Three months since, Hiccup last appeared in Berk.
The villagers of Berk felt bad that they blamed him for the forge fire.
Astrid had been sad with herself.
Soon Johann visit Berk.
Stoick smiles "what have you brought us?"
Johann answers "I come with story of a boy dressed in black armor riding a Night Fury chasing away dragon hunters and trappers, fighting Berserker tribe and Outcast tribe."
Astrid turns to Johann and whispers "he's been fighting tribes."
Night time came.
Hiccup landed in the cove on Berk and smiles "I'm home again and it's been three months since I left."
Toothless snorts.
Hiccup comments "yeah, yeah, I know, bud. With the heat coming after us, we need to lay low for a while. Plus winter is coming and we need shelter."
Toothless warblers rolling his eyes.
Hiccup and Toothless fly to Hofferson's house.
Toothless sleeps in the barn while Hiccup walked down to the forge to see it rebuilt and shakes his head at it.
A guard catches him and ask "are you a spy?"
Hiccup answer "no. I'm just visiting."
The guard walks away.
Hiccup looks at the village and sighs going to the work on repairing weapons.
Three in the morning, Hiccup fell asleep.
In the morning, Gobber walk inside to see Hiccup sleeping on the floor and weapons repaired.
Astrid walks upto the forge and depress says "hi, Gobber."
Gobber ask "still depress that Hiccup left?"
Astrid bows her head "yeah, it's been three months since he left."
Gobber grins "your fiance is sleeping."
Astrid lifts her head in shock and walks inside to see Hiccup sleeping on the floor and looks at the weapons pile repaired and turns to Gobber and says "help me bring him to my house."
Gobber lifts him up and carries him to Hofferson's house and upstairs to Astrid's bedroom and lay him on her bed.
Around noon, Hiccup woke up groaning before looking around the room to see he's in Astrid's bedroom and ask "who brought me here?"
He gets off the bed and puts on his armor and tiptoe out of the bedroom and downstairs to the door.
He walks outside and ignored the villagers stare in shock that he returned.
He walks through the village.
Snotlout jumped out from his hiding place and scoffs "well, this is a shock, you return after three months disappearing."
Hiccup ignores him.
Snotlout scoffs "looks like I'm going to have to try harder to get rid of you to make sure I stay heir and force Astrid to marry me."
Hiccup comments "I'm better off on my own, Snotlout and you couldn't do what I do to fight the enemies that I encountered. I'm only staying until spring and then find a new home to live in."
Snotlout curious ask "what about Astrid?"
Hiccup sighs "Astrid will believe anything that this village believes about me. She wouldn't come to my defense against her village. So less I'm around her, the better I'll be."
Snotlout gape "she was depressed because you left!"
Hiccup looks at Snotlout for a second and says "if I give her a chance again, she would hurt me again because of something that this village did to me.
This village has lost my trust in them and I learn that once they cast me out, they won't truly want me to rejoin until they realize that they have no other choice but to accept me back to save them."
A voice draws their attention "you believe that we don't regret casting you out?"
They turn to see Stoick standing there.
Hiccup answers "you turned your back on me and let the village treat me that way. So no, because Snotlout burned the forge down and blame me for it. I had all of my sketches of things that I thought of in there!
How in the heck can you believe that I would want to burn down the forge to get revenge?!"
Hiccup walks away from them "from now on don't talk to me and leave me alone! I hate you all! I only came here to lay low from the enemies that I encountered over three months and when spring comes, I'll leave to find a new home!"
Snotlout and Stoick watch Hiccup walk away.
Stoick bows his head in sadness "I did this."
Snotlout grins "the village broke him along with his crush."
(With Hiccup)
Hiccup walked to the Meade hall to eat lunch.
He grabbed a plate of cooked fish and sat down at a table to eat alone.
After lunch he walked down to forge and began working on another weapon with Gobber hammering a sword.
Gobber ask "did you have a nice sleep?"
Hiccup sighs "I was fine sleeping here."
Gobber comments "Astrid, ask me to bring you to her house to sleep. She missed you."
Hiccup shakes his head "no. She-"
Astrid stood at the counter window looking at him and walks inside the forge and punched him in his left shoulder and scowls "that was for leaving me for three months! And this is for coming back home" kissing his cheek.
Hiccup sighs "Astrid, kissing my cheek won't help you with forgiveness. You join the villager against me because you believe that liar that I would burn down the forge. My damn stuff was in there along with pictures of you!"
He shakes his head at her "that isn't how your supposed to treat your fiance. You need learn what marriage includes until then, don't consider us engaged" and leaves the forge.
Gobber watch Astrid shake her head in shock "no" and wraps his right arm around her shoulder and says "it's okay, Astrid. He gave you a suggestion on how to rebuild. Talk to your mom."
(With Hiccup)
Hiccup walks through the village looking at families and shakes his head at them.
He walks to the Hofferson's barn to pet Toothless "hey, bud. Let's go to our camp in the forest."
Toothless nods his head.
They fly to the cove.
Two months later, winter hit.
Hiccup arrived at the meade hall with the villagers.
Stoick ask "is everyone counted for?"
Villagers answers "yeah, everyone is here.
Brynhild was standing beside her son, Bryan and says "Astrid's at the house alone."
Magnus widen his eyes in panic "what is she doing at home?"
Bryan answers "she's upset, doesn't want to see anyone because she is heartbroken. She hasn't even train for two months. Just been laying in bed crying."
Hiccup growls "for the love of Odin! I'm going to get her!"
Stoick sternly says "no, son! You're freeze to death out there!"
Hiccup looks at him and says "don't ever call me your son again. You lost that right the moment I fucking ask you to stop Snotlout from continue to hit me you piece of shit."
He runs out of the Meade hall to the Hofferson's house in cold snow.
A twenty minutes later, he arrives at Hofferson's house.
He opens the door and shuts it after getting inside and runs upstairs to Astrid's bedroom to see Astrid laying on her bed and ask "what the heck are you thinking staying here during winter storm."
Astrid whimpers "I didn't want to see anyone."
Hiccup frustrated says "and you can freeze here!"
Astrid scoffs "not like you would miss me or them."
Hiccup sternly says "grab your fur and meet me downstairs by the fireplace."
He walks inside Magnus and Brynhild's bedroom and grab their fur cover and bring it downstairs and set it down in front of the fireplace.
He cook two plates of fish for himself and Astrid.
Astrid came downstairs with her fur cover and sees him cooking fish in the fireplace and the cut the meat out.
He set candles out around them.
Astrid blushes at the candles and the scene.
Hiccup goes to the kitchen and grab a few spices to season it up.
Astrid took a bite of the fish meat and moans "hmm, this is ready good, Hiccup."
Hiccup smirks "you could call this our first date."
Astrid blushes at the word 'date'.
After eating dinner, they lay down in the furs.
Hiccup set another log in the fireplace.
Astrid snuggle into Hiccup's sweatshirt.
Hiccup wrapped his arms around her waist.
Astrid whispers "Hiccup?"
Hiccup ask "yes, Astrid?"
Astrid blushes "dates shouldn't end without a kiss."
Hiccup blinks his eyes "well, that is if you want to kiss."
Astrid moves her arms upto around his neck and kisses his lips.
Hiccup moans in the kiss for a moment before breaking the kiss and says "goodnight, Astrid."
Astrid whispers "goodnight, Hiccup."
