Chapter One: Arrival Of Anastasia
A/N: I am gonna call the Prince by the name Henry in this book since he was never really said to have a name apart from other Cinderella adaptations.
"But Dad..." Henry says as he is fencing with the King.
"Those aren't reasons! Breeding, refinement! These are the reasons to marry someone. Not their choice in transparent footwear!" The King says as he tries to eat a pear only for Henry to grab it with the sword.
"Nicely done Henry." Alexis says.
"Thanks. It's not about the slipper. It's the girl in the slipper. She was... Well she was..." Henry says.
"She was what?" The King asks.
"What is it Henry?" Alexis asks.
"Well she was the one. I know it." Henry says.
"You think there's only one woman in the kingdom who wears a size four and a half? Your adopted sister wears that size too." The King says.
"It's all I have to go on here." Henry says.
"Oh poppycock!" The King says annoyedly.
"You remember when you met Mom? You said the first time you touched her hand... you just knew... instantly." Henry says.
"He's right. You just knew too that night." Alexis says as she smiles.
"Mmm. The stars were brighter that night." The King says as he smiles.
"Dad you found true love. That's all Alexis and I want." Henry says before the group hears a bugle.
"Sounds like they found someone." Alexis says before Henry runs off.
"Alexis promise me something my dear?" The King asks.
"Yes?" Alexis asks as she looks at the King.
"Try not to give me a heart attack like my son does and also remember to always follow your heart in your decisions... Even if I may not understand them." The King says as he smiles.
"I can do that father." Alexis says as she smiles.
*Timeskip*
"Hey Henry. How'd it go?" Alexis asks as she sees Henry come out of a room and goes over to him.
"Wonderful. It's really her. We're getting married tonight." Henry says happily.
"Tonight?" Alexis asks in surprise.
"Tonight!" Henry says excitedly before he runs off.
"Hello." Alexis says as three women walk over towards her.
"Who are you?" A dark haired girl asks.
"I am Princess Alexis. I am the Prince's sister. Our father sent me to show you to your rooms where you and your family will stay." Alexis says.
"Really? We get our own rooms here in the castle!?" Anastasia asks excitedly.
"Yes." Alexis says as she chuckles slightly.
"Oh... Forgive my excitement." Anastasia says as she looks down while receiving an annoyed look from the older woman beside her.
"It's alright. I like your enthusiasm... It's a refresher from the usual around here. So which of you will be marrying my brother?" Alexis asks curiously as Anastasia blushes slightly.
"My daughter Anastasia will be marrying him. I am Lady Tremaine. Her mother. This is my other daughter Drizella." A woman says.
"Anastasia? That's a very beautiful name." Alexis says kindly as she looks at Anastasia.
"Thank you. Yours is beautiful too." Anastatia says as she smiles shyly at Alexis causing her to smile.
"You were saying about bedrooms?" Lady Tremaine asks as she steps in front of Anastasia.
"Oh yes. Follow me." Alexis says as the others follow her.
