Summary: Everyone has heard all of Arcobaleno's past with the exemption of Skull's. Now they are very much invested in knowing how he becomes what he is today. But is it all there is to it? What they find, isn't what they very much expected.

Author's Note: This suddenly came to my mind as I read some AU of Skull's and the other Arcobaleno's and I suddenly questioned his Immortality. What if he was also like Checker Face? And Sepira? Add the background music as I read and this Story comes to life!

'This is it.' Tsunayoshi thought.

Kawahira, mostly known as Checker Face, is finally going to remove the Arcobaleno's curse. The strongest seven will finally be free, after decades of carrying the burden.

He sighed in relief. It was a close call too. If Talbot didn't arrive in time... He refused to imagine what would happen next.

Looking around, he smiled. Watching the relief and hope in their faces makes him feel light. Suddenly frowning, 'Why does it feel like something is wrong?'

"Are you sure?"

He blinked, turning to face Kawahira. "What?"

Surprisingly, Kawahira wasn't looking at him.

He was looking at Skull.

Everyone was shocked by his question. More importantly, why was he asking the Cloud Arcobaleno?

Skull frowned "What do you mean?"

"Are you sure about this? The Vindice will be the ones who will hold the pacifiers."

The other Arcobaleno were confused. What was Checker Face going about now?

Kawahira's face turns to surprise... Then glee "You mean, you didn't tell them?"

"W-What are you talking about, Kawahira?" Tsunayoshi looked between them. He was confused about what was happening right now.

The others were also confused. Is Kawahira trying to buy some time or something? What was he planning now?

"Hey, Kawahira! What are you playing at now!?" Gokudera growled.

Yamamoto narrowed his eyes. "You're not backing out now, are you?"

"Oya, now that is not good at all, Mr. Administrator." Mukuro surprisingly called out.

Enma nodded. "Y-You did promise after all."

Kawahira looks them in the eyes. "Of course. I will remove the curse as I promised." Then turned back to the Cloud Arcobaleno. "What I want to know is if he'll let the Vindice take the pacifiers without a fight."

Skull remains silent. His face was completely blank.

Kawahira continued, grinning. "After all, wasn't your goal to have me return all of the pacifiers to you?"
