3rd POV

It turns out that nobody could actually explain how nearly 60% of the cursed spirits released during the night parade were exorcised in one go. After all, it was said that the numbers of grade 1, semi grade 1, and special grade present were...astronomical which greatly worried the elders who were expecting a sharp decline in their numbers only for this...strange phenomenon to occur. Some speculated it to be Gojo's doing, however, the strongest denied it and was backed up by the few sorcerers who witnessed his brawl with a curse user while those strange lights morphed into a massive sphere resembling a certain attack from a well-known Shonen Manga which caused a great panic among sorcerers and curses alike before it descended upon on them. What people had mistaken for a disastrous onslaught turned out to be a blessing the moment the ball of light encased the entirety of Shinjuku, destroying every curse in the area and leaving only unharmed humans in the vicinity. It is safe to say that...nobody knew what the hell that was.

This unexpected event put an end to the battle, at least the one that took place in Shinjuku. The one in Kyoto was still going on as all the sorcerers stared in shock at their surroundings, their shocks skyrocketing once those they thought on death's door just...stood up with all their limbs intact.

"..."

"What the fuck."

That was an understatement.

.

.

.

The situation was so...unprecedented that it was labeled as... 'The Christmas Miracle' courtesy of none other than Gojo himself, and everyone was still floored by what just happened to even care which name was given to it. However, it will be said that this was an event proper to Shinjuku since Kyoto was still...kinda being swarmed with what was left of Geto's curses for the male had obviously concentrated the greatest numbers of his cursed spirits there to hinder his former classmates.

Still, despite the shock, those if not, everyone, able to fight were immediately dispatched to Kyoto under principal Yaga's orders which made it slightly awkward for some sorcerers since many had to use public transportations to get there, not owning cars or motorcycles. Some Non-sorcerers mistook this as some kind of...weird School trip for most of them wore the same uniform. Even though there were adults in the bunch. Awkward indeed.

After the anticlimactic turn of events, Geto was pronounced defeated by none other than Okkotsu Yuta and was truthfully terminated by Gojo Satoru who had seemed as equally baffled as the previously alive curse user. Geto, in his final moments had asked the white-haired male the following once he appeared:

"What in the living fuck happened at Shinjuku, Satoru?"

Truth be told, he had no idea either.

The issue did not go unnoticed by the elders who immediately urged every sorcerer that had been present at Shinjuku to leave a report of everything they saw during the 'Christmas Miracle', yes, the name stayed. Obviously, not many were able to put words into the matter as most of them thought it was Gojo's doing until they all freaked out at the ginormous gold sphere dropping on them like a meteor, which did not help at identifying the cause of all this.

That is until one report, among the sea of others, states the appearance of a mysterious woman. It was...Kusakabe Atsuya who was then immediately summoned by the Higher-Ups while the principals of both Schools, Masamichi Yaga, and Gakuganji Yoshinobu, followed by a few grade-1 sorcerers, Mei Mei, Kento Nanami- and special grades, Gojo Satoru, although Tsukumo Yuki made a run for it mere minutes after the phenomenon, so she was out of the equation, attended the meeting.

The idea of a being capable of causing all this without cursed energy was as believable as the defeat of Gojo Satoru. His words. Although the lack of remnant left by the 'attack' was enough to make it somewhat...plausible even though Gojo was insufferable enough to aggravate everyone in the room by making statements regarding the absurdity of the idea.

"Mah, I'm sure Atsuya's just confused! There's no way a Non-sorcerer caused this! that's impossible, come on! Did you hit your head or something? Are you sure it wasn't just some random curse user we missed?"

Everyone in the room commended Atsuya for his patience.

The male grumbled, "I saw it with my own two eyes, she killed a grade one without using cursed energy! Why would I make this up?!" he snarled back.

"Hm...To feel important maybe since you're barely mentioned?" Gojo concluded while holding his chin in a pensive manner. He was rewarded by a jab that was stopped mere centimeters from his grinning face.

Ignoring the commotion and wishing to get more information, one of the elders asked "What does she look like?"

At that everyone stopped to stare expectantly at the swordsman who froze at the question. He seemed...reluctant to answer that one which was in itself...odd?

"What is it, Kusakabe-san? Is there a problem?" Mei Mei voiced dispassionately.

"Huh..."

"Hm? So it was a lie?" Gojo cocked his head to the side.

"IT WASN'T."

"Then tell us what she looks like so we can find her and maybe question her." Masamichi added with a grunt, wishing to be done with this meeting as soon as possible.

Sweat rolled down the swordsman's face as a blush of embarrassment coated his cheeks. He couldn't believe what he was about to divulge. "she...she was..."

The next few minutes were filled with Gojo's unbelieving peals of laughter that resulted in whacks on his head from his former teacher.

Well, who could blame him?

The idea that an Otaku of all things was the cause of this was as absurd as entertaining the thought of the strongest sorcerer's demise-again, his words-.although since that was the only clue available, they had no other choices but to...roll with it. It was later on issued by the elders to find the gaijin woman as soon as possible. Which was...easier said than done since she could be anywhere or even out of the country as they spoke. Atsuya was pressed into giving a description of her which he did to the best of his abilities.

"Oh, wait a second I'll draw her!" Gojo happily suggested, a paper and a pencil seemingly appearing out of nowhere in hand. Even though his drawing skills were...questionable, they let him.

This meeting was turning...absurd.

"Uuugghh..."

Colith was weeping. Her newly brought Jojo jacket had a massive tear in it. That was enough to bring her to tears...that is until she recalled that she had powers and proceeded to quickly fix it, an embarrassed cough leaving her from the disproportionate reaction she just had as she glanced left and right to see if someone witnessed that. But aside from that-

'jjk huh?'

That was...sick, though she doesn't remember the previous events occurring in the anime... Unless it happened before? Heh, she should re-read the Manga just to be sure since yesterday's events were all strangers to her. Huh.

She was currently at Minato- why Minato, because Naruto-sitting in a restaurant she found earlier on her stroll after all the pandemonium she caused hours ago. She went a little overboard If she had to admit...but who could blame her? With the knowledge that she was in one of the licenses she was fond of, well, the excitement had taken over. Kinda.

Alright, dropping a literal [Genkidama] was kinda too much, to be honest, but...! It was fun. Would it alert everyone? Yep. Did she care? Not really, she was just happy to be in a franchise she was familiar with. Guess the Higher-Ups weren't as cruel as she thought.

Colith politely thanked the waitress who brought her order with a nod before starting her meal.

'First of all, the timeline. If I remember correctly, the anime takes place around 2018 or something like that.' her eyes flickered to the calendar hanging on the wall. 'so why am I in 2017? I don't remember reading about yesterday's event in the manga... Then again it's been a while since I've read jjk...so...'

She remembers freaking out while she was in the sky, mistaking yesterday's event as the 'Shibuya incident' and promptly killed every curse in the city before realizing that the dates didn't actually correlate and that she wasn't even in the good neighborhood. Talk about embarrassing.

Once done, Colith exited the restaurant and began roaming around. She wasn't really concerned about what would happen next, though she changed clothes just in case. It wouldn't do her any good if she was captured because she was sure as hell that, knowing how annoying the fossils-Higher-Ups of this manga were, it wouldn't even surprise her that they're actively looking for her right now. Well, it's kind of her fault too.

'better keep a low profile before the anime starts...' she thought.

Now, what the hell could she do before canon tho? It's not like there's much to do aside from maybe playing the hopeless tourist, though it might get redundant at some point and she'd find herself with too much useless stuff in her house so no. Maybe she could look for a job in the meantime? Hmm...it would be tempting, but the question now is which job to apply for? It wasn't as though she really needed it but staying home for a long period was beginning to become dull. It wasn't even about money, but having a semblance of normalcy before shit hits the fan would be great! Besides, she never had one before, if we exclude her time in the military that is. Heh.

For a while, Colith walked aimlessly, not really careful about where her feet took her while she pondered on the numerous things she could do. Her eyes caught sight of something. She made a face before swiftly dealing with the small curse that had been hanging on a street lamp, peering around with its bugging eyes like a bird. Only Allah knows how the heck she missed those earlier. Then again she threw her research out of the window the moment she caught sight of a Levi laundry product. Bold of you to assume she didn't buy this shit even though she rarely did her laundry because powers.

She shook her head before an idea formed in her mind almost immediately, prompting her to fish out her phone and quickly type something before a big smile etched itself on her lips at the new Info she gathered. First, she truly needed to re-read the Manga because, phew, shit memories, and second, she just found what she might do for the next 6 months. Heck, why didn't she think of this sooner?

The woman let out a huff before halting as she realized that her hand was reaching for a doorknob.

"...?" she blinked in surprise before looking around with raised brows. Where in the name of Rose was she? The place looked vaguely...familiar as crazy as it sounds but she's sure as hell to have never set a foot here! Heck, it's her first time being thrown into a remotely modern Japan! She thinks. Huh.

She glanced back at the door in front of her with a slight frown as she sent a burst of aura forward. It seemed as though nobody lived there, or they were out, probably. Point is, she almost broke into a random apartment. Yikes. A hand unconsciously found her chest where she felt a slight ache there before she panicked.

Oh boi, was she sick?! She quickly used [Instant heal] on herself before her frown deepened when she realized that it wasn't actually physical but rather...emotional?

Now that's weird as hell. Why was she sad?

She quickly walked out of the apartment complex while glancing at it with puzzled looks.

Why was she about to enter some random ass apartment though?

It was approximately 8:00 AM when a young boy rushed out of his house after yelling an energetic 'I'm leaving' before slamming the front door under his grandfather's cranky complaints to 'stop being noisy this early in the morning' before the teenager sprinted to his school. He wasn't late, far from it. The simple act of running, slaloming between pedestrians, and jumping between barriers and fences were common occurrences that gave him a good morning's adrenaline and leisure before reaching school. And with his more than normal physical abilities, Yuji rarely took public transport to get to point A from point B since the boy could easily reach his destination in mere minutes.

"Whoa, be careful there, Yuji!" a middle-aged woman called sweetly and tossed a paper bag the teen easily caught with a jump as he ran past her house "Take these with you and say hello to your grandpa for me!"

"Will do, Yuzuki-Oba!" Yuji waved wildly with a toothy grin before jumping on a wall, set on parkouring for today. He ignored the looks of annoyance and fondness he got as he ran, already used to those. He opened the bag to see what Yuzuki-oba-san prepared this time for him and let out a whoop of joy at the sight of Usagi manjus.

Cool! He loved those!

After popping two of the treats in his mouth, nearly crying in pleasure from the sweet taste, he finally arrived at the school's gate where several students jumped in surprise at his energetic arrival before continuing on their way as if nothing happened, though some threw him weird looks before going in. He quickly greeted the P.E teacher who returned the greeting before jogging to his classroom.

"Yuji-kun!"

He skids to a stop mere seconds from entering his classroom before glancing toward the stairs where a girl with a bob cut sporting glasses was excitedly bouncing up and down. Next to her, a tall boy with short hair and closed eyes was beckoning for him to come closer.

"Sasaki-senpai, Iguchi-senpai!" Yuji exclaimed before walking to them with a bright smile, happy to see them. "good morning, how are you?"

Sasaki grinned while Iguchi nodded along with a smile "Good! So hum, did you read it?" she asked right off the bat, eyes narrowed on the teen who paused.

Yuji made a confused sound as a sweat drop rolled down his face. "Read what?"

The girl swiveled to her classmate, hands on her hips with an 'i told you so' look. "See? I told you he'd forget!"

"Forget what?" Yuji tried again, seemingly lost.

"Tsk Tsk, Yuji Yuji Yuji! I'm truly disappointed in you!" Sasaki said, waving a finger in front of the confused teen's face who leaned back a little while Iguchi rummaged through his pockets for something.

"Huh?"

"look!" the taller boy shoved his phone to his face.

It took approximately 10 seconds for Yuji to process what he was seeing before he let out a loud cry of disbelief. "IT'S OUT?! ALREADY?!"

"Of course it is!" Sasaki laughed, her arms folded together while Iguchi handed the phone to the shocked teen. "Honestly, I was so sure you'd be up to date by now. They released the chapter this morning and there's-"

"-Even a bonus chapter! " Yuji finished with a gasp before rubbing the back of his head while muttering "I knew I was forgetting something..." which earned him an eye roll from Sasaki and a chuckle from Iguchi. Though before he could start reading, the bell announcing the start of class echoed, startling the teens into quickly running to their respective classrooms before a teacher might punish them for goofing around.

[Lunch]

"Man, I can't believe it still doesn't have an anime yet, it's so cool! Plus we're starting to get into serious stuff and everything!" Yuji exclaims, munching on the treats he got from Yuzuki-ba-san this morning while he scrolled on his phone with a pout. He was once again with his upperclassmen duo, installed in some staircase.

Iguchi hummed as he ate from his bento, "Yeah, but it's unlikely an adaptation might come out of it."

Yuji perks up. "Eh, why not?"

Sasaki pushes up her glasses, "Well, what Takeshi-kun means to say is that most of the mangas we know got an anime roughly around a year or two after being serialized. Plus they have to hit a 50-chapter mark to even hope for a season, you know?" the girl informed. "besides, Daigo's only been out for 3 months, so we'll have to wait before it gets enough attention for an adaptation." she said matter of factly.

Yuji groaned, shoulders sagging in dismay. "That sucks."

The trio sighed in sync as a gloomy cloud hovered above their heads before Sasaki blinked in surprise once she caught sight of someone walking down the stairs.

"Ah, Good morning sensei !" She greeted happily, catching both boys' attention. They glanced toward the newcomer who lazily waved a hand.

"Sup kiddos." the woman greeted which made the teens clench their hearts.

'So cool..!'

"hm?" she approached the trio, peering down into Yuji's phone in curiosity. "What are ya reading pinky?"

The boy jolts before smiling widely, a red tint present on his cheeks. "Daigo! It's a manga that just came out! " he responds with enthusiasm. "It's pretty cool!"

The woman's eyes widened for a split second before returning to their normal state as she hummed. " that so? I see." she patted each of their heads as she walked past them. "Don't forget to turn in your respective projects by the end of the week, okay kids? See ya." They watched as she disappeared around a corner, probably to the staff room.

"Damn, Tobe-sensei's so pretty..." Yuji breathed wistfully after a long silence.

"Of course she is! Anyway, did you hear the latest?" Sasaki spoke suddenly, turning to the boys who snapped out of their daze to stare at her. "They said that she was actually part of a gang in the past! That's why she got that scar, pretty cool right?" she whispered, convinced by the rumor.

"eh? I thought she was a former soldier 'cause she's effing ripped! Did you see those biceps?!" Yuji's eyes sparkled in admiration. "She could literally kick my ass and I would say thank you!"

"Huh, maybe she just likes working out? At first, I thought she would be our new P.E teacher since she seemed really strong. Then I saw Takagi-sensei so that was out of the window. " Iguchi added in before sweat dropping at their unimpressed faces.

"Boring! I'm staying with the former gang leader though!"

"And I with the former soldier!" Yuji affirmed. "But hey, now that I think about it, it's my first time having a foreigner as a teacher. Is it the same for you too?" He asks curiously, tilting his head like a puppy.

Iguchi and Sasaki exchanged a look before nodding. They didn't expect a gaijin as a teacher either for their second year. "Yeah, she's the first actually. I wasn't expecting her to be fluent in Japanese. Usually, foreigners are either music teachers or English teachers, there's no in between."

"That's so cliché, Sasaki-senpai."

"Yes but you can't deny that it's the truth." she huffed.

"Eh...You should slow down on your Manga consumption. It's making you delusional about real life."

"like you're one to talk. You look like some Shonen protagonist ." she teased, nudging the boy.

"I mean 'the Tiger of west junior high's a dead giveaway already, right?" Iguchi grinned.

They all stared at each other for a solid two seconds before bursting out in laughter, getting weird looks from a few nearby students in the process. The bell rang, urging the trio to quickly finish their meals before they returned to their classroom after Sasaki reminded the boys to regroup in their club room after class. After that, the rest of the day went quite swiftly, if we exclude the fact that several students got a sudden interest in art, probably due to the new art teacher, things were pretty normal.

To Yuji, Tobe-sensei was cool! Granted, she's the first dark-skinned gaijin he's ever got the chance to interact with for the longest time, she was by default one he respected greatly.

In the beginning, he found the woman quite intimidating like most of the students who saw her for the first time, standing alongside the other teachers during the welcome ceremony with a blank face. However, they quickly realized that she was actually really friendly and kind, if not the kindest among her peers, and dang was she tall! Which was a big plus in Yuji's books.

He didn't really have an interest in art, to begin with, but ever since he got her as a teacher, it can be said that he improved rather well. He evolved from stickmen to detailed stickmen which was nothing to scoff at! Plus, Tobe-sensei's classes were super cool! They got to use animes and mangas as references which was neat! Some of the students even called her 'mom' by mistake, though that was mostly because she had those weird motherly vibes.

Yuji will not mention that he was among those students. Nope. Nuh-uh. Gosh, that had been so embarrassing...!

.

.

.

Roughly a month following the start of the school year, a big change occurred in Yuji's life. The boy had come home from school one evening only to find his grandfather lying on the ground, unresponsive.

Naturally, he panicked, not knowing what to do on the spot, and tried to shake the elder up without success. Unbeknownst to him, the old man had just lost consciousness a minute prior to his arrival, which allowed Yuji to dash to the hospital in distress with his unconscious grandpa on his back. Panic and dread clouded his mind to the point of forgetting that ambulances actually existed, though he got to the hospital in record time for his grandpa to be taken care of.

Turns out the old man had a stroke. He had never been this grateful for his enhanced strength than at this very moment. Granted he got an earful from the staff for his recklessness, his action, as unorthodox as it was, permitted to save his old man's life just in time so being scolded was the least of his worries.

Wasuke Itadori was shortly admitted to the Sugisawa hospital but remained unconscious. Yuji knew his grandpa was getting weaker and older, heck, he even told him not to overwork himself but the damn geezer had none of it, saying that he could take care of himself! Stupid old man! That...night truly shook him up. He thought that he was about to lose his grandpa, just like that. He knew his gramps would eventually die one day...doesn't mean he was ready for it to happen so soon.

Furthermore, this is where his admiration and affection for Tobe-sensei grew tenfold.

He had crossed paths with the woman two days after his grandpa was admitted to the hospital. He was just walking out of a flower shop when he ran into her. Literally. Least to say he was genuinely surprised when instead of the other person usually staggering and stumbling he was the one to nearly topple from the impact. That is until his arm was caught, preventing him from ending up on his ass.

"whoa there- heh? Pinky?"

"T-Tobe-Sensei...?!"

He had no idea how she immediately knew he was not well. Then again, he hadn't been his usual bubbly self and kinda missed school for two days. He did try to make it seem as though he was okay though, but Tobe-sensei easily saw through it. Also, the puffy eyes were a dead giveaway so it was useless. To his bewilderment, Tobe-sensei showed genuine concern for him. He knew she was equally nice to everyone but... He wasn't expecting her to just offer to help them out by paying for his old man's treatment.

"You shouldn't have to worry about this, Itadori-kun. It's my role as an adult to handle it so you don't have to."

Yuji teared up.

He doesn't even remember exactly the last time he cried this much and it worsened when she tried to comfort him. Yuji's not even sure if he's ever received any kind of motherly gesture before. She was truly a blessing he honestly wasn't expecting in his life.

In short, Yuji would die for this woman.

After the crying session was over, Tobe-sensei then invited him to a restaurant. The stress of potentially losing his grandpa made Yuji actually forget to eat for the past two days which obviously didn't sit right with Tobe-sensei once she learned that and promptly dragged a flailing Yuji to the nearest restaurant so he could eat. Later on, she sent him home so he could catch some sleep.

The next day, they both visited his grandpa. Thankfully, the geezer was wide awake, though he had been trying to leave the hospital before their arrival, but the doctors had none of it. Sure it was wild to witness an elderly thrash around like some fish while spouting profanities and being held down by three people after said elder just survived a stroke that should've normally left him weaker than usual, but hey, Itadori genes.

Despite his protests, he was forced to stay there for his own safety and Yuji couldn't agree more. They had no relatives to make sure that nothing wrong happened to the senior while Yuji was at school. Moreover, this also applies to the teenager who was still a minor, and therefore needed to be supervised, although Yuji said he would be fine on his own. But that was not knowing Tobe-sensei.

Thus, on this fine day of April 22nd, Tobe-sensei offered to take Yuji in, much to his and his grandpa's surprise.
