Flip
One of Beregond's favorite games to play with Bergil when he was small was to sneak up behind him, flip him over his shoulder, and hold him upside down like that for a while. Bergil would squirm and laugh and yell to be put down again, but Beregond would just walk around with his son slung over his shoulder and talk to people like Bergil wasn't even there (but with such a wide grin on his face that it was very clear he knew exactly what he was doing).
By the time Bergil turned ten, he'd gotten so tall and solidly built that it was getting harder for Beregond to do that without hurting his back, so they played that game less and less.
And then: Pippin showed up.
Pippin is not as tall as Bergil. He's also not as heavy as Bergil. Actually, it turns out he's the perfect height and weight for a tall Man of Gondor to sling him over his shoulder and carry him around like a squirmy, loudly protesting sack of potatoes.
Needless to say, Beregond now has a new favorite game.
A/N: The fact that there is no option for Beregond on the character selection is an utter travesty. This is abhorrent! I demand justice for my husband!
