Chapter 1: Making a Movie in Sharpsburg

One hot fourth Saturday of July 2022, I met up with my childhood friends Sarah, James, and Henri, as well as some of my other friends Alex Russo, Justin Evans, Max Greenwald, Carly Shay, Spencer Puckett, and Carly's stepdad, Freddie Benson, at Sharpsburg Community Park to make a movie about our life at Pittsburgh's Perfect Parties, entitled "A Day in the Life of Summer". "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. The craft featured was pom-pom fabric pens, and lunch consisted of cookout food (hamburgers and hot dogs), Chinese food, trail mix, decorating our own cupcakes, and mug cake. "The summer is the best time of year for a movie," James pointed out. "But, next time we should consider doing a back-to-school themed movie since it is getting to be that time of year. Most people have their first girlfriend by the time they start high school, but Phillis and I, of course, didn't last very long together." "Back to school would be interesting, James," Henri agreed. "Maybe next year, we will consider that, James," Sarah pointed out. "I needed to navigate my way around high school, when I was first starting," Carly pointed out. "I was able to help you out on your first day of school, Carly," Spencer fondly remembered. "Your mother and I told you that you would love high school if you gave it a try first, Carly," Mr. Benson pointed out. Then, we started filming the movie for an hour and a half. Once the movie was done, we had our usual dance parties to Santana and NSYNC. Pretty soon, it started to rain, so we then quickly headed for home. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
