Who am I? The question I have been asking myself for years. My name is Harry James Potter but that is not who I am. Names are used to identify people but it is not necessarily who they are.

I know I am not making much sense but I have done some thinking over the summer here at Privet drive locked in my room for pretending to curse Dudley.

I have made the discovery that I have many personalities. People see me as they want to see me. Attention seeking, a liar, hero, orphan, spoiled, rich, arrogant, humble, lazy, determined and so much more.

The question I have been asking myself is: Who do I want to be? Do I want to be what people expect of me, what Sirius thinks of me, what my friends expect of me or the person that I want to be. If I survive this war I think I will follow my heart not the opinions of other people because the decisions you make early in your life are the most important.

Life is not easy and can be a disaster but it can be beautiful as well. I have discovered that life is a gift and special therefore I have to appreciate it and make the most out of every moment because if you do not savour every moment, what is the point of being here.
