Geri had always been a Walker in all but name but now it was official. "Geri Walker," she tested again.

Cordell chuckled as he rejoined his wife's side. "You still finding it surreal that we're married, Mrs. Walker?"

"This is our wedding reception," she marveled, glancing around the ranch and their guests.

"Hell yeah it is. You taking it all in?"

She nodded, sighing happily when he wrapped his arms around her. "Still feel a little guilty, like I'm stealing Emily's last name."

"And I've told you before that you haven't stolen anything. You've been a Walker for years - since the day we met - and the name is rightfully yours, Geraldine." He gave her a quick kiss.

"Thank you, Cordi." She then had to excuse herself to go talk to their numerous guests and thank them for coming.

The two of them milled around the ranch for a few more hours, grabbing something to eat and dancing, before things wound down for the night.

Geri and Cordell sat down on the porch to relax after changing clothes, their family joining them. They had taken some detours getting to this point but didn't regret their choices since it led them here.
