A teenage Beth was pacing around her bedroom, feeling nervous. She had long blond hair she wore in a high ponytail and brown eyes. She wore a red ribbon, crop red tank top, and black pants.
Beth sighed; she couldn't believe this. What would her dad think? Would he even care all that much? Long story short, Beth just found out she's pregnant with Jarry's kid and she was worried what her dad will do once he finds out.
"Ok, Bethany, just chill. Dad hasn't been home in months, what are the changes he shows up before the baby gets here." Beth then heard a loud bang downstairs and she tensed, knowing exactly what that was. "Oh no. Ok, don't panic, maybe he's drunk, and you can sneak away without him noticing."
Beth then went downstairs where she heard commotion in the kitchen. "God fucking dammit!! Where is it?!" She heard Rick yell.
Beth growled. 'The one time he doesn't come home drunk!!!' She sighed and slowly went to the kitchen. 'Maybe I should just tell him, I mean, it's only a matter of time before he finds out for himself. What's the worst he could do anyway, it's not like he ever cared about what I do.'
"Hey dad." She greeted and Rick looked at her over his shoulder. "Oh, Beth, great! Uh, have you seen my-my, thing, my-my, l-little sc-screwdriver?"
"Uh, no I haven't. Don't you like, have a ton of them in the garage?"
"Yeah, but th-this one's im-important." Beth took a deep breath. "Dad, there is something I have to tell you-"
"Found it!" Rick cheered before running to his garage, Beth following. "Dad." She called. "C-Can it-it wait sweety, daddy has a ton of shit he has to do." Beth rolled her eyes. 'When don't you?'
"No, dad, it can't. It's kinda…It's kinda important." Rick gave her annoyed look. "Ok, Beth, just because a ton of bitchy girls say they're better than you, doesn't mean it's true and it's not worth an ounce of my time!"
Beth was now fuming. "I'm trying to tell you I'm pregnant!!!" She blurted out angrily but then gasped and covered her mouth. Rick's eyes widened. "Did you just say you're pregnant?"
Beth eyes glance to the side then back at him. "No." Rick narrowed his eyes. "Bethany, you better be shitting with me!" He warned but Beth stood silent, and Rick lost it. "Are you fucking serious?! You're pregnant?! Who the hell is the father?!"
Beth bit her lip. "...Jeremy Smith." If Rick wasn't mad before, he was pissed now. "Jeremy?! That dumb ass kid you met before I left, he's the father?! Does he know?!" Beth nodded and Rick covered his eyes with his hand while shaking his head. "Jesus' fucking Christ Beth, what were you thinking?!"
"I wasn't thinking!"
"Not with your brain! I thought I taught you better than that!"
Beth growled. "You haven't taught me shit!" Rick took a deep breath. "Ok, don't worry, w-we'll get that thing out of you." He said while grabbing some kind of gun. Beth backed away from him and covered her stomach. "What?! No! I'm keeping it!"
"What?!"
"I said I'm keeping it!"
"Y-You gotta be kidding me! You're keeping it?! Beth, you're fucking 17 and the father of your child is a moron, you can't keep it!" Beth glared at him. "That isn't your choice to make, it's mine!"
"I'm your father, I can tell you to do whatever I want!"
"Not with this! It's my body, my baby, my choice! I'm keeping it, dad and that's final!" Rick glared and gritted his teeth. "And how the hell are you going to take care of a baby?! You're not even out of school yet!"
"I don't know…but-but Jerry said he'll help me." Rick face palmed. "Jerry?! That idiot can barely take care of himself, how the hell is he going to take care of you and a baby?!"
Beth stood tall and glared daggers at her father. "You know what dad, why do you even care?! You're barely home anyway! Are you worried this baby will slow you down on your 'important science?!'"
"No, I'm worried my daughter is going to end up just as dumb as her boyfriend! Honestly, what processed you to do this?! Didn-Didn't we have the talk?"
"No!" Beth yelled. Rick raised a brow. "Wha-really? Huh, I thought we did."
"No, we didn't, because you're always gone on your stupid adventures leaving me here alone and even when you are home, you barely pay attention to me! Maybe I wouldn't be pregnant right now, if you would have just paid a little more attention to me!"
"Oh, so now you're blaming me because you couldn't keep your legs closed!"
"Well, that's what happens when you leave a teenage girl home alone without any parental authority!!" Rick crossed his arms. "Noted, I'll leave you with a babysitter for now on."
Beth growled. "That's not what I- whatever, I hate you!!" Beth then stomped off leaving Rick alone in the garage with his thoughts. "Dammit…" He sighed and looked at the picture of his wife before picking it up. "What would you do…?"
…
Later,
Jerry was in his room, listening to music when a knock came from his door. "Jeremy! Come down for dinner!"
"Ok, mom, be there in a minute!" He was about to put his stuff away when-
Boom!!*
Jerry looked to see his wall totally destroyed and a fully armed Rick walking in. Jerry gulped. "Jesus Christ! M-Mr. Sanchez, what are you doing here?!"
"Shut up!" Rick snapped before grabbing him by the front of his shirt, pulling him close and aiming a gun at his head. "You listen close, you better take care of my daughter and that seed you put into her or so help me God, I'll blow a fucking hole in your head, do I make myself clear, Jerryyyy?!"
Jerry gulped. "Y-Yes, crystal clear, S-Sir!" Rick then dropped him. "Good a-and don't tell Beth about this or you-you know, I-I'll kill you for that too." Rick then left, leaving Jerry to cry alone in his room.
…
With Beth,
She was sitting on her bed, crying when a knock came from her door. She wiped her tears before getting up and opening it. She was surprised to see her father, holding a plate of pancakes. They're her mother's famous strawberry, chocolate pancakes that Rick always makes for her after they have a bad fight. His way of saying sorry.
He sighed. "Look, I don't fully support what you're doing and I-I'm not going to help you raise this kid. W-What you did was your own fault, g-gotta take responsibility."
Beth sighed. "Ok, I guess that's fair." Rick looked her in the eyes. "What I will do is let you raise the kid here, so you don't have to pay any rent or anything…I'll even let Jerry move in so he can help you, so long as you promise to keep your legs close and not share the same room while you're still living under my roof." Beth blinked in surprise. "R-Really?"
Rick nodded. "Yes, really. Do-Do we have a deal?" Beth smiled at him. "Yes." Rick then offered her the pancakes. "So…we good?" Beth hugged him. "We're good. Thank you so much, Daddy." Rick looked at her sadly and kissed her head. "Sure, sweety."
Beth then pulled away and Rick gave her the plate of pancakes. "So, uh, wanna get a drink?" Beth raised a brow. "Dad, I'm pregnant." Rick shrugged while smirking. "Didn't stop your mother."
Beth chuckled. "Ok, what the hell."
"Cool beans! Let's go!"
