After returning a Pop Tiger magazine he borrowed James sees Katie's diary on her bed and discovers she has a secret crush that she never mentioned to anyone not even her mom. Horrified and curious he sees that it's a boy named Kyle that's in Katie's grade at the Palm Woods school. He's relieved that the kid is her age but upset it's a secret and runs out to show it to the others

4. Chapter 4

James: Why should I? He's a boy. What if we can't trust him?!

Logan: Keep your voice down! They'll hear you! Stop freaking out!

*They all finish lunch and go back to class*

*Later that night in Apartment 2J. Katie is happily packing her bag with her project stuff*

Carlos: What are you doing princessà?

Katie: I'm not gonna be doing my project here tonight

Carlos: Where you gonna do it?

Katie: At Kyle's apartment. His parents work late hours so he's often alone. He could use the company

NO! "James shouts startling everyone"

Kendall: James stop it!

James: No she's going to a boy's apartment alone!

Katie: He's not just some boy! He's Kyle! You've met him of course! And he's my friend! Quit being so paranoid please! It's starting to really freak me out! I'll be home before my curfew so CHILLAX! *Angrily leaves out*

Logan: Look what you did. Now she's upset! You really need to stop this

James: I'm protecting her!

Kendall: No you're not

Carlos: You really upset her

Mama Knight: James sweetheart please try to have some compassion and patience. She really likes Kyle. Don't ruin your friendship with her or her friendship with him

*sighs* James: I'll try not to

Mama Knight: Good

*A few hours later right on time Katie returns and goes to her room*

*The afternoon she works on her project alone in Palm Woods Park*

Hey baby sister "Kendall says as he walks towards her with lemonade and fruit smackers for her"

Katie: Hey

Logan: How come you're alone?

Katie: Kyle isn't available today

Carlos: Is he sick?

James: He might be at baseball practice *he says as he causally sips on his lemonade*

Katie: How did you know that? He never told you that he likes baseball cuz he knows you don't like him. So how do you know that? *Gives him a suspicious look*

Uh…lucky guess "The tall brunette shrugs" You told us he plays baseball

Katie: That's true but I never told you which days

James: Wednesdays and Friday right?

Katie: You know his schedule a little too well. Are you freakin STALKING him?!

James: No of course not!

Katie: You're up to something aren't you? You've been way too paranoid about him from the day you met him. No from the day I told you guys about him! You're hiding s secret aren't you?! I'm gonna find out what it is! *Angrily walks away*

*Carlos starts babbling angrily in Spanish at James*

Logan: Carlitos relax. Everything will be ok

Kendall: I hope you're right Loganator
