Chapter 2: Break Away

"Ok... got the X. Blossom, hold out your arm."

Blossom held her arm out for Bubbles, who was handling a needle filled with the black liquid. The needle was inserted and the powers came rushing back to her; she started to feel more energized. "*inhales and exhales* I feel... like a new girl."

Bubbles smiled happily, Blitz intended to give a thumbs up, and Buttercup nodded.

"Girls... let's fly." And they did... into the danger zone of course.

*Downtown Townsville*

The DoomsDragon II stayed where it was before, Mojo was still waiting for his enemies to return. He had already destroyed half the city, so what else was there for him to do? Then he heard familiar sounds, of them taking flight. "Ohohoho... they've returned!" The dragon squared up and faced them, readying its Antidote X powered beam.

Since the girls had already formed to make Dynamo, she did a circular motion with both arms and the 'harmonic shield' appeared and surrounded her. The cannon fired the beam and the shield was actually proving it was worth using.

Blossom: "I can't believe it... it actually does make Dynamo totally undefeatable!" Bubbles: "Awesome! Now we can beat that bad monkey!" Buttercup: "Bubbles, he's a chimp, we've been through this."

"WHAT!? A shield that gives their combined form total immunity!? I thought cheating was my thing!"

Blossom: "There's nothing wrong with fighting together! Now we're gonna show you our true strength!"

Mojo wasn't planning on giving up that easily, some new trick ain't gonna scare him. He switched the cannons around and changed it to an ice-launcher. He blew out a whole cloud of icy wind throughout multiple holes in the DoomsDragon II's body, keeping it obscured. Blitz came in and used her fire breath to clear it away; Mojo was hoping it was Dynamo and fired off the electricity beam, which Blitz shielded and absorbed. "CURSES!" He yelled. "I will put you in your place reject!" The tail lashed at Blitz, coiling around her and shocking her out cold.

"BLITZ!" Dynamo turned to the villain and fired about ten blasts of energy at the DoomsDragon II. It couldn't defend itself, hence its wings got totally damaged.

"Uh-oh... the wings are destroyed... this thing is as good as grounded!" But he wouldn't let something like that keep him down, so he transformed the mech into the DoomsTank II!

Bubbles: "Uh-oh..." Buttercup: "Uh-oh is right, that thing's packing a huge laser!" Which it decided to fire after ten seconds worth of charging, Dynamo activated the harmonic shield again and successfully avoided damage. Bubbles: "How can we get in close enough!?" Blossom: "It has a recharge... we'll have to use that to our advantage! Aim for the cannon!" She readied a set of bomb spikes and fired them; some missiles shot them clean out of existence, creating a cloud of deep grey smoke; four more came straight through it, going straight into the nozzle of the cannon, all four of them exploded from the inside. The DoomsTank II was taken down fast oddly enough.

Dynamo landed where Blitz was sitting against a building, breathing heavily. Bubbles: "Are you okay Blitz?"

"Yeah... I'm fine..." She gets up like nothing happened. "I didn't know I was a living insulator."

Buttercup: "So that stuff doesn't hurt you? Wow." Blossom: "Girls, let's unfuse, the tank is down." So Dynamo did just that, and separated back into Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup.

"Is he still in there?" The smoke cloud was large, large enough to hide that something was hiding behind it. Mojo came walking through, surrounded in an evil purple aura. "Woah... what's up with him?"

"Foolish Powerpuff Girls!" His voice suddenly sounded off. "You may have bested me in that worthless hunk of junk... but you won't beat me while I still have this power!" He started growing in size, bits of his clothing tearing off from the transformation; he became a giant again, just like when the girls first fought him back then.

"That's still in him!?" Buttercup said, sounding surprised.

"I guess the Antidote X didn't wipe out all his inherited Chemical X... it must've just been remaining dormant..." Blossom said.

"Now I once more have MO' MOJO THAN BEFO'!"

"Big deal! We took you down once we can take you down again!"

"Not while I have the enhancement of this dark magic you can't!" His size increases, and his hands become lit in purple fire. "Try this on for size!" He smacked the ground and purple cyclones rose up and went straight for the heroes.

"BAIL!" Blossom ordered; then all four Powerpuffs went in different directions, the cyclones did so as well.

*(We'll show their sequences one by one. Starting with Blossom)*

Blossom flew through tight spaces in an attempt to get the swirling purple vortex off her trail, but it just wouldn't leave her be. Until its target is stopped, it ain't leaving, so she turned back to face, took a deep breath, and froze the cyclone solid. She then flew off to deal with Mojo.

*With Bubbles*

Because she lacks any sort of extinguishing abilities, Bubbles continued on her path to hopefully out-speed the (no pun intended) blazing-fast cyclone. She seemed to end up crossing paths with Blitz, and the two cyclones merged, making it two Powerpuffs being chased by one cyclone.

"How can we get rid of this!?"

"I'll try my model manipulation!" Blitz braked and turned to face the cyclone, she held out her arms and once the cyclone got close to her, froze up completely. She then turned it into a bucket, and it clonked onto the ground. "Help your sister! I'll help Buttercup!" Bubbles nodded and they went their ways.

*With Buttercup*

Buttercup preferred not to flee and fought fire with fire instead. She stood her ground and whipped up a whirlwind; the cyclone was too weak to withstand Buttercup's wind strength so it was diminished fast.

"That was too easy... Oh! Mojo!"

*With Mojo*

As a giant, it's been said hitting your target isn't as easy as it may seem... Mojo's learning this the hard way. "Just sit still so I can KILL you!"

"Not a chance Hairy!" Blitz shouted.

"Hairy!? Well we'll see how you like how it feels then!" He held out his arms and massive spikes from his hair were fired at Blitz. She evaded them no problem. "Come on! Just one hit!?"

All the girls grouped, looked to each other and said: "No way!" They each then started swarming around Mojo like flies. He continued to struggle hitting them, until he launched a huge barrage of spikes from all over his body; the girls were struck, leaving nothing more but light scratches, but they were still in the battle. No matter what happens, they're gonna protect the city they call home...

Mojo roared angrily. "JUST YOU WAIT! I'LL GRIND YOU INTO DUST!" He breathed out atomic fire and stomped the ground in rage; lava shot up towards the girls from the cracks he made whilst doing so. The girls flew back to take note of his pointless raging.

"He still makes it look easy... he should've just stayed a good guy..." Buttercup said.

"True... Shall we remind him why?" Blossom asked.

"Yeah!"

"Then let's do it!" All four girls held out their arms and prepared to fire the Starburst Ray, it was a much more powerful version of the regular Starburst Ray thanks to Blitz's added power. The ray took a while to charge. "Ready..?" It was completed after ten seconds. "FIRE!"

"For the Professor!"

The rainbow-colored ray moved so fast it pierced through Mojo's chest; it didn't leave hole or kill him, but it did massive damage to him. He fell over and shrunk back down, odd purple energy then started to flow out of him; it disappeared into a white light.

"We did it..." Blitz said.

"He's okay though... right?"

As if to answer Bubbles' question... "Urgh... what is... going on? Why am I out here?"

"He doesn't remember?" Buttercup asked.

"Ah! Girls! Such a pleasure to see you!" He approached them, they squared up. "Why so hostile? I'm just trying to thank you."

"Thanks us? You tried to eradicate us!"

"Yes I know... but I was possessed by some evil... it must've came from HIM. I must thank you for getting it out of me... I'm eternally grateful to you four..." He even bowed! Can you not call that honest!? "And I'm... sorry for all the things I may have said... Maybe it's time I go back..."

"What? You're leaving!?" Blossom said, stopping him in his tracks.

"I believe Townsville will be better off without someone like me in its proximity... Or in it. Therefore... I must take my leave..."

Blossom felt upset, so she stopped him again and gave him an offer. "Wait! Maybe... you don't have to leave..." He raised a brow.

*Utoniums' Residence*

"You're actually allowing me to stay with you three?" Mojo asked.

"Of course... like I said: 'Everyone deserves a second chance'. Besides, you were possessed; those actions can be justified by that reasoning alone." (I can't wait to see if anyone disagrees with that notion).

"It'll be like old times! Y'know... when you were still the Professor's pet and all..." Bubbles said.

"*gasp!*" Mojo was having flashbacks to those times; times have changed now however, and the Professor might just forgive him after all these years.

"Here!" Bubbles handed him the locket. "It was... supposed to be Blossom's, but she's alright now. Put it on."

Mojo hesitated but did so. The Professor's ghost appeared and noticed Mojo. "Ah... finally came back to your home?"

"It... sure has been long... I look forward to parenting your little ones as you have left the mortal plane."

"You don't need to do it alone Mojo, he's still here... Kinda." Blossom told him.

"Still... I have to atone for my misdoings somehow... Therefore I shall continue your lab work as you are in no condition to do so. Which is why that will be the first thing to cross off my list."

"You're gonna-?"

"Unfortunately Blossom I wish not to somehow: 'revive the dead'. However I will find some way to at least make him feel 'alive'."

She hugs the chimp tight. "I'm proud to finally call you my second father again..."

"And I'm proud to call you my daughter... finally..."

"Aw..." Professor, Bubbles, and Blitz said in unison.

"Ugh..." Buttercup said as she pulled down the heart background that signified a story's ending.

Speaking of signifying a story's end... The day was saved once more thanks to... the Powerpuff Girls! Now let's leave them to their get together shall we?
