After listening to a few Senki Zesshou Symphogear Radio episodes on YouTube, I got the hilarious idea of trying to write a Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Radio one-shot series, based on my fanfic "Crimson Star Priestess (New Version)".

The main host is going to be my original character, Estelle Malmström-Goodwin, and she will be interviewing the Yu-Gi-Oh! characters based on the chapters of the main story.

This is going to be written in a different type of style, but I hope you will like it.

Disclaimer: I do not own any Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's characters! I only own my OCs!

Radio Show 1: Satellite

*Plays the music ending when Estelle makes her intro*

Estelle: Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Crimson Star Priestess Radio! *Voice slightly echoes due to effect*

*The song ends*

Estelle: Hello, everyone! Welcome to the new radio channel "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Crimson Star Priestess"! I'm your host, Crimson Priestess of Miracles, but you can call me by my role, Estelle. Let me first explain what this channel is about, and don't worry; I'll be brief. *clears throat* This channel is more of a talk show where I'll be interviewing the characters from the popular fanfic "Crimson Star Priestess (New Version)", written and directed by yours truly, in different themes. You are welcome to send questions for the guests after this episode and, who knows; your question might get picked out and gets read out loud. I promise I'll let you know whose question got read by reading their names out loud. Now then… *puts her palms together, the skin contact making a soft noise* Let the first episode begin!

*Plays "Subtitle" from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Sound Duel 1 to the end before it switches to "Satellite" from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Sound Duel 1*

Estelle: Today's theme is Satellite and who knows more about Satellite than the main protagonist himself? Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the leader of Team 5D's, Satellite's Shooting Star, Fudo Yusei!

Yusei: Thank you for having me.

Estelle: *mumbles as quietly as she can while holding back her joyful shriek* I can't believe he's actually here…

Yusei: Umm… Estelle?

Estelle: Nothing! *laughs sheepishly before clearing her throat* So, Yusei, everyone who's been watching the original anime of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's is aware that you lived your entire childhood in Satellite, but not so many might know how it actually was like back in the old days. Could you give us an insight, please?

Yusei: Sure. Satellite was originally part of the main land of Domino City, but when Zero Reverse occurred, it caused a massive earthquake that split Satellite from the city. I heard there were many victims, but a few managed to survive. Those people tried rebuilding their home, but since they were cut out from the city, they were unable to get the supplies. It became worse when Sector Security seized control of the island and turned it into a recycle plant and started dumping marked criminals.

Estelle: Did this affect the island in any way?

Yusei: Immensely. Satellite started suffering by pollution. The air and water got contaminated and that resulted into a large devastating number of deaths by illness and starvation. However, by time, the people adapted to the new environment.

Estelle: You mentioned starvation… How did the food supply work? I can imagine you were unable to grow crops in the contaminated soil.

Yusei: Every week, Sector Security shipped food that got distributed in the markets as fairly as they could. Sadly, many wicked people stole food from the weaker ones and it often led to fatal incidents… *voice gets a little quiet*

Estelle: Oh dear… *voice a little stunned*

Yusei: *voice returns to normal* However, Martha never once became a victim. She was respected because she was running her orphanage. No one dared to harm her and the children, including myself, Jack, and Crow. In fact, the food got safely delivered by Sector Security every time, so she didn't have to travel all the way to the market and get jumped by mobs.

Estelle: *sighs in relief* That's a relief to hear.

Yusei: It was forbidden leaving the island if you attempted to head to New Domino City without a special pass, but fishermen had permission to leave the Satellite water and fish in the clear ocean, but they were always supervised by the coast guards. So, in a way, we had our own food supply when it came to protein.

Estelle: But wouldn't you get tired if you eat the same protein every day?

Yusei: A little… But in those days, you had to eat what you were served or else you could go hungry for days and surviving on scraps.

Estelle: True… *voice gets a little quiet as the noise of ruffling paper is heard* Since Sector Security took control over Satellite, I assume they were strict about the rules and laws, especially when it came to Duel Runner.

Yusei: Yes. It was illegal to own a Duel Runner, but just like with the fishermen, a few were allowed to keep them as long as they had a special permit that could only be obtained from Sector Security, like with Robert Pearson and Bolger.

Estelle: Pearson and Bolger… *mumbles quietly before the sound of a scribbling pen is heard* I better write down notes for the future episodes.

Yusei: *chuckles softly* Don't worry; I'll wait. I know this job is new for you and you're still getting used to it.

Estelle: *scribbling pen* Well, yes, and I did practice a lot before this day, but I'm still a little nervous. *laughs sheepishly*

Yusei: I think you're doing a great job so far.

Estelle: Thank you, Yusei… *voice turns a little quiet before it returns to normal* But I promise I'll do my best to become a great radio talk host. *noise of a pen being put down on the table* Okay, I have a couple of more questions. Because of the large number of criminals being dumped in Satellite, I can imagine the amount of crimes was increased and that made the island no longer safe and several Duel Gangs were formed, including yours which was called the Enforcers. I'm sure many wonder, including myself, how you met Kalin. When did that happen?

Yusei: Jack, Crow, and I met Kalin one random day while we were still living with Martha. Kalin was a couple of years older than us, but he was nice and enjoyed playing with us. We started looking up to him like a big brother. He told us his dream was to make Satellite safe again and protect the people from criminals who claimed zones of the island as their territories. Kalin tested our skills in Dueling, in which we beat him, and he made us the new members of the Enforcers. However, we couldn't join his gang yet. Martha had a rule that the children had to stay with her until they were thirteen years old. Only then were we able to leave the house and venture on our own in Satellite and survive with the knowledge we had obtained since childhood.

Estelle: It must've been tough trying to survive and make a living as teenagers. You were, technically, still kids that needed a guardian.

Yusei: Yeah, but the rules were different back in those days. Besides, Jack, Crow, and I didn't want to burden Martha. New orphans kept coming and we didn't want to take up space that was needed for the children. Sometimes, we even visited Martha and brought some of our food so she could feed them. There were times we had to starve ourselves just to preserve the little food we got from the weekly distribution.

Estelle: Wait, what?! *exclaims in a loud surprised voice* You intentionally starved yourselves just to preserve food?

Yusei: Yeah… *slight awkward voice* And when the words of the Enforcers got spread, the other gangs sometimes ambushed us just to steal our share of the food. We often returned to the hideout safely with most of it, but there were times we returned with only bruises, cuts and black eyes.

Estelle: *angry voice* How infuriating! They attacked you out of nowhere without even Dueling for the food?!

Yusei: That mainly happened at the beginning, but after a few encounters, we decided to bring our Duel Disks along so we could get the upper hand if the gangs attacked us again. Thanks to the Duel Disks I modified with the special handcuffs, we were able to destroy their Duel Disks after defeating them. After that, they never tried fighting us again after we gave their own medicine back.

Estelle: It's so impressive you already had those magic hands of yours back when you were a child. *giggles softly* You really are your father's son, Mister Fudostein.

Yusei: *chuckles sheepishly* I always enjoyed tinkering with machine parts even as a little kid. Dr. Schmidt brought some old parts over whenever he was visiting Martha, so I took those and learned how to repair them on my own without any manuals.

Estelle: So you're an autodidact. *voice turns a little quiet* I can relate to that… *voice returns to normal* I see we're running out of time, so I will ask one last question of this radio show… What was your main goal while you were living in Satellite?

Yusei: My goal…? *voice fades away for a couple of seconds* My goal was a dream shared with Jack and Crow. It was to reunite Satellite with New Domino City and brighten up the future with hope for everyone. And we made that dream a reality.

*Soundtrack "Satellite" from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Sound Duel 1 comes to an end*

Estelle: With the new Daedalus Bridge… *chuckles softly* I'm glad I was able to share that with you guys. Thank you so much for coming to the radio show and sharing the insight of how Satellite used to be in the old days, Yusei. It was very informative.

Yusei: You're welcome, Estelle. And thank you for inviting me to the first show. I enjoyed it.

*Plays "Notice" from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Sound Duel 1*

Estelle: And to the listeners at home or at work or wherever you are, thank you so much for tuning in. I hope you had just as much fun as I did with Fudo Yusei. Next time, we'll have four guests and they are Yusei's four friends who helped him build his famous Duel Runner Yusei Go; Tank, Nervin, Blitz, and Rally. If you have any questions for them, make sure to write them as soon as possible. This is your host, Crimson Priestess of Miracles, of the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Crimson Star Priestess Radio signing out. May the stars of miracle shine upon you! Any last words, Yusei?

Yusei: Never lose hope no matter how dark the path looks like; you will reach the light at the end of the tunnel.
