Chapter 1

A young girl is being carried in the arms of her father as he and his wife raced through the debris. Her red on black eyes watch as the mansion behind them is destroyed and ransacked by Sentinels that came out of no where. She grips her dads trench coat in fear as the mansion and Sentinels disappear out of view as they ran towards the woods. The couple stops once they know they are a good enough distance away, their breaths trying to catch up-well her husband at least since his wife floated besides them. "Ya think we're far enough away?" She asks, her feet lightly touching on the ground.

He looks back, then looks down at their daughter. "I t'ink so. S' okay petite, we gon' go somewhere safe."

"What about uncle Logan and de ot'ers?" The toddler asked.

Her mom tries to give her a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, sugah. They know where we're all meetin' up. We're not too fa' from the safe house."

"If we want t' make it t' de safe house, we have t' go now, chére." Her husband looks at her.

She nods, then they take off again. Yesterday was just like any ordinary day for everyone at the mansion. Students running around, the older X-men teaching the younger kids how to control their powers. The little girl was fascinated watching Logan's claws come out. He raised an eyebrow at her, but gave her a small smile. "Careful, kid, don't want your mom mad at me if you poke your eye out."

The girl laughs as she watched them disappear. "Why can' ah do dat?" She asks.

"Cause you got yer dads explosive powers. Which is just great…" Logan mutters that last sentence.

"Hey, I heard dat. Dere ain' nothin' wrong wit' blowin' t'ings up."

"Daddy!" The little girls eyes light up as she ran and hugged his leg but he picks her up and held her in a hug.

"Oh sure like that time you almost blew up your wifes hand?" Logan raised an eyebrow.

"Dat was a long time ago, mon ami." He gives the Wolverine a look. "'Sides, we were on different teams."

Logan snorts, but doesn't comment. "Daddy, I wanna go play wit' de ot'ers in dat big room!"

Her dad grins and laughs. "I don' t'ink y' mot'er would be t' happy if I let y' in de danger room, but maybe y' can watch from de control room."

"Ya raght, sugah. I wouldn't be happy if ya snuck our daughter into the danger room, lahke that one time ya took her on a lil mission when she was a lot younger." His wife entered the room, making him smile lovingly at her, his eyes on her emerald green ones.

"Dere wasn't any danger, sides I had Raven strapped t' my chest in that baby t'ing and she was fine."

He remembers that night a couple years ago when their daughter was not even a year old yet. His wife was resting as she was tired from teaching but also still healing herself from having their daughter-which Hank had put her strictly onto teaching rather than training with the others in the danger room. At the time, the thief was carrying the small infant in a wearable carrier and was looking for a bottle for her, letting his wife sleep while he takes care of their daughter. Scott and Kurt go past the kitchen in their uniforms, the thief noticing and catches up to them with a full bottle in hand. "Where y' guys goin'?" He asks.

Kurt and Scott turn around, Kurt smiling at his niece. "Hello mein niece! Uncle Kurt is going on a mission." Kurt coos to the infant who responds with a coo of her own and a small smile.

Scott smiled but looked at the tall southerner. "Like Kurt said, we're going on a mission. Just observing though, no getting involved."

The thief thinks for a moment, then blurts out, "Lemme come. 'Sides, if y' jus' observin', Raven can watch t'."

Scott rubs the back of his neck. "I don't know Remy, I don't think Rogue would like that you are taking your guys baby out on a mission. If Jean ever found out I took Rachel on a mission…"

Scott shudders as he trailed off his last sentence. Kurt gives pleading eyes. "Aww, c'mon Scott. We'll just be obzerving. Vat's ze vorse zat could happen?"

Scott sighs and runs his hand through his face. "Alright but if there is any sign of trouble, Kurt I want you to teleport them both back here."

"Ja, you got it!" Kurt salutes. He then turns to his niece. "Ya here zat little von? Ya first mission! Though we vill have to make sure your mother doezn't find out-hopefully."

Raven coos. Remy grins. Then the trio head out. Remy wore his suit, changing into it and his signature trench coat after handing his daughter to her uncle who happily fed her her bottle and was talking to her. Scott lands the Blackbird in an area that would conceal them. Then the three exit the jet, Scott leading the way, Kurt walking next to Remy as he shuffled cards in his hands while Raven watched in curiosity. "You think she'll have Rogue's powers or yours?" Kurt asks.

Remy glanced to his brother-in-law. "I can already tell she'll have mine. De eyes, dere de same as mine." He smiled down at his daughter as he held a Queen of Hearts in his hand, her little hands reaching out to touch it, but she lets out a laugh as he charged it up then took the charge away.

Scott stops and crouched down on top of a hill. He pulls out binoculars, then motions the other two to come over. Kurt crouched down while Remy sat in the grass entertaining his daughter but kept his red on black eyes looking up every now and then. "Logan said this warehouse was constantly having trucks going in and coming out every so often. Though he was not going to get close or go inside to find out what, he did pick up a scent that only left the facility every now and then." Scott says looking through the binoculars.

"Who was it?" Remy asks, looking at Scott.

"Trask. He's up to no good. Surprised he is out of prison. Makes me wonder if he isn't trying to start up the Sentinel program again."

Kurt shudders, remembering when he was in high school the X-men and Brotherhood teamed up to try and take down Magneto but ended up being beaten and four members captured by a prototype Sentinel. Remy's red on black eyes narrowed, his stomach in knots, also remembering the Sentinel going after the X-men and Brotherhood, capturing his now wife. "If he is makin' more Sentinels, shouldn' we stop 'im?" Remy asks, his voice a little tense.

"We don't know for sure if he is back to making Sentinels. We should let Logan know that the activity hasn't ceased though." Scott says getting up and starting to head back to the X-jet.

The other two follow, Kurt seeming a bit nervous but noticed how tense Remy was. "Hey, you okay man?" He asks.

Remy's facial features soften a bit as he looked at Kurt. "If Trask ever releases Sentinels again, we're gon' need t' be prepared. Can' risk losin' m' family."

His hand went to Raven who grabbed his finger with her tiny hands. Kurt nods. "Ja. Hopefully zat isn't ze case and Trask iz doin' somezing else, ja?"

Remy stayed silent. He runs his other hand through his disheveled hair. The trio and baby arrive back to the mansion, Scott taking off to find Logan while Kurt and Remy head out to the main area, only to find a tired and angry Rogue standing with her hands on her hips. "Uh oh." Kurt said. Kurt then gives a thumbs up to his brother-in-law. "Good luck!"

Kurt then teleports away, leaving Remy there with his wife. "Wait! Kurt-!"

Remy then looks at Rogue and gives a sheepish grin. "Bonjour Chére. Y' sleep well?"

Rogue makes a face. "Well ah was, but then ah noticed Raven wasn't in her crib when she didn't wake meh up ta be fed so Ah went lookin' fo' ya two and Jean told meh that she saw ya go on a mission with Scott and Kurt?"

"We were jus' observin'." Remy put his hands up. "'Sides, Kurt enjoyed de time wit' his niece and she got t' go out of de mansion."

Rogue narrows her eyes. Remy started to sweat a little, knowing when his wife was angry, she can be scary. But he always loved her fiery side. Took him a while to break down her walls and let him in. "Chére, 's okay, see? Raven is safe, I would've protected 'er wit' m' life. Y' trust dis Cajun, non?" Remy gave her a small smile.

Rogue looks to their daughter who was happily cooing. She sighs. "Ya ah trust ya, but don't eva do that again. Or else."

Remy just nods. Rogue's anger disappeared and she walked up to her husband, kissing their daughter on her head, then her husbands cheek. "So what did ya'll find or do?" She asks, her voice softer.

"Well, Scott t'inks he founds Trask's Sentinel buildin' factory." Remy shrugs a bit.

He saw the alarm and fear cross his wife's features. Rogue still has nightmares from time to time about the Sentinels from when she was younger. Back then they were on different sides, and she tried to stay as far away from the Acolyte called Gambit but he always appeared and tried charming her. Eventually, he found a way around her powers and broke down her walls. He even joined the X-men a while after Apocalypse was defeated, which meant she could not avoid him any longer. Remy grabs her shoulders, looking intently into her eyes. "Chére, I promise t' protect us if dat ever happens again, okay? Won' let dem take y' or Raven."

Rogue just nods, numbly. "Ah just hope we don't have ta deal with those Sentinels any time soon."

Rogue sighs, but gives a small smile. "Ya, well at least ya didn't do it again. Or else."

Remy gives his wife a grin and winks at her. "I still wanna know what dat or else is though."

"In yer dreams, Swamp rat." Rogue smirks.

"Aw, chére, dat's not nice." Remy gave a playful pout.

Logan rolls his eyes. But he was happy for the two. In the beginning he wasn't happy with the Cajun wanting to constantly be around Rogue but over time, he began to be fine, seeing how the New Orleans resident truly cared for the untouchable Rogue. Suddenly, Kitty phases into the room, out of breath and looking worried. "Guys, you like have to turn on the television."

"What's wrong chat?" Remy looks at Kitty.

The Professor and some of the others roll into the room, Scott turning on the tv. "This is very important, we should all watch what is happening." The Professor says.

Remy adjusts Raven in his arms where she is on his hip with her arms around his neck, while his free arm snakes around Rogue's waist. The others gathered around the wide screen television as the news anchor announces what is happening. "Breaking news, it was recently discovered that Trask's Sentinel program has been revived. In recents events more mutants have been popping up all over the world, some causing mayhem while others are afraid and living in fear. The Trask Sentinel program was revived to contain those who pose a threat to normal people and society." The reporter announced.

Everyone was tense in the room. Rogue stared at the tv with wide eyes, her hand squeezing Remy's shoulder while he lightly squeezed her waist, but on the inside he wanted to scream, in fear or was it anger? He wanted to take his wife and daughter and hide somewhere where the Sentinels could not possibly find them. He had to protect them, but Rogue was feeling the same. Raven was too young to know what was going on. She looked around the room noticing the different expressions of the mansions residents. Logan growls low, claws popping out. "This is ridiculous."

"I'm afraid our fears have come true. Though, I knew Trask was eventually going to be let out of prison but to be able to revive the Sentinel program was something I did not anticipate." Charles spoke.

Scott held Jean as she held their daughter Rachel. Kitty looked nervously at Colossus, who gave her a light squeeze to her hand. Kurt runs a hand through his hair. The younger students looked at each other worriedly. Storm looks to Beast, who nods. "Alright, kids, why don't we let the Professor and the team discuss things and I'll take you guys down to the danger room for a fun session?"

The kids follow Mr. McCoy out of the room, Charles thanking Beast. Jean tells Rachel to go play in the other room, Rogue and Remy telling Raven the same. The two young girls, still not understanding what was happening happily went into the other room and started to play. The room was silent as the news still ran. "We must prepare for the worst," Charles says. "We do not know if the institute will be safe for the younger students, if need be we have safe houses set up all over the country, though I hope we won't have to use them."

"Let's face it, Chuck," Logan started. "No where is safe with those Sentinels up and running now. Hell, we don't know if they'll be hunting us again, considering Trask wanted us captured. Few of us here were captured-experimented on"

Rogue shudders, wrapping her arms around herself. Remy pulled her tight to him, sensing her uncomfortableness. Charles lets out a sigh. "Yes, I am aware. We'll be keeping an eye out for anything unusual. I suggest increasing danger room sessions so everyone can be prepared."

The rest of the day, everyone was on edge, but did their normal things. Dinner time rolled around, everyone grabbing what they wanted and sitting wherever. Remy watched his wife carefully. Though she was smiling at their daughter as she was helping her with her food, he can tell she had a lot on her mind. He was an empath after all, he always knew what his wife was feeling even if she masked it from others.

Once their daughter was put to bed in the adjacent room, Remy looks to Rogue who was getting ready for bed. "Y' seem way t' tense, chère." He comments.

Rogue looks up to meet her husbands eyes, he was giving her a small smile. She bites her lip. "All this stuff that's happenin… Ah mean ah knew the Sentinels would come back at some point but..ah didn't think it'd be when we have our daughter and… It's just crazy. Ah wouldn't want anythin' ta happen ta ya or our daughter, Rem's."

Remy places a hand on her cheek, she leans into it. "I know, Anna, but for now we gon' jus' have t' do what de Professor says and take precautions. I wanna make sure y' and Raven are safe, t'."

Rogue turns her head and kisses the inside of his palm. "Ah just hope we can shut it all down befo' anyone gets hurt…"

Remy kisses her head, pulling her close. He leads them to bed, both slowly falling to sleep in each others arms.

The mansion was quiet as the residents were all sleeping soundly, not a single mutant awake. Logan twitches in his sleep, his ears then perking and straining to hear a faint humming sound. His eyes open as he bolts awake and heads for his window. Logan's eye widen, cursing under his breath as he sees several Sentinels flying on the horizon towards the mansion. He rushes out of his room and into Charles, making the telepath wake up at the sound of Wolverine barging in. "Chuck! We got Sentinels!" Logan announced. "We gotta get everyone to safety! NOW!"

The Professor sits up, his eyes widen but then he closes his eyes and wakes up everyone with his telekinesis. "Everyone, wake up and get out of bed. We have Sentinels inbound towards the mansion. Quickly!"

Everyone bolts out of their rooms, everyone wearing pajamas. Jean holds Rachels hand as she and Scott rush out. Remy held Raven in one arm while Rogue held onto his other hand in a state of panic and shock. 'No.. not now.' She thinks to herself.

"Everyone, we have to leave! Head towards the woods, there's a bunker out there we might be safe in! If we stay here, we're as good as dead." Logan yells.

Everyone heads for the back of the mansion, knowing where to go as Logan made everyone do a training exercise on where the bunker was incase the Sentinels ever came back. The mansion creaks and cracks as the Sentinels tore into it. The younger students were the first outside and ran straight to the woods, not daring to look back. The older X-men tried to hold off the giant robots for the time being for everyone to make it out. Colossus yells to Kitty to take their kids out to the bunker, Kitty biting back tears as she held her 2 year old in one arm and her 3 year olds hand in her other. The metal man slams into one of the sentinels legs, leaving an incredible dent. Rogue shakes out of her shocked state and glares at the robots. She flies into the air and flies right through another Sentinel using her invulnerability. Remy uses his free hand, charging several cards and tosses them while still holding Raven. She watches as the Sentinel stumbles back from Rogue and Gambit's powers and explodes on the front grounds of the mansion. "Get out of here now!" Logan demands.

"Get Raven to safety." Kurt says.

"But Kurt-!" Rogue starts.

"Go! I vill be vight behind you." Kurt gives her a smile then teleports and helps Logan with another Sentinel.

After they stopped in the woods to catch their breath, only to start running again, the trio make it to the safe house bunker. Before they could enter, they hear loud explosions off in the distance where the mansion was. She sees some figures coming into view, recognizing some and sighs in relief, but then her brows furrow. Logan winced as he limped a bit over to Rogue and Remy. His healing factor starts to kick in as he stops in front of them, his eyes showing sadness and anger. "Logan…? What's wrong?" Rogue asks.

Logan looks away, not wanting to look her in the eyes before he answered. "Some of them… didn't make it.."

Rogue gasps. "Who? Logan tell meh!"

"Who didn' make it?" Remy asks.

Logan lets out a defeated sigh. "They got the Professor… Scott… Jubilee.. Rahne… Hank… and…"

"And?" Rogue looks at him in waiting. She can see he was hesitating. "Logan… don't tell meh…"

"I'm sorry stripes…" Logan sighs. "We lost Kurt too."

Remy's eyes widen, Rogue lets out a stifled sob as her shaking knees gave out beneath her. "No! Ya lyin'! Kurt can't be gone!"

"I'm so sorry, Rogue, but he got caught in the crossfire like Scott… they didn't see it coming. Trask amped these Sentinels up since our last fight with them."

"Is mama okay?" Raven asks softly.

Remy's jaw was clenched as he tried to fight back some tears. He turns to Raven and sets her down and placed his hands on her shoulders and gave her a smile. "Mommy's upset right now, petite. Yer uncle.. he uh… he is gone."

"But why hasn' he come back?" Raven asks.

"He not comin' back, petite…" Remy gave her a small, sad smile. "He… he won' be back fo' a while."

"Uncle Kurt leave us?"

"Oui…"

Remy wraps his arms around Rogue as she cried, Raven giving her a hug while Remy held them both. Logan had his fists clenched. He helps a beat up Colossus inside, Storm standing up in alarm at the state at those who made it back. Jean looked around for her husband, knowing she felt a pang in her chest meant something went wrong. "Scott?" She calls out.

"Sorry Jeanie… Scott didn't make it." Logan solemnly says.

Jean covers her mouth as tears started to pour out. Rachel felt tears stream down her cheeks as she heard the news, hugging her mom. Storm gives Logan a sad look. "The Professor…?"

Logan shakes his head. Everyone in the room gasps. "Hank almost made it but these machines had lasers this time to get us. We don't stand a chance."

Remy took Rogue and Raven inside the safe house and closed the door. Rogue sat on a bed with Raven in her arms, sniffing. Everyone was tired, but there was grieving all around. Logan had a small meeting with the remaining older X-men on what the next plan is. "Alright team… it's been a long night. We've… lost some good X-men tonight… including the Professor. I think our best bet is to split into teams and take some students to the other safe houses. We can keep in touch to give each other updates." Logan looked around at the solemn faces.

"Is it really such a good idea to split up Logan?" Jean asks, worry on her face.

"It's the best and only option right now. I say each of us take a group of kids, I'll take one, Jean-you and Bishop can stay at this bunker, Kitty and Piotr take some kids to the California one, Rogue and Remy-take some to the Louisiana one, I'll take some to the Canada one with Storm and Forge. Some of the new recruit X-men will assist with everyone." Logan looks around the remaining team as he speaks.

Everyone shared worried glances, but they all nodded in silent agreement. It all came down to protecting the remaining students and getting them to safety. Logan instructs everyone to get some rest as the plan is to leave first thing in the morning. As the lights went out, everyone sleeping on cots, cushions and blankets, Logan quietly stalked around, taking charge to be the lookout-as he had heightened senses unlike everyone else. As he walked around, eyes scanning over everyone, his heart sent a pang of guilt for Jean as he saw her sleeping with her daughter curled up in her arms. His eyes turned to where Kitty and Piotr were sleeping, their two young kids balled up in their arms-well Kitty holding them while Piotr's large frame encased them in his arms. He felt bad that Kitty's kids were so very young and experiencing this, but then again none of the kids should be experiencing this.

He glances over where Remy slept with Raven in his arms. Logan admits he never liked the Cajun when he first joined the X-men. Let alone trying to get close to Rogue. Eventually he saw his intensions good as he has proven himself to be a great X-man, far from the Acolyte he used to be. It made his mouth turn up just very slightly thinking about how much Rogue hated the Swamp Rat-both when he was an Acolyte and when he first joined the team, but eventually her walls came down and she grew softer for him. Logan was happy for the untouchable used-to-be goth. She has grown so much over the years into the strong woman she is today. And to have something she thought she would never be able to have, too. Love and a family.

Logan noticed Rogue was not curled up with her husband. He sniffs the air and caught her scent elsewhere. Following it, it lands him outside the bunkers bathroom. Rogue walks out silently, rubbing her puffy eyes. She stops when she notices Logan standing there. "Can't sleep…" she mumbles.

For a second, Logan saw teenage Rogue-the one who always closed her emotions around everyone, but she was a bit more open with him-just slightly. The only other person she would be open to at that time was Kurt. Now Kurt's gone. He sighs. "It's alright, Stripes. It's been a rough night for everyone."

Rogue nods and looks down, her arms wrapped around herself, mainly around her stomach and waist area. Logan raises an eyebrow, noticing her posture. "You okay?" He asks.

"Ah'm just not feelin' well… haven't fo' a while ah guess but it's worse tonight 'cause… well… ya'know. The Professah's gone… Hank… Scott…Kurt… We've lost so many people tonight…" Rogue shuffled her feet, uncomfortable.

Logan can sense the unease but also something else. Fear? But then again everyone was scared. But then he could smell something else, something mixed. "You sure that's all?" Logan raised and eyebrow inquisitively.

Rogue bit her lip, then nodded quickly. Logan sighs, he wasn't going to pry anything from her that she didn't want to tell him. He never pushed or forced anything from her, same with Remy. Remy never pushed her either, unless he was toying with her but when it came to Rogue's emotions both men knew that she would come around when she is ready. Rogue's always had trouble expressing her emotions, even to those close to her. But over time she got better.

Rogue mumbles about going to bed to try and get some sleep and shuffles past him. He knew something was up, but for now Logan let her walk to the bed where her husband and daughter were sleeping. He watched her small frame gently get into the bed and curl up under the blankets. Immediately after she gets in, Remy had sensed her get in to the bed as he slept, pulling her to him so he can nuzzle both his girls close. Logan's mouth twitched into a very small smile, then he walked around the bunker, checking on supplies and whatever else he noted had to be checked on before the morning.

Once morning had hit, Logan enters into the main sleeping area to find Remy awake, sitting up very slightly in the bed but his arms draped around a sleeping Rogue and Raven. His red on black eyes were distant as he spaced off, but then they looked up to see Logan's form standing there. "Sleep well gumbo?" Logan asks, his voice quiet to let the other's sleep.

Remy gave a slight trademark smirk. "As well as it'll eve' be, mon ami. Couldn' help but notice Rogue getting in an' outta bed though last night."

"Yeah, she said she didn't feel well, but also couldn't sleep. Don't blame her though. Been a hell of a night last night." Logan shrugged.

Remy looked away from Logan's gaze, nodding. "Well, after all, she did lose her brotha t' dose damn machines. De fact dat dis is happenin', again…."

"Yeah, well, I'm thinkin' of payin' Trask a visit myself and shut all of this down. No more mutants need to die or be captured. Especially the kids. They don't know what happened all those years ago when the first Sentinel was unleashed. I hope Raven never has to experience what Rogue went through though…" Logan's fists clenched, but his claws remained sheathed.

He noticed Remy's jaw tighten, knowing that even though he was on the opposite side at the time, he knew how bad it was when the Sentinel was unleashed. It made his gut wrench just thinking of his wife being experimented on-thinking Trask might find her absorbing powers useful for any future Sentinel upgraded, but luckily they didn't get that far as they escaped. "Yeah…" Remy says quietly.

His red on black eyes move down to the two sleeping forms in his arms, a strand of white hair laying across Rogue's face, while Raven laid there drooling a bit onto her dad's shirt. Logan sighs. "Well, i should get everybody up, we should get moving. You should wake them up."

Remy nods, then watches as Logan starts waking everyone up. He looks down and nudges his wife, who in response, mumbles something incoherently in her sleep and nuzzles into his chest more. Remy grins a bit, then moved down to her ear. "Anna, gotta wake up, chére."

"Fahve moar minutes sugah…" Rogue mutters.

"Logan says we gotta get up."

Rogue lets out a groan but then slowly opens her eyes. Remy tilts his head and grins at her. "Good mornin' sleepin' beauty."

Rogue makes a face but a small smile was on her lips. "Morning sugah."

Her face drops as she could feel her stomach churn. "Ah'll be back. Wake up Raven."

She then gets up, trying not to bolt to the bathroom. Remy watched, wondering if she was okay, then he nudges Raven gently. "Petit, wake up. We gotta get goin' soon."

Raven stirs then yawns. She stretches her arms and legs, her left hand lightly smacking into Remy's cheek. "Daddyyy!" She greets after stretching.

Remy chuckles lightly. "Mornin' mon trésor. Let's go see what mere is doin."

"Okay!" Raven jumps out of the bed, then uses her small legs to run off.

Remy follows her, then spots Rogue coming out of the bathroom. "Momma!" Raven cheerfully yells.

Rogue's face bursts out into a grin then picks her up and hugs her. "Hiya sugah. Ya sleep well?"

"Mmhm." Raven nods, her hair tousled and her small curls poking out in different directions.

Rogue smiles, then looks at Remy and gives him a kiss on his cheek. Remy pulls them close and kisses Rogue's head. "Y' okay chère? Logan says y' haven' been feelin' well."

"Ah'm sure it's just a stomach bug…" Rogue gave a small, reassuring smile.

Remy opens his mouth to say something but Logan's voice cut through. "Alright, listen up. We'll split into our teams once everyone's got some food in their systems. We'll go over the teams after breakfast, then-"

Logan pauses craning his head to the side, then swears under his breath. "shit… EVERYONE MOVE NOW!"

The room rumbles as there was a humming and heavy machinery sound outside the bunker. Everyone starts heading to a tunnel system that would take them outside the bunker. "Can't we catch a break?!" Bishop groans.

"Nope!" Logan growls.

The roof comes undone as a Sentinel tears it open, peering inside and seeing everyone scrambling to get out of sight. "Mutants, surrender or be destroyed." The robotic voice booms.

Storm summons thunder and heavy winds to push the Sentinel back, striking it in the shoulder but the Sentinel was prepared, as it had back up. "Ah'm gonna go help Storm!" Rogue announced.

"Wai- WHAT?! Anna-" Remy's red on black eyes widen as his wife hovers in the air ready to fight.

"After we get outta heah, ah gotta tell ya somethin' sugah. Ah'll be careful ah promise, jus' keep our daughter safe." Rogue kisses him, her hand unconsciously going to her stomach.

Rogue then flies right into the Sentinel, pushing it backwards. "Ya messed with the wrong mutants!"

"Mutant, stand down or be destroyed." The Sentinel commands.

Rogue dodges its arm, Storm summons more thunder and lightning hitting the other oncoming Sentinels. Bishop was firing his gun, helping out Storm as Rogue breaks apart the Sentinel she was fighting.

Remy watched from a distant, grinning, knowing his wife can kick ass. Raven claps in his arms. "Yaay momma!" She cheers. "Momma win!"

Rogue looks back, seeing her husband and some other X-men lingering behind for help. She sends a smile his way but it disappears as she hears Storm let out a scream. "Storm!" Rogue turns her head towards the weather goddess only to find her impaled by a Sentinel from behind.

"STORM!" Logan yells.

The Sentinel throws her body aside, then starts to head for the group. Raven lets out a whimper, Remy gritting his teeth as he readies a card. But what shocked everyone most was when one of the Sentinels used a familiar teleportation power to get behind the group, then it's eyes glow a deep red as it began to charge up. "Oh fuck…" Logan's eyes widen.

Remy shields Raven-his eyes shutting, ready to take the blast. When the blast was unleashed, Remy felt himself be moved, hearing a choking sound. "MOMMA!!" Raven's screaming made him open his eyes and look back, finding Rogue with a giant gash in her and blood slowly leaking from the corner of her mouth.

Time felt slow as he yells her name, Logan letting out a blood curdling roar and slicing the Sentinel. Rogue starts to fall towards the ground, but Remy uses his free hand and catches her, cradling her as Raven cries. "Nononono…. Anna please. C'mon chère. Stay wit' me."

"Momma.. wake up!" Raven cries.

Rogue tries to speak but could only mouth a few words. Remy cradles her, putting his forehead on hers and tries to fight back some tears. He let's out a groan, clenching his jaw as his red on black eyes glared in anger as some of the other X-men help fight off the Sentinels. "Lebeau! Lebeau!" Logan calls out.

Remy's stare moves over to Logan, then it softens as he looks down at Raven who was still crying. "Petit, i'll be right back. Logan is gon' take care of y' until papa comes back, okay?"

"Mommy coming back?" She sniffs. "You and mommy gonna come get me?"

Remy looks away, then he looks at Logan. "Logan, take care of my daughter. Get 'er and de ot'ers out of heah. Now."

"Are you out of your mind-?!" Logan starts to argue, but stops as he notices the look in his eyes.

Logan shuts his mouth, then takes Raven. "C'mon darlin.' Everyone else move out now."

Logan and the others start to go, Raven peeking over his shoulder as she looks at her dad who was looking back. "Daddy!"

"I'll be back petit." He says, then he turns and extends his bo staff from his pocket.

Raven watched as he got smaller and smaller, the Sentinels closing in on him as he distracts them. "Mutant, stand down or be destroyed."

"Y' jus' messed wit' the wrong family, cause now Gambit gon' take y' down!" Remy vents out, feeling the tears sting his eyes but he moved forward.

He slams his bo staff on the ground, energizing the ground around himself and the Sentinels. The explosion sends them back, but a few fight against it and move forward. Remy takes out his cards and starts charging them, yelling angrily as he throws them. The fight continued on, eventually Remy's bo staff being broken in half and have run out of cards. He breathes heavily, then looks over his shoulder, knowing his daughter and the others are far gone, then his eyes land on his wife who has bleed out on the floor. He then looks back to the Sentinels and looks down. "Forgive me mon trèsor…" he mutters, then using all his energy, Remy lights the wall next to him and the floor below him, causing the whole room to react in a large explosion.

Logan and the others felt the rumble of the explosion as they were away from the bunker. "Daddy…" Raven sobs.

"It's okay, darlin'. It'll be okay." Logan tries his best to soothe the little girl, then he looks to the remaining team. "There has to be something we can do. Anything."

"Well, i've been working on something and finished it before bed last night. I only have one and idk if it'll work but basically it's a device that allows you to travel back in time to a certain day to prevent this event from happening." Forge comes forward, holding a bracelet. "I could tap the time stamp into the bracelet and it'll take someone back to that day and year."

"We can go back and prevent the Sentinel attack…" Logan looks at the bracelet. "Do you think it'll actually work? Who are we going to send?"

"Well theoretically it should work, my inventions haven't failed me yet," Forge looks at Logan. "To answer who it would be, well, that depends. Do we send a current X-man or someone newer?"

"Send me." Logan says. "If it's me it'll be more believable."

"Well… the thing with sending back a current X-man is that if you bump into your past self there could be a problem. I'll put in the coordinates right now but once i do put them in, they're locked in. If we want to stop Trask we should make sure he never gets out of jail or even prevent the factory he was operating in from ever making Sentinels." Forge types in the coordinates, then looks around at everyone.

"Let me go, i can show the Professor and myself my memories and convince them to-"

"Jean, I know you miss Scott, but you should stay here to look after Rachel." Logan interjects.

"Please, Logan. Let me do this." Jean pleads.

"We have to decide now before those Sentinels send more." Bishop crosses his arms.

"Maybe I should go, after all, it looks like the time you put in has me still in the Acolytes." Piotr offers.

"Pete.. what if we like don't believe you though? Er the younger us doesn't." Kitty asks, putting a hand on her husbands arm.

Everyone tries to voice their opinion, Logan had set Raven down since he was getting upset with Bishop as the two argued. Forge tries to diffuse the situation, the bracelet handing from his fingers. Raven tilts her head to the side as she looks at it, then she grabs it, thinking it's a dress up toy as she puts it on her wrist. She lets out a giggle as she tugs on Logan's pants. "Look, dress up!"

"Hold on darlin-wait WHAT?!" Logan looks down but then it was too late. Raven glows, then she disappears. "Oh fuck. OH FUCK! Forge, how do we get her back?!"

"She won't be able to until she either changes the outcome of the future or the bracelet breaks…" Forge sheepishly says.

Logan runs his hands down his face. "This is fucking bad."
