The time was 0300 hours. The highway along the outskirts of New York was nearly deserted. The silence was almost deafening. However, at that moment, a rumbling could be heard off in the distance, shattering the calm. It was an entire caravan of military vehicles, all painted black. In the center of it all, there was a six wheeled transport vehicle, with the letters C.I.A painted on the side. They continued on like this for a while before another vehicle merged onto the freeway. It was a rusty old van that looked like it had seen better days. The van, whose driver was clearly drunk, was swerving across the road. Then, a horrible screech was heard. The van turned rapidly and flipped over onto its side and skidded across the highway. It slammed into one of the military humvees, causing a flaming wreck. Which just so happened to be in the path of the transport vehicle.

The transport slammed into the wreck, causing a final, massive explosion that wrenched the vehicles apart. All the remaining vehicles came to stop in a circle around the wreck. The soldiers and government agents stepped out and aimed their guns at it.

"Watch out: This thing's unpredictable." One of the government agents said. Then, out of the flames, it came. It was hunched over, all black, with a long spiny tail, and a mouth that looked like it could bite a man in half. It flung itself onto one of the soldiers, devouring him instantly. One of the government agents began firing at it, but the thing responded with deadly acid spit, disintegrating the man. Then, having finished its meal, the thing ran off into the darkness. Towards the gleaming lights of New York City.

The next day, a black sedan pulled up outside the N.Y.P.D office in New York. A man in a black suit stepped out. The man's name was David Precelen, put in charge of the Extraterrestrial division of the C.I.A. The transport last night was under his command. How he had let what possibly was the most dangerous creature in existence escaped into a major city was a mystery. He had almost been fired, had it not been for his good handling of covering up the whole "Predator" fiasco in Vietnam. He was here because he had to convene with the police Chief about how to hunt the monster. He walked up the stairs and through the doors.

"So let me get this straight: You let a human eating, acid spitting, nigh indestructible Alien you call a Xenomorph into my city, and now you need my help cleaning it up."

The conversation with the chief of police wasn't going well. First, he had to convince him he was actually with the government, and second convince the man that the alien part was real.

"Exactly." David responded.

"Fine. I'll give you 30 swat team members, and I'll be waiting in reserve." The chief said, though somewhat unwillingly. "I have gotten a tip about something that sounds like an alien. I thought it was a prank, but it matches your description. The location was 79 Ridley Avenue."

David Precelen had been patrolling Ridley street for 2 hours now. It was a district of seedy apartment buildings and abandoned storefronts. So far he had found nothing of interest, outside of a few homeless people starting a trash fire. It was late dusk now, and darkness would soon be falling. He knew he was going to have to give up for the night. Then, he saw it. It was maneuvering around the fire escape of one of the apartment buildings.

"Over there! Open fire!" He screamed at the swat members. They trained their sights on the Xenomorph and started firing. The creature, which barely seemed bothered by the bullets, continued its upward climb through the fire escape. David whipped out his pistol and joined in firing. However, this time the Xenomorph took notice. It hurled itself down towards David, landing on top of him, sending him back a few meters. The Xenomorph was now on him, staring at him. It roared, then prepared to bite down on him. But he was ready. He had grabbed some of the burning trash, and threw it at the Xenomorph. It recoiled backwards in shock, then climbed upwards towards the top of the building. However not before on of the Swat Team members put a tracking device on it

So fire hurts it… Landon thought to himself as he stood up and brushed himself off.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone.

"I'm going to need 10 flamethrowers ready by tonight, 100 officers in reserve, and a police chopper. Meet me in the briefing room in 1 hour!" David ordered.

Vincent ran down the street. It was the perfect heist. He had just hit the Cameron Bank, and so far there had been no witnesses. He had slung the bag of money over his back and was taking off towards where he was supposed to meet the getaway driver. Then he saw it. Something walking out of the shadows.

"Fincher?" Vincent asked the thing. "Is that you?"

His question was soon answered as the creature jumped out at him. Vincent tried to draw his gun but was too late. The thing fell on him, tearing him to shreds. Then, the thing took off towards the Brooklyn bridge, off in the distance.

As the Xenomorph arrived at the bridge it noticed something was wrong. There were no cars. In its brief time period on Earth cars had been a constant presence. Why were there none? Then the light went on. A blinding spotlight stunned the creature. The spotlight had come from a police helicopter. All below it there were the flashing lights of police cars.

"This is the NYPD. Come out with your hands up!"

The Xenomorph understood none of this but had an idea he was in danger. It began climbing up one of the jungle gym-like tethers connecting the bridge to the towers. At that moment the flamethrower men had begun closing in. They sprayed flame towards the creature, but it skillfully evaded the bursts of flame. It climbed further up the tower, evading bullets.

At this moment, David grabbed two officers beside him. One was a veteran female officer, the other a Swat team member with a flamethrower.

"We have to move up after that thing. Come with me!"

Only with great difficulty did they manage to climb up the tether to the top. The Xenomorph was waiting for them at the top. It roared, and spit acid at them, disintegrating the Swat team member. David and the police officer began firing at the creature to no avail.

"Cover me!" David yelled as he grabbed the flamethrower. He raised it towards the alien and pulled the trigger, sending out a jet of flame. The Xenomorph reared backwards in pain. Suddenly, like propelled by an invisible force, it jumped off the bridge onto the helicopter. Then, rebounding off the helicopter, jumped 50 feet to the top of an abandoned building. The helicopter pilot was so shocked by this he lost control of the helicopter, which was sent spinning into the Hudson River. "Can you go get some men to search that building?" David asked the female police officer.

"Sure, and I'll get the rest of the men on backup." She responded.

The building had been abandoned for 30 plus years, a symbol of urban decay. The only residents were a few squatters and the occasional gang. And a hostile alien monster. David had assembled a group of 20 Swat team soldiers and the Police officer who had been with him on the bridge.

"Alright men, are you ready to search the area?"

"Yes Sir!" They responded in unison.

The building was dark and dilapidated. The men split up, a group of 4 searching each floor. David had gone with the female police officer, whose name was Kathy, and two Swat members. They were searching the top floor, where the alien had the most likelihood of being. They had begun searching the rooms when Kathy noticed something.

"Hey David, you might want to have a look at this." She said as she entered a room.

David and the Swat team members followed her in. The room was deserted and completely lifeless. Except for one thing. A glowing green, pulsating, egg shaped orb attached to the ground.

"You think that's its egg?" Kathy asked.

" I don't know what other kind of animal lays that sort of thing." David replied.

One of the Swat members had been investigating the egg when it suddenly sprung to life. A strange crab-like creature bursted out and attached itself to the man's face, its long tail wrapping around his neck. The man collapsed on the floor.

"What was that?" The other Swat team member asked, " What the– HUrK!"

The Xenomorph had been behind him the whole time, waiting to strike. It had impaled him with its tail, and disappeared before David or Kathy could fire a shot.

"We have to get out of here- Now!" David said as he hoisted the first Swat team member, with the creature still attached, over his shoulder. As they moved towards the door, something dropped from the ceiling. It was the Xenomorph. It roared at them, and slowly moved towards them.

David grabbed a can sitting nearby, and finding its contents to be gasoline, threw it at the creature. The Xenomorph was doused in gasoline, but that hardly made a difference. It was about to charge at them when David flicked on his lighter and threw it at the creature. The Xenomorph suddenly became a beacon of light in the abandoned building, casting a warm glow. It writhed in pain as the fire slowly burnt it to a crisp. Then, it lay dead on the floor, looking no more dangerous than an ant burnt by a magnifying glass. The two, not counting the unconscious Swat soldier, slowly walked down the stairs and out the door.

It had been a week now since the harrowing events. It had been covered up by the government as a gang war, and all the police involved were paid copious amounts of money to stay quiet. The Swat team member had made a startling recovery once the creature had come off his face, and was about to be discharged today. He was being led out to the car by two nurses and a police officer when suddenly, he collapsed in pain. He fell to the ground, clutching his stomach as nurses and doctors surrounded him. Then, his stomach burst open and a creature, much like a large worm, but with teeth, appeared. It roared, then slithered off, disappearing into the sewers.
