A/N: Alright! First chapter! I hope you enjoy!
Five Years Later
Nearly every Jedi youngling belonged to a clan, there were five clans: bear, wolf, hawk, tiger, and whale. Each clan had ten to twenty younglings in each age group. Younglings were separated into clans when they were five. Once about thirty younglings turned five, there was a sorting ceremony. The clans had several age groups, from five all the way up to about thirteen. By the time a youngling is thirteen, they will either become a padawan—if they are chosen by a master—or they were sent to Agricorps to become a Jedi farmer—a very important job that fed trillions upon trillions of hungry beings.
Anakin and Padmé had spent every possible second together in the past five years. They were the best of friends from the moment they met when they were days old. They slept side by side—in each other's arms—played with the same toys, ate from the same plate, shared clothes—they were currently about the same size—and even took baths together. The two even had a secret language, not that they needed it because they could speak telepathically; but they made one anyway simply because they thought it would be "super cool to use it in front of people and them have no idea what we're talking about!"
When it came time for the sorting ceremony, Anakin and Padmé were nervous. They were scared that they would be separated. In truth, they had nothing to fear, for Yoda had declared five years earlier that the two should never be separated for long periods of time.
One Week Later
"Welcome, younglings!" Master Yoda began. This generated excited chatter in the children at being called "younglings" instead of "creshelings".
"For sorting, did you come here today for, young ones," Yoda continued.
"The sorting ceremony will begin now young ones, so hush," Jedi Master Mace Windu said with surprising gentleness.
An Hour Later
"This concludes the ceremony, younglings. Report now to your clan dorms." Master Canlin, Bear Clan leader, said.
Anakin and Padmé looked at each other. Anakin pulled Padmé into a tight hug as she burst into tears. They hadn't been assigned a clan.
"Please calm down, Angel." Anakin tried to get her to stop crying, to no avail.
"B-b-but Aaaniii, we d-d-didn't g-g-get asss-ss-ssigned to a cl-cl-claan!" Padmé sobbed into his shoulder.
"Young Padmé, whatever is the matter?" Jedi Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi asked gently, coming up to them.
"We weren't assigned a clan, Obi!" Anakin answered for her. Obi-Wan nodded gently.
"There is a reason for that. And it's not one to be upset about," Obi-Wan responded.
"Then what, master?" Anakin asked.
"Obi-Wan, knighted soon he will be. Become his padawans you will, yes," Yoda answered as he joined them.
"B-both o-of us?" Padmé hiccupped. Yoda nodded.
"At five?!" Anakin exclaimed. Again, Yoda nodded.
"Padawans you both are. My padawans, officially, until Young Kenobi is knighted. A placeholder am I."
"Yes, Master Yoda," Anakin and Padmé said together.
Six Months Later
"Dub thee, I do, Jedi," Yoda paused to sever the padawan braid, "Knight of the Republic!" Before Yoda could tell Obi-Wan to stand, the young man was tackled by two excited five-year-olds.
"Now you're 'fficially our master, Obi!" Anakin grinned.
Four Years Later
Naboo, Theed, Royal Palace
Queen Aridala was sitting on her throne, contemplating what she could do to stop the Trade Federation's blockade on her planet. Her chief handmaiden, Saba, came up to her, took her hand, and gently pulled the Queen out of the throne room and into the royal bedchambers.
"Milady, you cannot put yourself into the main danger. Please, let me take the mantle of queen for your protection," Saba asked.
"Very well, Saba, but only because we don't have the time to argue."
"Thank you, Sola," Saba smiled at her best friend.
"No, thank you, Saba. I pray this doesn't cause you harm, my friend," Sola murmured, as she changed into a handmaiden's gown.
"That is my hope as well, Sola," Saba replied in Aridala's voice.
Sola Aridala Naberrie, a fifteen-year-old girl, entered politics at eight to keep her promise she made to her newborn sister, nine years prior. She entered the legislative youth program. Then, at twelve, she was elected Princess of Theed. At fourteen, she was elected as Queen of Naboo. After her terms were up, she planned to become Senator of Naboo, where she hoped to build herself to be able to help her people—and her baby sister, should she ever need it. Right now, she was concerned over the blockade of her beautiful home world. She knew the Force would be with her, and somehow that made her feel better, if only a little bit.
Two Days Later
Jedi Temple, Coruscant
"Go, you will, to the Chommell Sector, to aid the planet Naboo in their time of crisis," Master Yoda told Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi and his two Padawans, Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Naberrie.
"Are you sure I should bring my padawans? They are only nine, Master." Obi-Wan asked.
"Sure, I am. The Force, deems them ready, it does." Anakin and Padmé smiled to each other, excited for their first real mission.
Two Hours Later
Royal Palace, Theed, Naboo
"The Chancellor informs me that he has dispatched a Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and two padawans, Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala, to conduct negotiations, Your Royal Highness," Senator Sheev Palpatine told Saba, the decoy Queen.
Sola sucked in a breath as she her that her sister was coming to help.
"This is good news, Senator. I thank you for informing me of these developments," Saba replied.
"The pleasure is m—chzzcks—ghness." Static interrupted anything Senator Palpatine was trying to say.
"Senator. Senator!" Saba called, receiving no answer.
"This can only mean one thing, Your Highness!" Sio Bibble, the governor of Theed, cried. "Invasion!"
Next Day
En Route to Naboo
Hyperspace
There was nothing but heavy fog that covered everything, blocking his view. It did not faze him; Jedi didn't need eyes to see. He heard a lightsaber ignite, somewhere behind him; he turned and saw a crimson blade in the hand of the masked Sith. He was mildly surprised to see himself standing taller than the Sith.
He looked down and realized he was a grown man. He noticed shaggy, golden curls that reached his shoulders; black and silver shoulder armor, black robes, a heavy black utility belt, two light sabers; tall, shiny black boots, and a long black cloak. All his clothes were either made of fine, expensive leather, armorweave, or durasteel. He also noticed armor covering his arms from his elbows to his wrists and then the back of his hands, this armor was shiny and black, like his boots. His gloves, also black, where of armorweave. His left hand, he noticed, had a wedding band on the ring finger, underneath the armorweave glove.
He looked back up at the Sith and saw that he was wearing shoulder armor, under his cloak, long dark robes, vambraces much like his own, a codpiece, and armored boots, also akin to his own. The Sith also had a mask and had his hood pulled over his head. His lightsaber was clutched in a gloved hand.
"It has begun. You are a threat to every Sith. You must die!" It said, before charging him.
"Nooo!" Anakin shot awake, in tears. Padmé was immediately at his side to offer comfort.
"Ani, what is it?" She asked, concerned. When he didn't answer, she suggested, "Show me?"
Anakin nodded. They pressed their foreheads together and closed their eyes; Anakin showed Padmé his vision.
"Oh, Ani!" She sat beside him and began rubbing up and down his back. "It'll be alright. We have plenty of time to train for that day. You were grown then, remember?"
"Yes, but he said it had begun already!"
"Maybe that's what he said in the future? Not now…" Padmé offered. They both knew that was false. The Sith had meant now, not the future. "Let's go back to sleep, Ani," Padmé whispered.
"Yeah, goodnight, Angel," Anakin murmured as he settled back down.
"Dream better, Ani," Padmé replied, softly.
Two Days Later
Exiting Hyperspace
"Are you excited?" Anakin asked Padmé as they came out of hyperspace. They both knew this was her homeworld.
"Yes, very. I would like to meet my family, but I don't think that will be allowed by Obi…" Padmé told Anakin.
"Nonsense! I don't see harm in it!" Obi-Wan declared, announcing his presence in the cockpit. "You can meet them after this crisis has been abated." Padmé smiled and Anakin grinned, which made Obi-Wan smile as well.
Thirty Minutes Later
Trade Federation Battleship
"Three! Three Jedi on my ship!" Nute Gunray was panicking.
"Yes, sir. Although it seems two of the Jedi are only younglings. They appear to have minimal training," the silver protocol droid reported.
Gunray's mind was whirring. He was running out of options. "Uh… take them some refreshments!"
"Of course, sir."
Meeting Room
"Does it normally take 'em this long to greet their guests, master?" Anakin asked, growing impatient.
"No, padawan. I haven't the slightest clue as to why we've waited this long. The least they can do is bring some refreshments." As if on cue, the droid that brought them to the room waddled in with refreshments. "Thank you. I do hope this is suitable for children?" Obi-Wan asked the droid.
"Yes, Master jedi, it is indeed safe for young children to consume," the droid answered.
Anakin snagged a cup, sniffed it, took a tentative sip, decided it was both tasty and not lethal, and downed the rest of the cup in one gulp. Padmé merely sipped at her cup politely, like Anakin should have done. Obi-Wan shook his head.
"Ani, that's not polite," Padmé scolded.
"I liked it!" Anakin protested. "Can I have another?"
"Only if you drink it correctly this time, padawan." Obi-Wan reasoned.
"Aw! But that's not fun!" Anakin whined, reaching for a refill. Obi-Wan shook his head, wondering if Anakin was really royal born.
As soon as he took the first sip of his refill, he sensed danger. His eyes widened and he dropped his cup, spilling the drink on the floor. "Master!"
"Anakin—" Padmé sighed.
"Padawan, why did you drop your—" Obi-Wan trailed off at the look of wild panic in Anakin's eyes. Then he sensed it too, shortly followed by Padmé. "Stay calm, nothing has happened yet."
Again, on cue, a white cloud started to fill the room.
"Dioxis!" Anakin shouted. "Hold your breath!" Obi-Wan allowed a brief flash of surprise and pride flash through him that Anakin had identified the gas before he had and knew what to do.
Outside the Meeting Room
"They must be dead now. Go make sure." Viceroy Gunray's holographic form told the battle droid commander.
"Roger roger!" It replied. Just then, two blue beams and one green beam appeared in the fog. Not five minutes later, all the droids where in pieces.
"I should've chugged that second cup," Anakin muttered, shaking his head.
Bridge
"Start the invasion!" Viceroy Gunray ordered.
Hanger
"That's a whole lot of droids!" Anakin whispered, excitedly.
"You can't play with them this time, Ani," Padmé giggled at her best friend's pout. "We have to focus on the mission first."
Anakin nodded. "Yeah, I know. But still…" he trailed off as he noticed the MTTs were being loaded.
"As much as I hate it," Obi-Wan started, turning the conversation back to the mission at hand, "we're going to have to separate. You two stay together. I'll find you on the planet. Alright?"
"We won't let you down, Master," the two padawans said together.
Obi-Wan smiled, "I know."
Royal Palace
Queen's Bedchambers
"Milady, what are we going to do?" Saba asked her beloved friend.
"I don't know, Saba. I haven't the faintest clue," Sola admitted.
"Milady!" Sacha ran in, "They've started landing troops!" At this, all three teenagers began to cry.
"Well, Saba, we n-need to g-get you r-ready as Queen," Sola hiccupped.
"Y-yes, I guess we do…" The three girls worked together to help Saba become the perfect image of Queen Aridala.
Thirty Minutes Later
Theed Plaza
"I will not sign your treaty, Viceroy," Saba, as Queen Aridala, told Gunray.
"My dear, I believe your people's suffering will change your mind soon." Gunray turned to his Droid commander, "Process them," he ordered.
"Roger roger." The droid commander then turned to another droid. "Take them to camp four."
"Roger roger." The droid turned and led the Queen and her entourage toward camp four.
Ten Minutes Later
Anakin and Padmé watched as the queen and her party were led through the plaza.
"We need to do something Padmé!" Anakin whispered.
Padmé nodded. "I know, but Obi's not here with us. Do you think we can take those droids?"
"Six against two? Hardly seems fair," Anakin scoffed, smirking. Padmé smiled.
"You're right. C'mon, let's catch them before they go under the bridge." Anakin grinned. They jumped off the bridge, taking everyone by surprise. Igniting their lightsabers, the two padawans made quick work of the six droids.
"Your Highness, I am Jedi Padawan Padmé Amidala, and this is my fellow padawan Anakin Skywalker. I'm afraid we were separated from our master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, but the Force told us we were needed here, with you.
"Master Obi-Wan should meet up with us shortly, though," Anakin finished for Padmé.
"Thank you for rescuing us, young masters Jedi," Queen Aridala said, making Padmé duck her head shyly and Anakin blush slightly at the title.
"It was our pleasure, Highness," Anakin managed to squeak.
It was then they spotted Obi-Wan, who was finally catching up. He introduced himself, "Your Majesty, I am Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi. I apologize for my tardiness. My padawans seem to have taken care of the situation, however," Obi-Wan finally stopped in front of the Queen and bowed. "Are you able to send transmissions?" he asked. It was then the party noticed Obi-Wan was being trailed by a Gungan, who introduced himself as Jar Jar Binks.
Captain Panaka answered Obi-Wan's inquiry. "No, they jammed our transmissions."
"Do you have transport?"
Panaka nodded. "In the main hanger. This way!"
They all swiftly made their way to the hanger. Sola couldn't help but study her little sister the entire way. She noticed how close Anakin and Padmé were. Briefly, she thought they would grow up to make an adorable couple. She smiled. Yes, she could see her sister with this boy.
Thirty Minutes Later
Theed Main Hanger
"Your Highness, I suggest you come to Coruscant," Obi-Wan told the Queen.
"My place is with my people," she stated in reply.
"Your Highness, they will kill you if you stay!" Anakin told her.
"They wouldn't dare!" Sio Bibble disproved. "They need her to sign a treaty making this invasion legal."
"Then it might be best if the Queen left with us so she could make a plea to the Senate," Padmé suggested.
Saba looked to Sola, needing guidance. "We are brave, Your Highness," Sola offered to her decoy. Saba nodded.
"I will go to Coruscant. Some of my staff must stay here, however." She was saddened by this, the staff she left behind could very possibly be killed. At that, they headed toward a ship. Anakin and Padmé separated from the group to free the Naboo pilots. Once the droids standing guard were disabled, Anakin and Padmé simultaneously shouted "Go!" to the pilots.
The pilots all obeyed, getting up and running to their ships. The Queen and her handmaidens boarded the Royal Cruiser.
"My name's Ric," the pilot of the Royal Cruiser offered as he sat down in the copilot's seat.
"Hello, Ric! My name's Anakin!" he greeted. "Hope you don't mind that I snagged the pilot's chair!"
"Well, kid, I hope you're a good pilot," Ric told him, insinuating he knew they didn't have time to argue about who's going to pilot them out of Naboo.
Anakin grinned. "I'm not a good pilot, Mr. Ric sir, I'm the best pilot there is."
Padmé piped up from the navigation chair, "He really is."
"Okay…" Ric mumbled, and the strange thing was he believed them.
"We're coming up on the blockade, Royal Leader!" A pilot in one of the starfighters announced through the commlink.
"Copy that, Royal two. Going in, keep us covered!" Ric responded.
"Yes, sir!" Royal two confirmed. "Hear that, squad? Protect the Queen!"
A series of "copy that!" s echoed through the commlink. The Trade Federation spotted them and began to fire. Interestingly enough, they did not send out any vulture droids.
"We're clear to make the jump to hyperspace, Royal Leader," Royal four's voice crackled through the comm. Anakin looked to Padmé who nodded back signaling she had the coordinates set.
"Copy that, Royal four. Jumping now," Anakin stated, pulling the lever to initiate the jump.
One Day Later
Royal Cruiser, Hyperspace
Anakin shot awake. Something was wrong. He climbed out of bed, trying, to no avail, to not wake Padmé. He was almost to the door when he heard, "Ani? what's wrong?" He sighed. He should have known she would wake up. She always did.
"Something's wrong with the ship," Anakin informed her.
"Hyperdrive" something—The Force? —whispered to him.
"Something with the hyperdrive," Anakin specified.
"I'm coming with you."
"I know." They walked down the hallway to the maintenance room. "Hey droid, R2-D2? I could use your help on the hyperdrive." Anakin tapped the droid lightly on his blue and silver dome.
"What's wrong with the hyperdrive?" Artoo asked.
"I don't know yet. I just know it's broken," Anakin responded.
"We could use your help to, R3-D3." Padmé tapped its red and gold dome as Anakin had Artoo's.
"Okay." Deethree said. Together the four of them solved the problem, while also becoming fast friends. Unbeknownst to them, Sola had awakened as the droids' beeps, and had come to watch the entire thing fold out.
Two Days Later
Royal Cruiser, Exiting Hyperspace, Coruscant
"Unidentified ship, this is Coruscant Air Control. Please state who you are and business in this system." A man's voice commanded through the commlink.
"Coruscant Air Control, this is Jedi Padawan Anakin Skywalker on the Royal One. I'm carrying the Queen of Naboo and she's here to make a plea to the Senate," Anakin answered.
"Copy that, Royal One. Proceed to these coordinates."
"Coordinates received. Proceeding to landing platform," Anakin confirmed.
Thirty Minutes Later
Landing Platform
The Queen was greeted by the Chancellor and her senator along with a few Jedi. There was a short conversation between the Queen, senator, and Chancellor before everyone went to their transports and went to the Senate; apart from the Jedi masters, who went back to the Jedi Temple.
One Hour Later
Senate Main Hall, Naboo Pod
Sola did not wish to call for a vote of no confidence. She was going to make a plea. If that did not work, then she would simply return home and fight her own battle. As she began to make her plea, she became severely annoyed at the Trade Federation's senator, who insisted on interrupting her. Once she said everything she thought necessary, she sat down. Palpatine told her that this would be the best time to call for a vote of no confidence. Sola remained sitting and said nothing. It was clear to her now that she would receive no help from the Senate. She was going home.
Nightfall
Jedi Temple, Council Chambers
"Masters, you called for us?" Obi-Wan asked as he walked into the room, followed by his two apprentices.
"Yes, young Obi-Wan," Yoda confirmed.
"The Queen of Naboo is returning home." Mace Windu jumped straight to the point.
"Accompany her, you will," Yoda finished.
Obi-Wan thought this endeavor was about to become incredibly dangerous but he trusted the Force and the two masters sitting before him. "Yes, masters."
The trio bowed and left the room.
Five Minutes Later
Landing Platform
'Why, why did I let a nine-year-old boy fly?' Obi-Wan asked himself. 'Because you know he's very capable and how can you deny such a cute boy? He loves to fly.' As if reading his mind, which was very possible, Anakin ran up to his master and gave him a hug, burying his face into Obi-Wan's robes.
"Tank oo, aster," Obi-Wan heard. The boy pulled back, a giant smile on his face, "for letting me fly!" He ran off to join Padmé, who had walked ahead toward the Queen and her handmaidens.
'See? Such an adorable face.' Obi-Wan thought. 'Oh yes, quite right. That is why I put up with insane, death-defying stunts.' "I still hate flying, though," Obi-Wan muttered aloud.
Two Days Later
Naboo Royal Cruiser, Hyperspace
Anakin and Padmé were chatting with their new best friends, R2-D2 and R3-D3 when Sola walked into the room and noticed it was empty, save the two very young future lovers and the droids. She smiled.
"Hello, young Jedi," Sola started, receiving polite "hi" s back from the two. "I was hoping we could talk. There is something I need to tell you, Padmé, and your boyfriend—" Padmé and Anakin both blushed, "—can hear it, too."
"Alright," Padmé agreed.
"This is probably going to be very strange, but—erm—actually, let me introduce myself. My name is Sola Naberrie."
Padmé gasped and a smile grew on her face. Anakin's shocked gaze fell as he grinned and hugged Padmé. He knew what this meant for her.
"You're my sister!" Padmé exclaimed. Sola nodded.
"You probably don't remember, but when I was saying goodbye to you, before mom took you to the Jedi Temple, I promised you that I would go into politics so I—"
"Could be there for me if I needed you," Padmé finished. "I remember!"
Sola was shocked. How could she remember? She had been mere days old. Well, her sister was special, so maybe that's why. The two girls, and Anakin, traded stories for several hours before Obi-Wan came in to tell his padawans that it was time for bed.
One Day Later
Queen's Chambers, Exiting Hyperspace
"Milady, what is your plan of action?" Saba asked, while they were preparing for landing.
"Well, Jar Jar said something on Coruscant about the Gungan army and that they wouldn't go down without a fight.
"You were hoping to recruit them?" Sola nodded and continued to explain her plan to Saba and Sacha.
Five Minutes Later
Realspace, Just Beyond Trade Federation Sensors
"Your Highness, you must have a plan." Captain Panaka stated. Before he could continue, Saba, the decoy queen, cut him off.
"I do indeed have a plan, Captain." She focused on Jar Jar. "Jar Jar Binks," she began.
"Meesa?" Jar Jar asked, pointing to himself.
"Yes, I need your help." Saba continued to share Sola's plan to all who needed to know. A short time later, they landed in the Gungan swamps.
Forty-Five Minutes Later
The Naboo party was anxiously awaiting the return of Jar Jar Binks. He entered the water a while ago and hadn't yet resurfaced. This caused the Naboo to fear the worst.
Eventually, bubbles began to appear on the water and the Gungan's head appeared, followed by the rest of him.
"Dersa nobody der!" Jar Jar cried.
"They must have been wiped out or taken to camps," Panaka concluded.
Jar Jar shook his head, long ears flapping. "Meesa no tinken so. Meesa tink deysa went to deesa Gungan Sacred Place."
"Will you take us there, Jar Jar?" Anakin asked.
Jar Jar blanched. "Uh… suresa, Ani. Meesa will taken yousa to deesa der."
"Thanks, Jar Jar, I know you don't want to," Padmé spoke Anakin's thoughts aloud.
"Itsa no problem, me lady, Ani! Itsa meesa pleasure to be serven deesa Jeedi," Jar Jar assured the two padawans. The two soulmates grinned at Jar Jar, who smiled back.
One Hour Later
Gungan Sacred Place
"Jar Jar Binks!" Boss Nass exclaimed. "Whosa have yousa brought to deesa Gungan Sacred Place?"
"Uh, meesa brought my pallos, Boss Nass," Jar Jar explained nervously. "Deesa meesa two closest pallos Anikan and Padmee, deesa Jeedi padiwens!" Jar Jar pushed Anakin and Padmé forward.
"Anikan and Padmee, yousa comin here. Meesa will speak to yousa," Boss Nass requested, without really requesting. They moved to him.
"Hello, Boss Nass. I'm Anakin Skywalker," Anakin began, putting emphasis on the correct pronunciation of his name. "And this is…" he trailed off to allow Padmé to introduce herself.
"Padmé Amidala, Your Honor," Padmé similarly emphasized her name as well.
"Ah, so Jar Jar isa mispronouncing yoursa names," Boss Nass laughed. "Hesa does that…"
"Well, we thought it best to properly introduce ourselves regardless of if he was or not," Padmé responded.
"Yeah, we didn't know if it was just his accent or something, but its polite, ya know?" Anakin added, unnecessarily. Padmé elbowed him to try and get him to shut up.
Luckily, the Gungan leader took no offense and laughed. "Meesa liken yousa!" he declared.
"Sir," Anakin started, ignoring Padmé's glare, "the people of Naboo need your help."
"To get rid of deesa mickenickes?" Boss Nass asked.
"Erm—yes! To get rid of the Trade Federation droids," Anakin answered.
"Whatsa is dersa plan?"
Padmé, with occasional input from Anakin, began outlining the Queen's plan, hoping the Gungan leader would agree to help save their world.
"Hm. Disa berry bombad plan," Boss Nass commented. He noticed the confused look on the padawans' faces and explained, "The Queenie's plan isa berry well thought outsa. Berry good plan."
"Oh! Bombad means good!" Padmé heard Anakin exclaim, thankfully over their bond and not out loud. He was learning. Slowly. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes.
"Meesa army will help da Naboo. Maybe weesa bein friends."
"Yes, I think the Naboo would like that, Boss Nass," Padmé stated.
"Yousa did a bombad ting, Padmeeay, Anakeen. Yousa brought da Naboo and da Gungan togeter." Anakin and Padmé smiled—ignoring the different mispronunciations of their names—and Boss Nass smiled back.
Three Hours Later
"Captain, take a few of your men and try to find some who aren't in camps," Aridala ordered.
"Yes, Milady," Panaka answered. "I'm assuming you want me to bring them back?"
"No," she clarified. "Only bring back the people who can be of immediate assistance. I do not wish to have any unnecessary casualties."
"Understood."
"Simply bring hope to those who have none," Anakin murmured, having tuned into the entire conversation.
"Make sure to spread the word that their Queen is going to win back the planet," Padmé said, after hearing Anakin.
"Of course," Panaka said, and then he was off.
A/N: I wrote this story a while ago… and I think I got to the end of TPM before stopping; but the idea is super cool, and so I might continue this into the next movie. I think the events of TPM and AOTC remain roughly the same and then everything derails in TCW. Basically. I don't know if I want to keep it that way, though.
Anyway, please ignore any cheesy writing, I was a lot younger when I wrote this. I've edited it a little but if I do too much, I might take away from what I'm trying to do.
Also, Padmé uses Amidala as her surname for missions and such and Naberrie for more personal things. I think I did it this way to match Padmé in canon, and I'm not hating it, so I'll keep it.
The Handmaidens: So, all the handmaidens took an 'é' ending name to better conceal when they switched between decoys and actual Queen in canon, and I tried to do the same thing with Sola. So, Saba is this AU's version of Sabé. In fact, that is an edit I added in: when I originally wrote this, before I knew the meaning of every name ending in 'é' I had her written as "Sabé". I'm not loving the name "Saba", but I wanted it to fit with the canon story of handmaiden names.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter!
