I reached the academy before Sara by a large margin. It's either I am faster than I think, or Sara stopped running half the way. Shaking my head, I stepped inside the classroom. There was no one there so I sat on the desk, took out supplies for calligraphy, and started working.

It was my second Chakra Storage Fuin when I saw something great.

Seeing the fuin's potential, I whistled then started a new one.

I wrote and wrote until I heard someone say, "Hey, uh, Arata."

I turned to the voice. It was Shikamaru. I nodded at him. "Something wrong?"

Shikamaru shook his head while looking at the papers strewn around. He then looked at the latest fuin and said, "Is this fuinjutsu?" I nodded. "I heard it's dangerous to study by yourself."

"It's only dangerous if you work on explosives or something. Even if it's not the case, I am pretty sure it's safe to only write them." I said while shaking my head.

Shikamaru sighed. "Troublesome. I heard you are working on taijutsu after class with Sara and Naruto. I need help with my taijutsu or my mother…" He sighed again and continued, "Is that okay with you if I and Choji join your training?"

I shook my head and smiling said, "Not at all." Shikamaru nodded and returned to his desk. Since I was already lost focus on my work, I took a look at my gains.

Fuinjutsu: Chakra Storage Fuinis Leveled by 2.

Calligraphyis Leveled by 4.

'Now this is what I am talking about. Only an hour in and Calligraphy is already Level 5. I can't imagine how many levels I will gain in the class if things go on like this.' I shook my head and continued my training.

After another history lesson that I didn't listen to, we assembled in the backyard. There was Sara, Naruto, Shikamaru, Choji, and surprisingly, Ino. They filed in front of me, waiting. Some looked excited while others looked bored already.

I took a deep breath, "Now here we are, assembled in here, in the backyard of the academy. This is the moment we make history, we… Just kidding. Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, show me your katas okay?"

They put their disbelieving faces aside and started doing katas. Their katas weren't bad but certainly weren't perfect either. I motioned for them to stop and when they did, I turned to Naruto and Sara. "I will be working on this trio's kata. I won't be able to oversee your training today." They nodded and walked towards the taijutsu ring, to spar without a doubt.

I turned back to the trio. "Try to copy what I do." They nodded and I started showing them katas. They weren't able to get it on the first try but they eventually managed to do first kata so I told them what the point of it was. After making sure they memorized it, I continued to the next kata. While doing that, a screen popped up.

While reading the Skill description, I couldn't help but get excited. 'Free stats, here I come.' I turned to Shikamaru who was looking at me oddly and used Mentoring information gathering effect.

'Good.' With that, I continued training the trio. It took about half an hour to reach Ino's limit. Forty-five minutes for Shikamaru, an hour and a half for Choji. The lesson must have been tiring since both Ino and Shikamaru stayed on the ground after I told them to stop until the end of Choji's lesson.

When I was done with Choji, Shikamaru stood up and came towards me, "Thanks for the training."

"You're welcome." I said while smiling, then continued, "What do you think about the effectiveness of my training method?"

"It's rather unorthodox but good." I gestured him to elaborate and with a nod, he continued, "It's unorthodox because trainers generally don't tell their students to point of katas, maybe because they don't know or because they think it's wrong." I nodded to express my understanding. He sighed and started stretching.

Then came Ino. She looked at me a bit angrily and said, "You are a slave driver you know that right?" I frowned feeling wronged. She snorted and folded her arms, "You pushed us to our limit, don't try to deny it."

"You are right," I said while sighing then continued, "But you should be aware how effective it was." Ino just nodded and started stretching too. I looked at Choji to see if he is going to say something too but he was just munching on chips. 'Where did he get that?'

I shook my head and made my way to Naruto and Sara. They were animatedly talking about something. They stopped talking when they saw me though. Naruto quickly stood up and said, "You are finally done. Wanna spar?" I shook my head. "Why?" He whined, I just smiled and used Mentoring on them both.

Sara

Academy Style Taijutsu Level 9, training levels left for today 4.

"Okay, Sara stand up, and let's take a look at your katas." She nodded and stood up.

"What about me?" Asked Naruto petulantly.

I shrugged. "I don't know, find something you can do or just watch. Your level difference is too much for me to work on you both. Naruto sighed but nodded and plopped to the ground.

Then I started mentoring.

It's been a week since I managed to get Calligraphy Skill and in this time, I managed to increase the levels of my Skills a lot. In the academy, I worked on my Fuinjutsu Skills and managed to improve the fuins I know and managed to get them all to level 10.

Calligraphyis Leveled by 15.

I worked on all the parts of the special explosion fuin and managed to get them all to level 10. 'With these levels, I should be able to safely duplicate the fuin.

Other than the fuinjutsu training, I worked on my chakra control and body at night, which netted me a lot of free points in my Strength and Endurance. Since I kept expending my CP, my CHA grew a lot. And with my work on fuinjutsu, I managed to increase my dexterity.

Leaf Sticking Exercise is Leveled by 11.

Every day, after the class, I taught others taijutsu. At first, there was only Naruto, Sara, Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino but after Iruka sensei praised them for their perfect forms, the spotlight turned to me and that resulted in me training everyone in my class except Hinata, Sasuke, and Kiba. In Hinata's case, her clan was the problem so she only stayed back to watch others train but didn't make any move to ask for my help. In Sasuke's and Kiba's cases, they just didn't think they need it. I confirmed this with them myself. With this, thanks to my Mentoring Skill, I managed to improve my Academy Style Taijutsu and Mentoring Skill a lot and gained lots of Intelligence for my troubles. There is a caveat with Mentoring that I didn't think there is before.

When I first saw the Mentoring screens I thought I could always reach someone's daily limit as long as I have enough levels on the subject but the reality is different. While there is nothing wrong with daily limits, people's learning speed is another, albeit secret requirement. So even though people with high daily limits may not reach potential, they sure as hell learn faster than others.

The reason for this is something very obvious as well. Kids' brains just can't take it. So if I try to push them too much, they start to forget other katas they learned the same day or mix them up in odd ways without noticing. That was a bummer but that doesn't mean I get lower experience than I should. My gains in Academy Style Taijutsu indicate as much.

Academy Style Taijutsu is Leveled by 13.

Mentoring is Leveled by 8.

I whistled happily upon seeing it. 'My stats are great now. Unlike how I started. My improved CHA means now my CP will increase by 150 if I level up. I won't though since leveling will only get harder and harder. My Strength and Endurance are great but Dexterity and Speed are lacking. Hmm. I already have a way to increase my Dexterity but Speed needs special attention.

Another thing about my status is the fact that if now I put my points in Wisdom, I will be able to keep using Leaf Sticking Exercise indefinitely which should increase my gains on that front immensely.

After thinking for a while, I decided to do just that. After I closed the Status Screen, I put a leaf on my forehead and waited with apprehension to see that somehow my calculations were wrong, but it didn't happen. Whenever a bit of my CP lowered, CP Regen countered it.

Making sure that I didn't make any mistakes, I started on doing my other project. The Special Explosion Fuin. Since I knew every single part of it, I was pretty sure I could do it without a problem but there is always a possibility until you see the proof yourself.

I took out my fuinjutsu supplies and started working on merging all the parts I was working on for a week while taking a look or two at the fuin I was supposed to duplicate.

All it took was an hour or two and a pair of failures but in the end, I managed to duplicate the fuin.

I put the newly made fuin in my pocket and looked at Iruka Sensei. He was talking about warring clans period. What I heard made me glad I didn't start in that timeline. After making sure there is still time until the end of the class, I started doing a second Special Explosion Seal.

"Now class, I hope you took notes since I won't be returning this subject." Then there was a silence.

I raised my head to look and saw that everyone is looking at me. I sighed, "I won't help you with theoretical subjects." Most of them just ahhed and moved to leave the class but some of them moved to protest but a shake of the head and a stern-looking to dealt with the headache before coming. I finished my second fuin.

I looked for Sasuke and saw him preparing to leave the class. "Hey, Sasuke." He turned to me. "Stay back, I have something to show you." He nodded and started waiting. Then I looked at Iruka who was walking toward me. 'That's better.' I stood up, "Iruka-sensei."

He hummed. "What is it, Arata-kun?"

I held the second Special Explosion Seal in front of him. "I managed to copy this fuin. I need to test it but I thought it would be better to do this with some supervision."

He took the fuin from me and checked it out. Looking closely at it, trying to understand what it does. After a while, he shook his head and asked, "What does this do?"

I started rundown on what are the parts and what they do. I finish by saying "This is the Special Explosion Fuin. It's awesome." I looked around and saw we got crowded somehow.

Iruka sighed. "It looks like you know what you are doing but we can't just put chakra inside this fuin. We need a specialist to take a look since this isn't the standard-issue explosion fuin."

"I can't take it to someone else." I pointed at Sasuke with my chin. "I got this from Uchiha Clan so I don't want others to duplicate this without their consent," I said while shaking my head. "What do you think Sasuke?"

As soon as I said that, everyone turned to Sasuke, Iruka included. Seeing the attention he gets Sasuke got red a little but managed to make out "It's better if you don't."

I nodded. "See, Iruka-sensei? The seal doesn't take much chakra anyway. Just five-thirds of my chakra. It shouldn't hurt much even if it goes off early."

Iruka sighed and bit his lip softly. "Fine. We will try this out in the training field. We don't need pits in the academy backyard." With that, he turned around and headed to the door. So held Sasuke's arm and followed him with the others. We walked for a few minutes and reached the training ground with the natural dungeon. I looked at the boulder and sure enough, there was still a glowing leaf. Iruka took out a kunai bound the fuin the back of it, then turned to me. "How long does it take to blow up?"

I took out the copy in my hand and took a cursory glance at it. Since I didn't make it with the intention of using it I didn't know how to specify the trigger timer but the cursory glance was all I needed. I put my copy back in my pocket and walked beside Iruka. I pointed to a particular part of the fuin and said, "Guide some of your chakra here. Timer scales with chakra you put in."

Iruka nodded and pushed some chakra on the paper. He then threw the kunai. Kunai thudded to a particular tree and we started waiting. After twenty seconds something hissed. Then I thought it was a dud but a millisecond later, there was a mighty explosion of flame. The flames raced towards us angrily but just a few meters before us, they hit something invisible and moved upward then behind, which created a fireball with two-meter radius. Iruka turned to me some sweat marring his forehead. "Did you say it wouldn't be powerful?" While shaking the hand he threw the kunai with.

I motioned for him to calm down and walked towards the place explosion took effect. What I saw there was both horrifying and satisfying. Weeds were burnt on the area and the tree lost nearly a quarter of its mass. The tree was bending dangerously so I stood a bit away. Then I heard some kids exclaiming, saying things like 'great', 'cool', 'wicked', 'meh.' I shook my head at the last one and walked to an open-mouthed Sasuke. "Sasuke." He turned to me from the area of effect and coughed once. I took out the other fuin and gave it to him. "Here, this is the timer. You need to push as much chakra as you need here from here, the storage fuin and it will start the timer."

Sasuke nodded then frowned. "I think you should come too. It's better if you tell my brother how to use these yourself."

I sighed. "I think you are right. Where do you think he is right now?" Sasuke just shrugged. "Well, if you don't know I will get back to the orphanage. He can find me there if he wants. Tell him in a week, I can increase the power of explosion by about 50%."

Sasuke nodded again. "I will tell him that then."

I nodded back and turned to Iruka, who was very patiently waiting for our discussion to finish. "Sensei, thank you for helping me. I wouldn't be able to do this without you."

Iruka nodded thoughtfully. "You did well on asking for my help but you misjudged the power of the fuin you made and that's bad."

I cleared my throat. "Um, sensei. I am not in trouble am I?"

Iruka chuckled. "Well, that's not for me to say. Now you will make another of the fuin and we will go see Hokage-sama. He will decide if you are in trouble or not."

I sighed. 'Well, that's another opportunity.' I smirked then looked up and found Iruka looking at me oddly.

Iruka and I reached the Hokage tower a few minutes after we departed from the training ground. He took me straight up the ladders and we came in front of a woman sitting on a desk, writing something. Iruka took a step forwards and said, "Hello, Hanako-san. We want an audience with Hokage-sama."

Hanako looked up from the papers she was reading and answered, "Ah, Iruka-san wait a minute I will ask right away." She then stood up and walked towards the door but before she can knock, a gruff voice came from the other side of the door.

"Let them in." Hanako nodded and motioned us to get inside. We passed the door and came inside a spacious room with a desk in the middle, on it piles of paper. Hokage took a deep breath and said, "Iruka, what is it?"

Iruka bowed to Hokage and I followed. He then said, "There is something that needs your attention."

Hokage frowned. "I already know what this young man- Arata does after academy hours. I don't think it's something that needs my attention."

"No, Hokage-sama," Chunin said shaking his head. Hokage motioned him to go on then Iruka continued, "Arata here managed to duplicate a rare fuin."

"And what fuin that is?"

He gave me a look that was piercing like he could see everything about me just by looking. I cleared my throat, "I call it Special Explosion Fuin Hokage-sama. It creates a fire chakra explosion and contains the said explosion in a way to create a smaller fireball."

Hokage nodded thoughtfully then turned to Iruka. "How strong was it?"

"Explosion itself was as strong as a standard-issue explosion fuin but Arata's version requires significantly less chakra to activate and as he said, creates a powerful fireball, like Fireball Jutsu." Iruka then took a deep breath and added, "And Arata here said he could make it even more powerful in a week. So I thought you should know."

"Well, you thought correctly." Hokage turned to me. "So, Arata. Where did you find a rare fuin?"

"Itachi-san gave it to me."

At the mention of Itachi's name, Hokage's focus zeroed on me. "Why did he do something like that? And when I ask that, I know he wanted you to duplicate it. What I want to know is why he thought you could do it."

I sighed. "You should know Itachi's brother –Sasuke- enrolls ninja academy. We are in the same class in fact. About a week ago Itachi came to the academy with Sasuke and we got the chance to talk. We talked about Uchiha's eyes and their enemies. Then I… might have told him that I can seal their eyes like Hyuuga's but without the kill switch so it doesn't turn to something to be used for enslaving others in the clan."

Hokage frowned, seemingly thinking something. After a while of silence, he asked, "So, you will try to come up with a seal to protect Uchiha from bloodline theft and they will sponsor your fuinjutsu training." I nodded then he asked, "Did Itachi told you anything when he gave you the fuin?"

I nodded. "He told me that if I can't duplicate the fuin in two months, Uchiha would stop being my sponsor. He didn't say much anything else, so I don't know the one to sponsor me Uchiha Clan or only Itachi-san."

Hokage sighed. "So you managed to duplicate the fuin in a week is that it?" I nodded. "Even if they didn't sponsor you before, I am pretty sure Uchiha will now. Now I need to see the fuin before letting you go. Do you have one with you?"

I shook my head. "I only got two. We tried one and the other is on its way to Itachi."

"Then make one here." I looked at him quizzically. I opened my mouth to say I needed a desk but Hokage just pointed at the side for me to see there was in fact a desk there.

I closed my mouth and nodded. Then took out my supplies and started working.

I put every fuin part in a way to make the fuin more efficient than before and finished it in a few minutes.

Special Explosion Fuin Leveled by 1

After making sure that I did it right I took the fuin and stood up. I moved to Hokage and gave it to him.

Hokage looked at the Fuin and grunted. After a few minutes, he looked at me and said, "I will give you the pass to sell these to Ninja Supply Stores. But you should first ask Itachi if it's okay with him. It wouldn't be good not to give face to your sponsor after all." I nodded. "Now before you go, the fuin you intend to make for Uchiha. How will that work?"

I shrugged. "I don't quite know just yet but since we want to protect bloodline, there needs to be a kill switch only usable by the person themselves. There should be protection against genjutsu, so their enemies don't just make them kill themselves. Since we don't want Uchiha's eyes to be stolen, it should either make the eye useless upon forceful removal or destroy it outright. That should be all."

"If you can do that much, it will be enough for Uchiha to feel themselves safe which would be best for us all." He said while sighing. "I just hope you can do it in time before…" Hokage shook his head. "Never mind. Arata, this is an A-Rank mission. Create a fuin to secure Sharingan." I nodded. "You can go now." He said but made no move to give back the Special Explosion Fuin. So I shrugged and made my way out of the office.

Outside Iruka held my shoulder and said, "Do you think you can do it?"

"I only know I will try. As Hokage-sama said, protecting the Sharingan good for us all." I said while shrugging.

"That's a good mindset. Make no mistake, you are really talented but don't let your talent cloud your judgment and make you prone to mistakes. Do your best and you will find lots of people to help you."

What he said made increase my confidence greatly. I nodded at him, "Thanks Iruka-sensei. I will do my best."

After the talk with Hokage, I headed towards the orphanage. 'With all the fuss about Special Explosion Fuin, I lost a lot of time. At least, I gained a level for the fuin. Now to the real question: How the hell am I going to create the fuin for Uchiha?' I sighed while walking and that got the attention of a couple that's walking beside me. The woman said things like 'look how serious he is' or 'kawaii' or such but I didn't mind them. I continued to think about the bleak future and what to do to prevent Uchiha Massacre.

I reached the orphanage in a few minutes without an answer to the question. But I was still hopeful about my prospects. Inside the orphanage, I went to the dining hall and sat on a chair to wait for dinner.

I was playing around with characters to create a new fuin when I heard an unexpected voice. "Arata." I turned to see Sasuke. He came to stand beside me and after I nodded continued, "My father wants to talk to you."

I tilted my head. "Your father?" He nodded. "Is Itachi-san there?"

"It seems my brother is on a mission. But I showed the fuin to my father. He's impressed." Sasuke said proudly like he was the most important person in the world. On second thought, that might be true.

I sighed. "Sasuke. Did he know that Itachi-san is my sponsor?" Sasuke shook his head. "Then I am fucked." I muttered. Sasuke tilted his head, I just sighed. "Does he want to talk to me right away?"

Sasuke nodded, "Yes. He said he is expecting you as soon as possible."

I head-butted to the table. "No time for dinner. I hope he didn't want to see me just to demand things of me." I looked at Sasuke who obviously didn't share my optimism. "Okay. Let's go."

"Where are you going?" I turned to see Hana looking at me with her hands on her waist. She then continued, "It's okay to come late but you can't go late. Sorry, kid."

Sasuke seemed shocked, "Uchiha Clan's head, Fugaku-sama wants to see him now." He said but it seemed rehearsed and dull. It was obvious his heart wasn't in it.

"And I am the head of this orphanage. If I say he can't, then he can't." She said while shaking her head. She then looked at resigned Sasuke and with a low voice, said, "Sorry kid. It's just how it is."

Sasuke nodded, "I will tell my father you said as much."

I looked at Sasuke apologetically. He had nothing to do with his fathers… whatever. I stood up and said, "Sasuke, sorry for taking your time. Let me walk you out."

"It's not your fault. My father is the one to send me." I looked at Hana who seemed to want to follow us.

I stepped beside Sasuke and asked. "Sasuke, what exactly did you tell your father?"

Sasuke sighed. "I told him about what you said to my brother. That you wanted to create a seal to protect Sharingan. He seemed doubtful at first but after he heard you duplicated that in a week… I think he wants to adopt you."

"Ugh." I couldn't help but grimace. Sasuke looked at me quizzically. I sighed, "I want to create my own clan. If Uchiha adopts me I can't do that. Not in Konoha at least."

Sasuke stopped and raised an eyebrow. "How do you create a clan?"

I smirked. "You get a dozen wife and sire a ten dozen kids. That's how." Someone slapped my shoulder. I turned to see an amused Hana. I grinned. "What? Was I wrong?"

Hana shook her head. "Don't poison Sasuke's mind with that kind of talk." She pinched Sasuke's cheek much to the dismay and embarrassment of him. She then said, "He will eventually lose his purity. Let him stay pure for a little more."

Sasuke looked at me quizzically, I just chuckled and held Sasuke's arm. "Let's go. Going without me is one thing but going late won't be good for you." As soon as I said this, Sasuke went rigid and ran towards the door full speed, which was pretty impressive. "I need to work on my Speed, definitely."

"Give it a rest kid. You are already working too hard as you are." Hana said and put her hand on my head. "So, tell me. What was that about?"

"I think I was being careless," I said shaking my head at the mistake I did.

"Being adopted by Uchiha is not a bad thing you know. Most kids here, at least the ones big enough would love to become an Uchiha." She turned me around and looked at my eyes. "So why don't you want it?" She squeezed my arm a little and added, "And don't tell me you want to create a clan."

I sighed. "First of all, I want to create a clan. Just the way I said I would and second, I want to be free which contributes to the first."

Hana nodded seriously. "They won't let you that easily. Today, I might have saved you but I won't always be with you. And when… When Sasuke comes again at weekend in the morning, what are you going to say to Fugaku-san's face?

I held my head. "Argh! This is not a problem for a kid. I need someone to solve this for me. But who?" I turned to Hana. She just shook her head. I sighed. "I have no idea. I guess I have to be honest and reject him in a way to placate him at the same time. Maybe I should say something like, I am not worthy to be Uchiha when I don't even have Sharingan or something."

Hana chuckled, "I don't think it would work. Just be honest. It might be bad short-term but it will be better long-term." I nodded. She gestured for me to follow. "Anyway. You can think after dinner. Let's get to it."

After dinner, I made my way to my room and started working on Fire Chakra Transformation Fuin. The reason was simple. I can always use more than one Chakra Storage Fuin and Chakra Containment Fuin but using more than one Fire Chakra Transformation will just needlessly complicate things. With that in mind, I started grinding.

I was in my -at least- the hundredth fuin when I heard a knock on my window. I stood up to see Itachi on other side of it. I opened the window and let him get in.

When Itachi got inside, the first thing he did was to look at the Fire Chakra Transformation Fuin strewn around. He then looked at me and said, "I heard my father wants to adopt you." I flinched minutely but Itachi still caught it and smirked a little. He then continued, "And I heard you wanted to create your own clan by getting a dozen wives." His visage turned serious suddenly and I saw dark clouds looming overhead. "Don't tell something like that to my brother ever again. You have no right to take away his purity."

I coughed weakly. "Sorry. I saw my mistake and won't do it again. So, why did you come?"

Itachi looked at me seriously. "I am here to look at how you are doing and to see you making another copy. In exchange, I will help you ward off my father."

I beamed. "Deal." I raised my hand for a handshake. He took it and as soon as he did, I released a burst of chakra. There was a puff of smoke. What was left behind was Itachi but his eyes were red. I sighed. "Itachi-san. I am not in a genjutsu am I?"

Itachi shook his head. "It's a habit." His eyes then turned to normal. He took a fuin from the ground and asked, "Why are you working on this one particular?"

"It transforms normal chakra to fire chakra. By improving the capacity of this one, I can increase the output of fuin by a lot." I said while looking at the particular fuin Itachi was holding.

Itachi nodded, "What are you intend to do?"

I frowned, "What do you mean?"

"You are working to help Uchiha. Then you help other kids at the academy." I nodded. "Why?"

I shrugged. "I am just trying to help mostly."

Itachi hummed. "Trying to help. I need help with something. Will you help?"

"You? What do you need?" I said, frowning since I couldn't think of something Itachi can't that I can, other than fuinjutsu that is. Even with that, I am pretty sure he could do it.

Itachi pointed at the window. "We should get out first."

"Out? But I can't get out Hana…"

"She won't know." Itachi interrupted me. He looked at me seriously and continued, "I need help right now. We don't have time."

I sighed. "Okay, but just this once." Itachi smiled and put his hand on my shoulder. I read side along shunshin was disorienting but that was not the case for me. I was in my room one second and next, I was inside a forest. When we stopped, I asked, "Itachi-san, will you tell me what this is all about?"

Itachi gestured me to follow, so I did. After a while, he started talking. "There is a man. He is suspected to be a cannibal that killed at least six people. I have my orders to kill him."

'Odd.' "You mean Hokage-sama wants you to kill him? I was under the impression that there is another punishment. What was it called? Yeah, correction facility. Why don't you just apprehend him and send him there?"

Itachi suddenly stopped and turned to me. He then whispered, "it's not Hokage-sama who gave me the mission but one of the council members.'

'Council? That's not right. You can't keep Hokage out of something like this. If it's something to do with the death of a citizen, then Hokage is the one to tell you what to do.' I shook my head. "Itachi-san. What you intend to do is wrong. We should tell this to Hokage-sama."

Itachi took a step towards me, getting inside my area of comfort. He then pointed to a direction and said, "This is not something we can let Hokage deal with. He is soft, he won't do what's necessary." He dropped his hand and continued, "Help me with this, and I will give you and will help you with anything you want, even becoming Hokage." He came even closer. "And if you don't, you won't leave this place."

I gulped loudly. 'There is something wrong with this. Itachi… What is he trying to do? I don't care to become Hokage but I would like to stay alive, thank you very much. Maybe I should help him. The man is a cannibal after all.' I sighed. "No. I won't help you with this. This is wrong on many levels and I want nothing to do with it."

Itachi shook his head. "You are as soft as the Hokage. I will do this myself." With that, he disappeared.

I looked around to find my way back to the city, but all I got was Itachi's trail. Where Itachi ran, there was a glowing, blue line. 'Do I have a doujutsu?' I shook my head. 'Now is not the time.' I started following the line. The line disappeared from time to time but it came back as soon as it was gone. I followed the trail for a while and came upon a two-man standoff. Itachi was looking at a man with hair so bright that I could see that it was green even in the dark. On the ground was a mangled corpse of what I guessed to be a human. 'It was true. He is a cannibal.' I shook my head and ran towards the corpse. I put my hand on it and expelled all my chakra but what I hoped would happen, didn't happen. Corpse remained. I wanted to say Itachi to stop but I couldn't make myself do it.

Then Itachi moved. He was so fast, I couldn't see him while moving. There was a kunai in his one hand and with the other, he was holding the cannibal's head. I closed my eyes and started waiting for the voice of kunai tearing flesh but it didn't happen. I opened my eyes slowly with some apprehension and found myself in my room. I quickly looked at the window but it was still open. There was a note on the ground in front of the window. I took it and read it. 'I don't need my eyes to trap you in a genjutsu.' The writing was in such a way that I could feel Itachi's amusement resonating with it. I continued reading. 'Your fairness and care of people have been noted. My father won't bother you since he doesn't think you can do what you said you could still. And if you need something, tell Sasuke and I will do what I can.'

I sighed. "So Sasuke lied when he told me his father sent me. Damn. I didn't know he was that good of a liar." I sighed and turned back the note and there was a different writing. 'And don't walk around with a leaf stuck on your forehead. A six-year-old isn't supposed to have that good chakra control.' I put my hand on my forehead and sure enough, there was a leaf there. I shrugged. 'Noted.'
