The two initially don't want to leave their apartment being the Hikkikomori they're, and being pro gamers they're they never have trouble with money. However, the thought of time traveling and magic pique their otaku interest just enough to make them visit Chaldea.
"Senpai, what do you think of this world?" Mashu
"This world sucks, following a terrible rule that is no fun. On top of it, there is no means whatsoever to reach a happy ending. It is a trash game. But-" Sora
"But?" Mashu
"Even in this kind of world, there is still some hope left, as slim as that might be." Sora
