"Rrah! Glorious Burst!" A series of attacks destroyed a control spire while the second generation Digidestined looked on. Standing on one of the shoulders of a mega level dragon Digimon was a spiky-brown haired adult.

"Yeah, we rule!" Davis shouted.

"Nyah nyah!" Yolei stuck her tongue out.

"Take that, control spires." Davis said as the Digidestined did a victory dance with Ken watching in the distance.

"I never thought I'd have friends like this Wormmon." Ken said.

"Don't tell me, tell them." Wormmon said as Ken presented invitations.

"What if they don't come to my party?" Ken asked Wormmon.

"Of course they will." Wormmon answered. Davis then noticed Ken and ran over to them.

"Huh? Hey Ken, get over here and join us. Hey what you got there?" Davis asked.

"Well I..." Ken trailed off.

"Aw come on, Ken." Davis said.

'This Christmas party was a bad idea. I should forget the whole thing, but what can I do with all that eggnog?' Ken thought to himself.

"Hey guys, Ken's got something to show everybody." Davis announced.

'Thanks a lot Davis.' Ken thought.

"Come on guys, gather round." Davis said.

"What is it?" Kari asked.

"Cool?"

"Really?"

"Wow."

"Ahem I request the honor of your presence at a holiday celebration. That is I..." Ken told them nervously.

"Say no more you're having a Christmas party we're in." T.K said.

"Hey Ken, can we come?" Veemon asked.

"Of course. Maybe you'll even catch Gatomon under the mistletoe." Ken said jokingly as everyone received the invitation to Ken's party. T.K and Kari had sad expressions on their faces.

"Hey T.K, Kari what's wrong?" Yolei asked.

"Nothing, we're just thinking about a old friend." T.K answered.

"Yeah, we fought a lot of enemies with him." Kari added.

A armored dragon Digimon then entered the area.

"Where is this friend, guys?" Davis asked the two.

"No idea. It's been a few years since our last encounter." The dragon Digimon answered.

"ShineGreymon's right, he returned to his dimension and that was the last time we saw him." Kari added, sadly as tears ran down her face. Yolei came over to her.

"Listen Kari, I know saying goodbye to your friend is rough. But you still have us." Hearing this cheered her up as they returned to the real world. They had a surprise for Tai and the other original Digidestined. Ken told them to keep going as he would eventually catch up. As Ken got ready to leave, he suddenly heard a beautiful melody in the Digital World.

'Where's that coming from?' Ken asked himself in his head as he returned to the real world.

Little did he know a figure was standing on a tree, watching them. The figure had a leaf in his mouth that he was playing.

"Things have changed in the Digital World over the last three years." The cloaked figure said.

One of his eyes became visible causing ShineGreymon to become startled.

"You!" The mega level Digimon exclaimed in shock.

Back in the real world...

"Attention holiday shoppers get in the spirit of the season and spend, spend, spend." The announcer said.

"Sorry I'm so late guys, but there was this really cute girl who wanted my autograph." Matt apologized.

"Oh that is a lame excuse zip it."

"Everybody hear a rehearsal." Matt said. He was now a rock star. Then his cell phone rang.

"Sorry, Matt. I'm working late tonight. You'll have to make your own dinner, sport."

"That's okay dad, don't worry about it. My band has a gig tonight. Besides you're a lousy cook." Matt said.

"Very funny when you wolfed down my tuna surprise." Matt's father replied as he ended the call.

"I just love the holidays, Mummymon. All these smiling faces, all the better when we give them something to frown about." Arukenimon told him.

"Thanks for meeting me at the mall, Mr. Motomiya. It's so nice of you to return T.K's homework. He's so forgetful." T.K's mother said.

"At least your son does his homework. I had Christmas shopping to take care of anyway. I'm buying Davis a notebook not that he would ever use it." Mr. Motomiya said.

"By the way, thanks for always letting T.K come over. It really helps me out since I'm so busy." T.K's mother stated.

"It's okay, T.K's a great kid." Mr. Motomiya said before he left.

Sora's apartment...

She and her mother were spending time together on Christmas.

"Isn't it great Sora, we're spending Christmas together." Sora's mother told her.

"It sure is." Sora replied. Her mother saw her wearing a necklace with a green metal feather. It turned out to be the Earth Badge as she began to speak with her daughter.

"Sora, it's been three years since you've seen Ash Ketchum." Her mom pointed out.

"I know mom and it's hard not to forget him." She replied as a tear rolled down her eye. She then told her mom that she was going to meet up with her friends before running out the door.

"Let me out of here Davis. I know I'm supposed to be a present, but did you have to gift wrap me." Agumon complained.

"Shh. You'll ruin the surprise Agumon. Wait till I give you the signal. Now!" Davis shouted. The original Digidestined were reunited with their partners and were overjoyed to see them.

"I think they like their presents."

"Just call me Davis Claus." He joked.

"Just what I wanted. How did you know?"

"A little birdmon told us." Yolei said before noticing they were upset.

"Guys, do you really know what I want for Christmas." Tai told the others.

"Ahem." Both said.

"It's great that we saw our Digimon again, but I would like to see Ash again." Tai admitted.

"I miss him as well." Matt said.

"Yeah, this reunion isn't the same without him." Izzy pointed out.

"Yeah, he was a great friend." Joe replied as they look at Sora.

"I remember the time we hung out together. And when we shared our first kiss." Sora said, shocking Tai and Matt.

"What, he kissed you." They exclaimed.

"Yes, that's something I'll never forget." She remarked.

As the group prepared for Matt's concert, they observed a huge line. Sora had a box of cookies in her arms for Matt as Tai attempted to cheer her up over missing Ash. She informed Tai that she was going on a date with Matt while the second generation Digidestined attended Ken's Christmas party.

As they were conversing, they heard a crashing sound coming from nearby.

"What was that?" Cody asked. T.K and Kari weren't sure what produced the sound, so they decided to figure out the source. Kari put her winter outfit on and ran out the door.

"Hey Kari, get back here." Davis demanded as the others followed her to the spot where Myotismon had been defeated.

Once there the group noticed ShineGreymon. A spiky brown-haired adult was sitting on his shoulder.

"Yo." He greeted them. This young man's name is Ryu Yamamoto, the oldest member of the original Digidestined.

"Ryu, what are you doing here?" T.K asked.

"Celebrating Christmas with my friends. And I'm not alone, come on out." Ryu snapped his fingers. A shadowy figured stepped out from behind ShineGreymon's leg.

"Ash, is that you?" Kari asked. He nodded.

"Hello Kari." Ash said.

"Pika." Pikachu said.

Kari ran up and hugged him.

"Ash, Pikachu I thought we'd never see you guys again." Kari said. Ash realized he had been gone for way too long.

"Ash, Pikachu I can't believe you're here." T.K added as he, Patamon and Gatomon run over to the two.

"We really missed you guys." Patamon said.

"But now we're together again." Gatomon added.

"I'm happy to see you guys as well." Ash replied.

"Pika." Pikachu said.

Davis then decided to ask them a question.

"Alright, who's the new guy and how do you know him?" Davis asked, looking at Ash.

"That's our friend Ash, Davis!" Kari shot him a angry look.

"Wait I remember that name. You're the Pokemon trainer from another world that possesses the master digivice, right?" Cody questioned him. T.K and Kari were surprised to find out he knew this information.

"That's correct. You must be Cody, one of the newest digidestined."

"You know." T.K said as a smile formed on Ash's face.

"Izzy told me all about you guys, especially the new gogglehead." He explained.

"You mean Davis, right?" Davis corrected as Kari mentioned that he called Tai gogglehead.

"What brings you here, Ash?" T.K asked.

"I thought I would see you guys again, just like old times." Ash answered.

"Pika." Pikachu said.

"And we're happy to see you again. Say Ash, you wouldn't mind waiting at my place while we got Tai and the others, would you." Ash nodded as he headed to T.K's apartment. The others went to get the original group. Soon they arrived at T.K's apartment to meet them for a surprise that T.K mentioned. The original digidestined then went inside. Due to his size, ShineGreymon stood outside the building.

"So T.K, what's the surprise?" Tai asked.

"Yeah, what is it?" Sora questioned as her eyes were covered.

"This. You ready."

"Guess who." Sora recognized the voice.

"Ash, is that you?" She asked.

"Yeah." He answered. The original Digidestined and their partners were happy to see him after three years. Sora hugged him as tears trailed down her face.

"I thought I would never see you again." She admitted tearfully. Ash was happy to see her as Tai gave him a high five.

"Together again, Ash!" He exclaimed.

"Just like old times, Tai."

"It's been three years since we last saw you." Joe said.

"Yeah and I was thinking about asking Sora out on a date." Matt said.

"Relax, he's just joking." Ash calmed down after hearing that.

"There's a lot to fill you in on." Ryu continued. Ash was eager to hear what happened to the rest of the original Digidestined over the last three years.
