A/N: Hello! Sorry for the delay I took a day off writing yesterday. I wont be posting a chapter tomorrow but shall this weekend!
Disclaimer: I do not own Spider-Man or Marvel! This is just for fun!
Peter shot up in bed breathing heavily and sweating. It took him a moment to get his bearings about him. His eyes had started to adjust to the dark room making it clear that he was in his own room at Stark Tower. Next to his bed was a sleeping Tony in the reclining chair that was snoring lightly.
Moving his head had made Peter wince, bringing his attention to stitches in his forehead.
"Don't touch them," Tony warned, making Peter jump.
"Mr. Stark, you scared me," Peter said.
"Sorry kid, Bruce wanted me to make sure you didn't mess with them," Tony said sitting up, "Also he said since you have faster healing you may start to get itchy before tomorrow as it heals."
"It's already pretty itchy," Peter agreed.
"How are you feeling? Any other pain?" Tony asked as he clicked on Peter's reading light.
"No, I think I'm okay," Peter told him, doing a mental check in.
"So," Tony said slowly, "You didn't want to tell me about this Goblin issue?"
"It's not that I didn't want to tell you. I was going to tell you. I mean I should have told you right away Mr. Stark but-"
"Woah Parker you're rambling," Tony cut him off.
"I get that what I had said upset you but I thought I made it clear that you can come to me with any pressing issue no matter what. Even if we're not on the same page or hell, if I'm halfway around the world. Did I upset you so much that I pushed you away?"
"It's not that Mr. Stark," Peter said , feeling bad about their misunderstanding, " It's just that I knew them. I grew up with Harry and Mr. Osborn had taken me under his wing for several years before I knew you. I felt like if you knew them how I knew them, then you might feel the same way."
"You're right, I wasn't being fair and I didn't give them the benefit of the doubt, " Tony told him, "I'm sorry."
There was a comfortable silence as Peter processed what was just said. Never had Peter heard Tony straight up apologize for something. He was pretty sure he hadn't even seen him do that for Pepper or Happy.
"I saw that Norman had made a statement with the press with you there. I have to ask, are you planning on working for him instead?" Tony asked.
"Mr. Stark I-"
"Because if you are I have no hard feelings whatsoever I just want you to know," Tony cut off halfway afraid of Peter's answer.
"No," Peter said firmly, "I don't plan on leaving. I enjoy being here and with you and Pepper and Happy."
"Good, I mean we like having you here. I know Pepper hates watching movies with me so she never ends up finishing them. So, I guess you have to stick around for that too," Tony downplayed.
Peter chuckled then turned to look around the room.
"What time is it Mr. Stark?" Peter asked.
"It's almost 4am," Tony said, yawning.
"I missed my dinner plans," Peter recolected.
"Don't stress it underoo, Pepper said that when she had called May, Harry had called and said that Norman wasn't feeling great and needed to reschedule anyway," Tony informed him, "So it all worked out. But you do need to call May at a normal hour."
"I hope he's okay. He seemed fine at lunch," Peter thought aloud.
"I'm sure he's fine, kid. Probably better than you," Tony joked.
"Yeah these stitches do really itch," Peter said, lightly touching around the gash.
"Hey, you're going to get us in trouble with Bruce if you keep poking at it. He said he would come check it out tomorrow afternoon," Tony said.
A loud boom interrupted all talking, both men jumping to their feet and out the room and down the hall to the living area. Steve and Pepper had also awoken and met the two there just as FRIDAY was reporting.
"Showing outside video feeds," FRIDAY announced.
"Come out and play!" Came the familiar cackle. The Goblin had come into view and he was holding the pumpkin bomb before tossing it hapazzardly into the street behind him.
"What in the world is that?" Steve asked.
"The Goblin," Pepper said almost speechless.
"Stay here," Tony commanded, looking at Peter.
"But I can help," Peter fought back.
"Stay here!" Tony said as his suit morphed onto him, "Pepper make sure he does not leave."
With that Tony took off flying to meet the green menace. Steve with his shield right on his tail using a grappling hook to propel down to the street below.
"Ah Iron Man and Captain America, lovely to meet you gentlemen," The green goblin said before his glider popped out gun barrels, "Sorry you have to leave so soon!"
The Goblin had started to fire upon Steve as he ducked behind his shield, drawing fire. He pushed closer while Tony had started to use his gauntlets to fire back. The glider was very nimble, flowing side to side dodging Tony's blasts. Just as Tony got closer the goblin had pulled out a missile hitting Tony in the chest knocking him back.
"Tony!" Steve yelled.
Steve turned and threw his shield at the green glider, surprised to see the Goblin catch it with one hand.
"A wonderful dinner plate," The goblin taunted, "Too bad they aren't really my colors."
The Goblin took and threw it hard back at Steve who had tried to catch it. Finding the strength of which the shield was thrown being stronger than he had expected it hit Steve square in the chest pushing him back a few feet landing him next to Tony who was back on his feet.
"Who are you? What are you after?" Steve demanded.
"Me? You can call me the Green Goblin. As for what I'm after," The Goblin flew up higher, "The start of a new empire!"
With that he threw 4 bombs down to the two men. Steve threw up his shield to try and protect him and Tony as much as possible from the blasts but they never came as the whip of some webs shot out redirecting the bombs back at the goblin.
The explosion just knocked the goblin off his glider and onto the ground below.
"Spider-Man, I told you to stay put," Tony said.
"I'm sorry Mr. Stark I had to help," Peter said, swinging down and landing next two the two older heroes.
"We will talk about it later, just hang back," Tony told him.
"Spider-man," The Goblin called in a slow sing-song voice, "Fashionably late I see."
The Goblin had stood up and started to slowly walk towards them.
"I knew you and Tony Stark were connected but I never knew how," The goblin told him, "That was, until earlier today."
"Tony," Peter whispered, fear in his voice.
"Don't worry kid, we will figure it out," Tony whispered back.
Continuing, the Goblin said, "I saw you in the lobby duck under the desk one moment and to my surprise you came out as a Spider. Isn't that right Mr. Parker?"
A/N: Uh oh! That's not good! Thanks for reading!
