Chapter 1: Minions: The Rise of Gru

The next day, I met up with Sarah, James, and Henri, as well as some of my other best friends Alex Russo, Justin Evans, and Max Greenwald at the Loew's Waterfront Theater in Homestead to see the new Minions movie. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. Since we had some time before the movie started, we chatted with Sarah Ching about eating waffles for breakfast in 1st grade in downtown Pittsburgh, Grace Luster about eating chocolate from Valentine's Day at 3 years old in East Liberty, Jennifer Preager about using her new wheelie bag in 4th grade in the North Side, Jessica Linden about singing karaoke in 7th grade in Oakland, Sophia Cleng about doing makeovers in 4th grade in Shadyside, and Julia Robison about receiving a new stuffed animal at the end of 8th grade in the South Side, all while jamming out to 98 Degrees, of course. We also chatted with Elizabeth Mosh about having a Netflix binge session in 5th grade in Westmoreland County, Kaitlyn and Colleen Marioni about sleeping on their fuzzy pillow in 1st grade in Ross Township, Natalie Bay doing a secret handshake in 9th grade in Hampton Township, Rachel Luster eating pancakes for breakfast in preschool in the western suburbs, Abigail Luster eating chocolate in s'mores in 9th grade in the northern suburbs, Emily Grey baking cookies in 2nd grade in McCandless, and Brianna Shokoko doing makeovers her junior year at Chatham University in the southern suburbs, this time while jamming out to Santana. Then, it was time for the movie to start and we all enjoyed it. It was such a cute movie, even though my friends had to prompt me about being disruptive in the theater a few times. Afterwards, we ate dinner at Red Robin and chatted about what we learned about. "What do you think about trying whole wheat waffles sometime, Henri?" Max asked. "I used whole wheat macaroni in the macaroni salad for the picnic." "We could consider that, Max," Henri agreed. "As a matter of fact, Red Robin needs to think about serving their burgers on whole wheat buns." "Chocolate, along with cheese, is very addictive, James," Justin pointed out. "I love provolone cheese on my hamburgers because it is a lot like another Italian cheese that I like, mozzarella." "I like mozzarella and provolone cheese on hamburgers, too, Justin," James agreed. "What did you think about the girls doing makeovers, Sarah?" Alex asked. "It was very cute, just like that Minions movie was, Alex," Sarah happily replied. "It reminds me of the magical time that I went with Justin to senior prom and I got made up and dressed up," Alex pointed out. "I got made up and dressed up too whenever I got back together with Benedict temporarily," Sarah added. "Us women really know how to impress the men, huh?" I asked. "It is almost exactly like having Latin sex." "Stop saying inappropriate things in public, Angel," Sarah reminded me. "How many times do I have to tell you to watch your language in public, Angel?" Alex asked me. "Sorry, but I think that male singers like Nick Lachey and Carlos Santana look good naked," I told my friends. "We don't want to hear about that stuff, Angel, especially as we enjoy our dinners together," Alex told me. I also pigged out on bottomless steak fries. "Angel, that is not really healthy of you," Alex pointed out to me. "So?" I asked. "So you need to share the fries with us," Sarah agreed. "And order more fruits and vegetables like you girls eat?" I asked. "Although, the strawberries in the lemonade taste really yummy," Alex happily pointed out. "I love to eat red fruits especially in a great big salad," Sarah told me. "Like apples, bananas, grapes, strawberries, cherries, and watermelon." "Now, I want a fruit salad when we get home," I told my female best friends. Once dinner was over, it was time for all of us to go back home. "Thanks for a great evening, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
