Chapter 1: Liar
Thunder roars over a darkened city, with an additional downpour washing away the lingering small blazes; scattered pieces of metal lay across the entirety of the streets, and a single turban, shattered by the top sits by its lonesome... How did all of this happen? It's a good question for sure...
*Two days earlier, Utoniums' Residence*
The city of Townsville! On a day like any other, villains are plotting against the world, monsters are getting ready to ravage this city, and the Powerpuff Girls are involved in certain activities. Currently... Bubbles was with her Xtreme friend, Blitz.
'Well? How do you like it?" Bubbles asked.
"Hm..." Blitz said as she looked in the mirror on their small dresser; Bubbles had made Blitz's hair into two small ponytails on the back of her head. "I don't know... they just don't seem like my style..."
"Well that's fine... you said you wanted to see which one you like right?"
"Yeah... but what if I don't find one?"
"Well you know what they say 'there's nothing wrong with the original'." Says who? "Oh! We can try this one!" The ponytails were undone and Blitz's lengthy hair flowed down. While she worked on braiding her friend's hair, she thought: "I wonder how those two are doing..."
*Meanwhile in the training room*
Buttercup and Blossom were trading blows, specifically with their fists, a specific impact made the two of them force themselves back. Buttercup started firing lasers and Blossom started running across the walls of the arena, hopping off once she reached Buttercup's backside and blew out her ice breath. Buttercup flew back and lit her entire right foot on fire; she dashed at Blossom and caught her to prevent her escape.
"I gotcha now!" Buttercup said triumphantly.
Blossom just smirks, seeing as how her arms are still free; she starts rub her 'hands' together and static electricity came up. A lightning bolt followed shortly after and fried her sister, allowing her to escape and the fire to dissipate. She ended the battle by freezing Buttercup solid, her frozen sister falling to the ground with a *THUD!*
"Looks like another win for me." Blossom said happily.
"Oh p-p-please... I was off my A-g-g-game..."
"Oh c'mon you're no fun. Hold on I'll get you out of there." She lasered the ice and thawed out Buttercup. "Next time I'll take it easy, stay frosty." She winks.
"G-g-gee... thanks Ms. Ch-ch-chivalrous..."
*Back upstairs*
"How about this one?"
"Hm... looks too similar to Blossom's..."
Bubbles realized it fast. "Oh... well... maybe she won't mind?"
"Even so... I like my own style better..." She undid the style herself and restored its original state instantly. "Sorry you couldn't help... it was nice to try so many styles though!"
"Hee-hee! I'm glad you feel that way."
"Hey you two, we're back." Blossom walked through the door, Buttercup's skin looked noticeably bluer.
"Woah... did Blossom freeze you?" I mean... wasn't it obvious, Blitz? "Hold on I'll warm ya." She approaches Buttercup and breathes out a light trail of flame; Buttercup started looking better after seven seconds.
"Woo! Er... Thanks."
*Hotline buzzes*
"Huh... and on such a trouble-free day too." Blitz beat Blossom to the phone, much to her dismay, seeing as how she's usually on top of that. "What's up Mayor?"
"Actually girls... it's me... Ms. Bellum. You need to get over here quickly." It ended there.
"Woah... if Ms. Bellum is the one answering in place of the Mayor, it's gotta be serious. C'mon everyone!"
"Uh, Blitz? No offense, I really appreciate your enthusiasm, but giving orders is more my thing." She let it slide this time however; and the heroes were already off.
*In Townsville*
The entire right side of Town Hall was blown off as if a missile had struck it.
"Woah... You think we would've heard this..." They increased their flight speed and landed in what used to be most of the Mayor's office. "What happened here?"
"I can tell you..." Ms. Bellum said, a chunk of wall was blasted on top of her.
"MS. BELLUM!" Bubbles and Buttercup lifted the debris off her.
"Who did this!?" Blitz asked.
"He really got us..."
"Got you?"
"I couldn't see who it was... their silhouette blocked most of their features... but they had a really long cape..."
The hint didn't really help, actually... maybe it did... there was only one villain the girls knew that wore a cape right..? Er... right..?
"They had a cape..?" Blossom asked. "What was the shape of their head?"
Ms. Bellum looked up to Blossom and seriously said: "Dome-shaped."
Blossom's eyes widened, then narrowed.
"Uh... Blossom?" Bubbles asked. "Are you okay?" She said nothing and flew off. "Blossom!?" The other's quickly took after her.
"Could it've been..? But hasn't he quit..?" She thought as the remaining heroes took flight.
Blossom angrily flew towards an all-too-familiar location; the lair of the one who defeated her and her sisters... She crashes through the ceiling and yells: "MOJO!"
Lights flash on from the ceiling, a large robotic monstrosity in the shape of a dragon was hanging from the ceiling, the Mayor himself was tied up by rope in a chair. Mojo Jojo's introduction followed soon after, coming down from a floating metallic platform, he stands there and smiles. "Blossom..."
"What do you think you're doing!?"
"Is it not obvious..? I'm returning to my roots! For I am a villain; hence what I mean by 'my roots'!"
"But I thought we could trust you! Whatever happened to all that help you lent us when the Elementalists invaded? We saved your butt from the Shadow Thieves... and this is how you repay us!?" She said angrily.
"BAH! You really thought I changed!? Blossom... let me fill you in on a little something... I never changed... I faked it all! That nice Mojo Jojo you know is not real! Back in Citiesville while I was trying to think over my decisions, I cursed myself out for doing such a stupid thing!" He walked over to a control panel. "When I saw Townsville in shambles, it reminded me that I had undone my finished work by reviving you three... returning it to its unfinished phase... when those Elementalists came to the city... I did help you yes... but it was so that I... Mojo JOJO, could finish you off once more! For it shall be I... Mojo JOJO, that will do the honors! I take no others... and don't even get me started on what your idiot creator did!"
"You leave him out of this! He was trying to save me!"
"He had no reason to! If I revived you no problem... who's to say that he couldn't!? He... a stupid person... made a stupid decision! If he had remembered he could've easily brought you back just as I did... he wouldn't be a ghost locked up in a locket! What an idiot he was!"
Blossom got really enraged, by this time, her allies stopped waiting outside and came in. "He... was not... an idiot..."
"Maybe to you he wasn't... but to me..! He's just that... Take your stupid Mayor back as well... and watch... as I reclaim what I gave up five years ago! TOTAL CONTROL OVER TOWNSVILLE!" The platform lifted Mojo back up to the cockpit of the dragon; the chains holding it up by its wings snapped and the girls (except Blitz) realized it was an improved version of the DoomsDragon. "And I shall do it with this! AGAIN!" The top part of the lair opened up and the DoomsDragon II came flying out over the city, spewing fire, ice, and electricity over Townsville...
"I should've known..." Buttercup said.
"That traitor!" Blitz agreed.
"But... why did he do all this..?" Bubbles asked herself...
"Girls... stay out..." She activates her X-Hancing Ring and flew off.
"She's seriously angry..." Buttercup said.
"Uh... girls? I know she said to stay back... but uh... can you get me back to City Hall?" Bubbles did just that. "Oh gee... thanks Bubbles!"
"So what now?" Blitz asked.
"I don't know... guess we better wait and see... her orders."
*Downtown Townsville*
The DoomsDragon II landed down, wrecking buildings in the process; the cannons in its mouth switched around and it fired off a large beam of electricity that struck everything in its path. A beam of light hit its armor head on, the head turned to Blossom and roared. "Give up Blossom! You can't hurt this thing!"
"Well it's a good thing I know someone who can..." Pink light gathered around Blossom and she transformed into the towering Light Blossom. "Hello again~."
"HAH! You really think that form is strong enough to beat me now!?" The cannons in the DoomsDragon II's mouth swapped again, this one unleashed a terrifying black and green beam of energy, it struck Light Blossom head on, causing her to diminish... which is something not many can do. "Witness the new addition to my mech! An Antidote X powered cannon!"
"Ugh... no!" She was in a rough position now... any hit from that thing and she's as good as dead... again.
She landed on the ground across from the airborne robot. "It really is quite a shame really... you've spent the remainder of your second lives living in ignorance... defending your city against any oncoming 'rain'... When in reality... you should've been preparing yourself for the 'STORM'!" The cannon was preparing to fire a full-force Antidote X powered ray, Blossom kneeled as her fate was close to being sealed; she couldn't possibly fly away from this one... "I'd say it was a pleasure... but it really wasn't... pretending to be nice makes me sick to my stomach... Anyways... GOODBYE BLOSSOM!" The black and green colored beam flew straight at her, and struck her dead on.
"Oh no..." Buttercup said from the sidelines.
All three of the other Powerpuffs jumped down to her fainted body. "Oh no... Blossom... Blossom, can you hear me!?" Blitz tried.
Blossom did manage did move slightly. "I... I'm sorry..."
"Hey... don't worry ok? We'll get you out of here." A line of fire blew up a building behind Buttercup. "Like right now!" All three Powerpuff Girls flew off back to their home (not Blitz's however) and set Blossom's unconscious body on the bed.
"That ray looked like it hurt..." Bubbles said.
"How can we beat that? It's too fast to fly away from, it's too big, and it's too strong!" Buttercup said.
"I don't think my energy shield can handle it either..."
"What do we do?"
"*cough* Get some... Chemical X... for me..."
"*mumbles* I don't know Bloss... we can't really risk losing you... we don't want to either."
"I'll be fine... we know how everything about its upgrades work now... and besides, remember Dynamo's new power we discovered?"
"Harmonic Shield? I think I see where you're going with this..."
"That move made us totally invincible to any attack... It might beat the Antidote X ray's power..."
"But what if it doesn't?" Bubbles asked.
"Do we really have time to experiment?" Blossom asked. Everyone shook their head 'no'. "I thought so, get some Chemical X... we're going back out there..."
