After Season 8 of WCTH I was contemplating Lucabeth and their future together. I began "hearing" Lucas in my head and one day I sat down and wrote a letter to Elizabeth, she wrote back and before the evening was up I had six letters. This is an ongoing collection that are bound into Journals. Journal I (Letters 1-42)

27. Letter 27 Note Inviting E for Lunch

December 17, 1918

My sweetest Elizabeth,
Can I interest you in sneaking off with me for a trip to our bridge on Thursday (19th)? We can have breakfast there and just spend some quiet time together. This may be our last chance for some alone time since the Festival starts on Friday and the families arrive the day after.

Laura will be at your house for the cookie baking in the afternoon, so will you find out if she can come early. I can pick her up at her house at 8:00. Say you will come with me and I promise to keep you warm. Love,
