Chapter 1

An unconscious figure lay on the ground. It had ragged black clothes and oddly enough, was a skeleton with short black hair with fringe. It resembled a female version of the Reaper. The environment she was in was still partly damp as after the rain and she was also covered with mud . The sun shone brightly on the ground and gave a pleasant feeling of warmth.

The Reaper slowly began to regain consciousness though with great difficulty.

" Ahh…." - she groaned, regaining consciousness." Oww my head…. Wait a minute, where am I ? "

She slowly rose to a sitting position, holding her head. She was surprised when she looked at her surroundings and even more when she looked at herself. She didn't know why she was there, or why she was a skeleton and one with a torn robe. She noticed that beside her lay a long, shiny and sharpened scythe. After getting up , she picked it up and started waving it around checking its effect. It was light for her and she could see her reflection in the blade. For a moment she was terrified after seeing her reflection. She looked awful with dirt stains covering her in various places, including on her head. She didn't have time to look further because a loud scream rang out behind her.

" HEY YOU !"

This loud call startled the skeleton and slowly began to turn. After turning around, she saw a group of men armed with pistols and spears looking at her. They didn't look friendly, but she nevertheless decided to take a step toward them. It was a bad move, because one of them without warning threw a spear in her direction. She quickly stepped back before the spear could hit her leg. She tried to say that she had no bad intentions, but unfortunately they didn't listen to her at all and just started shooting. Having no other choice, she had to dodge and with the help of a scythe she managed to deflect some of the projectiles aimed at her.

She didn't notice that one of them moved further to the left and started aiming a sharpened spear at her. As soon as the gunshots stopped for a moment , she immediately heard the sound of a twig breaking from the right. After quickly turning to face the sound, she was surprised. It turned out that the man , who had briefly moved away from the group, aimed the spear straight at her chest, and the throw was perfectly hit. The reaper was surprised by the pain she felt from the spear. She knew this shouldn't be the case, after all she had no body, only a skeleton without the possibility of any bleeding.

Seeing that the Reaper was leaning slightly the men began to approach , this time with ropes held , which she had not noticed before. Seeing this, she had no idea what to do , so she decided to quickly run away from there. Using her scythe, she began scrubbing the dry ground with this object, creating something for a veil. The men blindly fired shots , and the reaper took the opportunity and quickly ran towards where the tall trees were. She tried to climb as quickly as possible to a nearby tree that had enough thick branches. Climbing was hampered because she was hindered by spear, but despite the problems she managed to hide in time , before those there managed to notice her.

When the ground subsided, the men tried to find this strange figure but did not see him anywhere. The Reaper hid perfectly on a branch, and even though it was daytime and the sun was shining , those who were there could not even see her shadow perfectly matched the shadows of the branches.

After a few minutes, they gave up and moved on. From a distance you could hear the shout of the leader , who thought they would have an interesting victim. The reaper paid no further attention to them. After making sure they were far enough away, she slid down the tree trunk and touched the ground. Wanting to turn in the direction where those bad people had run, she forgot that the spear was still stuck in her and, consequently, she caught on the tree trunk causing pain. She quickly covered her mouth before she could make any sound . Without waiting any longer, she grabbed the spear and pulled it out in a quick motion. It also caused pain, but after a while she felt nothing. Pushing back her robe a bit , she looked at her chest and fortunately none of the bones were affected , and only minor scratches were visible .

She didn't want to stay there any longer, so she moved in another direction away from that place and those awful people. Walking she wondered what actually happened to her. Despite her efforts, she couldn't remember anything. She doesn't know who she was or if she was even alive, and she probably never will know.
