Okay Chapter 3 done and dusted, I still always feel like there's so much more that I can add to these, but I need to stop myself sometimes cause I don't want to actually bore any of you that read this little story of mine.

I hope so far it's up to peoples liking's this is something I've been thinking about for a little while and I'm actually feeling a little weird about writing it up to put -out there- for people to read, but, I hope you enjoy it anyway. A lot of this is written, then 're-written' at the end of the day before uploading it, so I'm sorry if some words look out of place or jumbled, i begin writing it on my phone before typing it up again on my computer.

I'm also going to try and see if I can get a chapter out every 2 days or so, having them roughly be around 2.5 to 3 thousand words each chapter (give or take of course, my little comments here I try not to add to the total), so sometimes there might be a small cliff-hanger, but don't worry, it'll be updated soon!

Enjoy!

'Princess'

"You quickly turned around to find where the voice was coming from, once again seeing an all too familiar face. In your drunken state, you had become visibly upset about not being able to find your precious Twizzlers in a timely fashion and your eyes began to water as your bottom lip started wobbling slightly.
"Jesus- Princess r'you alright? Whats wrong?" Eddie dropped his basket where he stood a couple of feet away from you to come up and put his hands on your shoulders, eyes darting around your face and body for any signs of bruises or worse, possible 'battle scars' from tonight's party, "Did somebody touch you?... Hurt you?", you shook your head "I... I can't find the Twizzlers..." a single tear had escaped and began falling down your cheek, even just saying it out-loud got you more worked up.
"Eddie sighed, "You're... you're crying, because... because you can't find any Twizzlers..?" he let go of your shoulders and now pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration, closing his eyes, 'Of course it's because of something so stupid..', you could only muster up a pathetic nod as he groaned, "Why... why would I think that you'd be in some kind of... actual danger? You're still such a baby..". Munson turned slightly to face the aisle, looking for only a brief moment before picking out a bright red package, placing it in your hands and then wrapping his hands around yours to make sure you had a grip on it, "There, ya happy now your royal highness?" he leaned forward slightly to get a better view of your face, sounding as sarcastic as he always does. "Mmhmm!" you looked up from your hands to give him a big goofy smile, like a child who was just been given the greatest birthday present they've ever received in their life, only fueling the fire and making Eddie's heart skip yet another beat, he hasn't seen you be that generally happy around him in... well years, but it felt like centuries to him.

"Good... good to know then princess, now, run along back to your friends and let them know you accomplished your little quest here" he moved his hands away from yours, patting you on the shoulder instead, he didn't want you to notice how clammy his hands had become since you smiled at him moments ago. "Oh, I'm not here with anyone, I'm gonna walk home! Thanks Edds!" you said cheerfully, turning around quickly and practically skipping your way out of the aisle towards the cash registers. "Wait.. walked- what? Mills!" Eddie quickly grabbed his basket back up and speed-walked his way up to you to catch you before you left.
"So... tell me 'again' why you thought it was a good idea to 'WALK' to Bradley's Big Buy from your house?" Eddie had somehow managed to get you into his van so he could drive you home, it was a bit of a struggle, lots of people stared, Eddie had to explain countless times that he wasn't abducting you, it was a little funny.
"Because I really wanted Twizzlers, and it's only like.. 10 minutes down the road" you held a Twizzler in your mouth, chewing on it as you rocked side to side enjoying the faint music from Eddie's stereo, "10 min- Milly. Bradleys Big Buy is like... a 15 minute DRIVE, jesus, you would have been walking for like... 40 minutes or something, how the hell..?" Eddie kept peering over at you as his drove, making sure you weren't going to choke or worse still, vomit in his 3rd most prized possession. "Pffft 40 minutes? Yeah right, what do you take me for? Some kind'a …. sloth person?" you laughed at your joke, well to you it was a joke, not so much to Eddie, "Plus, I'm not a child... or a baby, I can survive on my own" you farrowed your brows slightly, still chewing upon your Twizzler. "Survive? Milly you were crying because you couldn't find Twizzlers just now..." he scoffed, "It was cute, but c'mon princess, now I wouldn't call that 'surviving' I would-" "-Stop calling me that!" you interrupted him, causing him to flinch suddenly from you raising your voice at him, "You always called me that when we were younger... You lost that privilege when we got to highschool... I don't want to hear it anymore" slouching further into your seat as you finished talking, your voice becoming quieter.
"There was a brief silence on the trip to your house, only being broken by Eddie by the time he turned down your street, his grip getting slightly tighter on the steering wheel "Lost the privilege?... Who's fault was that Emily? I never had a choice in the matter", it was rare for Eddie to use your full name, always opting out to use pet-names or your nick names instead, they made you more special to him that way.
"You nearly chocked on the piece of Twizzler when you heard his response "No choice?" turning your body towards him now, "It was entirely your fault!" the car was now coming to a halt in front of your house, the outside light was now left on, your parents but must have gotten up recently to leave it on for you. "You're the one that pushed me away after you left and started high school!"

"You walked a couple of blocks towards Barrow Park, the street where Eddie Munson lived with his mother, the two of you had been friends since you first arrived in Hawkins when you were 7 years old and he was 8. The two of you were practically joined at the hip, or that's how your mother would put it, she was always worried about you being friends with a boy, but she was happy that you were finally improving since you had moved states.
"It was the year 1980, you had turned 13 early in the year and Eddie had started highschool, being there so far for a month and a half. Both of you dreaded this day, this meant it was going to be a full YEAR until you can see Eddie again for a normal 7 hours a day, 5 days a week, and god did you hate every moment that you couldn't hang around with your best friend, it was as if you were missing your better half.
"Walking down the long driveway of the single-story home, you could start to feel your stomach go un-easy, it's been a month since you two last truly spoke, it was when you said your last goodbyes before he had to start school the next day. Eddie had promised that he would try to speak to you as much as he could, but you had barely had a full-length phone call since and you were barely getting any sleep from how upset you were about it.

"You turned the door knob and let yourself in, Lisa, Eddies mother, had practically seen you as a second child so it was always normal to have to waltz in and out of the home whenever you felt like hanging out with the Munsons. Mrs. Munson stood in the kitchen drinking some sort of brown drink, it was only 1pm in the afternoon, "Oh, hello Emily.. Edds in the garage, he has some friends over I think, so" she always seemed a bit out of it lately, but you could never put your finger on it. "Oh that's okay Mrs. Munson, I just wanted to see him for a sec" you say, walking past her and heading straight to the door between the lounge-room and the garage, you were a woman on a mission. "MUM I told you we don't need anything! Leave us the fuck alone!?" you could hear being yelled by Eddie on the other said of the door after you knocked, you'd never heard him get that angry at who he thought was his mother before, was that... normal? "Uhh... it's not her Eddie..." you managed to say, 'was this even a good idea anymore?' you couldn't help but nervously play with the hem of your light blue tank-top, "Oh shit!" hearing the sound of someone nearly tripping over some furniture to get the the door, actually, did that sound like two people? The door handle was fumbled around a little with grunts being heard on the other side before it being opened, showing a person you had never seen before, he was tall, longish hair, a little on the heavier side and had the shadow of a choppy looking beard, you noticed some smoke bellowing out from above the door as well. "Ooooh hello cutie, are you here for little Eddie hmm?" the unfamiliar fellow leaned on the door way looking you up and down, it made you feel even sicker, "Dan c'mon man MOVE, outta the way big boy!" Eddie squeezed himself into the picture, trying to push 'Dan' out of the way and back into the garage, "Seriously go cool your jets, I know its been a while since a girl has been in your presence but SHEESH" laughter could be heard from the other guys sitting around in Eddies garage, he stepped more into the lounge-room and closed the garage door behind him, allowing there to be some 'privacy' between the two of you.

"So- uhh what's up? Could have called first Milly-babe" he looked flustered, running his hand through his hair to get the random strands out of his face. "Could have..? I have called Eddie... you never seem to be home, or you forget to call back.." your arms were now crossed on your chest, you were right, Eddie had been neglecting your calls since he started school, "Look I try to princess.. it's just.. the guys" he motioned back towards the garage door, "they're always wanting to hand out after school, y'see they have this game yeah? And it's sooo fun, it's called Dungeons and Drag-" you tried to interrupt him before he could continue his rant, "That doesn't excuse not calling back to at 'least' say sorry Eddie? I thought I knew you better then that?" dropping both arms to your sides in defeat. "Look princess... I'll have time to hang out with ya later yeah? I promise. Just, let us finish up this campaign alright?", Eddie now turned slightly to the door, still making eye contact with you before slightly opening it, "sure..." you replied in a completely defeated tone, you wanted to believe him when he said that, but something told you not to.

"You promised me you would hang out with me, but you lied! You ignored me until 'I' started highschool, but by that time I had already moved on... I did cheer-leading and art 'just' so that I could focus on something else that wasn't 'you'..." feeling the warmth of more tears falling down your cheeks as your voice began to get louder with anger, "you know how much that hurt me Eddie? Knowing that my best friend didn't want anything to do with me any more? I hated every fucking minute of it!" you took off your seat-belt and jumped out of the passenger door, slamming it behind you and making your way over to the drivers side where the window was open so Eddie could continue to hear your onslaught, "And not only that? You and your 'friends' did nothing but harass me for the rest of my time at that shithole! Sure, the Jocks threatened you just as much, but at that point it was like some sort of sick revenge for me!"

"You wiped your eyes before continuing, lowering your voice this time "All I did was hang around you, spend my all my time with you, but you threw me away the first chance you got, huh?", Eddie just sat there and listened to you, he wasn't sure how to respond, had he known that he hurt you that much after that day, he would have tried harder, he didn't even realize how much he 'actually' ignored you back then. To him, you were the one that ignored him when you first started high school, seeing you on the first couple of days in that cheer-leading uniform, he kind of thought it was some silly joke you were playing on him 'No way you'd even be a part of -them-' he thought, 'There's no way that you would stoop to that level, never, as if'. That first year where he was in high school and you weren't, was the quickest a year has ever gone for him, it felt like it was over in a blink of an eye, he started feeling really sick in the stomach when thinking back about it all, the guilt was starting to eat him up inside until he was nothing left.
"Finally turning around to apologise to you, he noticed that you disappeared. You left while he was thinking, slightly sobering up and starting to get embarrassed about everything that you had just said, who knew nearly 4 cans of beer would give you this weird courage to say how you feel to someone?
"Mills?" Eddie said, popping his head out of the driver seat window and looking around, the light out the front of your home turned off and after a couple of short moments the light of your bedroom had turned on and caused your closed curtains to turn a glowing pink colour.
"Leaning his chin the frame of the doors window, he sat there for another minute deciding what the best way to go about all of this, 'man you really know how to make a guy feel like crap Mills', he sighed before opening the door, closing it, then making his way over to your bedroom window.

"You sat there on your bed, you were so angry, your face felt hot, the tears still haven't stopped though they did slow down and you couldn't get yourself to stop playing with the hem of your shirt. You were sure that it felt right to actually get some things off your chest that you had felt for so long, but you couldn't help but feel slightly guilty about it too. You turned quickly towards the window sill once you heard it slightly lifting open, then kneeling down at the side of your bed and moving your hand around rapidly looking for something that you could grab to defend yourself by what ever the hell was trying to get into your room at the moment 'Damn, nothing, I'm fucked', "Ow.." suddenly there was a an outline of someone on the other side of your long curtains, "y'know, that was always so much easier when I was younger" it was Eddie, he got up from the floor and moved the curtains out of his way, rubbing his head where he most likely landed coming in through your window./p
"Eddie? The 'fuck' are you doing? Get out!" you say in an angrily hushed tone, walking towards him, "What? No way princess- jesus, this room hasn't changed at all" he moved past you in amazement, your room literally hadn't changed since you were 10, you absolutely hated it. What was currently happening right in front of you though? You hated that more, "Munson. Get. Out"

"Oh puh-lease princess, isn't this like, every girls dream? To have a guy come into their room late at night while their parents are alseep?" He was here to apologize to you, but he couldn't help but tease / poke fun at you when you acted all serious-like. "Look, I'm not going to be long" raising his hands in defeat, "I just wanted to come past and... well apologise" he turned his back to face you once more walking around and looking at everything in your room, his black boots dragging across the pale pink carpet of your room. "... huh?" you weren't going to lie, hearing Eddie actually say the word 'apologize' took you by surprise, "apolog-", "Oooh whats this? Box of... toys?" Eddie gave you a side-eye glance before reaching down for the shoe-box that was next to your dresser.
"Eddie.. you 'kay there?" the boy stood there for a good minute or two before you made your way over to him, looking as though he wiped something off his face he turned around to face you, "Y- .. yeah, you kept all this?" lowering the open box so that you can see the contents, it was all the things you had kept from the past. "Oh, yeah, I through a lot of that stuff in there when I started highschool, didn't have the heart to get rid of it all" you reached your hand out to rummage through the box before he moved around you to sit on your bed with it. "The old fair tickets... the photo's we took at that one crappy photo booth that you forced me to do with you... and, the mix-tape I made?" each time pulling out the item when he mentioned them, eyes beginning to look a little glass-y, ""oh right yeah, I tried to test that out this morning, don't know if it's damaged or my player just doesn't work anymore cause I couldn't get it to go", sitting down next to him, you reached to grab the mix-tape from the box, flipping it over to look again at the word scribbled on the back. "I can always make you another one y'know" Eddies voice was low, he hadn't made eye contact with you since he first looked at the box, "As long as your hand writings gotten better Munson, I can't make out shit on this" you chuckled as you handed him the tape, "What d'ya mean princess? Clearly this right here is uhhh Ozzai Owsburn..? Jesus" Eddie laughed along with you, it's been a little while since he last saw you genuinely smile, but laughing, now that was something that he hadn't see you do for literal years.
