(this story idea came to me while I was in the shower, it's also my first fanfiction so there will be mistakes obvs)

Hachiman was enjoying his day in Chiba, it had been three years since he graduated and married Yukinoshita and life had been much better. He walked into a coffee shop to get a donut before work as he worked at a massive office complex that was owned by YinCorp, mostly an investment firm but the company sometimes ventured into other territory such as a fastfood chain once.

He glanced at a newspaper on the rack and read the headline

"BREAKING: GOVERNMENT SHAKEUP, IMPERIAL PARTY WINNING ELECTIONS"

Hachiman stared blankly at the newspaper chalking it up to fear mongering and ordered a creme filled chocolate glazed donut and a skinny latte. He then exited and went on his way as his work was only a block away from his apartment. Once he arrived he clocked in with the secretary who was Yui Yuighama.

"hey yui, how are you today"

"oh I'm doing fine, how are you with yuki, hmmm," yui said fairly antagonisticly, this was because she was still upset she got turned down by Hachiman.

"um anyway I brought you a donut"

Hachiman handed Yui his donut over due to fear of being reported to HR over a petty rivalry between them and hurried off to his cubicle. He turned on his company computer which was running off Windows 10 despite the IT departments constant nagging about how it sucked and he started copying and printing files.

around 3 hours later after some trivial conversations between him and his coworkers about TV last night or some issue they had the manager came in and made an announcement.

"Attention everyone. listen up. today I have big news, Yincorp has been bought out by a company called Shogun Industrial, they are relegating our department to handle transactions between the government and them regarding military weaponry and vehicles."

the department burst into semi loud whispers to eachother about this news.

"we've been bought out, does this mean there will be a mass layoff"

"I can't be fired I can already barely afford my apartment"

the manager noticed the unrest and quickly moved to assure everything was gonna be alright.

"Attention again. nothing is gonna change except for the paperwork your dealing with. the government anticipates a war soon so Shogun has bought us out to enhance their work force to ensure everything gets done on time as if there is a war they will be selling a lot."

this reassuring however made people burst into even more conversation on a potential war between Japan and it's allies and China.

"did you hear that China has been massing artillery on its coastline."

"I heard they have a supersoldier division ready to paradrop into Taiwan."

the manager blew a whistle to restore order, gave a glare to the loudest of the bunch and left. shortly the excitement died down and everyone started finishing up the last Yincorp documents before the change began.

as closing time drew near Hachiman got up and organized his belongings before clocking out and waving bye to Yui as he left, since he walked to work he didn't have to worry about rush hour traffic and only worried about a potential mugging but crime in the area was very low.

as he was walking home he saw a sign being removed from a building and another being hoisted up. it read "Shogun Industrial"

Hachiman smiled awkwardly as he thought to himself. "they're buying up a lot of businesses aren't they."

soon he arrived home and was greeted by his wife Yukinoshita rushing out of the apartment and tightly squeezing him around the chest.

"oh I'm so happy your home, I made dinner, it's roasted ham."

"oh really, thanks yuki, I love you."
