the others want us to hear about." A teenage boy wearing a red-and-yellow flame-themed suit asked. On his head were a pair of yellow goggles, his cowl letting his blond hair free and his blue eyes show.
Pyro II. Birth Name: Simon Lasker. Birthplace: New York City, NY. Affiliation: Future Avengers. Physiology: Mutant Human. Powers and abilities: Pyrokinesis.
"It's definitely something big." A tall Indian teenager said, wearing a green and white uniform with a chest emblem of a electronic green letter "C" with golden circuit traces on it.
Codec. Real Name: Adi Amritraj. Birthplace: Unknown location in India. Affiliation: Hydra (Formerly), Future Avengers (Currently). Physiology: Human Mutate. Powers and abilities: Technopathy.
"I admit, I was hoping to go back to Jersey and hit the Circle Q after this." A Pakistani-American teenage girl remarked, wearing a blue-and-red costume with blue boots and what looked like a golden lightning bolt on it, golden bangles around her wrists, and a blue domino mask.
Ms. Marvel. Birth name: Kamala Khan. Birthplace: Jersey City, NJ. Physiology: Inhuman. Affiliation: Future Avengers. Powers and abilities: Polymorphism (most notably elongation and sizeshifting).
"Don't blame you. Their sandwiches are delicious." A blonde-haired girl agreed. Her hair was in pigtails, and she wore a yellow costume with black and white highlights.
Charade. Real Name: Chloe Carson. Birthplace: Unknown location in the United States. Physiology: Human mutate. Affiliations: Hydra (formerly), Future Avengers (currently). Powers and Abilities: Shapeshifting.
Simon noticed Jerry blowing some bubbles out of a custom-made blue Calabash pipe. Jerry did that when he was thinking.
"Something got you thinking, buddy?" He asked. Jerry nodded.
"Indeed, my friend." Jerry said. "I'm trying to figure out who these mysterious new heroes are. But I don't have much to work with. Data, data, data. Cannot make bricks without clay..."
"I wonder where they come from, myself." Adi added. "If they were Hydra like myself, Makoto, and Chloe were, we likely would have known about them."
"They said something about wanting to talk to the Avengers about some big threat." Makoto recalled.
"Must be important if they wanted all of us here." Kamala noted. The youths walked into the meeting room, and noticed the senior Avengers (Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Wasp, and a sixth member) talking to Golden Archer and Lady Lark. The sixth member turned to them.
"You have done good work today." He complimented the kids, his voice having a Eastern European-accent. It belonged to a handsome blond man. He wore a yellow armored bodysuit with a black chestplate that had an emblem of a stylized yellow bee on it. The costume also had black gloves and boots. Under his arm, he carried a black helmet with a yellow faceplate and a yellow antenna on each side.
Yellowjacket. Real Name: Henry Trovaya. Birthplace: Budapest, Hungary. Affliation: Avengers. Physiology: Human Mutate. Powers and abilities: Usage of Pym Particles allows sizeshifting abilities. Yellowjacket suit allows enhanced durability, flight, and energy powers.
"Of course we did!" Makoto grinned. "We're the Future Avengers, baby!"
"Shhhhh!" The others hissed.
"Hyperion, huh?" Wasp said.
"Yup." Lady Lark nodded. "On our Earth, Hyperion is one of the most powerful heroes in the Squadron Supreme. He's also one of the nicest people around."
"Sadly, this blighter is all arse." Golden Archer held up a device that projected an image of the evil Hyperion. The gray-and-yellow costume...but most notably, the abnormally large grin.
"That's the grin of a reasonable, sane man." Wasp joked.
"Hhmph." The Hulk snorted, the green powerhouse crossing his arms. "He doesn't look so tough."
"Don't underestimate him, my large green friend." Yellowjacket smiled. "You called me a shrimp, and I was able to drive you crazy."
"You got lucky. And you're still a shrimp." Hulk said.
"This feels like something out of a Buck Rogers serial." Cap pointed out.
"The Multiverse is very real, Captain." Lady Lark said. "We've met an alternate version of you guys a couple times."
"I find it amazing that the Fox Theory is true." Iron Man shook his head in amusement. "Shame the man didn't live to see this."
"Is there anything we can do to stop this madman if he comes to our reality?" Thor asked.
"Well, he's no more immune to magic than anyone else is." Lady Lark said.
"We'll let Strange know, then." Cap nodded.
"He's also vulnerable to this." Golden Archer handed a box to Captain America. The super-soldier took it and opened it up.
"Wow. Pretty crystal." Wasp said.
"It's emitting a form of radiation I've never seen before." Iron Man said.
"It ain't gamma." Hulk agreed.
"It's called Argonite. The radiation is poisonous to him." Wynonna explained. "I don't think it hurts humans, but I would not leave it lying around, just in case."
"We appreciate the warning...and the Argonite." Cap said, closing the box.
"I'll examine it and try and find a way to duplicate the radiation from it." Iron Man said, taking the box. "Having some extra weaponry that can duplicate it will be handy."
"Maybe we can make some Argonite brass knuckles for you, big guy." Yellowjacket smirked, tapping Hulk's arm.
"Heh." Hulk smirked.
Squadron Supreme Headquarters, Cosmopolis, Earth-712
Arcanna handed a box to a muscular broad-shouldered man. He wore an armored blue suit with a logo of a blue eagle with a black border. The suit had golden highlights, and a pair of foldable blue metallic wings. A blue bird-themed helmet with a golden beak over the nose sat on a table next to him. The man had curly black hair, and his facial features showed his Egyptian-American heritage.
Blue Eagle. Birth Name: James Dore III. Birthplace: Boston, Massachusetts. Physiology: Baseline Human. Powers and abilities: No innate superpowers. Armored suit allows superhuman strength, durability and flight. Skilled mechanic and in the usage of various melee weaponry.
Standing next to him was a stunning Afro-Iranian woman, wearing a similar costume. She also had a matching helmet sitting next to Dore's.
Lady Eagle. Birth Name: Ciara Biniaz. Birthplace: Toronto, Canada. Affiliation: Squadron Supreme. Physiology: Baseline Human. Powers and abilities: No innate superpowers. Armored suit provides superhuman strength, durability, and flight. Skilled detective and skills in usage of various handheld weaponry.
"I take it you two know your assignment?" The blonde sorceress asked the Eagles.
"Don't you worry, we will not fail." Blue Eagle assured. "I don't want any other world to suffer at the hands of that madman like this world did." He sighed sadly. "No one else should have to sacrifice themselves to stop him like Albert did."
"Al gave his life to help stop that evil Hyperion." Arcanna remembered. "His sacrifice will never be forgotten."
James turned to Ciara. "Are you sure you want to do this with me? We can cover more Earths much quicker if we work separately."
The Afro-Iranian woman smiled at her beloved husband. "Honey, we're a team. We work together, like Archer and Lark." She kissed him. "Now then, let's go help protect the Multiverse." James smiled back.
"Of course." He kissed her armored hand.
"After this, I hope we get to have another double date."
"Oh, God..." James groaned, rolling his eyes. "The last time we ended up on a double date, I ended up having to play pack mule."
"Oh, it wasn't so bad." Ciara smirked wickedly. She leaned over. "I thanked you...very vigorously that night."
Arcanna coughed and conjured up a portal. "Alright, you two lovebirds." She chuckled. "Get going." The two then walked into the portal and it closed behind them. "Good luck, my friends."
"I still don't get why I have to stay here." The woman said. She was Black, and she wore a blue and yellow costume with a chest emblem of an atom.
Nuke II. Birth Name: Jasmine Cox (born Joshua Cox). Birthplace: Atlanta, GA, Earth-712. Physiology: Human mutate. Powers and abilities: Can duplicate any form of energy on the electromagnetic spectrum.
"Our world may have plenty of superheroes, but it wouldn't hurt to have a powerhouse stay behind just in case the crazy version of Hyperion comes back." Arcanna said.
"True, but I've not been on this team long, and..." The heroine rubbed her shoulders. "I'd be lying if I said I'm not afraid that monster will return."
"So am I, Jasmine." Arcanna said. "So am I. We all are. There's no shame in that. That's why we're doing this. So other Earths don't have to suffer like ours did at his hands."
Jasmine sighed. "...I just hope I can do Albert proud."
Arcanna smiled. She patted the young woman's shoulder. "I'm sure you have done already, my friend. You may have not been in the Squadron for long, but you've already done a lot of good. You've been very helpful in rebuilding our world. I can imagine he's very happy to see that he left a legacy."

Out on one of the decks, a tall Irish blonde woman stood and watched the sea. A cane was laid next to her. Madeline Hollister sighed and looked down at the photograph in her hands. Secured in a brown wooden frame, it depicted her as a child of around eight years of age. She was grinning at the camera, hugging a blond boy of the same age.
"Hard to believe it's been, God, how many years now?" She sighed to herself. "How did things go so wrong? We used to as thick as thieves, Marty."
"Miss Hollister?" Maddie turned around and saw Selena Salazar standing at the doorway. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, lassie." Maddie assured, the blonde woman summoning a small smile. "I've just been thinking."
"About what?" Selena asked as she walked up and leaned on the deck's ledge next to Maddie.
"A lot of things." The elder woman admitted. "All the stuff we've been through recently, and all that."
Selena blinked at the photograph in Maddie's hands. "Who's that guy?" She asked, pointing at the picture.
"My brother Martin. Martin Meaney." Maddie said. "My twin brother."
"Oh, I didn't know you're a twin."
"Was a twin." Maddie said. "Martin died when Jack was three."
"...does Jack know about him?"
"Of course he does." Maddie nodded. "Marty and I were a pair of wild children growin' up. He..." Her smile went sad. "He never seemed to grow out of it." A sigh escaped her lips. "He fell into a...bad path. He presumably died in an explosion, but...for some reason, I never could truly believe that he was gone."
"Really?"
Maddie nodded. "Yeah. I don't know why. It's been getting worse lately since that break-in. I don't know how it was done, considering the security system we have..." She sighed. "I got a bad feeling about this..."
I decided to designate the Marvel Future Avengers Earth as Earth-201718 as a nod to when it was first originally broadcast in Japan: 2017-2018. Disney+ brought it to the US in 2020.
Powerhouse first appeared in Spider-Man #15 (October 1991).
The second Pyro, Simon Lasker, first appeared in X-Men Gold #1 (April 2017). I originally had intended to use Dante Pertuz/Inferno, but I decided to use Simon Lasker instead as the group needed a bit of mutant representation. He's also gay, so that makes the Future Avengers team more diverse. Maybe I'll do another story with this version of the group.
Henry Trovaya is from a MCU story idea I had once, the idea that before he married Janet, like in the comics, Hank Pym was with Maria Trovaya, and as a result, he had a long-lost son. The character was inspired by the MC2 character Henry Pym, Jr./Big Man and Nadia Pym/Wasp.
Nuke II is inspired by the Jason Rusch Firestorm. And since I've wanted to introduce a more "modernized" take on the Squadron Supreme in these stories, this second Nuke is a trans woman. I also thought it would be neat to make her a legacy character, as I can't imagine that the rampage of the evil Hyperion on Earth-712 didn't result in at least one casualty.
Adi's last name is a nod to Indian tennis player and actor Vijay Amritraj, who appeared in Octopussy and Star Trek IV.
Lady Eagle is an homage to Hawkgirl/Hawkwoman. I figured since Blue Eagle was a Hawkman pastiche, it was appropriate that the Squadron have a Hawkwoman of their own. Her name is an homage to Ciara Renee and Sahar Biniaz, who played Hawkgirl in the Arrowverse and Smallville, respectively. Also, it gives the Squadron another female member. Blue Eagle being Egyptian-American is a nod to Hawkman's ties to Ancient Egypt.
