Issue #2: Collision

After the outcomes of the ooze within the monsters coming out of it, the Team realized they have to act quickly. Zatanna then told the team that her friend, June, might be in danger during the strange Blood Moon event that came out earlier than expected. They arrived at the port of Genoa, Italy.

Once a beautiful paradise city turned nightmare. The sky turning red while the stars still shined. They all thought the event of the blood moon would be a sight of amazement, but instead it was turned into a sight for shuddering just by looking at it.

"Are you sure this is where she might be at?" Donna asked. They were all in civilian clothing to not give themselves away. Understanding that the situation is dire of need. Though Zatanna did not give the full detail, it was clear to them that the blood moon might have something to do with June.

"Yes. There was an art school she attended around this town. We might run into her there." Said Zatanna.

"Would be nice to see another sunrise. Those two moons are now giving me the creeps. I don't like where this was going." Said Artemis, disturbed by the way the moon looks now that there won't be another sunrise.

"Uh, Z. When you mentioned about June, it sounded as if she had something to do with this? Not that we thought she did something but..." Robin was about to ask her, wanting to find out more about the events, only to be cut off by Zatanna.

"Remember when I said she is a Homo Magi, just like I am?"

"True, but what does she have to do with this when we came all this way?" Asked Superboy.

"Well, I can't explain the full details. But let's just say that her power is unlike any other Homo Magi. There was all the more reason why Dad tutored her in the first place, it was then when June and I became friends." Zatanna then looks at the two moons. On the one hand, her mother would've love to see it, but on the other hand, she was already gone. She would confide in June about it whenever it was hard for her and her father to talk about her.

"Mom would've like to see the blood moon, but not like this." Zatanna sighs thinking about her mother. Robin, noticing this, places a hand on her shoulder to get her attention, "Hey, don't worry. We'll check on your friend and see if she's okay."

Zatanna smiled at the presence of the Boy Wonder. By the time they arrived at Genoa, the team noticed that the town is unusually empty. "That's rather out of the ordinary. First monsters are attacking the lands emerging from the ooze. Then the world is becoming empty. What happened to the people around here?"

"This can't be right. Or maybe everyone else evacuated before things got worse." Superboy replied. It was eerie and quiet. To make things worse, monsters are also appearing from the sea. "And monsters, now of all times. Arty was right, bet some dude must be really mad." Then a speaker had activate on its own.

"Hello, and if you're hearing this. Then congratulations, you have become the first to become my test subjects for a failed experiment that will soon succeed. I don't care how many of you are, but here I welcome you to the contribution of Merlot Industries. Oh, my apologies. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Dr. Merlot, a researcher dedicated in the survival for the Creatures of Grimm. Thank you for your participation, and it was nice meeting you while it lasted."

"Merlot? Never heard of him." Kid Flash Shrugged and everyone else looked at each other, baffled. "Yep, really mad." Artemis sighs, hated that she was right.

"All we have to look around and see if any of us can find anything. Be on your guard for now." Said Aqualad. The others nodded in agreement.

After reaching outside cathedral where it was one of the attractions for sightseeing, the two boys noticed the girl. "KF, look. I think she was left behind in town."

"A girl, and hot too. But what was she doing all alone in the middle of Genoa?" Kid Flash asked.

"Wait a minute. Maybe it's June." To their shock, she passed out. Then the Grimm surrounded her, ready to attack their prey. The two boys ran towards her to see if she is okay. "Those things kept coming in quick!" Kid Flash grunted. Robin throws a birdarang at the monstrous creatures, but it only hit them by the jaw, gaining their attention.

"Hey, over here!" Kid Flash then swoops in and rushes June put of harm's way from where the Grimm is glaring at. The monster they were facing is a wolf-like creature, scarier enough to resemble more like a werewolf. Kid Flash then rushed back to aid his friend. And punched one of the Grimm.

"Back off, big fangs!" Kid Flash taunted. Robin dodged the blades of the claws the Grimm had swiped at him. Robin the uses his staff to block off the fangs. To his surprise, the same substance came from the drool of the Grimm. Landing a kick at the Beuwulf. Then one of the Beuwulf notices the amulet June was wearing, and they stopped as if something had called them.

Robin and Kid Flash are confused for why they stopped attacking. For what they appeared to be mindless creatures, they just turned away and ran. "Okay, did those monsters just stopped and ran away?" Robin asked, before Kid Flash boasted into laughter. "Yeah! That's right! You better run!"

Then they just remembered the girl they thought was June. Robin and Kid Flash heard a groan from behind, the girl was waking up. "W-what just happened?" Asked the girl before facing Robin and Kid Flash. They looked at each other before helping her up.

"That depends. You alright, gorgeous?" Kid Flash smiled mischievously, "Kid Flash, fastest boy in Central City." Robin pinched him to not make this awkward for a friend of their friend.

"Ow!"

"Sorry about my friend. He's like that sometimes. Anyway, are you June Moone?" Asked Robin.

"Um, that's me. But who are you guys?" But before the two boys can answer. June immediately recognized them through the news she used to watch with her parents. "No, wait. I saw you guys on the news. You're Robin and Kid Flash!"

"One and only, beautiful." Kid Flash replied.

"Wait, how did you know who I am?" Asked June.

"Let's just say your friend, Zatanna told us about you and we thought we need to help find you." Robin replied. June was astonished that her friend had met a few heroes she never met before, and now they are standing before her. "Wait a minute, Zatanna? I know her! We used to practice magic together in middle school. Is she with you right now? I need to talk to her cause the situation is urgent."

"Hold on, do you know what was going on? For all we know, the monsters kept coming out of this goop and there were two moons. Can you at least tell us what was the last thing you remembered, June?" Asked Robin.

June is at a loss for words, for some reason after passing out, her memories became short and already they were erased. "Hold on, I'm trying to remember something." Her hand grasped onto her head as she felt a headache.

Meanwhile at Libera Arts Academy

Superboy, Miss Martian and Zatanna were at the art school June attended in Genoa. Strolling around the dorms to see if they find anything. "Hello?! June?! It's Zatanna! We're here to help!" Zatanna called. Then she remembered something.

"I don't think she's here, maybe she escaped with the other students before things got worse. This is weird. I can't feel her mind around here." Miss Martian adds. She then saw Zatanna taking out a key she and June secretly made a copy of for her dorm. "A key?"

"Sometimes June and I would sneak out of the school, so we made a copy of it the next time I came to visit. We should check out her dorm first." Zatanna said.

"Great. But let me ask you this. It sounded like June had something to do with everything that has been happening. Did you know something that we don't?" Asked Superboy, suspicion arose as he felt that something isn't right around the area. Zatanna fell silent, not wanting to reveal the horrible truth of her friend. The group continued to walk through the stairway.

"Can't say for sure. But I have to make sure she's okay."

"You sure you don't wanna talk about it, Zatanna? I mean, it's nothing to be ashamed of." Miss Martian said, in hopes she will open up about her friend's secret. But to no avail. Then they made it to the dorm room June lives in. Zatanna inserted the key and turned it.

But to their shock, it disintegrated. Superboy then crushed his knuckles. "Let me try." He said. Zatanna took a step back as she knew what he was going to do. Superboy then kicked the door. "Hah!" The door broke in half. June isn't there either.

"Whoa, it looks like there was an attack in the midst of all of this. What happened here?" Superboy said. The room was in ruins, there was a broken bunk bed. A nightstand being burnt. Miss Martian came across a closet, curious, she floated inside to see if there are any leads. To her shock, she called her teammates over. "Um, guys, you need to see this." Miss Martian said.

The other two members went along with it and noticed that inside the closet, there were at least five paintings, ones that Zatanna recognized. "I recognized those the way those were painted. It's... It's June's." Zatanna said in shock. Her heart races to see those paintings.

"Those paintings, they could mean something, as if something is predicted." Superboy adds.

But beneath the textures of oil and acrylic products was a woman with yellow eyes and black hair. Zatanna's worst fears have come true. "It's Enchantress. The sorceress of vengeance and wrath." Then Zatanna realized that Enchantress is coming back and June left those paintings as a sign for help.

"Oh, no."

Meanwhile at the Old Port of Genoa. Robin, Kid Flash and June are on their way to regroup with the others. Robin tried to communicate with some of the teammates, mainly with mind link.

"It was all too astonishing and exciting. I mean, meeting sidekicks of Batman and the Flash." June stated while following Robin and Kid Flash. The term, "sidekick," made them shuddered.

"We prefer, "proteges." Kid Flash stated. "No offense. But "sidekick" is just getting old already."

"Stop right there!" Then a voice is heard behind them. One is a Blue-haired young man in a red jacket holding a futuristic spear. The other is a blonde teen with a monkey tail. June, Robin and Kid Flash looks at them in confusion. "What the...Who are you guys?" Asked Robin.

"That's funny, we are gonna ask you cosplayers the same thing!" Said the monkey-tailed boy. Then he takes out his staff. Ready to fight the two boys.

"Alright you, dudes. If you know what's good for ya, hand over the girl behind you." Said the blue-haired boy. Robin and Kid Flash are baffled for why they were referring to June. "I'm sorry, am I missing something here? Whatever I did to you, I'm sorry." June apologized.

"Yeah, right. Next thing we know, you'll stab us in the back!" Said the blonde faunus.

"Hey, she's not going anywhere with you, so we'll take it from here if you don't mind. You guys don't seem whelmed." Robin said.

"Whelmed? Sun, please tell me this kid is making up phrases?" Said the blue-haired boy.

"Don't know, don't care! Either way, the girl is coming with us and needs to be stopped, Neptune!"

"Come on, Rob! I'm sure we can beat those fashion weirdos! And Miss Moone, you're gonna need to step back." Kid Flash stated. But June steps forward and decides not to take the sidelines too often. "Wait, I'll fight too." June said.

This version of June Moone is a friend of Zatanna Zatara in Earth-16 version. As well as the vessel of the Enchantress. Robin and Kid Flash meets Sun and Neptune, cause let's face it, both are like chaotic duos you would like to see on screen looking back on watching both shows.

Like Sun and Neptune, Robin and Kid Flash are also the kind of duo that have each other's backs and would get into mischief.
