Fisher Tiger stared at the small, red-haired kid in front of him. She has what to be the most vibrant red mane he has ever seen in Fish-men or human in that matter.
"Could you repeat that?" He asked her again, thinking he may be mishearing what she was actually saying. He is pretty sure her current expression is "are you deaf?"
"I said, I wanna join you in assaulting Mariejois." She said, very calmly as if she just discussing the weather with him and not an assault on the Holy Land of Mariejois.
"O...kay. But why do you want to attack Mariejois?" Why did this little girl want to do so? Is she wants to free slaves as he does? Or there are other reasons?
Picking up the cooked piece of meat, she stared at the meat before biting it slowly. He waited as he also ate other pieces of meat. A thought crossed his mind. This could be his last meal. Huh, strangely his probable, imminent death doesn't make him lose appetite. He patiently waits for her answer, savoring the taste of meat meanwhile. The silence reigned, until...
"Are you a former slave of a Celestial Dragon?" She suddenly asked after a while. She tossed the bone from the meat she eating earlier into a steadily growing pile of bones.
"Yeah, and that's the reason why I'm planning to attack Mariejois." He said, after a brief period of contemplating whether to lie or tell her the truth. In the end, he chose to tell the truth. There's no harm in telling her so. She could be lying? No, she is sincere in her question and considering the look of hatred when she mentioned the Tenryuubito, as if she is repulsed by the act of just saying it, she has no love for them. "To free the slaves."
"Is that so? Your goal is really noble. So different than mine..." She said, looking at her tiny hand.
"What's your reason then?"
"I want to kill Celestial Dragons. I just want to show the world that Celestial Dragon is not a god like they proclaimed to be. I want to let the world know that they are still humans that could be killed." She said, with the conviction that surpassed every human he ever met.
"That's..." He is stumped. This little human says wants to kill a Celestial Dragon! He wants to say that is a very stupid idea, that she is crazy for even considering that. No, he is the same, isn't it? He wanted to attack Mariejois to free the slaves alone. Well, two people now. Even her goal is just slightly different than his. Evidently, their goal crossed somewhere in between. Nevertheless...
"...is quite a goal. But do you have the strength to do so?" No. He will not ridicule her goals, even if it was impossible. Rather, it's doable, but it's the forces the Celestial Dragons have under them that make it near impossible.
"I do, those CP0 is nothing but a weakling. I even killed two of those before. Rokushiki? Even I could do that. Well, my own variation of Rokushiki at least. They may seem strong, but compared to some guys out there, they may just like a fly trying to kill a Sea King."
"Before? Wait, how old are you right now?" If he is puzzled before, now he is even more. A kid like her defeating CP0 members? He knows that while CP0 is nothing to the big fish of the latter half of Grandline, their strength is nothing to be scoffed at either. If he fought one of them, sure he could manage that, but two? He will surely lose to them, he is certain of that.
"I'm three then. Now I'm five." She said nonchalantly, while she started to do some shadow boxing, with punches and kicks too fast for his eyes to follow.
Although what she just says is hard to believe, strangely, he believes her. "So, can I let all the fighting to you then?"
"Eh, sure." She stopped. "So when will we gonna begin?" She looked at him.
He smiled.
She had gone first, with such inhuman grace, scaling the Red Line, creating some dent in her way up, making scaling Red Line easier for him later.
He shuddered, remembering their conversation right before she begin climbing Red Line.
"Hmm, I'll be the distraction Fisher-guy, so I will go first."
"Alright, you-wait, you never tell me your name."
"Ruby. My name is Ruby." Ruby, huh? Her name definitely fit her mane and fiery red ruby.
"Ruby? Got any family name?" He asked.
"Why do you want to know?" She looked at him with suspicion.
"No reason. It's okay if you don't want to tell me."
She sighed. "I can tell you my full name but you must never tell anyone. Can you do that?"
"Alright, I can do that."
"My full name is Rocks D. Ruby."
Rocks! He had heard of a guy with the same surname as her. Extremely violent and strong. If she did have a familial relationship with that guy, no wonder she can do all she said before. Looking up, it looks like she has already arrived at the top. With her as his partner, he is sure this attack on Mariejois will succeed. Cracking his fingers, he begins climbing the Red Line.
Those CP0 and Celestial Dragons will never know what hit them.
AN:
Ruby is Ranma, but not the canon Ranma. This Ranma is from another fanfic.
Is Ruby here overpowered? Yes, I intentionally make her so. But hey, her brother is Rocks D. Xebec, captain of the strongest pirate crews. So it makes sense she is also powerful. Plus, while her memory is all gone, memories of all her skills and techniques are still there.
Note: Ruby uses both Ki and Haki. The former, only she can use it.
Fisher Tiger doesn't use Haki here.
