After returning a Pop Tiger magazine he borrowed James sees Katie's diary on her bed and discovers she has a secret crush that she never mentioned to anyone not even her mom. Horrified and curious he sees that it's a boy named Kyle that's in Katie's grade at the Palm Woods school. He's relieved that the kid is her age but upset it's a secret and runs out to show it to the others

3. Chapter 3

Kyle: What was that all about?

Katie: I don't know. He's weird *They go to the game room*

*Later that night she comes home excited*

Kendall: Did you have fun with Kyle today?

Katie: Yeah we've got our design figured out. I'm gonna go work on drawing the base of it. He's got the blueprints but we need a theme. I have to draw it out *Runs to her room*

Logan: Wow seems like her and Kyle are becoming fast friends

James: Too fast, way too fast!

Carlos: Chill dude. Kyle is cool

*An hour later after dinner Katie writes in her diary about her exciting day with Kyle of them working on their science project*

*The next day she gets up with a big smile*

What's got you so happy? "Kendall asks as he pours orange juice in her cup"

Katie: I'm just really excited to work on my science project with Kyle. He's really cool. He's a great kid

Kendall: I'm happy you two are becoming good friends. Has Tyler met him yet?

Katie: No I don't think so. I'll introduce them to each other today after school

Kendall: Great idea baby sister

What if they don't get a long? "James says as he munches on a piece of bacon"

*confused* Katie: Huh? Why wouldn't they get along? They're the same age and in my grade. They have no reason to like each other

James…"Kendall gives him a *don't push it look* I'm sure they'll become fast friends as soon as they meet

*They all finish eating and go downstairs to the classroom*

*During lunch the class eats outside in Palm Woods Park*

Wanna sit with me and Tyler? "Katie shyly asks Kyle*

Kyle: Yeah sure

Katie: Great cuz I remember want you to meet him *They go to the picnic table he's sitting at* Kyle this is Tyler my best friend in the whole wide world

Kyle: Hi Tyler. Katie has told me so much about you

Tyler: Cool

Kyle: How's your science project going?

Tyler: Really well. How's yours?

Kyle: Fantastic. Katie and I are gonna work on it more immediately after school. We want to have a lot of fun with it

*James watches from a distance feeling all kinds of emotions*

Logan: James! Earth to James! Hello?! *Snaps his fingers in his face* Dude!

James: What?

Logan: I've been trying to talk to you for the past 10 minutes. I need to know if you want any help on your math homework later

James: Sure sure *Still looking at Katie, Tyler and Kyle*

Logan: James you've got to relax. She is fine. Kyle is cool. We all know this. You're the only one thinking he has some ulterior motive to harm her. You haven't even given him a chance
