Izuku wiped the sweat off his forehead as he moved the last box into his new home in a relatively quiet suburb of Mustafu. He has just finished his final year of college and saved up enough money to buy himself a small house, though he had to bring his furniture in. He looked around the house to fully understand what he'll be dealing with for the foreseeable future. It was two bedrooms and a single bathroom with a simple kitchen with a couple of countertops, a decent fridge, stove, and a sink.
Of course, the color was a sickly-looking mix of yellowish green and white trim around the floor, the living room, and the bedrooms. The first bedroom, being his, was grey all around with a single window to look out of, where his bed was against the window. Combined with a white dresser, a couple of movie posters, and an alarm clock, Izuku smiled about his work in setting the bedroom up. Next to his bedroom was a more dark grey, so he could use it as an office if he needed to, or else he'll need a roommate.
Izuku moved over to look into the bathroom, which was relatively small compared to living with his mother in her apartment. It just had enough room for a bathtub, toilet, and a sink with a mirror hanging above it, all of it were a bright white. It nearly blended in with the bathroom's white walls, with a single light installed above him which lit up the white room. Izuku smiled before looking into the mirror to fix his hair, fluffing his hair up, seeing that his green hair was starting to have silver roots.
He was wearing a forest green muscle shirt with a pair of cargo pants, with four freckles in the form of a diamond on each cheek. His green eyes shined brightly in the mirror before he looked down, seeing a bit of silver forming on his chin, though looking partially patchy. Pulling away from the mirror, he looked down to see his iconic custom red running shoes,
"Looks like I'll need to dye my hair again," Izuku muttered before rubbing his chin. "And maybe shave off this peach fuzz, so I don't have to listen to Toga whining about it."
Izuku shook his head, remembering the first time he met Toga, thanks to his cousin Tomura Shigaraki on his mother's side. The girl was odd to be the apparent note of interest about her, especially with the vampire vibe she gave off. She also dresses up a lot like a high school girl, even though she graduated nearly five years ago, and occasionally grabs him.
Shaking his head, Izuku moved to the kitchen and started putting away the dishes he and his mother had purchased before the move. Of course, he did have to cry with his mother for a bit since he would be on his own, and thankfully there was no rent. Bills would be a pain, but he'll deal with it when the time comes; for now, he had to get his stuff sorted out. Sighing, Izuku put the last of the glasses away before moving on to decorating the living room, having to set up his, albeit small, stuff.
All he could have purchased and brought in was a small coffee table with a radio, which he turned on to listen to some electro music. It was one of the few types of music he was introduced to when he was younger, mostly thanks to his dad before his passing, as he set up the rest of the living room. After his daily workout, he got a whole couch to rest on; then, he laid a dark green carpet against the wooden oak floors. He sits on the sofa, sighing as he adjusts and takes a few deep breaths, enjoying the feeling of the soft couch.
That was when he heard a knock on the door, making him raise an eyebrow before returning to his feet.
'Who's visiting?' Izuku thought to himself, making his way to the door.
Opening the door revealed a boy with shaggy black hair, a black hoodie with a skull shirt underneath, skinny black jeans, and black shoes. In his hand was a full plate of what Izuku could tell was fruit cake, which was a weird thing to eat in the middle of spring. Izuku stepped to the side, allowing the boy into his house, who nodded and walked in, followed by a green-haired girl, looking similar to his hair, wearing a frog cap, white shirt, and a skirt with green stockings and white shoes.
"Is there anyone else I should be expecting?" Izuku asks the two that came into his house. "And who are you two?"
"I'm Tokoyami Fumekage," the black-haired boy says, still nibbling at the fruitcake.
"And I'm Tsuyu Asui," the girl says, with a bit of a hop in her step. "Though, I'm not sure if anyone else would be coming. Ochako-chan is busy at work, and Iida-chan is finishing his training, so it's just us."
Izuku nodded his head before extending his hand.
"Well, Izuku Midoriya," he says as Tsuyu shakes his hand. "Any noticeable places would be good for me to visit?"
"The park is a nice place," Tokayami answers, setting the fruit cake plate onto the coffee table. "Other than that, you can visit a few good cafés around town."
"I prefer the beach and some of the local fishing holes laying around," Tsuyu added her opinion before her phone went off.
Excusing herself, she moved to the side of the house for a bit of quiet while Tokoyami and Izuku started talking about their favorite bands. He learned that Tokoyami enjoys the more subversive forms of punk rock and goth rock while he doesn't enjoy most meat dishes. After a few minutes, Tsuyu returned, saying that she had to leave since her family was having a bit of an emergency, which Izuku and Tokoyami understood. Tokoyami said that he'd go as well for emotional support and left with Tsuyu, though Tokoyami left the plate of fruit cake on the table.
Before Izuku could tell him, they had already left the house and rushed off, leaving Izuku alone with the plate. He turned to look at it for a few minutes before moving over to the coffee table, taking a slice, and tasting it. It wasn't good, so Izuku tossed it away and went to the kitchen to make himself something; it might just be easy to eat some green salad. After paying for the needed groceries, he made a few servings of the salad, got himself a bowl, and put the rest in the fridge.
Sitting down in his chair, Izuku started to eat his salad while listening to the electro music on the radio. As he did this, Izuku pulled out his phone and looked into job listings and a few open positions with various professions. Three have grabbed his attention, the first being the Scientist Profession, which was a rather impressive profession to get, especially with the pay and the opportunities he'll have. From there, there was an option of being a Professional Athlete, tying between a Body Builder or a Star Sports Player, which felt off for him.
The final one was the Military Branch, something to follow his father in for the Lieutenant Colonel, though he's not sure if he wants to be a part of the entire Military. There was an option about going whole covert operation, which he felt a bit more comfortable in, which might be because he watched one too many spy movies. Snickering, Izuku applied for the Military Position, which was immediately accepted, surprising him, and he'll start tomorrow at six in the morning.
"Well, I should probably get ready to go to bed at eight tonight so I can have a couple of hours to get ready," Izuku commented before another knock happened.
Getting up from his seat again, Izuku went over to open the door to see who it was, only for a package remaining on the porch. Izuku squatted down to see what it was about, seeing that it was his uniform for the Military, brought it in and set it on the chair. He unboxed it and reviewed the uniform, seeing it was a beige shirt with premade dog tags with his name on it, dark green camo cargo pants, and a standard cap. All of it was just his size.
