After Season 8 of WCTH I was contemplating Lucabeth and their future together. I began "hearing" Lucas in my head and one day I sat down and wrote a letter to Elizabeth, she wrote back and before the evening was up I had six letters. This is an ongoing collection that are bound into Journals. Journal I (Letters 1-42)

40. Letter 40 Rosie's Wedding Countdown

Hope Valley

February 7, 1919

Dear Elizabeth,

So, you are just one week away from marrying the man of your dreams and your forever love, and I could not be any happier for you. I am so glad that you will be taking the next week off so you can relax before the wedding. I know you have been busy with school and getting the substitute teacher prepared for your time off; now it is just time to enjoy these next few days.

Fortunately, we made a great plan and it has all gone smoothly. I have handed out the schedule for next week. Your copy is in the envelope with this note. You only have to attend to just a few items and I have highlighted them for you.

First, I will need you to review the menu this weekend so that I can start printing them. If you could let me know if there are any changes by Sunday night, that would be great.

Second, Monday morning we will do the final fitting for our dresses at my house just to check if the alterations from the last fitting are perfect.

Third, the bachelor/bachelorette party is Wednesday evening. We will have the bridal shower first and then the men will join us. You don't have to do anything but show up at the Saloon at 4:00 pm. Laura and Robert will be sharing babysitting Jack; Laura will be coming to the shower but swapping with Robert who will be coming to the bachelor party.

Fourth, I will be coming over early on your wedding day; Fiona and I will be taking care of you until we deliver you to your father's arm

Lucas is going to be waiting for you at the end of the aisle and you are going to swoon when you see your fiancé in his wedding suit, I, of course, have had a preview and I can verify that you are definitely going to swoon. Just as he is going to be enchanted by the vision of you in your dress as you walk down the aisle toward him.

Your lifetime love story takes a huge step into a new chapter and I know that you have so much joy ahead. You, Lucas, and Jack are going to begin your new life on Tuesday after the wedding. We are so thrilled to be taking care of Jack and sharing his excitement! Mama and Papa will be coming home together from their long weekend in Union City and he will be so happy.
